Nope that's what I thought also but checked they were running
Iron Maiden,No where to hide,Overcharge and Darkness revealed I even checked the add-ons nothing.

Yes and no.
Yes for the fact that you can unlock the perks way quicker meaning you can get either ever perks at tier 1 super easily for let's say both killer and survivor or if one person has amazing perks spend it all there.
No for the fact that you earn BP extremely quickly plus with the price change it's basically you can get close to level 50 within a few matches.
But save up since it is a good idea minus the annoying Blood web sound but overall saving up BP is good though I mainly do it while the chapter is in PTB since I don't have to look at the BP cap and just go through matches for well no BP but definitely saving up is a good idea.

This. There shouldn't be situations where it becomes '"welp, they have the add-on, we all die now" without some method of countering.
The problem lies within the achievement, not the counter plays.
The counter play does exist hiding in lockers is the counter play is but also play it smart when hiding. Since the achievement was around when hatch would only spawn at three gens it made sure you could at least try snagging it. But now with EGC your done for. Basically survivors can just wait out the timer plus DCing ruins the achievement basically the achievement either has been tuned in a way where it's still a challenge to get but can't be ruined because someone DCed or they hide in a locker.
A simple way to fix the achievement like so is by this
Either have be a sorts grind achievement like killing let's say 15 maybe a bit higher survivors while in tier 3 as the shape.
This makes a bit of a challenge in a way since you have to grind a bit, the survivors can still use lockers but you don't have to pull your hair out because the achievement is ruined.
If you want to make it similar to what it is kill 3 survivors while in tier 3 survivor it's one less but that means if someone DCed or escaped you still have a fighting chance.
There are ways to make the achievement both a challenge but not a nightmare to get.
-
I think it's because of the unlockables since their super easy to obtain since all you have to do is have someone else touch your envelope with no other major requirements people will bring in ten of the offerings for each of the unlockables once they have them all they just stop using them since they would want stuff like another map to play on. But it's like this for all the events though the anniversary gets it worse since people bring escape cakes but in short its just a mix of greed and just not wanting to use more of those offerings.
-
Flashlights, maps and keys I get them just to bypass them so I can get that one item or simple just so I can move on in the bloodweb.
Mainly flashlights though
Keys and Maps I rarely use since I don't find much of reason but flashlights I never use unless it's a challenge of stunning and blinding the killer but other then that I just don't get them on purpose because I hate flashlights.
-
Two reasons
1. Hoping the game will be as good as it was when I first started playing aka good matches
2. The amount of money I put into the game so if I stop playing basically I just wasted a lot of money
-
As much as I hate her Nurse is a alright killer it's just finding the good kind of Nurse's aka the ones that don't slug at 5 gens but overall Nurse is a alright killer. Her power is cool with a slow down being she isn't face so blinking is her mood of transportation she doesn't have all this extra flavor added barely any add-ons change how her blink works other then the one that makes her move at normal speed after a hit and stops her from blinking. But overall she's a good killer annoying sure but good.
-
3 gens is something survivors have to learn how to avoid by either using good info perks like Deja vu for a simple 3 gen removal start or Visionary for in door maps.
Yes three gens are annoying by with a good team they can get done the only time a full on complained was when RNG though having two gens extremely close together was a good idea.
But no 3 gens shouldn't be removed you just have to get used plus it's rare they happen with a good team and if the killer isn't doing a 3 gen build.

Well the killer kicks the gen and both go onto the gen, if no one touches the gen and the killer gets a down it will explode and regress the gen and the overcharge skill check is still there until someone tries to repair the gen.
But that's the weird thing I repaired the gen did the skill check and it blew up after giving the skill check

I was wonding if anyone else refuses to use perks that they don't like facing? For me it's eruption I don't run it because I hate getting hit with the incapacitated effect as a survivor so I don't put other players though that.
So does anyone not use a perk or even combo from either side?
DMS and Pain Resonance. I've hated facing that combo as survivor separate it's sorta meh but I still hate those perks I refuse to run no matter what plus by the time you use it once every survivor knows get off the gen and wait.

Frosty eyes is a tradition before BHVR had cosmetics they had frosty eyes as a way of saying hey it's Christmas enjoy I have frosty eyes I don't use them other then once a year just so I can put some holiday flair to the killers(minus twins since I missed that day) but they do it for tradition. Why is it a event cosmetic simple because fun fact it is look at Wesker his Blight outfit is an outfit but it's only ultra rare. Simple they put it as a way of keeping tradition no one uses it as far as I know or simply because they don't own any outfits for the killer but it's something you look at and just say huh maybe one day then completely forget about.

I remember when I first played the game matchmaking was fair and easy now seeing it all it is and possibly will be is choas...maybe it started when cross-platform or something else.

Its unfortunate cause some of the characters have such good lore. Even the base lore for Legion is decent and most of their archive entry is good too. Problem is that in both a small portion of their cosmetics and in their final archive entry (iirc) + the cinematic that comes with it, the lore contradicts what we were first told about the characters.
If there are any positives it seems like they're getting better at not writing lore that contradicts previously established lore.
Yeah though with their archive I felt like it wasn't showing certain things. Like example for the Christmas sweaters for Joey and Susie it says I only really remember Susie's that she envied her neighbors during Christmas...I think it said she was somewhat poor. But I would of enjoyed knowing stuff of how Joey and Susie felt about the legion's overall idea. I get the archive was mainly focusing on Julie but they could have mixed in her relationship with Joey and Susie showing how she bonds with them because I feel like Joey and Susie are just outfits there's little to no lore for them. Sure having this mystery is nice but when it's something like four teens in one I would want to know more about them.
-
@HugTheHag said:
Susie's lore is the most inconsistent in the game. In the original lore, she's the timd girl who never wanted to murder anyone. In her cosmetics lore, she's a merciless kid who'll stab people and steal their stuff.
Whoever writes the lore definitely doesn't know how to feel about her.
Thing is the outfits are supposed to be from different universes but I just feel like if they wanted Susie to have this complete 180 then wouldn't it make sense where Frank manipulates her all the time to do that.

Most people should know already if they have a flashlight to shine it on the hags traps or crawl over it.
Not when I play survivor they don't.
-
I'd probably say
Nemesis and Hag's
Nemesis it's more I get hit somehow and if the zombies count as part of his power then yes his zombies are also a problem they force me away a lot and constantly keep coming back to me even if I'm in a locker
Hag on the other hand her ability is fine I just hate when my team runs to me on hook when she's placed traps because I already know their going to be grabbed
I would say Nurse and Wraith but for Wraith I just can't figure out how to counter him and Nurse it's more just hit validation

Yeah but downing all survivors and it's always a Nurse with Infectious I get you want to apply pressure but if your not picking up anyone and just forcing slugs then it's not even a match.

old Hillbilly was more fun to play as a casual killer
Still overheat was just to prevent people from using the chainsaw all the time but it takes longer to charge and just he's now a map traveling killer.

Extremely rarely or on ever rare cases the only chance I really let anyone go is if they got sandbagged. Other then that I usually just kill all the survivors since I don't trust certain things when it comes to freeing the last survivor usually it being they'll probably be toxic in endgame chat and such. This just comes from experiencing more killer's carrying me to hatch and closing it on my face. The only time I actually let people go for the sake of not being sandbagged was a Kate who basically hid in Midwich basement having the whole you can't bring me to any hook build on(she was solo que so that build barely worked) so in the end I just focused on her downing her and made sure no one would rescue her since I didn't want to pull my hair out after she died I let everyone else escape for free.

@Sonzaishinai said:
Let go of the gen when you see the killer is about to hook someone.
If you aren't blinded you can even wait untill the very last second
That's the problem I do but my teammate never will it'll be about 95% done I know we won't be able to finish it in time because of how close the hook is so I let go and well no one else does.

So you're the one who actually likes RPD 😅
All kidding aside, there were very very very few people on either side of the coin that liked RPD. I had even said when it was first announced that the RPD was a huge place in the game and would be way too big for a DBD map and that was proven correct. I'll still play the map because I just let the RNG chips fall where they fall but RPD is very rarely an enjoyable experience for me on either side of the game...
To say the least seeing the rpd map is nice if your not being chased down and such I feel like it's more just a sight seeing kind of map find any Easter eggs on map.

Ok and I’ve done this trick multiple times as fun with a friend. Sometimes we died and sometimes we lived. Either way we were messing around a didn’t care about sending the killer a message. Just because 1 group did it to you doesn’t mean all of them do
Then again I don't think most people report they get their revenge in match by letting you die on hook.

I'm tired of people thinking a perk and using it the best way they can is considered an exploit.

Why working with killer is bannable? You mean sabotaging gameplay?
Bannable because your sabotaging your teams game ruining their experience it's a temporary ban by the looks of the rules plus it was on PS4 even then most people don't report they just move on.
-
@D2night said:
theyre just having fun. I wouldn’t call them a “bully squad”. That trick is easily avoidable with many options. 1) ignore them and go after the other 2 survivors. 2) snuff out the boon and let them waste their unbreakable and kill them again while boon isn’t up anymore. 3) snuff out boon and bring them to a hook (its hard but it definitely can be done especially if the breakable walls are destroyed). 4) those 2 people aren’t doing gens.
i think you’re trying to be a hero but instead you’re actually confusing “bully squad” with “a fun perk build”. Sometimes you just need fun in dbd. And doing that trick isn’t anywhere near a bully squad or the worst thing they could do. Most people would rather verse that than verse 3 flashlights and 1 sabo toolbox, with head on, DS, 4 petrified oaks, COH, etc, etc. those are way harder to verse than a simple, easy to avoid, trick.
all you did was just ruin some fun, I don’t blame them for being annoyed
Yeah I know that it can be a fun perk squad and sure maybe I was being a white knight but it's also because with MMR could have been a baby killer and well don't want to ruin their experience.

Hey.
So recently I played like 6 matches as a killer (3 nurse, 2 hag and 1 sadako)... And from each of this match, I've had people DC, afk (giving up) after 3 gen pops. I suppouse soloq only. And I swear, it's getting so ridiculous.
In some of this matches, they were ragequitting and afking even when I was actually losing, and I'm not kidding.
It was a match with hag, the match for me was awful, maybe the worst possible scenario (who playing hag, knows...) the only thing why I won this match, it's coz 1 guy just DC'd after I (somehow) downed him.
What is happening with survivors? What is the point of even getting into the match, if you know you're going to dc or ######### on hook?
Are they hoping to get a "baby killer" to go against? Are they protesting the changes that way? If so, I don't think it's a smart way.
I also looked up some Youtube vids to see how some survivors playing soloq, and they're mad. Don't get me wrong, they're mad on their teammates, ruining the game, killing themselves on hooks and denying to play.
I looked up more, and I've seen more people just ragequitting in a 100% winnable match. The killer 100% will lose this match, and they still DC or K themselves on hooks...
Dear survivors, what is going on? What are you exactly want to achieve like this?
Usually it's something like I don't like facing this killer,to many hooks not enough gens done,my teammates did something dumb even though I've done worse stuff like that
Killers giving up is well most of the time because they got one hook and 1 gen is left.

They can't change achievements unless they become (literally) impossible to do.
So your telling me that it is still possible to get left 4 dead even though the chances of getting a killer who would give you this achievement are low and the fact that it's 90 seconds to do a gen and that they won't just close hatch.

While i dont have left for dead yet, your suggestion seems a little too easy, and the achievement is still possible although pretty situational and difficult.
As for Evil Incarnate i just did this one pre patch using up my addons on myers before prestiging him it took about 4 tries, so more than doable i would say.
For left for dead it was more of a idea but there could be alternatives

19. Executioner 4K at 2 gens left with 8 hooks
20. Legion 1K with 8 hooks I let last 3 escape
So I averaged 2,85 kills, 8,8 hooks per game and on average 3,35 gens get done but I could done better if I didn't let some survivors escape. How other killers games have went?
Simple about 3 hooks within three gens because Matchmaking screws me over all the time as killer

Killers that keep letting survivors win are doing nothing but messing with the numbers. When killers do this they just pad the metric that the devs are looking at to decide how to buff or nerf things. I personally will waste a killers time instead of them allowing me to escape.
Or maybe they let survivors win to lower their MMR so they can play with players they skill level
