No. It's just a fun little collaboration similar to the one with Crypt TV.

Minus the NFT problem with them and banning people who say they shouldn't be supporting them?

I really hope you asking this for only lore knowledge... 😏

Only a creator can give you a 100% legit answer to that tho.=)

I'm mainly asking because it came to my head you know how old most of the other killers are just by their lore and maps at times but Hag isn't really explained

Dredge even though it wouldn't have an age was created in the 60's or 70's meaning it would be about 50 or 60 years old if we're talking about present day.

For someone like Doctor he seems relatively young about early thirties in his archive plus with the fact most people connect his whole project awakening with MKULTRA which happened in the 60's or 50's and ended in the 70's also would place Doctor if he was present day age at possibly 60 I don't know proper math or age by appearance.

Last one is Legion super easy with overall age their in high-school with Susie being a sophomore(hopefully I spelt that right) she would possibly be around 15 or 16 with everyone else possibly being 17 of 18 if Albert goes to the twelfth grade as some places in Canada only do Eleventh grade.

So overall Hag's age isn't known due to her appearance being a walking corpse.

I was wondering what challenge would be worse than the 3-blink grab challenge (during that period where the 3-blinks Nurse could not traverse objects) or even the Evil Incarnate achievement (that took several games of training followed by a few tries).

Sacrificing four survivors in the basement? That's it? That's really not that difficult. It's not like if the challenge was to sacrifice the four of them during the same minute period (although not that difficult either) or at the same time (again : not impossible, I may have several screenshots with different killers).

Also remember that matchmaking is was bad not as bad as now but was bad and plus dcs don't contribute to it.

What do you mean you were hooked and then body blocked? We’re you on the hook and he just stood in front of you or did you end up in a corner somewhere and he blocked you in and you couldn’t get around him?

In front of me just doing nothing other then hitting next to me because that's where the totem was and hitting me.

  • @Akumakaji said:

I often leave instead of going for an all out safe, just for the killers sake. Most of the time the killer is really struggling and even the meager 1k will often be taken away by strong and competent survivors.

When the killer dominates, giving hatch isn't unheared of, and some survivors even demand it; at the very least gifting hatch is a common occurrence, so I would love to see the same from the other side.

If the survivors dominate, why go for each and every safe and leave the killer with nothing? If we had the same culture as with the hatch, I am sure the toxicity, camping and tunneling would curb down a fair bit.

Just some food for thoughts. A 4E is fun, but honestly, 1k ain't that bad, right? And you don't lose that much. So show some pity, next time you totally walz over a killer.

I get it if there killer is having a hard time basically zero hooks or anything and well their not a basement Bubba I'll more then likely go out of my way to let them at least get a killer it's when the killer has gotten multiple hooks and even a kill that it annoys me with teammates teabagging the exit gate and not bothering to help.

  • @GoshJosh said:

It’s very unclear. Wherever a totem can spawn, but isn’t at during that trial, is where they can appear.

I feel like they should say what you have to do to active them or simple enough any totem that was destroyed a green glyph just spawns near it

It does hide scratch marks. It also hides auras which makes it incredibly useful when going up against certain killer perks.

Okay so maybe the survivor just isn't in the radius of it when chasing them

  • I'm confused I know his head does appear in the lobby at times but is he completely gone from the map?

    Nightfall doesn't happen that often

Survivors don't fall for his anti loop, at least in my mmr bracket.

Who wastes resources? the survivors i face only use one locker bolt at a time and it forces me into that locker.

I have not been able to surprise a singe survivor since he came out.

Nightfall doesn't happen that often because it would be OP and there are add-ons to increase the rate it happens

Because people start to get the idea to leave the loop which means that's Anti loop

Also people are getting used to it at the start a lot of people bolted near generators soon enough bolting them will be rare but usually will happen near 80% of the gens completions due to Tinkerer

For surprising a survivor if you mean them opening a locker for that grab then it makes sense it's like facing Ghostface once you realize it's Ghostface you know what to do look around constantly for Dredge once you know your facing it so you don't enter lockers Dredge is more made for map traversal

NO! killers must be day 1 noob friendly or they are OP!!!!!!!!/s

He isn't even good so i have no idea why people are complaining. Once survivors figure him out then he will fade into obscurity like sadako.

    He is loud

    He has massive tells

The teleport is slow and not stealthy at all

you can deny his power with the locker bolts

Teleport priority to force locker bolts.

    He isn't loud

His tells are when he's close

    Slow when not in nightfall

He can exit lockers and break locks with no cooldown with a basic hit

He can just waste the resource because people constantly lock lockers

I'm only complaining about his speed because I can't tell if he is slowed but he is also relatively new so I have to get used to it but the points you made can be just simple answered.

Sorry if your feelings get hurt that there are situations where camping an area is a legit strategy.

I had a game where I camped a survivor, because it was the only real option. I downed a survivor by shack. Hooked them by shack. The 4th gen pops and I see that the last 3 gens are right by shack. So I stood on the hill in the middle of the 3 gen and watched both the hooked survivor and the 3 gens that all had no progress on them.

I understand if someone camps at 1 gen with maybe two or just one hook but it's when people camp at five or four gens and slug not by option because of dc but just because they want to and just let you bleed out.

  • @ThiccBudhha said:

Hitting a survivor on hook? Or do you mean a slower bleed out time? I am confused by what the problem is.

    Mainly camping.

  • @loothound said:

but if your rescuer does the gen solo prove thyself doesnt work? It only applies the speed boost to yourself?

    No it applies to others.

  • @OllieHellhunter said:

All Killers have the same basic attack ranges as far as I recall, was your connection fluctuating by any chance?

Nope I have a strong internet connect but hit detection just for some reason is just bad.

  • @humanbeing1704 said:

what do you mean? like the tentacle is permanently out?

No it doesn't come out at all but your movement speed acts like it is and will keep going down the more you try using it to the point you can't move at all.

    Thanks op!

You have three matches to pass the curse on or else you'll get this map forever or just when your playing a killer that sucks on it and if your playing survivor garbage teammates with this map also.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

This has been an issue for several patches. Really frustrating to play against when you're looping a nemesis and get tentacle hit with his hand down.

No the tentacle never sticks that's the thing because it still acts like it's out. But if it's an issue why isn't he disabled yet.

  • @DrDeepwound said:

Because back in the old days sabo was much different. Hooks used to break permanently, hooks have been changed many times over the years, and so has sabo for this very reason.

saboing used to be way more difficult to go against. Originally sabboed hooks were gone permanently, so to give the killers somewhere to hook as last resort, basement hooks do not break.

I mean the way of what makes them super special I'm not focusing on sabotage or anything like I just mean how do they not break.

  • @Cyanide2817 said:

I like that for certain strong loops and its an intresting idea. Problem is the devs have to be careful where they place them so survivors don't loose most their loops.

I would say maybe on some T and L walls I would more likely expect if they did it not for it to be another Game map problem where their everywhere probably on four windows or something really it depends on the map.

  • @Azarino said:

Makes me want to tear my hair out. I give up trying against this anymore. How do you counter this as survivor?

Solo queue has also been a nightmare, and i've been left to die on 1st hook. What's happened to MMR?

Legion and Thanaphobia is like peanut butter and jam both suck alone but together are good besides when I face legion I expect Thanatophobia on them because it's a good perk for them besides simple answer to counter it just bring self-care sure it's slow but it's self-care.

3 same items (flashlights usualy), 3+ people from the same platform, looking like potencial SWF group.

What do you do? Nothing? Pick the best tools? Dodge? etc.

I saw 3 people from same platform with 3 flashlights and I thought "Oh I think it will be bully SWF where they just run around you and click click tbagg everywhere"... and yep, I was right lol.

Simple if I don't have lightborn just leave the lobby I dislike using and facing against flashlights.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

your a killer you have lightborn and Franklin's

That'd be a silly thing to say, as the whole point of last-second switching is to deny the killer a chance to equip either of those perks. Most killers won't keep one of those equipped because they'd rather have something useful.

I'm not most killers. I keep Lightborn on at all times, and I have had survivors with flashlights disconnect the moment they couldn't blind me.

And lose their items and possibly become salty messaging saying your using an OP perk still don't get why people complain about Lightborn there are other items to use and two of them (keys and maps) are barely used by anyone.

  • @Steel_Eyed said:

Imagine being a dev reading this. Just spent the last month tweaking MMR. Was very open about the process. Formulas. What they did. Even did a massive ban wave of cheating accounts.

    You get this.

    It will never be enough.

I'm just annoyed with it all I get is just high skill level SWF all the time and the same kind of match ad survivors teammates that don't know what to do.

I have hope that the game will make it, but you know, this anniversary is shaping up to be relatively lackluster, and Sadako couldn't bring them to the green, so they really need to pop off. I bet she would have turned things around, had they released her as a viable killer. She did a good job considering she is borderline unusable.

I try getting hope that the game will be good and that my matches will at least have some kinda of fun to it but no all it is, is well high skill survivors none stop and just the same BS I'm about to say this I thought Rainbow had the worse matchmaking no DBD took its place.

  • @StarLost said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/319326/this-is-why-mmr-doesnt-work-for-killer

    ...Wut.

Okay, firstly - every killer has their own MMR. The only thing that's hinky is the MMR of new killers being tied to the MMR of your highest killer, not the average.

Which yes - if it's still the case - is very dumb.

Secondly, it's prime-time. SBMM breaks down during prime-time. Wait for the MMR tweaks or get ready for every match to be a potential sweatfest.

No they do have the same MMR because they never said it and two I fail one match and still facing high mmr survivors and why is there a prime time because seriously I would love to know what universe your in where MMR is different on all killers.

  • @sizzlingmario4 said:

What perks did the killer have?

The Scourge hook that blows up the gen.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

As I understand it, your MMR doesn’t lower from just not playing. Though I believe they did say they are looking at introducing that.

It better happen I haven't played killer and already 2 bully squads like I haven't played killer in maybe a month now.

  • Usually Iron will and spine chill for my mains as survivor I do try to give them two perks that can give them different roles.

For killer depends how I feel my games will go mainly Franklin's or lightborn if there's more then one flashlight but Franklin's sometimes devour.

  • I was going say Ashley for RE 4 also

I would say Micheal from the new Halloween films all withered plus an older Laurie

Of all of the absolutely terrible killer perks, that is the one you have a problem with? It provides benefit, which puts well above the majority of killer perks. It slows the beginning part of the game down for survivors, while they have to run to gens further away. Plus, the killer knows they don't have to head to those gens and can head to closer gens, likely leading to earlier chases, and possibly downs.

I just find it boring I get it's a strategy thing but I find myself facing more and more killers with it so I've just come to think every killer brings.

  • For me I find it low since I've played with hackers and both were survivors and all did the same thing quick healing so I find survivors even have more of a chance hacking then killers do.

  • @GeneralV said:

Worse than the previous version, as all reworked maps are.

If Chapel, once the most balanced map in the game, is now extremely painful to play on...then Haddonfield will become a monster.

To be fair all the farm, MacMillan and auto heaven maps are fair they added breakable walls but not like at every corner just at the main building and it doesn't seem as bad that's how you make a good rework.

Why just these 4? There's been plenty of other ones over the years (not to mention "Winter Solstice", "Blight Event", and "Lunar New Year" are vague and can all correspond to multiple different events).

Excluding mini-events and blood hunts, I suppose from best to worst I'd go:

Moonrise - Paper Lanterns (Lunar New Year 2019)

-My personal favorite. The lanterns were a pleasant mechanic that didn't greatly interfere with gameplay and were probably the inspiration for the Anniversary Event's Crown system.

Scorching Summer BBQ - Grill Hooks & Margarita Gens (Summer 2018)

-IMO the best of the "complete special gens and use special hooks" events. I really liked the altered assets and sound effects. I also started playing DbD during this event, so it holds strong nostalgia value for me too.

    4th/5th Anniversary - Crown Pillars & Cake (Summer 2020 & 2021)

-It's basically just Moonrise turned into a summer event with cake. Offered good motivation to use all original characters for at least a little bit. Though I'll admit I wasn't a fan of the Crown re-design for 2021.

Bone Chill - Snowmen Suits (Winter Solstice 2021)

-To my knowledge, it was the first winter event to introduce a new game mechanic. Snowmen were an interesting way to mix things up in the derpiest way.

Hallowed Blight - Pustula Plants (Halloween 2018)

-Pustula Plants were a pretty interesting alternate objective for the survivors. Probably would be higher on this list if it hadn't disrupted standard gameplay to such a large extent (lots of survivors were simply collecting their vials and sacrificing themselves without really playing the game).

Gilded Stampede - Lunar Hooks/Gens, added lunar toolbox (Lunar New Year 2021)

-Updated version of Scarlet Swarm with more stuff. Haven't played Lurking Stripes yet, but it probably would rank right above this one if it's continuing the trend.

Scarlet Swarm - Lunar Hooks/Gens, re-enabled firecrackers (Lunar New Year 2020)

-A pretty generic event. But firecracker-laden assets are still neat and it brought back the firecracker item again.

    Withering Blight - Pustula Gens/Hooks (Halloween 2019)

-Generic Halloween event. Kind of a bummer compared to what preceded it, but it would probably be hard to truly re-use the pustula plants without seriously disrupting normal gameplay again.

    3rd Anniversary - Blood Hunt & Sale (Summer 2019)

-Does this even really count? It was basically just a blood hunt and store discount.

Advent Calendar - Daily Logins (Winter 2020)

-The one event you could earn everything from without actually playing the game.

Winter Solstice - Mystery Boxes (Winter Solstice 2018)

-Just a tweak to the lobby and the bloodweb for a little bit. Not bad by any means, but not terribly interesting.

Eternal Blight - Literally Withering Blight but somehow worse (Halloween 2020)

-Low rewards for using event gens/hooks, offerings that struggled to justify their cost (which was already low) and a generally boring event. IMO it was the weakest event DbD has ever had.

No Opinion (because I didn't play during them):

-Any 2017 event (Lunar New Year, All Hallow's Eve, Winter Solstice)

-Howling Grounds (Lunar New Year 2018)

    -Midnight Grove (Halloween 2021)

I guess you are right with the how there are multiple I just went with those since I ment in the way of also the one you get excited for to come out.

Those remove your ability from hearing the terror radius while afflicted by whatever action activates them.

Nope I was hooked and shows it wasn't Hysteria or Plaything because I would randomly hear the piano play in his terror radius even though at other moments he could be near and nothing happens Deathbound no because we healed and never got a prompt for it and Retribution
