I grinded so much during event, burned myself out bros. Haven't had desire to play all week, grinded the flans too much.
Been playing Salt Sanctuary, might finish Blasphemous after SnS
-
RPD offering + Boil Over = camp and slug
they did not come for a normal game, nor will I give them one.
bleed out Kate. and David, just gonna stand here next to you while you hit the end of second stage.
-
Things like this are consciously left in the game at the detriment of people who have real issues. I don't even have epilepsy but I wear glasses when playing and the macro flashing flashlights will often give me eye strain sensations, like I literally did not have any headache feels before match, now I do... Luckily I do not have it as bad as some, but macro flashlights being allowed in the game so long its obvious they have no intention of changing this mechanic considering it is such an easy fix.

Remember too your MMR score doesn't mean you'll get matched with survivors of the same "skill". There are way less killers playing which means those high MMR survivor teams will get matched with lower MMR killers more often than not. I honestly don't think a lot of killer players will return until the update. I'm one of them.
I havent really played killer since event ended and have no desire to until the meta changes. Got the flan burn out I think. Been playing Salt Sanctuary this week LOL

No, the thread is about killers who let survivors get glyphs, not about cool players or victim mentality.
No one is complaining about being a victim at all, simply saying, both sides can be cool towards the others and it doesnt have to be a comp fest. I played extremly friendly during event and obviously do not take this game as seriously as some of you.
I enjoy messing around with killer as surv, if some of you woul,d relax a bit and have fun you may actually enjoy the game more.
To each his own, hope you all have a good 4th of July, Im about to get the backyard ready for tomorrow!

Survivors arent able to stop you from getting them. That's the difference. You can get them without someone else stopping you.
Thread is about being a cool player, survs could do that too. Hell if one stopped running, I would probably let them go. IDK maybe meme and have fun? shine a flashy at the glyph and crouch?
@Beatricks said:
It always warms my heart when a survivor crouches exactly one time to thank it and we can carry on with our game.
you know, like this?
nah that is asking too much
-
Problem is, I have not ONCE seen a single survivor stop running when I am getting a glyph.
Not ONCE. But I have let survs get them..
-
Admittedly, I played very friendly during Twisted Masquerade and I was surprised at how the caliber of survivors I faced changed so much.
I went from in your face SWFs playing aggressive to survs that were stealthing, scared, and not touching gens i wandered the maps like where is everybody? Are they really hiding like this?? Had not seen it in a long time.... had to start playing normal last night to get out of those ranks.
It is night and day difference when you face good teams or scared survivors.
-
It is telling isn't it? I watch tons of yt DBD vids while working and I have never seen killer mains make vids the way surv mains do.
the constant yelling alone, like they use yelling to cover up their bad plays or something meanwhile killers making educational level vids.
Ive always said, killers are more PVP survs are more like PVE, they dont consider you an opponent, you are a buffoon boss they want to cheese

P7, P8 and P9 are for the teachable perks as a charm.
P4,P5 and P6 are for the bloody cosmetics
thanks for clarification.
-
love the clown screen, props.
-
As someone with almost all my killers p3ed, I dont think I have the desire to like p7,p8,p9 any survs or killers just to get bloody clothes anymore tbh
-
Its simple, majority of survivors do not master any killers, if they played Blight as killer they get a better feel for the movements and how to counter them.
Playing both sides of this game at a high level will make you understand the opposing side even more. But many do not do this.

Body is 1 character too short.

With how much killers are crying about it, most definitely.
oh its not just killers, twitter has enough survivor mains making vids showing it OP devs will see those way long before some killer gripe on a forum.
Survivors are showcasing it as well just not in same way, more like "look ma I can take 6 hits now stupid baby killers" devs have shown us time and time again, survs will abuse anything and everything, and in the end devs have to address it. Not because of killers, because of survs own actions

This would also be true . . . on paper. Except there are already videos out there showing how aggressively it is being used for body-blocking the Killer.
I mean, things like this are literally designed whether intentionally or not to encourage such stuff.
A person with these perks can't do anything else EXCEPT get in killers face, which is what we all know will happen.... if they do anything else they lose their perk proc, so why not just troll the killer a bit for 80 seconds
-
I know survs think this will make their life better, but changes like this cause other things, for example this would make killers slug more imo. The incentive to slug everyone will increase, slug em all and theyll bleed out even faster.
I dont think things like this will fix slugging, it will increase it.
ps slugging is a tactic used to create pressure in a match nothing really broken about it.

I'm glad you have fun as a survivor. I run a discord server and one of the largest games on there is a DbD. These are the complaints I'm hearing from my friends, who play survivor and even from other discord users who also play survivor.
But tell me something, do you have fun when you are face-camped at gen 5? I'm not asking if you forget about it and go to the next game. I'm asking, do you have fun when you are face-camped at gen 5? Do you feel the game is fair, when a killer can camp you at gen 5 and completely keep you from playing the game?
Because they spend more time on discord complaining instead of getting better at the game. Most likely also bring about the camping on themselves by the way they play.
-
Survivors on forum: every match is facecamper
Me Killer Main plays surv every night: has not seen facecamper in awhile, only play soloq and have matches I escape without even getting hit.

Yeah, but then killers argue its not fair that they need a perk to kill totems, so why i need a perk to stand up again? Unbreakable also only works once.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3036773#Comment_3036773
Its not the "death" state. Its the dying state. Its not dead. So not an earned win.
Also many nurses or blights for example slug and if they are good, its not that hard.
the logic displayed here is amazing.
So if a killer hits 4 people twice and downs them all its a free win.
k got it.

I bet if i say that DS is healthy in the endgame, cause the killer didnt triggered it during match, would be the same.
It shouldnt be a free win to slug 4 people.
Because slugging all 4 is not a free win, it is an earned win.
If all 4 go down, they made some bad mistakes and essentially lost the match.
Killer earned all 4 downs.
-
If I were to bet, I would say its going LIVE as is, they maybe change it to 60 secs in future

I was an OG Freddy main, I didn't like him after changes switched to Legion upon release then they gutted him after release so been Bubba since. Although recent Legion rework is nice, I still prefer Bubba these days.

As a Bubba this happens all the time, they swarm hook as if I am gonna camp,... ummm bros, check my perks Im a Bamboozle chase Bubba,... the three of them will swarm hook or try unhook before I even leave.
Survivors force Bubbas to camp
-
Twitter accounts spread fake info for clout and views.
This one in particular used a fan made model to concoct a twitter post that has all kinds of people including well known streamers spreading this info, making videos for views etc,... all because some account made up some post for clout. They then deleted the post and here we are.

@D2night said:
you could’ve chased after one of them but instead you chose to camp.. probably ran after one for 5 feet and then went right back to the hook. They were right, you were camping.. what do you want them to do? Purposefully go across the map and hide in a corner so you can feel better about leaving the hook meanwhile the person on hook goes to 2nd stage/dies? You camped
You have not read the killer rulebook.
If no one is doing gens, you have no reason to leave Goalie.
-
ngl I usually dont even run an exhaustion perk except adrenaline definitely not a DH user.
-
with distortion getting buffed to infinite use BBQ dead bros
-
hexes are a relic design imo, I refuse to run hexes, might as well discontinue them and just let them use totems for boons anyway
I stopped running ruin back during OG Freddy days
-
I would like to turn grade icon off too.
Dont even want to see it.

If I remember correctly he was just a pretty bad player against some high hour survivors, he only caught one and camped them because we had the gens done, don't blame him to be fair.
Damn, thinking about it I wish I'd added the maps we played on.
I am attemping to do 500 match hours on Bubba and started doing a list like this but man it takes some dedication, I kind of started slacking and not adding matches and then gave up,... I applaud your research and yes add maps!

Did the Bubba camp in match #16?

And you're still complaining.
And no, there was no thread about the update in specific, it was mentioned on the comments on another thread but it wasn't the thread itself, so making one it's easier for people to see it directly instead of having to fish out information from comments.
You must not know the definition of complaining, but do go on... I linked the thread you claim did not exist LUL

You really complaining about a feature to help hoh/deaf people just because it makes you have to make a bit more effort to get closer to survivors?
And like it was said in the clip, it wont work on undetectable.
Nope, in fact, we already had/have a nice thread about this topic, you just wanted to start another one.
I have and will continue to support accessibility in this game, I myself wear glasses when playing due to my vision (wearing them now to see the screen text as I type) so for you to even insinuate that I do not support these things is a bit shallow. However, I CAN and will point out the Spine Chill changes were done to stop crab walking.... then reverted and we still crab walk.
You can find my support here https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/331253/spine-chill-change-being-deaf
-
"Spine Chill will now only activate if the Killer has a clear line of sight to the Survivor. This will remove the awkward counterplay where the Killer must look away to ensure a stealthy approach."
SIKE! you guys still gotta crab walk across map
-
@Coffeecrashing said:

Yes. Instead of needing to crabwalk 37 meters, most killers will only need to crabwalk 33 meters.
While I FULLY support accessibility, I think it is odd that they used "making killers crab walk" as reason to change it, but then changed it right back after accessibility issues were brought up.
"Spine Chill will now only activate if the Killer has a clear line of sight to the Survivor. This will remove the awkward counterplay where the Killer must look away to ensure a stealthy approach."
Crab walking was gone,.... then, back again before it was removed LUL

As Aven said, they've listened to this feedback thankfully, and it'll be based on the terror radius when it goes live. Twitch clip here: https://clips.twitch.tv/UgliestToughTruffleMikeHogu-QpojWJfPh0AARUb5
Great change on this BHVR - appreciate this change.
will killers still have to crab walk once they are within terror radius of a surv?
-
ngl, this part was funny
"Survivors need time to get away from a killer considering the difference in movement speed between a killer and survivor. If a survivor tries to run away from a killer who already has vision on them, then getting away cannot happen. It's too late for a survivor to try and run away--especially in a straight line."
Terror radius + loops + pallets + looking around all of that meaningless now bois, Spine Chill gone, no chance to escape a chase. LUL

I wish we could turn off the grade icon.
Notice everyone says "ah your grade means nothing"
Well then why is it the largest icon on the screen? You think thats by accident?
Also giving grade/rewards makes it very much mean something.
I wish I could just turn off the icon and never see it tbh
-
I hope they add icons or something so people like you can play the game.

I've played since beta in 2016.
Yes, I was around when there was no way to unhook.
Killer blocking an unhook and Survivor blocking a hook are completely different.
There are even perks for this????????
That is fine, I don't expect everyone to agree with me.
What I took issue with, was you telling me I support killers using exploits while being biased towards survivors. I play surv every single day and sometimes do not even play killer in my session so to project that sort of bias is silly when I have supported swivel hooks in public since 2017 when they were added.
I do not support either side using exploits, you could have debated my comment without the accusation. I play both sides enough to form my own opinion that one side blocking an unhook is the same mechanically as the other side blocking hooks.

I don't think Prove Thyself is that big of a deal because it puts Survivors at a disadvantage, grouping up on Generators isn't as efficient as splitting up, and grouping up also brings the risk of letting the Killer pressure multiple Survivors at the same time
I run ProveThyself and I get the most value out of it, in beginning and end.
I can spawn in, and me and another surv can have first gen done before killers makes it around map.
Likewise, at end of trial, we hop on that last gen thats half done and bang it out while killers hooks someone across map. I always run ProveThyself

Its a pure mechanical thing, like when you buy a new tool, you sit down at your desk, switch on your lamp and just examine it from all sides and get a feel for it before you take it to the workshop to do some work. Its not something fancy, but with a new killer it would be nice to have a setting were you can just USE the power and see how it works without anyone interfering or poping gens in the background or whatever.
Its not supposed to be a main mode or anything, just a smol map, two survivors running around and done. Yes, you can do this on any match that you throw, but it still a somewhat stressful situation. And yes, you could always ask a friend to do a private lobby, but thats still another person to rely on and some people would just love to try and figure things out in utter peace.
For like the first 5 Dredge matches, I kept teleporting to a locker across map while trying to figure out remnant mid chase LOL

i see it a bit differently. High MMR 10%
I understand, but even the devs use the term 1% to represent the high MMR, majority of all players are nowhere near it, seems it is actually less than 1%
-
Low to mid MMR - 99% players
High MMR: 1% Players
