It was fun reading through all the comments. DBD only lives on the licenses, the community is absolutely toxic & the core game is repetitive & boring. TCSM has a much more engaging core game & is better for that alone. All players from F13 will switch to TCSM, from DBD probably half & from Evil Dead anyway, the competition in the genre is not too big :)
Like I said I'll see.
I'm not in a rush to get it after resistance, evil dead and the way DBD is now I don't have the excitement for any of these new asymmetric horror games.
F13 was The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be it sucks the law suit killed that game.

I hope the game last long I'll get it then if it does, but I don't think so.
It will be fun for the first six months or so until everyone starts screaming for nerfs and buffs, where it becomes another sweat fest like evil dead and resident evil resistance. Everyone stops playing and all that's left are the try- hards.

There's nothing you can do besides take breaks. Come back for a couple days take a longer break. If you have to eat #########, best not to nibble. Bite, chew, swallow, repeat. It goes quicker. 😂
Until the DEVs do some big changes to the game play it's going to continue to be a competitive game

Why does it matter when you can just camp.

Lobby dodging or not the problem with the MMR is kills/escapes.
New killer with 1 to 87 hours can camp and tunnel for kills move up and go against survivors with over 1k hours.
Same with a new survivor hides all match when all gens done run to the gate open it and leave moves up in MMR to face off against over 1k hour killers.
Killers dodging in search for easy matches is a problem, but kills/escapes is the real issue.

Man, Detroit is such a fantastic game. Also recommend Red Dead Redemption 2 if you have a lot of time to sink in to one game. That story is a masterpiece, and I do not use that M word lightly.

Yeah, i learned this about a year ago or whenever Knight came out. I dropped the game completely and only played like once a month since then for an hour or two before i realized why I stopped playing in the first place and go back to Overwatch, Apex, Fortnite, Resident Evil, anything/everything else
I haven't played in over four months or so. I been taking breaks since resident evil resistance came out.
I think about loading up once in awhile, but then I stop and ask myself Why?
I'll enjoy it for a night or maybe two by the third I get reminded why. Fun is not allowed just competitiveness.
I have fun playing killer survivor is the same boring game play either sit on gens or get camped out the match at five gens. Boring!
I would rather play something else.

You are right about the community, but it's both sides with their crying and bitching for nerfs that made this game un fun and boring.
Take a break and Play something else. There are tons of games online, in stores to purchase and play. DBD is not the only game.
The longer your break the easier it is to come and go as you please. It's a video game it's meant to be fun if you're not having fun PLAY SOMETHING ELSE this goes for both sides.

This is my fear as well. They can just tunnel (unless that gets fixed) or proxy camp, no? If they want you out they'll sadly be able to find a way still.
Yeah, I thought about that too. The killer can deny the bar from filling all together by staying close to the hook allowing the unhooking or they will camp right in the survivors face. Either way yeah that survivor is going back down and on the hook again.
I have my doubts about it.
Oh yeah, Don't forget about the hook smacking and nodding too😂

That's because it's the wrong anti camp mechanic.
Honestly don't know how they haven't implemented cage of torments premise as standard yet.
Because too many will cry about not being able to camp and get easy kills.
DEVS want the camping otherwise they probably would of done the teleporting to another hook.
I also thought about the distance.
How far away can the killer be that they can still camp the hook and deny the bar to fill?

Like above Miller owns the rights to the first movie Cunningham owns the rights to adult Jason, but can't use him in anything without Millers permission. Miller can't use adult Jason without Cunningham permission
How I understand the ruling is they both have to agree and work together for there to be anything with adult Jason. One says NO then there's nothing.
Also Cunningham doesn't want Miller making money off of adult Jason. That's probably the main reason why I feel Friday the 13th Jason franchise is dead.

The devil will be in the details, whether or not it will be easy to cheese the camping gauge by dipping in and out of the exclusion zone. That'll depend on the gauge speed values. And of course, Bubba (and Bubba alone) will still have a chance at burning through your Endurance if he times his chainsaw correctly.
It's something that I will have to see for myself. I don't know if this was something tested on a PTB already.
Until the release of it I'll have my doubts about it.

If you get yourself off the hook, then all three other survivors can be slamming gens.
You jump off the hook, you loop the killer for another 30s or so, repeat twice more. You get three times the amount of chase points, you waste another minute of the killers time or more. You've now occupied around 3-4 minutes of the killers time instead of 2 minutes, and NONE of your team mates time. You're getting unhook points, you're getting more chase points, maybe stuns too? You're engaged for the entire game instead of just hanging for 2 minutes until you automatically die, and you leave with a decent score.

Campers camp because it benefits them, it gets them kills, plural.
If camping wastes enough time that they can't get kills, that the other 3 survivors escape, then they won't benefit from it anymore.
Yes, I understand why they camp. It's my opinion why I dislike camping (that I'm keeping to myself). I don't feel like getting in to some debate over boring game play.
Camper already waste time now standing by the hook doing nothing. They waste time chasing that one player down when the unhooking does happen. What is real going to be the different if you get yourself off the hook or someone else does? It's still going to be wasted time.

If that time wasting is significant enough, killers will camp less.

It's going to buy you some time at the very least. You've got 10 seconds to hopefully get somewhere to loop the Killer for a while, and that's way better than just immediately going to the next stage.

It will trigger OTR, so you can unhook yourself at the last second and then still have a 2 health state chase.
Also, hook smacking is the same as teabagging. You shouldn't let it get to you. I know that's easier said than done, though.
The hook smacking comment was me just being funny. T-bagging and hook smacking nodding doesn't bother me.
The only thing that bothers me is camping and 4 or 5 gens two to three matches in a row. It's makes the game boring to play as survivor and it's why I continue to take/stay on my break.
Isn't that one of the biggest arguments here on the forums running perks to counter something.
Maybe it will work, I don't know. I guess I see it as it's no different then a teammate running in and unhooking right in front of the killer. Seems good on paper, but....
The one positive I see is to keep others from giving up on first hook when they do get camped.

correct me but as far as I've heard, you can only unhook yourself in the 2th phase, meaning that the person would actually be DoH xD
The word around the campfire is you can get yourself off the hook 2 time.
Tunneled down put back on the hook until your dead.
The punishment for getting yourself off the hook the first time is getting hit over and over again nonstop with head nodding.

Maybe for now, but eventually the DEVs will remove more and more pallets from each map. Until each one has four or none.
You know to once again attempt to push killers away from camping. But in the end it won't work they'll still camp because whatever lame excuse they'll come up with to camp and tunnel.
