Damien Leone really did not care about what people thought lol, i saw Terrifier 3 in the movies and im convinced i was the only person im my theatre who wasnt disgusted by the movie
I loved the movies. I am excited that we will be getting Art as a killer. Can you imagine his powers, they will be awesome.
-
I'd love to see his mori be a glass bottle being shoved down the mouth like on the movie. All the death scenes are gory as can be. Need to match the movie on the gory scale or its not art. Push the boundaries like the director.

I played a match a little bit ago and I was running Inner Strength. So at one point when injured I stepped into a locker to heal. It was the one and only time I got into a locker the whole game. Apparently there was another survivor nearby that I hadn't seen. But shortly after I stepped into the locker I did notice a survivor that fast vaulted the window next to me twice. Of course he drew the killers attention. The moment the killer showed up this survivor started pointing at the locker I was in. I just figured it was one of "those" survivors that play to sabotage the others rather than escape.
But no…… 5 minutes or more after that match ended I got a message from this person. It was a long dissertation. But the short version was they said they get sick and tired of survivors that just want to hide instead of play the game so when they see survivors hiding they intentionally get them killed.
What an arrogant, pompous, self-aggrandizing moron. Apparently not only did this person lack the requisite brain power to realize someone can go into a locker for reasons other than to hide, but they actually view themselves as some sort of DBD police that has the right to sabotage others because they are breaking DBD law.
I swear this game has way more than it's fair share of self righteous players.
BTW, if you are one of those type of people just know this. No one else thinks you a hero. No one is applauding you for your efforts. Everyone else sees you as sad and pathetic and they would prefer to never have to play with someone like you.
I had a game as solo q with 2 sables that purposely brought the killer to me twice while working on gens. When they tried a 3rd time, I tried to hide cause jason was in the area I was waiting for him to leave so I could get back on the gen and one of the sables decided to point me out to the killer(mind you they weren't doing anything) and not only did I get hooked, I was not getting helped so I died. I went to watch those 2 Sables and they were working with the killer. They did the same thing to the other solo q person. Obviously those 2 were swfs. It's hard enough to work with others without your own team going against you.
-
I got a code for having the dead by daylight dating game and that code also said invalid. I didn't get an email for the banner code yet. Somethings not right
-
I think the game play is determined by how the jason killer plays. I've seen some Jason killers who know how to make the game interesting without spamming his OE and give enough pressure on survivors. Then I've seen some who just sit there spamming the OE constantly. Jason is a strong killer but like others have said there is countering his OE. You win some and you lose some.
-
I am one of the rare survivor's. I refuse to be toxic to my team mates or the killer even if they're toxic to me. If you as a survivor win the game and open the exit, you shouldn't be tbagging, you won, leave the game. Likewise for killers you shouldnt down a survivor and pretend you're humiliating them by "dry humping" from the back or smacking them multiple times when they're on the hook. That's just my opinion though. We get enough toxicity in end game chat or in my case my ps5 messages so I had to close down my messages to friends only.
-
I use these after I get someone off the hook when the killer is a nice distance away especially since I get off a lot of people who instantly run.
-
I wish there was a way the devs could figure out how to compromise on this.

imagine having crappy internet and getting penalized for it… my everyday life
Thing is I know it's not my internet because we just had Comcast here a couple days ago. I don't know what's going on.

So I just played my first game against Jason, killer decided to tunnel out the best player, it took him 4 and a half gens to do so, teammates refused to reset/heal so we ended up losing at the last half a gen. No big deal, I brought a hatch offering for killer's shack. Stealth my way over to the shack while my teammates are on hook, manage to make it there past Jason, get in the locker. Like, 15 seconds later the killer goes into omnipresent evil, teleports to the shack window, I scream in the locker and he opens it immediately.
Question: Is this a feature I never heard or saw during the PTB (if it is then RIP even harder to the OG stealth mechanics that make the game dynamic), is this a bug that happened between the PTB and release version that I should make a report for, or was this Jason player subtle cheating?
Would like to know if anyone else is experiencing this
I find using the perk Calm Spirit makes you not scream.

got it this morning
It sucks. Being punished for something out of our control. I get people abuse the DC but in instances like this it sucks for both killers and survivors.
-
The only big issue I see is survivors unwilling to do anything in a match because they're too scared. Not to mention once they find out it's Jason they either kill themselves on hook or disconnect. Now I say this as a survivor main. It's makes the game difficult to play when your team either refuses to play or help. I had a match last 30 minutes because of what I said above. It's almost like the game is being held hostage.
-
I got it. I had to reboot my router LOL.
-
I honestly had no idea that's awesome.

I play nice until they BM then all bets are off.

Bad news for my fellow controller players the future is looking bleak and there is nothing we can do about it we will just have to deal with the horribly optimized maps that lag our systems and fight on
We shall fight against the auto aim with our joysticks
But most of all... Just save up for a pc its not worth playing on console anymore the constant lag when particles even exist the game turns into a slideshow and we cant even adjust our settings to help with it
seriously that and no kb+m support its been years since the game has been ported to console can we just make the game at least somewhat fair on console?
Hear hear

Take a look at these survivor builds. They were done with repairing all gens in five minutes or so.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/9QJ2OXN2E7BT/are-you-kidding-me.png
It's abundantly clear that survivors still have access to gamebreaking builds which invalidate any hope the killer could have at fullfilling his own objective. Now stack these odds with an extremely survivor sided map (Ormond) and voice comms/SWF and the game becomes entirely unwinnable.
For all of them to have same add ons tells me it was a SWF. I have never seen solo survivors all bring same add ons.
-
Unfortunately I haven't had the privilege to yet. But I'm also a red rank 4 so probably will never get the chance.

Trappers best chances to win a game is the getting someone into the basement. Agitation is my must have on him.
Buffs for him? Yes, give him more traps from the start, let them spawn closer to the Center of the map and remove the ability to get out of a trap in your first try (so basically do the Pig-RNG-Thing for him).
Yes this!!!!!!

When I started playing oh a couple of years ago now the main goal of survivors was to repair generators, unhook survivors as needed and escape the match.
Apparently that has changed to hiding in lockers and waiting for the others to do the stuff I listed above? Kind of hard to do when the other three survivors are all hiding in lockers and your the only one doing anything.
Couple of questions on that for those who play each match hiding in the lockers. First what if all 4 of you are hiding in lockers? Next do you just wait for the killer to find the others and hope your the last one and you manage to get the hatch or the exit gate open if the killer finds the hatch first? Final question. How does that work out for you?
Been happening a lot tonight. Maybe even in more matches than not.
Honestly I have only noticed it more since the Halloween Event that is going on. When the events done it will go back to normal. I have seen survivors too afraid to leave their generators or heal others or pull people off the hook. During this event if a survivor gets hit they lose their rift points making them paranoid to do anything. It's not an excuse but seems like it's happening more thanks to the event.
-
I main survivor. 90% of my gameplay is survivor based. I like playing killer but it's really frustrating. Huge Kate Main. Love Kate ❤️😍💖

Can someone explain to me how Spine Chill actually works? I get the concept but I thought it only told you if the killer was looking your direction.

Some maps can have widely different RNG.
Coal Tower could spawn awful tiles and be super Killer-sided or it could spawn Jungle Gyms and Ormond Gyms that loop through the whole map.
There has to be a way for this game to be analyzed thoroughly though. Unless BHVR doesn't really care about balance. I could be wrong though. Just a thought.
-
@Pulsar said:
Depends on the map.
The players.
The individual map RNG.
The items and add-ons allowed for Killers/Survivors.
The Offerings allowed.
The MMR level they play at.
Also, the general balance sort of goes like this.
Comp-Level Matches:
Survivor-sided against Killers except the top tier one's where it becomes either even or less Survivor-sided.
This is because there are generally restrictions placed on both sides.
Highest-Level Public Matches:
Survivor-sided against all but the best Killers.
No restrictions or limitations placed on either side. Generally defaults to whoever has the better add-ons/items wins but it is generally Survivor-sided.
High-Level Public Matches:
Even. Players are just good, but they aren't sweating for the 4K or for the 4E.
There's a fair variety of Killers and they probably aren't using the strongest add-ons.
Average-Level Public Matches:
Even or slightly Killer-sided.
Here's where you find a lot of gen regression perk stacking and Survivors unable to keep up. Not everyone plays like that though.
Low-Level Public Matches:
Very Killer-sided.
No add ons or perks or offerings allowed on both survivors and killers. And map do each map. Just as a little test.

So I've been watching all the popular DBD Streamer killers like Otz and Tru3ta1ent and Spooknjukes. I was watching the all killers challenge with no add ons and perks. Wouldn't it be more accurate if you had all the survivors perkless for the challenge as well? I think it would show which side actually has the advantage that many on here argue about. Would like opinions.
Also to do the SWF vs Solo. Make it to where the group of solo can't use communication like discord and the SWF team with discord. I think doing all these would show more accurate results.

They really need to stop chains attacking you whilst opening the box, I was halfway through opening it and I got interrupted by one and I find it impossible to open? Is this a bug or just another way to unbalance the game for survivors?
All you have to do is get a fellow teammate to take the chain hits in front of you while you solve the box. Seen it happen in a lot of my games. It's quite successful if done right. Problem is trying to communicate with your teammates to do it.

Don't mean to brag but I didn't find this challenge difficult and did it on my first attempt.
I used Windows and Head On and followed the killer trying to get his attention. I did 3 pallet stuns and 2 head ons in the game but only got Void Energy twice. This was after the killer got another survivor down and hooked them.
Personally I love challenges like this.
I used Jill's Blast Mine on Generators and Leon's FlashBang to get it done.

I'd probably say
Nemesis and Hag's
Nemesis it's more I get hit somehow and if the zombies count as part of his power then yes his zombies are also a problem they force me away a lot and constantly keep coming back to me even if I'm in a locker
Hag on the other hand her ability is fine I just hate when my team runs to me on hook when she's placed traps because I already know their going to be grabbed
I would say Nurse and Wraith but for Wraith I just can't figure out how to counter him and Nurse it's more just hit validation
Most people should know already if they have a flashlight to shine it on the hags traps or crawl over it.
-
Doctors shock therapy and Pinheads chains...can't decide which I hate more.

What sucks is we were winning. We had one generator to go.

Just use a flashlight and blind the zombies if they come to your generator. Well if you have one.

I take it to get the killer weapons you have to play killer? I want the plagues weapon. Looks so neat.

thanks for coming to my ted talk. :)
I can't agree with this for one reason. If you need to be penalized for up to 30 minutes that's DCing way too much to accumulate that. I do not think DCing is good for any reason. Well except for legit internet issues but even then I have never heard of someone getting so much bad internet issues that they are up to 30 minutes. If they allow DC whenever the game will be even more unplayable as more people will refuse to play. That's just my opinion though.

Literally. The last four killers they’ve released have just become super unfun to play against. I think BHVR has spent too much time focusing on ways to make killer more easy & enjoyable, (to sell more killer DLC), and not enough on how survivors are to enjoy countering said killer. The Pinhead, Artist, Wesker, Legion, Plague and many others are just so incredibly unfun to play against. I think BHVR needs to really put some thought and effort into making survivor SOMEWHAT enjoyable again. Leave skill out of the equation and just look at basic abilities of killers and survivors. DC’ing really is the only option to save ourselves from getting pissed off and frustrated over a video game we once enjoyed.
Pinhead is only hard to go against because of the stupid chains from the box. The only way to counter those is have one person taking the chain hits while 2nd solves the puzzle box. It works rather efficiently if done right. However with that said I don't see a lot of people doing this and can't communicate with fellow survivors about it.
-
This is why I don't post pictures often. I do not know how to hide the names especially on my phone.

Shelter Woods: Super open with a complete dead zone in the middle. The map normally has like 5 pallets and is all-around a bad time unless you get good RNG.
Azarovs: It's basically designed for killers to play defensively by picking a side from the start. If you're lucky you'll get 4 gens on one side and you can just sit back and wait as they have to come to you. It normally takes a coordinated team to win on the map unless the killer just doesn't care for that strategy.
I think Azrov is a strong map for Trapper. So dark and hard to see the traps lol.

Best advice: don't.
I'm kidding.
Probably the only thing to really worry about is chases (what with your 4.4m/s speed and slower speed when throwing and during main event) and aiming. His recoil and blade arcs take some practice, so expect to miss maybe half your throws for now. But don't worry, you'll get better and in time you'll be able to hit maybe 80% of your throws. 😄
I'm expecting to miss a lot lol. I will be the easiest killer for survivors to go against. Usually I don't play killer but Tricksters kinda hot lol.
-
Amusement Park!!!! This game needs an amusement park map. I'd be happy to be slaughtered in one. Just kill me right next to a Rollercoaster 🎢 or ferris wheel.😁😁😁

Thanks.

Backwater swamp. Most of the generators can be seen from the tall building where killers can see almost all generators. Too open.

@ohheyitsbobcat said:
Yup, it's a typical host error. The killer probably didn't get disconnected though as I believe that's just a bug. I've been in 2-mans where I got host disconnected, it said me and the killer DC'd but my friend and the killer were still playing just fine.
I usually reset my system and it seems to help though recently, I've only been getting host errors when I played Demo and the 3rd or 4th gen would pop, kicking me. Weird stuff.
Are you sure cause according to the person's post above you it's a skill issue lol

Wiggling giving you more points than a hatch?
When I don't struggle they hook me next to hatch anyways. You have the mindset every killer gives hatch when in actuality from what I have seen they don't.
-
Ok so let me get this straight. Don't struggle even though it rewards points and let the killer get an easy kill. Got it. Next time I just won't try.
-
@Grigerbest said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/3238108#Comment_3238108
Yes?
I mean, to be fair, whats the point of struggling, if you the last survivor and there is a hook near by?
This is how I do it, If I want to give the last survivor a hatch (for any reason), I down them, picking up, and if they struggle, I hook them instead, if they don't, I'm going for the hatch.
It's kinda irritating, when you trying to carry a survivor to a hatch, and they keep wiggling even if they see you're going past the hooks.
So if they wiggle - hook them.
To OP:
- Killer was not sure if they can carry you safely to the hook.
- Killer was angered by you or your teammates, and decided to "punish you" like that.
Uh cause you get points for struggling.

If a killer slugs/carries & drops you near an available hook it’s entirely to flex and bully you. It’s that player saying “yeah I control your ability to play.” There’s no strategic reason for it whatsoever.
But fret naught. There’s an update coming that’s gonna fix that right up. Soon enough, you won’t hafta worry about being slugged again. No survivor will. :)
What gets me is I never BM a killer cause when I did try killer I didn't like the BM so I don't do it yet I get more and more killers who are BM. I get it you're at top of the food chain so to say why be mean.
