I've also wondered if he could have some sort of quick map mobility by turning into sand. Do you guys remember how, whenever he got scared of the cat, he'd turn into sand and bolt out of the room? And then when he kidnapped Evie, he was a big sand storm and even his face appeared in the sand as he was fighting Winston's airplane.
There's so much that could be done with Imhotep as a Killer. His power, his mori, his perks, even his skins. I'd love to see a skeletal skin (like the way he looked after the took the eyes and tongue of that first guy), a semi-regenerated version of him (like when the scarab crawled out of his cheek and back in and he ate it. Or even a different semi-regenerated version like when he sucked the guy dry who had the Book of the Dead in the street), and a fully regenerated skin.
If BHVR could get the likenesses and have Brendan Fraser and Arnold Vosloo voice their characters, that would be my favorite chapter they've ever done.
On the fearing the cat note, that could somehow be related to one of Evie's perks. And the art of the perk's emblem could be the cat's hissing face. And now that I'm thinking about it, Evie's perks could likely involve some sort of incantation (since she was the librarian always reading the ancient texts), and Rick's definitely should be the adventurous, gung ho type. I wouldn't mind doing something to earn a way to shoot at a Killer to slow them down a bit lol (And yes, that obviously couldn't be overpowered or used too frequently. Would have to be really well thought out).
Man, I'm gonna miss the forums. It's so much fun fleshing these ideas out with the community.
ideas like this make me tear up at the thought of this place shutting down😕

I think BHVR are just adding licensed Killers or "safe" original Killers that the Survivor player base at least tolerates going up against. They don't want a repeat of the Legion incident.
Outside of a few remaining Killers (and maybe some future Killers not yet in the game), I think we've seen every Killer they could reasonably add without getting push back from the section of the player base that likes to complain about every little thing.
If you look at the pattern so far, licensed killers (or Killers with licensed skins that they can theme an event around) have more chance than unlicensed ones, because they make BHVR and their partners more money. So we'll probably see Stranger Things and D&D at some point, I would think. Maybe Jason and Springtrap, too. Unknown will probably be added as well. Not sure if Artist is popular enough but I think there's a chance. But I don't see any others they could add without complaints.
I think Demo has a good chance

I myself play always random (if not doing adept) so I for example even recently played a match where I only had thrill without any other hex perk. I do it manually so I chose to make the matches more difficult with it. Would not mind automatic way to do it in the game itself. Love Chaos Shuffle as that just makes others play lime me so even playing ground :P
Chaos Shuffle is actually what got me into dbd lol

i think for those of us that supported it when it was tested, we tried to convey that it IS great, but only fair if Cages don't notify else it will be abused. BHVR preferred to not go through with it, and i get it.
I think, with Judgment here now, it's worth revisiting.
I agree, honestly i think her arrival changed a lot of peoples aspects on different killers. mostly PH

perhaps, but it would make him an interesting half-stealth Killer and adds so much more strategic utility to his Trails, which right now are pretty meh and mostly used for tunneling or mini-mori.
i'm in favor of more interesting kits.
i do feel like Torment on M2 hit would be a great idea. Makes him feel more rewarding.

they should let executioner's cage closest to the killer just like judgement for easier tunnel, also an aura-reading add-on just like judgement's so you see everyone else after caging. LMAO

@nikodemo said:
He's definitely being left behind as power creeps up.
Can we please fix his targeting when the blade is in the ground? It feels absolutely awful to use and aim.
Iri Seal of Metatron: Eventually, I can't place more trails until they disappear. This should also make me Undetectable when walking on my trails for a little more strategic use.
Or hell, honestly, make it basekit because it's cool and unique.
In such a case, Iri Seal could apply torment to survs hit with Punishment. Drawback: Cages no longer notify you when uncaged to prevent tunneling.
Thank you for your consideration.
IRI SEAL BASEKIT? that would make him a bit too strong lol, veteran PH players would use that change to make him look extremely unhealthy, almost as bad as when he could insta M1 after canceling his M2

One message, sure. Two, I guess. But everything after that is unnecessary.
I get it, there is a new feature in-game that lets you explore a Killer's power with a short video alongside it. Don't get me wrong, I think it's very neat. I'm happy it's in the game now. It does a lot to augment the Tutorial. It's a great QOL feature for new players.
BUT PLEASE
I don't need to have the exact same message in my inbox after losing against every single Killer. Especially because they take forever to go away.
After I lose like 3 games against 3 killers, I get the point. Please stop flooding my inbox, I beg you 😥.i hate these as well because i keep getting excited to see if i got a gift or something

If you see the unhooked person and the unhooker got elusive from that it encourages to tunnel too. Good point
yeah it kinda does because if you cant find the guy who unhooked, of course your gonna go for the injured person who was just unhooked and has a shorter elusive time

Self-Preservation: Whenever another Survivor is hooked, you gain Elusive for 30 s.
I don’t really know how this is a healthy perk for DBD. It hides you for 30 s when someone else gets hooked so it doesn’t fight against tunneling or camping.
The experiences as Survivor and Killer I had with Self-Preservation opened my eyes: It’s really unhealthy for the game.
Survivor Exp: I was in chaos shuffle against a ghoul on Iri of crows. Because the ghoul played well, he never found me because he got hook after hook and I was 70% of the match Elusive and got out by hatch. After the match I saw that the ghoul got BBQ and it basically Self-Preservation made me immune to it, so the entire game was for me doing 2,5 gens in the distance and then hatch, no chase wich is the fun part of this game … a boring experience.
Killer Exp: I played ghoul on Lerys and used Friends till the end, I downed someone who wasn’t the obsession and hooked him/her. I didn’t saw my obsession, the entire game, on no hook, my perk was useless. After the game was over I saw that my obsession had Self-Preservation.And this two examples show what Self-Preservation counters: Hook=Information … mainly BBQ, Friends till the end and Alien instinct (except the oblivious part). But what this perks have in common: They are healthy for the game.
Why? Because they give you survivors auras when you hook someone, wich is there to lead the killer away form the hook to chase someone else, and Self-Preservation spits on that.
If I don’t see auras from bbq on a hook that must mean all survivors are nearby and I have to stay closer to the hook right? Thats one of the bad effects Self-Preservation can have.
Another bad effect is that killers not using this perk slots for the mentioned perks and go back and put in more slowdown since slowdown is the most reliable killer perk type at the moment.
It’s also a soft counter against Pain res, No way out and Dark embrace since it hides you for so long and might prevent the killer of finding you. And these perks encourage to 4 hook wich would be healthy for the game.
Self-Preservation also plays into the hand of survivors who play this „I let my team die and hatch escape with key“ playstyle since it hides them from the mentioned aura perks and makes them 30 s extremely stealthy again again and again while their team dies (also left behind and sole survivor are stupid because of this too).
In general I hate the idea of elusive (elusive on unhook is fine though). Aura perks just show killer directions to go and counter stealthy survivors, but if we get more and more elusive perks, killer won’t pick aura perks because of that and bring more gen slowdown.
In conclusion this perk only counters directly healthy perks (bbq ect) and supports a stealthy playstyle …
I don’t see how this perk is healthy for DBD.
In my opinion they just should revert is to what is was (with elusive because that’s what is basically was): If a survivor gets hit nearby you get elusive. Because it hides you and encourages the killer to pick up the downed survivor instead of slugging and going after you. I know I said I hate elusive, but ist fine in specific scenarios an unhook or this here because in them it fight against slugging and tunneling.
this can be quite nasty when unhooking with it as well, why? NO SCRATCH MARKS. you will just be standing there at the hook wondereing how tf this guy got unhooked when you didint see anyone. and you cant track them down either due to no scratch marks from both

@HoodedWildKard said:
No I'm not complaining about tunneling in general, i tend to be understanding of the concept. The thing I have an issue with is the worst kind of tunneling. Standard tunneling is whatever, if you find a double hooked surv and a no hook surv on a gen, you have a choice and the double hooked surv is the tactical choice every time. I'm talking about hard repeatedly tunneling the same surv off hook to the exclusion of all others straight off the bat. Heck I'm not even that fussed about tunneling straight off hook if it's done mid-late game.
It's this situation. Killer gets their first hook after a realtively short chase, realises that surv is mid/weak at chase. Killer then proxy camps said hook, maybe they manage to force the surv to stage, then as soon as the surv is unhooked, they hit them off hook and commit to the exclusively chase them again down them quickly rinse repeat. You get one survivor dead at 4-5 gens left. That one survivor has no chance to play the game, and the rest of the team is screwed because the game is not supposed to be a 3v1. We've all had games like that.
There has to be a system where the game can recognise that the killer is focusing out one player to the exclusion of all others. In the specific situation where you have 2 hooks on the same player, 0 hooks on anyone else and they are chasing the 2 hooked player there should be some kind of game intervention. Something that stops this kind of play dead. Peehsps a system where the surv on taking the second hit straight off of hook gets teleported to thebopposite side of the map and insta hesled or just invincibility or invisibility that gets cancelled if the killer hooks another player or if a survivor struggles out (obvs I wouldn't want to see survs abusing a mechanic like this for free bodyblocks) this would give the tunneled surv an opportunity to get out of the killer's sight and have a chance to heal and actually try to counter play by going stealthy so they can still achieve something in the match.
Normally it's fairly rare but I've seen an uptick in this kind of play from killers over the last couple of weeks, probably killers getting tilted by black banquet, and an awful lot of jasons too. I'm sure some people will simply call skill issue over this, but this type of tunneling is immensely easy for killers to do and very difficult for all but the best survivor teams to effectively prevent. By the time you realise how hard killer is committing to this it's usually too late to simply genrush. And it literally tanks the game, one surv gets next to no bp and is dead within minutes of the game starting. And the rest of the team is screwed unless there is a wild skill gap between killer and the 3 remaining survivors and they just so happened to demonise the 1 weak surv in a group.
got hard tunneled by a springtrap yesterday so i came to read this thread😓

She may be fun to play, but she's miserable to go against. I bet those long ranged snipes feel good. But dodging them? Boring, oppressive, and repetitive.
Oppressive? i dont really understand how they can be. her snipes are quite easy to dodge and they have a decent enough cooldown. i do agree with the boring part at the least

The major problem with The Judgment is specifically being. Able to protect Hex's and snipe gens(which in most cases isn't bad it just hative seen that been a bit of complaint.)
If your paying attention you won't get hit, but the problem with it is it makes progress really hellish.
The problem with Judgement wasn't the projectile itself but more along the lines of how often they can fire off their projectile. So giving the visual alert won't really help the MAIN problem with that style.
Ah i see, i havent the ability to play or go against her yet so.

it is without a doubt that springtrap's doors are a bit gameplay lacking especially because of the lack of meaningful interaction that can be done on the survivor side so i tought these 2 change can up springtrap's door gameplay on both side
- move the cam into inside of the office, it makes the jumpscare mechanic actually useful and entering the door actually means something and make with the exiting the doors the actual system we have right now making the map traversal useful
- give 10% hindered on aura reveal with the cameras, this would not only be reminiscent of the camera stall mechanic in the actual fnaf games but, this would make the use of the camera actually meaningful because it could help to bail out your teammates from chase subsequently it would make throwing the axe to the doors useful to counter act the reveal
with bith of those changes it would mwke springtrap way more interactive and his kit could be used at 100% of its capacity
im kinda confused as to why people think he needs to be changed. He seems fine just so many people undermine his strength

First of all, that silent bell addon has to go, it's way OP, and secondly, being invisible with no TR is such a crazy power, if he's gonna be invincible he should atleast still have a TR. You can't HONESTLY expect me to play your game while talking to chat like this.
