I have one I don't think has been mentioned yet - if you like resource management survival games The Alters is really good and thought provoking choice with consequence decision making
well I mean resident evil is my favorite game franchise of all time so I’d say yeah. I’m also pretty excited for the new game coming out this month as well so I might play that but currently I’m having a lot of fun playing BG3 just because I love playing DND.

I want to love them, when they were announced it was my most wanted license and I was so happy but then we got them and….idk they just felt very basic. I was disappointed and kinda shocked there were no facehuggers anywhere in the power and I felt Xeno was kinda devoid of identity. A huge part of Alien is evolution and it being the pinnacle lifeform in the universe but the Xeno we got is someone taught it tail whip and it's weak the fire soooo we got a pokemon and not a particularly good one. People make comparisons to Nemesis and I actually would have been fine with that if we took the different stages/power up part of his power and not the whip.
trust me I know the feeling I am currently at the edge of my seat waiting for Art the clown but a part of me just has a feeling that they’re just gonna be another ranged killer with a stealth mobility power because that is all that we’ve been getting recently when it comes to licenses so I’m afraid for my boy but at the same time I’m waiting for him patiently to be hopefully proven wrong.

Sorry for the very long post. I'm a bit too passionate about Alien, so bear with me.
I genuinely think Xenomorph is one of the best adaptations in DbD.
The Tail is simple but efficient. The real power is the tunnels. They aren't just teleports, they are a second map where Xeno can move, listen, predict rotations and intercept Survivors. It is basically the Alien: Isolation dynamic translated into DbD.
Turrets complete the design faithfully. Survivors deploy detection systems around the map and use fire to repel the Alien. Everything feeds into everything. It doesn't just sprinkle Alien references everywhere, it creates an actual Alien dynamic.
Xeno has problems, of course. Tunnel placement can suck, some maps have huge dead zones, several add-ons are terrible and the game barely teaches you how much you can actually do with the tunnels. The Tail is so immediately effective that many players barely scratch the surface of the macro available and focus on flashy Tail hits.
And there are also some complaints that are, frankly, skill issues:
"I am an M1 all game." This should basically never happen outside of double Turret setups. Get into your tunnels instead of walking around. Crawler Mode comes back in less than 5 seconds underground, so you should be able to retaliate faster than Survivors can place double Turrets. Getting burned out of Crawler Mode by a single Turret should be very rare, not the norm. With 125 charges on Crawler Mode and a Turret burning 66 charges/s, you have almost 1.89 seconds to turn around and Tail Strike the Turret. I actually think Helmet and Star Map are traps since single Turrets are usually not enough, while double Turrets will almost always knock you out of Crawler Mode anyway.
"Turrets invalidate stealth." Not really. If you approach through tunnels, Survivors usually don't react until the beeping becomes threatening. You're moving at 18 m/s underground and can already be emerging by the time they start running. As for normal stealth, yes, Turrets counter it under certain conditions. That's the point. Motion trackers are iconic to Alien, Aliens and Alien: Isolation. Survivors detecting the Alien is as much a part of the franchise as the Alien stalking them. And since a Turret needs to be near the Survivor to provide useful information, it doesn't invalidate stealth everywhere all the time anyway. More importantly, Xeno has its own form of stealth with the tunnels.
"Turrets should be deleted, the Tail isn't strong enough to warrant them." Turrets aren't just a balancing tax for Crawler Mode. They're part of the adaptation. That's why Springtrap has cameras while Jason doesn't have some random mechanic stapled onto him. And Crawler Mode is pretty damn strong anyway.
I don't want Xeno reworked. I want the existing power improved.
More Control Stations would be the single best change. Less RNG, more mobility, more stealth, more cut-offs, more ambush opportunities and more ways to approach Turrets intelligently. It strengthens basically everything interesting about the Alien: Isolation formula without replacing it. People who played A:I will remember how vents were everywhere, meaning the Alien could ambush you at any time. In DbD, there are too few stations, heavily restricting that potential. I understand limiting this kind of mobility for other Killers, but Xeno should have more focus on this aspect of its power. It should be closer to Dredge in that regard, so it "could be anywhere."
Double Turrets should probably be prevented altogether. Turrets should reward good coverage and distance, not stacking two together to almost guarantee a power loss.
Turrets should also be a more precious resource. Right now you effectively cannot deplete them with 7 stations, 4 Turrets per station, each with its own regeneration. There is barely a resource economy to manage.
Then we could give Xeno some QoL like faster tunnel exits, a slight Haste effect like Sadako, an add-on pass and a very short lingering stealth effect when exiting a station.
Add-ons should also reinforce the correct gameplay loop. Harpoon Gun and Acidic Blood are good designs in principle, even if their actual effects aren't necessarily good (Harpoon is OP though), because going back into your tunnels lets you reset them. Ovomorph is the exact opposite, it's a terrible add-on because it rewards staying above ground and teaches new players bad habits. Too many Xeno players already ignore the tunnels or use them two or three times per match.
It's perfectly fine not to enjoy playing such a unique Killer. Xeno is the only Killer in the game with both a counterpower like Turrets and an entire secondary map like the tunnels. I understand why some people prefer simpler Killers: a teleport "from A to B" where you can't get lost in it (heard someone say that...), a ranged attack or dash with no counter mechanic at all, traditional stealth, etc. I also understand those who are disappointed because this isn't the version of the Alien they wanted. I personally understand the Facehugger crowd more, wall crawling does exists throughout Alien media, but it's AvP that heavily emphasized that fantasy.
I think calling it unfaithful is just dishonest. Xenomorph is incredibly unique while being extremely accurate to its source material. From the gameplay loop and even the lobby animation, I'm pretty sure Alien: Isolation was the main inspiration for the power, while most of the visuals, sounds and references come directly from the original Alien. It isn't an unfaithful adaptation. It's a very specific interpretation of the Alien, and you may simply not like that interpretation.
At the end of the day, the dynamic of "very strong Killer in chase and Survivor tools designed to slow it down" was always going to be divisive (and unique). I understand why some people simply don't enjoy it.
But in terms of franchise coherence and thematics? It's immaculate.
honestly, I don’t mind the post being as long as it is like I am very passionate about some killers like skull merchant, freddy, and recently judgment. I own Xenomorph I just never play them because they just don’t seem that interesting to play as, but I guess since they’re coming to 2v8 today you might have convinced me to give them a shot.

The skill ceiling for judgement is certainly high. But I wouldn't say she's unplayable for most players.
She has a LOT of addons that affect how her beam works and makes it easier to hit. The best one for players struggling with her is the brown prayer mat addon. It means that while you're doing the initial charge/aim stage, the beam will stop moving entirely if it hits a high wall of obstacle, making it much easier to aim, very help for counter looping, guide it to a wall behind you, turn around and you have a pretty accurate shot. Over half her addons affect the beam in some way. The iri mirror lets you ping pong it around, really dangerous in indoor spaces, there are two addons that let you pull the beam back to yourself. There's a lot of options to tweak her power to fit favoured play styles.
I picked her up day 1 and have been playing her a fair bit, despite the fact I'm playing controller on console I've been doing pretty well with her.
I play on controller and close range flicks are the most fun part about playing this killer for me.

Simular to trickster, xeno but she is way harder i would bet she will be number 1 hardest killer for people using controller.

Moonlight Peaks: Stardew Valley for goths.
Thank You For Your Application: Papers, Please is just like it.Spirit City: Lofi Sessions: Productivity game where you can collect pets and listen to cute music.

Well for tactical rpg theres "Baldurs gate 3" which you've likely tried alredy or heard of,
for a stealth/shooter rpg theres "Blood West",
for side scrolling action rpg im currently playing "Dragon : marked for death", and another good side scrolling action rpg is "Absolum" which came out more recently.
I'd asume you've alredy played skyrim / fallout / mass effect. If you like dark souls style games my favorite of those are "Nioh 2", and "Code Vein".
If you like open world survival + pokemon theres "Palworld" that allot of people are into these days, another creature collection shooter called "Voidling bound". "Conan Exiles" is a good open world survival rpg (i even played the whole thing in coop mode). And one much like conan but pirate themed is called "Windrose"
Lastly this ones old but gold, a first/3rd person class based vampire rpg, called "Vampire Masquerade: Bloodlines". Which i would recommend the "good old games.com" version due to them alredy adding all the patches to the game themselves to have it work on stuff like windows 11.
Ive heard of bg3. It’s basically just DND right? Because if that is case I would definitely love it especially if it means recreating the greatest character from one of the old campaigns I was a part of who’s literally just the Green Goblin from Spider-Man

Someone suggested before that he should have a weapon wheel to select different weapons (similar to how The Lich chooses spells). That seems fitting to his character
that I do think would be cool, but also hear me out… what if you had a style meter like trickster where he was rewarded for his brutality like obviously for hooking and and injuring, but also for letting people go so that he can cause as much pain as possible. Honestly, I think it’d fit him really and I guess when he gets his S rank of sorts is active he can then pull out his gun as a reward. Maybe not exactly like this, but I do think that he should have some sort of mechanic he’s rewarded for being the monster he is.

I feel like he will be a combination of a stealth killer and have a system similar to Liches spell casting, I haven't watched the movies personally BUT I am sure he will not be a dash/ranged killer (like maybe some ranged attack as part of his power).
If he did have a ranged attack it would he’d probably have the blow torch from the dream sequence in part two either that or they can make this the first killer to have an actual gun

Absolutely. They've clearly learnt how to make a more diverse set of addons per Killer over the past few releases, but it would be very nice if they could go back and modernise the Killers whose addons are very outdated like Wraith and Oni, while reworking those like Vecna 1 and Krasue, whose addons are either entirely cosmetic or focussed on the wrong part of their power. They also really should do something to shake up the meta of item addons because I only see the same ones with no variety. And finally they need to redress some addon effects in the era of 'diminishing returns' (remember that balance update you promised BHVR?).
yeah I’m gonna be honest. I think they just kinda forgot lol.

I can throw my two-cents into this.
I don't know how you like to play Twins, but i use an odd build that's built moreso for chasing more as Charlotte and saving the down on Victor.
The Loadout consists of: Thanatophobia. Agitation. Brutal Strength. Eruption.
You can change out Agi for another perk, but i've been getting alotta sabo's lately, it's mainly good if you can primarily chase as a m1 and get the first hit that way.
Mainly it's a aggressive build that forces survivors to be more hand-holdy type than to be effective on gens, hope this helps buddy. <3
Edit: Spelling mistakes.
2nd Edit: Also addon-wise, i use the cloak to wake up .5 seconds quicker and the toy sword, Haven't changed those out in a long time and it's still holding up.I’m a P 100 skull merchant player. The fact that I like twins is the least of my issues. I’m still waiting for a rework that’s probably never gonna happen lol. But honestly, really appreciate the help though. I’ll definitely give the build a shot.

Twins i usualy find fun to use, but also requires patience as every time you miss with victor, its like giving the survivors a new way to bully you (kicking victor). But hes also very versatile strategically since he can be placed as a defensive detector. Barely anyone thinks to crouch up to victor to avoid detection. And you are 1 button press away from transfering to him.
Plague i find rather difficult to get into as the spray projectile may seem easy to hit with but its really not when people are decent at dodging it. And since you will rarely get to use the red puke each round, you are mostly playing m1 trapless trapper but everyones got 1 health state (they often avoid using fountains). I tend to often have a miserable time playing her despite continuing to try as i really liked her cat cosmetic.
Demogorgon is certainly power crept these days by other dash killers. Whenever i see a successful demo its because they bring a full totem meta since hes good at defending totems (portals can be placed as detectors next to objects and take too long to close). His shred seems to have some instant activation technique i can't quite figure out even tho everyone else seems to just fine. Maybe its a buffer thing where you just press the 2 buttons and it releases the milisecond it can.
Guess I can give Twins a shot. The idea of playing 2 Killers at once dose sound pretty interesting.

As i managed to get over 46 prestiges on Shane (currently 1450 cakes) while still spreading cakes to other characters i play like The First, Krasue, Rick, Michonne, and now Hudson. So it would've been possible to go from 1-100 in this event alone i think.
I wish i could have earned more cakes for Trevor/Rebecca/Dracula/Xeno but they are at p100 which makes reaching even 100 cakes quite the struggle.
somehow despite me getting P100 on Skull Merchant during the event most of my cakes are on Trapper and Orela

I like to use chucky's iri medallion whith stealth builds, pretty comfortable to use as a stealth/ambush killer and use the dashes to end chases faster if they give you an opening. One of my top 3 highest kill rate killers that i actualy use often.
Alright, guess I’m doing Chucky I guess since the only other dash killer I play is Krasue. That and I just love the child’s play/chucky franchise.

Instead of actually fixing the bug they in reality increased the vertical anti-camp range by about triple its previous value for her power both up and down so this bug wasn't actually fixed but instead they masked over it with the anti-camp. I don't know how we are STILL nerfing Skull Merchant but its impressive and a bit sad. Oh yeah and they added invisible ceilings to a couple of places where drones had good/sneaky sight lines, so those drone placements no longer exist.

Shane was not a midchapter. Usually, the midchapter drops alongside a new rift. The upcoming rift will drop with the third hotfix.
The next PTB might be on August 4th since the Grimore chapter will be released on August 25th.
It's just a big disappointment that the devs decided to balance stuff in midchapters only and then just cancel the very next one. It's been also around six months since we got the killer survey - up until now, no announcement from the devs what their conclusion or decision based on the survey will be. Over a year ago (March 2025) we gave them our feedback about Artist's addons and nothing has happened since then. It would be nice to see an update from them just to know they didn't waste our time.
I Hope so as well but I don’t think that should the end of it. I think if they are really no longer doing balance changes for major DLC drops the balance changes should be larger to compensate. Just look back at our most recent mid-chapter the biggest things there were diminishing returns and the Blight nerfs, and rest were just the most insignificant and stale numbers adjustments for some of the mid to low tier characters.

PTB for Chorus of Sin should be somewhere early August.
But yeah, it's strange that there seems to be no mid-chapter patch between Jason and Chorus of Sin.it’s possible that Shane was the mid-Chapter since he released separately from Jason but if that was the case, there should’ve been some balance changes since they aren’t doing that anymore for major content releases for some reason. And if he was a mid chapter, why was there no PTB for him and why were his perks just slapped into the Jason PTB.

Often on the internet I see demand of franchises/characters such as Chainsawman, Hatsune Miku or more anime show characters to be implemented into the fog.
Look, I am all for creative ways to include new characters into DBD, but I personally just don't think those franchises belong in the fog. I hope we get characters that actually fit the theme of horror.
I understand we have Kaneki, which to me is the only exception because I can justify him being scary with his Kagune, and his lore in the fog makes sense somewhat.
I just really don't want BHVR to put out skins and characters just for the sake of being cool, and then lose their horror element.i’m fine with anime being DBD just as long as it fits the tone of the game that’s why I don’t really have too much of a problem, Tokyo ghoul being in it and why have strongly advocated for characters like Dio and Kira from JoJos bizarre adventure, and now Alucard now that I finally started watching Hellsing and oh my why didn’t I watch this sooner. But but yeah I’m fine with anime in DBD just as long as it’s not a massive tonal shift for the game.

Why not give him the ability to remotely reset a trap with the cost of it taking slightly longer than setting it normally so that he has a proper anti-loop tool for chases. Maybe something like the entity slowly prying open the jaws of a bear trap along with sound queue so that a survivor knows when it’s happening so it’s not completely uncountable. I think it’d be a fun way to sort of integrate iridescent stone into his base-kit
@Angy_Quentin said:
Let's sort your ideas.
Making shift wrap basekit is a nice idea. I think half of the trapper bag addon value would be sufficient, three traps at a time seem more than enough.
I like the idea of allowing him to collect his farthest trap from a locker. That allows him to use his power effectively, even if he decides to defend an area close to his spawn point.
I think your idea regarding the rework of his trap placement mechanic is not thought through. His trap placement is extremely delicate and sometimes it's hard work to set a trap exactly where it effectively blocks a window for fast and slow vaults for example. Increasing the hitbox of traps is also a dangerous game, because it could allow for locking down areas between close tiles that are not intended and healthy.
All in all i like your first two ideas and would like to add a huge QOL improvement. Remove the ink addons and allow trapper to decide a color intensity for his traps at the start of the trial. That way he can have very light traps on eyrie and very dark traps on gideon.

I find the little radar hard to understand or whats causing it to pop up because i dont recall her power saying why her radar shows people sometimes and not always and i couldnt tell if my drones were accomplishing anything when using her
- I like placing them and typically high traffic areas that chain together or high priority loops that are near generators. One of my favorite drone placements is on the table in dead dawg saloon since it can scan both the bottom and second floor in the main building, and ramp in the main building of Ormond Lake mine for the exact same reason.
- Keep in mind that your drones similar to Trickster knives and Deathslinger’s gun can actually scan through small gaps. The only difference is that merchant can do it a bit more consistently since her drone doesn’t follow the same logic as a projectile.
- Since skull merchant has had her stealth moved from deploying a drone to recalling a drone this now means that skull merchant has a lot more control on whether or not she wants to be undetectable at that time. This means now if she wants to mind game people with stealth chicken instead just recall a drone and gain undetectable that way instead of having a very obvious tell by placing a drone in the survivor seeing the big orange ring around it, knowing that she’s stealthy.
- don’t just set and forget about your drones using your radar to change which direction your drone is rotating in is pivotal to playing this killer properly. A very simple way of thinking about it is imagine you’re chasing a survivor around a T&L wall they’re about to get scanned by your drone when all of a sudden they crouch and as they’re about to get back up, you rotate the drone immediately back into them so that they get a scan and possibly a claw trap if you’re keeping track of how many times you’ve scanned them. That and skull merchant gets a 5% speed boost after scanning a survivor with a recently rotated drone or a recently placed a drone. This can also compound on top of the 12% hinder at base kit from scanning a claw trapped survivor.
- survivors do not get scanned if they are crouching, doing an objective, or standing still. This means that survivors can just force skull merchant a normal injury and while there is no way to really counter, somebody that is just holding the crouch button the entire time aside from just punching them with your budget predator claw, but that’s why I like running rapid brutality for that exact reason so that I still get some value after the basic attack.
- as perk options I’ve already mentioned corrupt intervention and the niche usage of rapid brutality, but as for some other ones turn back the clock is a good one since kicking generators just slows down the pace of merchant that, and having a perk that can damage it remotely and consistently means that she doesn’t have to slow down on doing merchant things, disillusion is one of the best Chase perks for her since if you injure somebody with a claw trap from your drone disillusion will still activate which means you won’t have to wait for your basic attack cool down and if they vault the pallet that’s just the easiest double tap of the century at that point. Surge is also good since she’s really only gonna be downing with her basic attack, but I prefer to the clock at the end of the day since it gives me more control on which generator I want to damage. That and if they just lead you away from the area where they’re getting generators done they will and you won’t really get any value from the surge, bamboozle is also really good since you can shut down windows and force survivors in the situations that they would rather not be in and it’s especially nasty when combined with disillusion cause that just means you have both pallets and windows covered when it comes to chasing, and lastly literally any and all hex perks since she can defend them with her drones.
- A lot of people don’t know about this, but skull merchants drones will deploy where you press the button and not when the animation ends. That’s why sometimes it looks like it flies back to where previously were even though you were trying to deploy it somewhere else.
- one more thing is that your drone when you place it will always begin to rotate to the right so if you truly feel like it, you can run to the left next to a survivor deploy a drone and try to instantly scan them if the survivor doesn’t know about that trick.
I think that’s about most of the stuff I’m able to tell you if you wanna learn a bit more about merchant there’s a Guide made by Pixel Bush thats extremely helpful and its also where I got a majority of what I know from. Hope I was able to help a bit. - I like placing them and typically high traffic areas that chain together or high priority loops that are near generators. Congratulations. W For you playing the Weakest killer in the game and getting them to P100ed.
I remember when I got my Unknown up To P100 which was my first P100ed. Never forget where you started and the Road you took.
Again Congratulations 🥳
the road took me to the third worst killer in the game and goddamn do I enjoy playing her.
