What if we did get a military killer?
For those who don’t know, the clown was originally going to be a soldier from World War that used gas bombs but was eventually scrapped. But I kind of like me, wondering in the modern DBD what would a military soldier even play like? This isn’t going to be a me throw my hand and the ring with killer design typing right now, but rather I just wanna hear all of your ideas for what a military soldier would even be in DBD. What would their power be? What would their Lore be? What would their motives be? What would their design be? all these are questions I would love to hear your answers to.

Hmm. It could be an interesting angle.
Perhaps a trap based killer who lays mines/uses explosives or obsatcles (barbed wire) against survivors. Uses a bayonet as a close combat weapon.
Theme wise i think something ww1 era would be quite cool, a trenchcoat and gas mask would be a very spooky intimidating vibe that would fit dbd. That way they could do different uniforms themed on different countries involved in the war.
Lore could be a soldier who went insane on the battlefield and just killed anyone and everyone he came near including his own side before being pulled into the Entity's realm.
Deliberately leaving the soldiers nationality in question would be good just to avoid any awkwardness.
yeahhh i mean you'd have to be careful with skins of different uniforms, there would 100% be people who either felt awkward with certain skins or, if they released the wrong ones, people who use it to potentially be racist
Well, the closest thing we have is Wesker in his S.T.A.R.S. uniform…
I would love a military themed killer - perhaps a soldier with PTSD or a ghost. I kind of miss the original designs where it was just bad people. I'd love for another killer similar to Clown in terms of story. I just want more irredeemable terrible characters added as killers. Clown and Doctor are some of my favorite killers because they are just that. Why not add a character to DBD that Clown can be rivals to? Someone more depraved than they are.
I do agree about leaving the nationality ambiguous though at least to some degree to where it isn't relevant to current world events.
Yeah hence why i suggested it's vague what nationality the killer is. But i feel like if effort was put into the individual uniforms, they would look very cool. All keeping the gas mask to keep ot spooky and anonymous
They could make them from a fictional country if they are worried about offending anyone, the dbd universe is endless
The Doctor was part of the CIA. I know it's not quite the military, but they work hand in hand.
Can you imagine getting Richtofen as a dbd character complete with voice lines?

We have something quite close regarding lore.
Huntress killed WW1 soldiers and stole their uniforms. A soldier killer tied to huntress lore would be great regarding the revival of old characters and lore.
He could be cavalry, a super.mobile meele with a horse.
He could be an infantry, a frontline fighter with a revolver and grenades.
He could be an artillery, ordering long range airstrikes and short range artillery strikes.
Endless options.

pretty much it’s the theory that killers with white glowing eyes like Wraith, Spirit, and Deathslinger are being influenced by the entity to see what it wants them see to motivate them. This was further confirmed in Oni’s tome.
If we use THAT theory... we're abit more free on who we get for the killer role.

Im just imagining him seeing everyone as zombies. Maybe he'll say lines like "oooh, double points...yes" when he uses exposed.
And he could constantly complain about having no ammo 🤣
