If Vanilla won't cut it anymore can we try Strawberry or maybe even Chocolate? 😋
Are we about to start The Great Ice Cream Flavor Debate?

https://app.betahub.io/projects/pr-5642738318/issues/6883
It would appear that someone else has already made a bug report on that site regarding this issue, though I think the video provided, while appreciated, doesn't really convey exactly what's happening very well when casually viewing it. Every key press has a delay, and the input continues to be received well after the key is released. I'm not having any (new) performance issues related to network latency or FPS drops or stuttering, and I can switch between keyboard and gamepad and see the immediate difference in responsiveness. My keyboard also, of course, does not experience this delay outside of DBD, and never experienced it before this most recent update.
Anyone can add additional evidence to a report on BetaHub, and that would greatly help!
-
It looks like a Vanilla hiccup! I can check in about it.
-
For players experiencing frame drops or performance issues, we do not believe this is connected to Denuvo but we want to look into it. Can you please contact Support?
-
Thank you for reaching out to Support in the meantime and sharing your feedback here! We don't believe this is directly tied to anti-cheat and Support is the best route for now, as we do want to look into the issue for players.

I'm not gonna lie, I am so tempted to go play the Halloween game at this point. A compensation needs to given to all the players experiencing these problems, because the game is currently unplayable right now and nothing has been done yet to fix it.
In the meantime, I do encourage that you reach out to Support https://support.deadbydaylight.com

That does not answer nor does it solve why eac is still present and active further it does not stop eac from preventing denuvo from launching. EAC still runs on windows 11 it was never disabled like you previously stated. Running in admin does not change this.
This is the information I have available.

does bhvr have any comment/solution on why eac is still active/running and why for some users its actively blocking denuvo from running preventing people from playing?
https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/52891224375828-Denuvo-Anti-Cheat-FAQ
Players are advised to follow the FAQ, start Steam as Admin, and ensure Denuvo is installed.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/471906/denuvo-anti-cheat-trial-feedback
Currently, shortly after launching the game on Steam, my system experiences a complete "hard freeze." The computer becomes completely unresponsive—keyboard shortcuts like Ctrl+Alt+Del do not work, and there is zero response from the system. The only sign of life is the game's background audio continuing to play. This crash occurs randomly, sometimes while sitting in the main menu and other times in the middle of a match.
I immediately isolated the issue by running through a comprehensive troubleshooting checklist:
- Updated my graphics card drivers to the latest version.
- Verified the integrity of the game files.
- Completely disabled Windows Core Isolation (Memory Integrity) to prevent kernel-level clashes.
- Added the game and the anti-cheat executables to the trusted applications/exclusions list in my antivirus software.
- Disabled the Steam Overlay and ensured no other background overlays were running.
Despite these advanced steps, the total system lockups persisted. To confirm the root cause, I switched to playing the game via the Epic Games Store where the Denuvo test is currently inactive. On the Epic version the game runs flawlessly with absolutely no freezes or lockups.
I also want to note that even during the brief periods where the Steam version didn't completely crash my PC, I was experiencing occasional micro-stutters, which are entirely absent on the Epic Games version.
If this is a contined issue, can you please contact Support? https://support.deadbydaylight.com

The best things we can do is get logs or other data and submit it on BetaHub to the team directly:
To get logs, quit the game after experiencing the issue:
Windows Key + R → appdata → Local → DeadbyDaylight → Saved → Logs → DeadbyDaylight.log

For the first time ever after a DbD Update. Not a good first impression.
Did you install as admin?

If you dont have Denuvo installed already to run other games, you might want to look up how to fully remove it from your system. Uninstalling DBD alone might not fully remove Denuvo. I believe a dev posted instructions for this somewhere...
We address this in our FAQ: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/articles/52891224375828-Denuvo-Anti-Cheat-FAQ

EAC is not active on Steam. Denuvo is the anti-cheat on Steam right now!

I'm not sure I understand...the Banner is the baked in counterplay for survivors should that not be the thing to tweak/look at if we were looking to help the survivor end rather than the killer power itself?
The ending of the Killer power is to prevent the Knight from being locked out from his power for too long if the pathing is greater than 48m.

Thank you for stepping in to give some explicit reasoning behind the changes.
Happy to share, thank you for asking!
-
Glad I could clarify!
-
Calling them buffs and nerfs can oversimplify the intention behind today's changes. For example, the curve allows for more skill expression without it being a dramatic change.
The Knight change allows for the Guards to phase through a pallet whilst dropped on them, or return the Guard power to the Knight if the pathing around a pallet is greater than 48m. This is a compromise between the phasing and how the power previously would leave the Knight without a power whilst a Guard followed a long path around a dropped pallet. -
The 48m only applies around a pallet. Guards phased through dropped pallets previously which removed some counterplay opportunities. We had to readdress how Guards interacted with them so that players could counter. 48m is the range in which the pathing guard will give up the chase to give the Knight his power back, and does not change the hunt time.
-
Basically, if a pallet is pre-dropped in a chase with a Guard, they will redirect around the loop to avoid the pallet. If the distance they would travel on that redirected path is more than 48m, they will abandon their Hunt.
-
The team is currently investigating a visual issue with lunges; it isn't affecting the ability itself.

I’d genuinely love to watch you juke a killer for 4 minutes when all the pallets are already gone, the killer is teaming with another survivor, and you’re getting sandbagged on top of that. 👏🏼 I’d really like to see how often you manage to escape in that situation.
If killers couldn’t keep survivors slugged indefinitely, survivors wouldn’t be able to team with them like this in the first place. We’ve even seen the exact same thing happen to various Fog Whisperers, so I guess that must be a “skill issue” too, right?
It’s pretty sad when someone runs out of actual arguments and immediately resorts to personal attacks just because they can’t handle being confronted with the reality of the issue.
It's a bit hypocritical to accuse players of being "little kids" and "bots" and then get defensive about personal attacks. Please keep posts on topic and civil.

We have tested it with ReShade and it did not cause any issues. It is a trial, however!

Now it's worse then ever after the last update but Plague is having these problems since years. Also the report is from January and it's still not fixed☠️
The post I linked shows an official response explaining that Plague's power is not a stream, but rather in units. They have also requested further video evidence of examples. Some things can stay under investigation if the issue cannot be reproduced or enough evidence isn't provided.
-
Just checked and saw this is still currently under investigation. BetaHub is the best way to get bugs to the team directly. They are all managed through there.

Winning is a pip. No matter how you succeed or fail in doing so.
This has always been the case but people like to complicate things to make themselves feel more important or better than other players.
This is how I measure my wins as well. If I played well, but didn't pip, I put that one solidly in my loss category.

I think putting passive aggressive poll options isn't going to foster constructive conversation, so we will be closing this one.

i’ve been meaning to try Reanimal for a while because little nightmares is genuinely one of my favorite horror games and this being made by the same people gives me hope that I am going to enjoy it just as much
Bonus: Only one of the two needs to own a copy. The friend can play the companion for free on a friend pass.
-
Games I am also playing right now:
IRON NEST: Heavy Turret Simulator You have a big turret. You blow things up. It requires triangulation though so if you're not into plotting map point it won't be fun.\
Big Walk: You walk around with friends and do puzzles. Very cute.
REANIMAL: Co-op from the Little Nightmares devs.
Moonlight Peaks: Stardew Valley for goths.
Thank You For Your Application: Papers, Please is just like it.Spirit City: Lofi Sessions: Productivity game where you can collect pets and listen to cute music.

Why Random Perk Mode is a good idea:
- It would make matches feel less repetitive because you wouldn’t always run the same meta builds.
- It would force players to use perks they normally ignore and find new combinations.
- It could make weaker/less-used perks actually feel useful.
- It would be a fun mode for people who don’t want every game to be super sweaty.
- It could also test how good players actually are at adapting instead of just using their favourite build every game.
- BHVR could make it a separate optional mode, so people who don’t like randomness don’t have to play it.
A simple version could be: you queue for Random Perk Mode, and the game gives you 4 random perks when the match starts. No changing them once you’re in the lobby.
I think that’s better than making random perks part of normal matchmaking because it keeps the normal game intact while giving people something different to play.
This sounds suspiciously like Chaos Shuffle! 😉

I reported her and took a screenshot, but we all know it’s probably going to go nowhere. She had anonymous mode enabled which makes the screenshot pretty much useless.
Anonymous mode isn't bypassed when submitting a report to Support. They receive all of the match information as well.

I haven't used the beta hub yet for a bug. If the chests still are missing their aura would I make a new report or do I need to add to the report that is already there that says fix incoming?
If it is occuring as of 10.0.3, please make a new bug report!

This will be added towards the start of 2027, players will be able to make custom maps and game modes. It waa announced during the anniversary stream a while back.
Just wanted to manage expectations on what was announced, we do not have an ETA, so I don't want anyone to expect it "early 2027".

We hear you; mew classes can add for new and fresh ways to enjoy 2v8. I love reading class ideas, so if you have any, please post them!

Well take down my feedback that i think the OP is wrong and oni is fine and fun to go against.
Feedback sharing is an incredibly nuanced practice, it's part of the process to review a lot of information and opinions when sharing with the team!
-
It's always a joy to see passion from players for what they want to see come to Dead by Daylight. As a horror fan, I have watched many of my own dreams come true in the Fog, and I always hope everyone else's can come true too!
-
I was summoned.
-
Always happy to pass along the feedback! Thank you!
-
Although I don't have any specific information, I am happy to take this to the team as feedback. We consistently monitor the Killer side in 2v8, and that includes pick rates and kill rates. Is there anything additional you'd like me to share regarding facing the Oni that has not been enjoyable in games, such as with a certain Killer Class or partner?
-
Dead by Daylight queue times are important to monitor because they directly affect how quickly you can get into matches. I don't know about you, but queue times can really affect my enjoyment of the game. The matchmaking system constantly needs the right balance of players on each side to form trials, and it's just a fact that it's not fun to sit and wait.
I don't want to say that the playerbase is "that limited", but truly, the player base is finite and is getting split across modes. Three modes just increases the opportunity to spread those players.
-
2v8 only had bug fixes applied in 10.0.3:
Bug Fixes
2v8
- Fixed an issue where The Nemesis zombies could become stuck on Sanctum of Wrath.
- Fixed an issue where Killer chests did not have their Aura revealed when facing The Nemesis and The Mastermind together.
- Fixed an issue where Survivors could see the Aura of the Cage of Corruption while in a locker.
- Fixed an issue where trapped Survivors were missing the trapped animation after stepping in The Trapper's Bear Trap while also being contaminated by The Nemesis.
- Fixed an issue where a Survivor caught in a Bear Trap could be sent into a Cage of Corruption twice against The Trapper and The Mastermind.
- Fixed an issue where it was unable to Drop the Spray/Antidote after being used by a different Survivor.
- Fixed an issue where certain map specific achievements were not being awarded in correctly.
