I don't like Legion because if you heal, he uses his power, you don't heal, he uses his power to hit you 3 times or he sluggs. Either way you just hug a pallet and hope your team does the gens.
Playing him is just "yeet" or "I'M SANIC!" until all the gens are done and you realize you've only downed 2 people.

The game is often on sale for £7.50 anyway. At most it costs £15. I can't see it going F2P changing that much, but would bring the downside of people being less fussed about bans/hacks.I probably did put the value too high but many players complain if they don't get the value of what they paid for when games go reduced or f2p, plus it would be just for skins and ingame content anyway. Plus they would retain or bring back original players who may have gotten disinterested in the game.
-
Depending upon your region, that would seem legit. I have the same issue on Xbox where I get matched with the same survivors frequently. The playerbase is way smaller on console compared to pc.
-
The only change I would give it is survivors hit with hatchets are marked with Exposed status for the rest of the trial, that would make it balanced but still very powerful.

That's something much more complicated than just servers. The game is heavily tied into the platform you play on, and while I'm sure it would be possible to separate that eventually, it would require a ton of work. Your save is tied to your account, for example, and matchmaking and friends are all tied into your platform. Then you also gotta have a unified friends list, and make sure all platforms get updates at the same time (which typically means downtime), and so many more little problems.
And then at the end of the day, it comes down to the platform owners themselves and whether or not they would allow it.
There's no announced plans at the moment, is the short answer. I'm sure it'll be announced if that changes.
Well I wouldn't mind ps4 and xbox one being conjoined somehow. I think the only issue is PC because of Bill and all L4D related skins, I don't think Steam will allow him on any of the other platforms
which is dumb. -
One of the good things about Legion is how he counters strong healing survivor perks and most exhaustion perks. Survivors really only have the option to gen rush.
-
would a rework benefit her or just a instant 360 button on console?
-
Legion is actually better than Clown just weaker than Spirit or anyone with an instant down. But he does have a low learning curve which makes him better imo. Lower level killers will have satisfaction with easier chases, but higher level killers will find him lacking.

I had a few friends complain and says he’s complete trash, while others were saying he was fun.Are they going to buff this killer anytime soon?
I usually buy the killers as soon as they come out but as terrible as people claim him to be, I am willing to make an exception....
he stomps hard at low ranks, against survivors that can loop decently and do gens he's subpar. Imo he's actually stronger than Clown and most of the m1 killers he's just weaker than Spirit and anyone with an instant down.
-
I've been blinding killers left and right with them, especially wraiths. Been legit just throwing them next to a pallet, watch legion vault pallet, then see killer blinded points, feelsgoodman.
-
If you stay at green ranks you get more killer variety

-
He's really sub par and really only useful for farming. His power is as much as a hindrance to him as it is to the survivors since it slows him down and just forces the survivors to hit skill checks. He's add on reliant just to function. He has no real map control and not many ways of gaining momentum unless survivor play dumb. Main issue with playing him is the laggy animations on swapping powers and how if you don't hold on the exact timing you could miss out on a hit. His ability pretty much gives survivors a free premonition of where he's looking at and how far away he is. Essentially he's melee huntress but way way way weaker.
-
The playerbase has increased it just goes through and ebb and flow with other game releases but it tends to stabilize. DBD has a real niche of both being a casual party game and asymmetrical horror game with famous killers in it's roster so it has a broad appeal. Main "problem" the game has is that the killers are not scary and spooky enough imo, the only killers that give me spooks are Myers and Spirit. There also isn't enough horror scenery in the maps (dead bodies, mutilations, weird collectible #########, ghosts, insects like maggots and centipedes crawling around, deathtraps)

Is a simple sack to carry one extra trap in. I know, I know, there is an addon, but let's be honest here, the fact that you have only one trap without addon is nuts. So many problems with the trapper could be fixed if he had one more trap, or an option to replace a trap at a locker. ie: a random unset trap disappears from the field and is grabbed from the locker. Never increasing the total number on the map.The biggest problem for the trapper is he requires so much time to set up the field. By the time he has a few traps set, if he has not found a survivor near one of the unused traps he is grabbing, 2-3 gens are done. The map pressure could be much easier if he could carry one extra as a base. Simple, yet very helpful.
idk why the devs wont do this, they pretty much just buff killers by giving them free add ons anyway. They did this with windstorm for Wraith, they are going to do this with Franks Mixtape with Legion.

Why is it a totem perk?
Survivors get a notification, when the killer use this perk.
And they can destroy it.
So maybe it shouldnt be a Hex perk?
Or survivors shouldnt get a notification?
Or both?PS: Sry, for my bad english.
I think it would work better as an obsession perk tbh, like delay the noise notifications worse as the obsession is injured/hooked, then remove them when the obsession is killed.
-
- issue is rank rest and patch
- playerbase has dropped 3k on average players and 25k in peak players so people are probably playing other games right now.
-
There has been a drop of 4K on average for players. I'd honestly blame RDR2 and Smash Bros over buffs and nerfs possibly Fortnite and Black Ops as well.

@LegitAdventurer said:
This would ruin the perk. The whole point is to make them drop their item mid chase and them waste time coming back running in circles trying to find it. That's precious time they could be doing generators, instead they're trying to find the item they dropped.Franklin's is a stall perk. Breaking the item removes that factor.
^ that's kind of an issue, it shouldn't be a stall perk it should counter items.
Survivors don't have problems finding items they are typically getting hit near pallets and vaults so they just backtrack to that location plus they stand out except for keys and they have a massive pickup hitbox (survivors actually have a smaller healing detection hitbox than items).
The problem is with an instant heal, they actually waste more of the killers time since they can just grab the medkit and insant heal right in front of them and still delay the chase. The other issue is that green/purple boxes can be used for up to 3 gens, if you break the add ons it massively reduces the efficiency. When I play survivor I don't really need items or add ons (except medkit when not running sc or pharmacy), but I do feel like there is still imbalance with the add ons with items when playing killer and it attributes really strongly to toolboxes. Usually when playing against swf other survivors can just nab the items so it doesn't provide a counter. Currently at max rank with Franklins you'd have to hit a person holding the same object twice in order to reduce the efficiency of one yellow add on.
This isn't even a crazy sounding buff, survivors would still have to be hit for it to work, and if they are swf they could just drop the item near a gen or something when they hear the killers terror radius.

You get lightborn for flashlights and they are not an issue imo. I think Franklins is pretty underwhelming if it destroyed add ons it would actually counter a lot of strengths survivors bring into the game (instant heals, heavy charges/repair speed/bnp for toolboxes, key add ons).
Since I'm getting a lot of survivors on here, how many times do you actually see Franklins in a game? For me I see it once out of 30 games and usually just on a Leatherface.

People DC against Legion because they're not fun to go up against. You're doing one of three things against them:
1. Spending too much time gen rushing
2. Spending too much time mending (which is also holding M1)
3. You get tunneled out of the game because they just use their power to rush you down. This doesn't mean they're strong. They're still pathetically weak. But it means that they can tunnel really well, the dead opposite of what they designed them to be.
It's not just that but chases against legion are unfun and unsatisfying, they are either a tunnel stab fest that drags on or just a poke and run.

Go watch tru3ta1ent how hes doing pretty consistent 4ks so far at rank 1. He did 14 or so. Don't go and watch tydetime and other noobsI watch Trus vids all the time. Im not saying Legion is strong or weak, his power is designed to end chases one way or the other by leaving a survivor hit with deep wounds to get another or tunneling them with deep wounds. This is problematic for both survivor and killer because it shuts down the fun aspect of this game which is hiding and chasing. In this regard he's actually superior to Clown since he can apply pressure quickly to one or two other survivors and go back to focusing one while the others are mending. This also forces survivors to stop all benevolent actions and just focus on gens in a wounded state since healing is pointless.
-
@Janick said:
We will not remove the stun effect because the killer can cancel the Power at any time. We tried it during development and the cancel then M1 technique was used by some internally and we felt it was very unbalanced and very unfair. We are very careful at adding stun (cooldown, fatigue) effects on killers, we prefer to not add any (like the Spirit when possible) but in some case, we have no choice. The design principles, strategy, and gameplay of the game are based on cooldown and timing. It is very hard for new game mechanics to get away from it without impacting everything that was done previously.
Yeah but due to his "design" the only way Legion if viable is tunneling and abusing moonwalking to force deep wound timer down, then survivors are forced to either mend and get hit or just get downed from deep wounds. This pretty much makes him an anti chase killer which sounds incredibly unfun for both sides.
-
The messed up thing is, watching Scottjung play him last night, he moonwalked for viability. It's dumb that it works.

It is the only way solo survivors have a chance
I've been thinking about this and the main problem with DS is that it's an obsession perk, if it wasn't an obsession perk and considered a free escape always requiring wiggling to activate then it would be substantially weaker and just give killers a notification like Boil Over.

Spirit, hag, the legion and huntress ( can hit people from a long distance ) i seriously don't get why hillbilly is 115% speed. That just makes him overpowered, he can instadown people easily, he can find people easily and get to people quickly before they can hide. Billy should walk slower on his own.the only thing that needs to be nerfed on billy is that downing glitch on hitting pallets on a survivor vaulting. it is a glitch, if a survivor moves within the animation not even vaulting on the other side of a pallet they will still be downed.

Do you have a video of this? Like I said I use Nurse's on Freddy all the time and have NEVER seen someone waking up with it. I can explicitly remember instances where I could even hear them waking up near me and could not see them. It was never a thing.
I'll try to load up a pic or something I don't really like playing freddy since he needs a lot of lategame power stacked. I've had it happen a couple of times but to be honest with you I think it's a glitch and not intended in the first place, I grab NC on freddy because it covers gaps in his natural aura reading and helps me find other survivors trying to heal, but I have scouted people just waking up each other since I knew they weren't wounded. It has a weird aura detection because if you're too close >20m it won't show and the wake up action is so quick it's hard to spot.
-
No, the devs need to hear the feedback and adapt if we didn't ######### for a full year they wouldn't bother with dedicated servers. Also Nurse is only playable on PC, she's borderline unplayable on any other platform/controller so they can't nerf her. I'd honestly just hope they give her a full rework where she moves faster with a limited dash.
Also the only problem with Freddy is his lunge? He can't even interact with survivors until a seven second duration?
Just because Devs are doing one thing right doesn't mean they aren't doing three things wrong.
Also you're not gonna get stoned, get pebbled pleb.

That being said I didn’t feel Legion, Doctor, or Freddy needed a nerf. However hopefully now they’ll be better able to adjust their kits as needed, and not be held back by weird interactions.
(excluding Freddy due to his “Soon TM Rework”)
This will allow us to tweak the base power of a killer much better, without fear of breaking his build when a players use a certain perk. The feeling of necessity to have specific perks on a character to make him viable is not something that we think is good for the overall balance, which is the reason why we are doing those changes.
Thank you!
Legion already has problems using ANY perks, he has no build, his build has ceased to be. Look this is a 1v4 game, You may not realize that Nurses calling potentially being used for Mend isn't about finding that one guy, it's also about finding another survivor that could be mending them/healing them. Even if you're not tunneling that scouting info is still important.
Devs are being abnormally stubborn about letting Legion be effective in any measure or giving him any build variety especially having to buff Spirit 3 times in order to make her viable.
Of course I am bias because I used Nurses on both Doc and Freddy

-
I rate this post an L out of L

I'm not sure, it will depend on survivior/killer ping but that lag for inputs on an already finicky time constrained game will be hell on killers in high ranks. Nurse and Billy might be unplayable because of the minor imputs needed to play those killers. It also depends upon if the servers are just going to be in America? This will split their playerbase as well in a physical manner.

Being hit through pallets have nothing to do with any of these
You just dropped them too late, a general you, since I never had a problem with that and knew before dropping it if I was going to get an hit. People just think to be in a safe bubble when close to a pallet that's it
I'm just theorizing because hit boxes have seemed off for a while both as killer and survivor, but ping added to killers will cause serious issues.

Just interested in what you all have to say.
The lower base moment speed really hurts him because his power is fairly useless even for tracking. Imagine if Freddy moved like Huntress and you'd have Legion or imagine if Docs speed was always at treatment level. Increasing his base speed would give him the ability to down survivors between his power so he could use his power to soften survivors, then become a normal m1 killer this would also give survivors an incentive for healing against him (survivors don't have a reason to heal against him) since he could just start downing survivors after wounding them all. This would just bring him up to clown/trapper teir.

I know some who will get him because they like to have games “complete”.I probably wont either. Not because Legion will be under powered they could buff them in the near future, the meta will change because of Distortion/locker and every survivor will nab that perk just because it counters bbq, nurses, rancor, iron maiden, and bitter murmur and killers will camp and patrol harder more because they have no incentive to leave the hook. It will make the game more frustrating and toxic for both sides and I won't support BVHR intentionally making the game more toxic by design, the only way they could goof this up harder is making Insidious baseline for Killers.

Btw, here's a definition of mend:

Oh.
But mending isint a healing action.
Ok.
Yep, they twist logic upside down just to protect their precious survivor.
Bloody hell calm down lad.
Doctors only counter to his madness was lockers. With the new perk lockers will becomd extremely dangerous - revealing your location and leaving you exposed.
He will probably be better off.
Plus what kind of good survivofs healed in his terror radius anyway? Especially when most took distressing.
That's kind of the point though, instead of just fixing Legion and allowing more perks to be useful on him, they would rather change/nerf Doc and Freddy to make less perks useful on them. Also Distortion will counter Iron Maiden along with 6 other killer perks and I doubt the exposed effect will actually be useful since it only lasts 15 seconds.

First: rework his add ons.
Some aren't working at all.
Some have so minimal effect that you won't ever notice.
And in the process remove the time limit from his chain add ons.2nd: Reduce the speed penalty during revving, or better remove the penalty completely, so that we don't have to piggy back ride someone to get a hit.
I've thought of ways they could do this, most of his add-on are just copypaste of billys. Really when you play him the main issue is dealing with survivors turning around objects since they can abuse his chainsaw hitbox. I think an interesting fix would be to lower his terror radius so he has more chances of sneaking up on survivors. I kind of hate the camping leatherface meta since that seems the most effective way to play him is to camp one/two survivors and just guarantee those kills.

I think one of the biggest issues is how killer perks in general are either required and work for everyone or they are niche for certain play styles. Some survivor perks are like this, but they have more optimal options than killers have.

9. No terror radius until first hook
10. 15% increased dying and hooking progressI would prefer 3 (maybe 5)
Also note that 8 has nothing to do with balancing
well yeah, but it is a buff though in a way it kind of is since survivors gripe about bp gains compared to killer and killers would use nurses instead of bbq if that was available. Sometimes swf aren't any better than solo players but if they make the game more toxic or gen rush quicker it would be nice to be compensated.

No one does, because it has too many safe areas, too many vaults, building jumps. Trapper should be able to put traps where survivors land, but there is way too many window vaults, they legit need to remove the rooftop awnings and replace them with simple drop openings like Mcmillan, and cut the upstairs building vaults in half, make shrubs shorter and less thick, fix fence rng to make more openings and maybe the map would be fair. Even Nurse does crap at this map unless gen spawn.

And yeah, i do get enjoyment out of moving fast. (Wraith with 2 Windstorms is pretty delicious.)
But what's not really fun is a Killer not being to do what their title suggests. The devs seem to disagree, but it's not even out yet, so i'll keep any other opinions for now.
It's not fun. Sitting in lobby for 10-15 minutes then having your ruin popped in 30 seconds and a 3-4 minute gen rush with maybe 2 hooks if you're lucky is not really fun. I even debate if it's fun for survivors because they literally just sit in a couple of places for a few minutes doing gens while 1-2 guys circle around a few pallets.
I could see Legion becoming another strong farming killer like Doc since he stacks brutality points like crazy, coupled with Distressing and Thrill/Beast he could really get the points quickly.
-
Problem comes down to how the devs have "designed" this game (I put this in air quotes because bugs dictate balance more than numbers). Playing Killers have so much stacked against them with map distance and rng of pallets, hooks, hex totem placement, and gens and survivors on top of their strong perks that the only viable killers are high skill and high mobility. Also it's not as if the each survivor has to be really 'competitive' just sitting on a 1-2 gens will complete their objective, whereas killers have to find a survivor, chase and down a survivor, and hook a survivor and these actions even as effective as possible will not equal to 1 gen being done and the killer will have to do this a max of 12 times to get all 4 kills.
That said, making a weak and less viable killer is making an unfun killer that pretty much just watches the survivors do all the gens and escape while teabagging the exit gates saying gg.

Just drop it and let anyone play with anyone. You'll get some games with noobs, some with try hards but at least it will be a mix up and nobody will be accused of "depipping".

exactly my dude, I play with swfs all the time between rank 3 and rank 15 and the rank 15s typically play better and get more bp if that makes any sense.
Yeah in other words killers would have to rely on using their powers to get downs. Whereas for example right now you could play say trapper and get 0 people caught in traps, but he's fast enough you can just run people down to get a few.
yeah, but if that's the case might as well play huntress or clown. I really think trapper needs more base traps and faster setting and pickup time. Some killers I feel need customized speeds where they are tweaked higher depending on how well they perform. Freddy could be at 120% Trapper and Pig at 118% Doc at 117% Clown and wraith and leatherface 116% they don't have to just be at a standard speed I feel like that's slightly lazy for the devs to just standardize most killers speeds. This would force survivors to do different strats with different killers instead of just running loops over and over again especially since most of these killers are already countered by exhaustion perks and pallets. I also think that pallet and gen kick speeds need some tweaks and that's something they could customize and tweak as well.
EDIT: Idk what they could do about powers since I feel like that the add on system just needs tweaks and adjustment. Trapper is way different with both iridescent add ons, but even then he's less of a threat than no add on nurse.

why are these posts still happening... everyone figured this out playing 2 games against legion, that's why no one is on the ptb.

They should be aiming for every killer to at least be viable at rank 1. Right now there are quite a few who aren't and they don't seem to have improved on this.Haven't the developers even said on livestream that they don't want every killer to be balanced around rank 1 plays?
Now that's a design choice that I cannot find logical.I disagree, to an extent.
This is not Overwatch, Smite, League, or any kind of competitive-focused game. While balance is a priority in an asymmetrical game, it's illogical to balance every single thing (like these games with leagues and a HUGE competitive scene) around the highest level of play.
If it's not competitive focused, it's logical to make sure all of your playerbase gets accommodated to, from a business standpoint also.
This not an e-sports game. It's something you pick up for your teenage child or if you're just interested in it yourself, and of course some people are going to grind the hell out of it, or play it mostly, and become really good. But fortunately, the entire playerbase does not do that. You cannot offset beginners with having Killers really, really hard for them either. Given how inefficient the Rank system is too.
In my personal opinion, it would be nice to have a new killer designed to be viable in higher ranks more often. It's not hard to learn the game anyway.
There is a huge discrepancy in both power and play style for killers is there really anything different from playing wraith and spirit? you're both going invis, getting a speed boost, and trying to locate or chase a survivor. The problem between these two killers is power accessibility and attack opportunity. Wraith always has access to his power, but he loses attack opportunity. Spirit loses power access but gains more attack opportunity. This is also a compounded issue with Trapper and Hag, Hag always has power access but trapper has to run around and grab traps, but here's the difference Hag gains attack accessibility when a trap is triggered, trapper has to depend on distance and rng trap escapes to get attack accessibility. That attack access is what limits a killer and nothing else. Clown and Huntress are the same way where they trade off attack access for ability but they are at the same level since their tradeoffs are comparable. This is why Nurse and Billy are such high rank is because their attack access is higher than other killers. Myer never losses attack access he simply gains stronger attacks as he uses his power with a timing window on EW3. This is another issue with Leatherface and Billy, both lose mobility charging their chainsaw but Billy recovers the distance whereas Leather face doesn't. Doc is the same, he loses mobility for his power when he's already trading the ability to attack and doesn't need a double drawback. This is now the issue with Legion and Nurse, both are high mobility killers that move through the survivors defenses at a quick pace, but Legion loses attack access when he uses his power. This is also why freddy is at the bottom, he trades all attack access for power and his power doesn't make up for it.
-
On Legion, no because his kit is weak spirit mixed with a scout/recharge gimmick.
As a Borrowed Time buff maybe.
On the possibility of it becoming a widespread debuff for other killers, yes I can see potential if this was applied as a slowdown for lower tier killers. You can't say just yes or no in these instances, some of this is testing a new mechanic that might be introduced to other killers or perks.
