You can always use it for a basement juke, works crazy well sometimes.
Perks that are good and just not meta are:
Empathy/Bond/Alert/Kindred (cause it gives so much info especially for what your team isn't doing)
Spine Chill/Stake Out/Premonition (good cause it counters stealthy bois especially Spine if you're tired of moonwalking mindgames)
Small Game (everyone complains about noed, well here's your counter)
Windows of Opportunity/ Plunderers Instinct (good for saving time if your teammates used up a resource)In fact here's just a list of bad perks or too situational:
Deja Vu, Detectives Hunch, No Mither, Autodidact, Boil Over, No one Left Behind, Dark Sense, Slippery Meat, Vigil, Wake Up, Sole Survivor, Open Handed, Up the Ante.I agree with you on those good perks, but not all of your bad ones. I've used a couple of those to good effect on occasion. Deja Vu helps a lot on some of those indoor maps where you are struggling to find that last damned generator, and Dark Sense is great for seeing the killer's location before you leave your generator for the next one.
I totally agree on no one left behind, or for that matter, most end game perks for survivor. Up the Ante is GREAT... the first time you get hooked. And if your team knows about it. I've NEVER failed to unhook myself with it if no one had died yet. But when the rest of the team doesn't pick up on it, yeah.... So I suppose those are very situational.
I havent used a few of those, however, so no opinion on the rest.
The problem with Deja Vu and Detectives Hunch is that gens spawns are fairly static and predictable. The problem with any generator related perk is the time needed to activate it and how many times it can be used 5 max if you're having to do all the gens. Up the Ante and luck in general is overshadowed by Deliverance. Boil over just makes the killer sway more when carrying a survivor, Vigil just doesn't do enough or it's so situational that it can't help. Autodidact requires multiple healing skillchecks at a detriment (and it's difficult to see those skillchecks) to even start working. Left Behind and Sole Survivor requires your team to die in order to work and it doesn't have a strong enough benefit.

Everyone is complaining and arguing about whether the game is balanced or not, saying killers are overpowered or survivors win too much. What is balanced? My main point for discussion is:
Would you consider the game balanced if the average match was 2 survivors are killed and 2 survivors escape? Thats half and half.Discuss what the average match would have to be for you to think the game is balanced.
Im asking this because ive compiled almost 200 match statistics from rank 10 to rank 1 including map, killer, killer rank, killer perk tiers, killer add ons, whether im SWF and with how many, and how many end up surviving.
It depends on how those kills and escapes happen. I think the game is in a good balance state if it lasts 12 minutes and the killer can get 8 hooks without having to tunnel. What I would suggest is Billy and Nurse and possibly spirit getting changes and generator time increased by 15-20 seconds.

Considering BP events that are not tied to any Seasonal event are purely given as a kind gesture I don't care if they decided to make them 1 hour only or a full week. It was a kind gesture to simply give people a shot at some extra BP. I see many people complaining (for various reasons) as if the BP events are a right for us to have. Lets just be grateful they give them out as frequently as they do and suck up our losses if we didn't (for whatever reason) have the time to take full advantage of them.Yeah but the game was unplayable and frankly not enjoyable post patch because as a survivor or killer you had a large chance of disconnecting or being forced into a 3-2v1 which isn't fun for either side. Essentially this event just made back the blood points that I lost from the dcs

This patch still isn't fully fixed, A bulk of survivor animations are still broken, Trapper and Clown was bugged for a long time, Spirit was substantially harder to play, some objects (gens and pallets) are not loading due to the engine.

Nurse or Hillbilly?Billy, he requires no perks or specific builds just understanding where survivors run to tiles and where you can get an instadown.
Nurse for learning really needs shadowborn(to keep eyes on a survivor from blink stun) and a lot of muscle memory and prediction.
Another option you could learn is Spirit, she's add-on and mindgame reliant but definitely top tier.

Stack them both, pretty much no one gets healing done and it delays the game another 2 minutes.

So, I suck as Billy. I get looped to #########. And I end up facecamping an exit gate. Please give me tips. I can't live this way. The exit gates were not made to be facecamped. (seriously I always facecamp a gate when I lose)you need to go to settings and change q and e to left and right movement (it still has the mouse enabled). this will help with chainsaw steering. With Billy you can't just chainsaw at a loop, go ahead and slug. You have to use chainsaw to catch them in between tiles or if they are camping a pallet. Predicting survivor movement between tiles is effective and watch when they try to 180. Billy also has some hit box bugs in his favor you can chainsaw survivors if they are too close to small objects like tires and trees. Survivors typically camp pallets and vaults vs billy so I recommend Spirit Fury/Endurance and Bamboozle to limit their chase options. Watch your lobby too if you get a lot of p3 clauds go with whispers to find their immersed butts. Main thing is just practice, practice. practice.

What if it was required to break hooks to get the shank in order to perform the strike? This would require survivors to bring sabotage, breakdown, or a toolbox, break like 1-3 hooks, then it's active able (then rework it to have easier activation). Then it wouldn't be a free save since a survivor needed to hit a requirement and it would be an equal time waster to what the killer loses in a chase.or just make the perk increase struggle speed, because that will help and not be a get out of jail free card
I suggested this way also due to a theme, where are they getting these sharp objects to stab the killer? The hook is the only object survivors interact with and it clearly drops on the ground...
yeah, but the survivor is attacking the killer when wiggling, so this can be used as a way of showing that they are literally stabbing aggressively at the killers shoulder, if we mix me and your idea it would come out clean
Well I wouldn't mind a perk with stronger wiggle just not tied to ds (cough boil over cough). The real issue with ds is how much time the killer loses when the survivor activates it. If a survivor has to lose objective time on something besides a generator then it actually helps the killer and saboing hooks also carries a risk with the noise notification and having to grab a perk or toolbox to use it. This would also give killers a hint of multiple ds users in the game. Development wise this would also give sabotage an overall function for solo survivors. I also like the idea of chests being a requirement because that's a limited resource that other survivors go for but it seems like a double reward.

I don’t think so. If that happens killers would had to bring hangman’s trick because pretty much survivors won’t left any hook in the map.it would be an objective time sink, just to make a perk active, not only that they would have to use sabo or a toolbox just to make the perk work it would make it more niche.

this perk would give less info than nurses calling, but it would be overall more effective at lower ranks against players who can't hit skillchecks which would make it contend for sloppy butcher as a slowdown for healing.

Nurse is unplayable on console... just throwing that out there, she's weaker than wraith even in the right hands. I would like it if they just gave her a rework where she normal killer movement and can just walk through objects at 105-110% with her stun afterwards. Are you joking? They're going to fix her on console with the FPS fix, plus even if they don't you got Hag, who is the 2nd strongest killer on console (to Billy) and she is very similar to Nurse. On console once they fix the FPS, Nurse will be great. But buffing her is NOT a good idea. She's overpowered enough as it is right now.
shes unplayable on console because of controls, not so much fps (that slows down survivors as well so it can be a crutch) due to Nurses' having to blink and 360 it makes her much harder to play on controller, they could fix this with an instant 360 turn button (that would be epic for some killers).

“The Endgame solution” Definetly needs to be discussed, though I don’t agree with the 20 minute past mark; as it rewards survivors for looping (which wastes lots of time, if the killer isnt’ very good {but most are}), which as a survivior; I’d like some alternatives for escaping. The exit gates wouldn’t just be magically powered, as the benefits those who hide in lockers and ignore objectives in order to win the game. But that's my point, there comes down to a point where survivors run out of tools to hide and escape and they can't do the objective so they just hold the game hostage or give up. If the killer doesn't want to chase a survivor for 20 minutes they should have the option to just end the game on even terms since it's at a stalemate. Do you know how many games I've had some guy just hid in the map for 5-10 extra minutes while both exit gates are done and the other survivors died/left? I've literally gone afk to go to the bathroom and eat and the game is still on and that survivor is just dicking around.

Also, why would you do a hatch standoff? Finish the Gens and leave.
That was a pile of mistakes bro both on Nea and Pig, what rank is this? First mistake is not finding ruin asap. Console players are not as strong on pc for greater skillchecks. Those have to be the most immersed perks I can even imagine with a P3 claudette. That pig tunneled the hell out of those two and nea was just unhooking, claudette should've gotten the gens done and hatch escaped at the 5 minute mark instead of dragging the game out for 20 minutes.

This would cause one giant problem:Severely punishing all players for simply having a game last a little too long. Especially killers that have a slow start.
3 Gen camp is not being held hostage, survivors shouldn't have let the situation happen and the worst case scenario for the survivor is dying. They are not being held hostage, the killer is using a tactic to win.
Getting 3 survivors against you doesn't force the killer to dc.
Getting a swf doesn't mean that the killer is incapable of hitting or hooking people. Killer has lots of tools such as bloodlust to eventually catch survivors. Limited pallets and item durability means that a vital resources to avoid getting caught by the killer is limited. The longer the game goes on the less survivors have to deal with the killer.
I've had games last up to 30-40 minutes both on killer(it happens less with whispers) and survivor side because of 2 guys and 3 gens and no one wanting to die, attempt a gen, or leave a locker. I'd rather just have the game end at that point since it is a stalemate than have it drag on that long, but I don't feel like I should just intentionally die and give the killer another 1k bp just because my teammate is super immersed and I don't feel like the other player "deserved" the hatch.
At high ranks, killers like the challenge that survivors can bring and feel unsatisfied playing against 3v1s and will actually dc just to find a full lobby (watch Trutalent, Monto, Hybrid Panda) especially after patches DCs are way too common and a killer might consider it an option if they don't want to depip.
With swf especially with people intentionally dcing to stay at low ranks they go out of their way to bully killers still learning the game. Granted the MERCY option, is just an option. You can endure it and get your bp and maybe rank up. If I get gen rushed in less than 5 minutes I don't want the survivors hiding around and holding the game hostage for another 10 minutes which does happen. Essentially this just removes all power a toxic swf has against the killer which is a community problem.
EDIT: Most games have a time limit, or a way of forcing an end, dbd actually has a problem with this since there is no endgame besides the hatch, but even the hatch leads to another stalemate/standoff if both killer and survivor reach it.

I felt so bad. Most of all this guy isn't even fun to use.
I've learned a trick with this to counter Legion, it's called wasting time. If legion has to chase me around the map just to force a down I'm gonna use that entire bar to my advantage and keep the chase on me. I can force a 3 gen chase just by staying in line of sight, juking, pallet camping, jungle gyms and hell the killer shack, and just get downed once.
-
Surivivors aren't op, what works the most against the killer is the map and map spawns. Lery's and the Game are deathtraps for survivors (atleast for me anyway and I'm at red ranks). Imagine if pallet spawns were in pointless out of the way locations, the gens are exposed with no loop, there's no real hiding places, blood and scratch marks are way noticeable and totems are tucked in weird crannys and random rooms that look all the same. The reason why Coldwind Farm is the strongest survivor map is because corn is the hardest thing to see scratch marks and survivors and the totems are in obvious areas not to mention the tile spawn is very strong with long fences with a pallet like haddonfield.
TLDR: Map imbalance is what makes survivors strong, if we were forced to play on Lery's/The Game the survival rate would drop in half.

good god that's a tldr my dude. Look as a solo survivor I get my toxic swf moments in. I just played against an irridescent head/noed huntress and me and other survivors bodyblocked for a dwight to not get hooked into a basement. Been seeing a ton of legions use it and I just see items littered everywhere on the map for me to nab.

Gotta' say, I don't really think cypress is underpowered, the rest are just overpowered. I don't think there's anything in the game that comes anywhere close to changing the balance that much. The second closest would probably be a tombstone Myers or iridescent head. I mean we're literally talking about an offering that instantly takes someone out of the game after just one hook. The equivalent would be an offering/add-on that allows a survivor to instantly escape after completing only one generator, and that's just bananas. I'm all for most ultra rares being nerfed into the ground like BNPs- that includes anti-hemorrhagic syringes and all. It would make the outcome of a match more based on skill and less who brought the biggest guns. With that said though, I would totally be okay with cypress becoming baseline, but rancor would need something to make it stand out.
EDIT: Updated wording, used to sound like I implied syringes were nerfed. Yay, punctuation.
I think it would be more viable if it allowed the one of last 2 survivors to be mori'd. It actually doesn't have a function since the last survivor is typically camping the hatch.

Most higher ranks will say that Legion is far to weak and - in theory - I understand their position. However, in low or mid-rank games I often see Legion doing 3 or 4 kills easily. I think the problem is that there is no direct counter to his power. If you are already hurt, how do you counter a Legion who refuses to use his power unless you drop a pallet? If you drop the pallet, he hits you again, if you don't use the pallet he gains blood lust and gets you down with the regular attack?
Can someone provide a strategy for non-top-tier players?
There's a 2 fold problem with Legion: His power is both a crutch and a weakness. If you're already injured then he wont use his power on you so best just do generators and be immersed and hide loop around a pallet until he's forced to use his power to catch up. He may tunnel one guy, but most of the gens will be done with this strategy. Another option is jungle gyms but he's probably going to tunnel you until he gets that hook, main issue is relying on team mates to get the gens done.
Strategy wise you could grab adrenaline, it really messes him up late game since he just loses all pressure.
TLDR: He's stronger at your rank because players aren't doing gens.
What doesn't help is, when survivors litterally know its a legion and can see one survivor get hit with Deep wounds on their status icons, they rush to the hooked survivor. WHEN IN THE TR.
if the legion see a Killer Instinct notification going towards a hooked survivor, they will rush to that point, the one trying to gwt unhooked geta hit, then he knocks both of you down with m1 because wow... You played yourselves.
Best counter play is have One survivor bait them to areas away from the rest so the other three can genrush imo.
Which risks one person being hooked. But if you can juke and hide, that survivor will be okay. It's pretty much the same tactic you use with every other killer, you want them away from the gens, in a decent loopable area, with 3 expendable pallets. I have to do this strat all the time with Spirit and she's stronger than legion imo. I can actually force a legion into a 4 gen chase just from them wanting to tunnel me into mending then I use dead hard and force a chase sequence to activate again and hopefully just get hooked once and not camped (even if camped it's still a legion). If 3 people escape and I don't derank I'm not mad about being tunneled.

The Killer AI will lose all games.
The Survivors AI will win all games. If the killer were a true AI that utilized all the data, (probably spawns, sounds, scratch marks, survivor detection) it would be unstoppable, but it also depends on the win conditions. If the survivors all had to all survive they would always lose, if they could leave with just 2 killed then they would always win. It also depends upon "winning" or losing. Gen rushing and escaping will actually cause you to never rank up even though it is the most objective way to win. In all honestly there's too many factors in planning a good ai for either side (maybe if it analyzed data from all the top killers and top survivors) in the end you'd probably end up with a toxic flashlight blinding tbagging survivor.

A lot of parts aren't cheap, and if I want to be able to play the games i want i have to spend more money on the more expensive parts. I'm not gonna buy a PC cheap that it can only play one game. If you want to play the games you want, PC gaming is more expensive than console. So what you are saying is You'd rather give Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo 2-500 dollars every few years, and turn god knows how much more money's worth of games into little more than coasters that will need to be repurchased. Got'cha.

We all can agree that the momentary totems are broken. How would you fix totems?
I should clarify that I am about 60/40 survivor killer. I have a viewpoint as a killer and as survivor.
Ruin is the strongest one, I'd like it if they would nerf it on the skill end and just cause the regression but not the 2 second delay on progress but make the regression 1-2% stronger so if team mates are working together they can actually progress the generator. This is mostly a buff to console players since great skill checks are insanely hard on controller.
Huntress Lullaby needs to be an Obsession Perk and just get stronger the more the obsession is hit, downed, and sacrificed.
Thrill is fine.
Devour Hope should only activate when a killer has hooked a survivor.
Haunted Ground is fine.
Noed is fine but maybe nerf the haste effect by 1% since it got a substantial buff or scale the haste the closer the killer is to the exit gates.
3rd Seal would probably just work as a wounded proc, the same way as thanaphobia and not with a full blind but nerfing survivor aura reading range by 50/60/70 with a bonus to other survivors hit. -

ranking up as survivor on higher ranks is fairly difficult. You could get 20k and none of the right emblems to pip. It has to be easier, if it was difficult then no survivor would rank up and killer que times would be even longer or even more mismatched.

With three blinks, there is simply no game. There is no way to make generators and this is frustrating too. There is no counter of it. Pallets, jukes are simply impossible with add-ons.In rank 1 there is practically only Nurse and Hillbilly in the game, my biggest regret was to have picked up that rank.
This is where playing as nurse comes into play, there are parts of the map you can abuse where she can't blink effectively (trees). Also dead hard counters her pretty hard on pc, it's impossible on console though due to the framerate and input drop.
Also you can see where her redstain is during the blink and have a half second to juke appropriately. Also if you are skilled, you can actually flashlight stun a nurse if have enough space and hit her just right.
EDIT: The other issue is changing your behavior. Playing nurse is all about prediction and muscle memory. If you stop running to predictable loops and tiles. Another thing is corn, if you got corn on a map you can just 360, circle spin, in the corn and the nurse will lose you fast.

Helli beautiful people. I've reach 1 000 000 bloodpoints (thx to winter solstice) and I wonder which character to level up in order to get good perks? Here what the (useful) perks I already have.
Survivors:
Self-care, sprint burst, dead hard, d-strike, urban evasion.Killers:
Bbq, ruin, devour hope, make choice, blood warden, nurse's calling, legion's perks. Thanks !
You pretty much have all the meta perks in the game minus adrenaline. I myself find aura reading perks fairly good (bond, empathy, alert) Pretty much if you just finish Meg, Claudette, and Nea. Also streetwise is pretty broken if you gen rush with toolboxes or if you want to be toxic with a flashlight for a longer time.
For Killer, I personally like Bloodhound since the audio is really messed up its as effective as deerstalker if you slug and it really prevents survivors from being immersed and scratchmarks are really messed up due to the engine on some maps.
All of Myers perks work fairly well if you like slugging faster or moving faster or having a secondary slowdown option with Dying Light. Bamboozle, Enduring, and Spirit Fury work amazing for chases. Haunting Ground can be effective and gives you some extra time on ruin if they break the wrong one.
If you play Legion you really need Stridor and Moniter and Abuse. It gives you so much ability to sneak and to locate wounded survivors.
