  • You can change it to left on the d pad. Allows for doing gens with only one hand on the controller but you have to get used to also using it to unhook and go through hatch and some other things. The only problem is you cant crawl and recover using tenacity very well/at all.

  • I play solo mostly so what i saw breakout as is a way to do a sabotage build. The speed burst would allow you to get ahead of the killer to drop the hook from 99-100 and they can wiggle out before they find the next one cuz of the wiggle speed. Not sure if this is anything tho

  • We really need the collision and vaulting fixes. Everything else I would be fine without.

  • Free stuff is definitely good but I do think previous owners of these cosmetics should receive bloodpoints and auric cells to compensate

  • The collision fix and the window vaulting fix I believe are necessary and are barely even a nerf. It just makes more sense. Even as a survivor main I honestly don't care about the other changes to add-ons and the phasing sound and wouldn't mind if those didn't happen. I just use spine chine anyway

  • I'm on console so I only have a few of the event items, so getting all those cosmetics is pretty awesome to me. However, I completely support the idea that people who previously had those items should receive a good amount of bloodpoints and/or auric cells (but anyone after this who enters the code wouldn't get anything, so the codes will carry no value to get rid of the mentioned scamming issue).

People got those codes and exclusives to stand out, so giving them auric cells to buy either a rift pass or new cosmetics will still kind of help them achieve that.

  • I dont like crushing peoples dreams of escaping xD expecially since i havent played killer in a long time, so im rank 20-18 and everyone is very bad.

  • Ps4 and xbox, killer and survivor

  • The only killer i HATE playing against is Billy. It seems like everyone turns into a potato all of a sudden. Spirit doesnt bother me since i always use spine chill.

  • Its happening to me as well, trying to queue as rank 20 killer

  • I'm a survivor main but survivors are more entitled even when it comes to other survivors, not just the other side. Some times other survivors message me to complain that I didn't do so-and-so for them or were using bad perks or did something they didn't like. That seems entitled to me

  • I hate playing against Billy. In the occasional match where I can juke the chainsaw super well, my teammates go down in an instant and the match ends super quick. Or I just go down in an instant and die when he comes chainsawing back as soon as I get rescued. Not very fun

  • Spine chill is super necessary for me

  • Ive been using SB with Fixated and i love it. You can walk way faster and ive learned that scratch marks give you away very often, so im even more stealthy since im not running everywhere. I dont walk everywhere but i definitely have to prioritize what is worth using SB for

  • I cant tell you why but can confirm that this exact thing is also happening to one of my friends. Maybe it is a bug or maybe it happens to everyone who doesnt own the chapter? I own the chapter so im not sure.

  • Either 2 or 3 updates ago they made all dark clothing brighter and it did make a significant difference. Try finding those old threads, there are pictures comparing them. As someone who bought that brown shirt specifically to blend in better just for it to be brighter the next week im positive they already did part of what you've suggested

  • I literally just leveled up claudette and bought that shirt 2 days ago to prepare to hide from ghostface even tho i hate claudette but wanted the stealth, lol. Waste of my time and shards but people have been asking for this change for awhile so i guess its about time.

  • Can anyone confirm if we'll make it and botany knowledge stack here in 2019? Cant find anything recent and cant test it myself as none of my friends play anymore.

  • The perks sound pretty decent but honestly if they released a buffy summers survivor i would spend money on that in a heartbeat regardless of perks 😂 now i want this so bad.

For real feedback though i think minder could hide scratchmarks for longer (poised hides then for 6/8/10 seconds). Disruption could probably go farther as well simply because it wouldnt be most peoples favorite perk lol

  • Camping and tunneling happens so much i use my decisive strike almost every match. Its honestly a great perk if youre in those ranks. Im down to 5 now and i think the tunneling is decreasing so sometimes i take the risk of switching decisive for something else

  • As i understand it, when the hatch is closed all the generators are blocked off. I think closing the hatch activates the gates, which you can then open, or try to open before the killer gets you.

  • I keep thinking about how this could affect gameplay. The ultimate situation for this (from survivors side) would be this.

Head on makes it possible for the killer to drop a survivor who he's taking to the basement, so he knows he must be careful. While he's carrying someone inside the killer shack, he notices scratchmarks going down the stairs. Annoyed, he drops the survivor he's carrying to go scare the head on ######### away so he can get to a hook in peace. As expected, when the he stands in front of the locker, a survivor jumps out and stuns him. But hey, at least now he can hook in peace. But the locker survivor runs up the stairs, uses insta-heal on the downed survivor, and runs away. 😂 this is the cruelest thing I can imagine. Very unlikely though.

  • I always wiggle as hard as I can unless I'm on my death hook and there's a hook really close and I still have teammates alive. Then I don't wiggle at all and sometimes the killer is dumb and wastes 60 whole seconds carrying my body to the basement when it was my death hook anyway and he just let my teammates get like a whole gen done 🤔

I believe it will work similar towards the Pig’s Jigsaw Boxes, as it’ll only probably be for her and her alone.

This makes sense, haha, i was freaking confused for a bit there

  • I showed a friend the teaser and his response was, what if the killer is just the arm? 😂😂

  • I will eventually be doing regression analysis to determine if map, killer, killer addon strength, killer rank, killer perk levels, SWF, or bringing a green or above item has any influence on the survival rate.

The region you're playing in would be relevant as well.

    @Dragonredking @Delfador

Good points guys! I play on PS4 on the east coast of the US. I kept statistics on each match as an individual, so i will be able to figure out which killer got more kills since i had recorded the number of survivors who escaped. For each match i kept track of whether i was sacrificed, morid, bled out, escaped through hatch, exit gates, or got a freebie. I recorded if i was in a SWF and with how many. I recorded the killers tier levels of perks. So for example if the killer only had one tier 1 perk his score would be 1, but a killer with 4 maxed out perks would have 12. I kept track of addon strength in a similar way. Green was 1, purple was 2, pink was 3 and i added them. I recorded my rank and the killers rank and if i was carrying a green or above toolbox, medkit, or key. I also kept track of which perks i was using. I was Nea the whole time.

  • I go solo so it was kinda a last ditch effort to try to get away by saboing them from 99 on my way by lol

As a survivor main, I hate to say it, but stop checking on it first thing. I note where you go and know where it is.
This is 100% true, I only ever find ruin right away when the killer just goes there as soon as the match starts

Sure is fun staring into the entity's a-hole every time some teabagging-survivor flashlights me in the face.
Which is worse, getting pallet stunned, or blinded?
  • PiiFree said:

Now imagine the opposite feeling from the Killers perspective ;-)

Yeah im a noob killer and one time a survivor flashlight blinded me at every pallet or window or anything and i was so mad but honestly its one of the only ways a surivior can succeed at anything during a chase. Even if you get a few jukes in, unless youre really lucky or the killers a bad tracker, youre getting downed most times
  • Other than the probability of new issues, I am probably going to buy it! Most switch games have motion controls, so im excited to see if they will be able to add them to this game. Could make things more interesting!
  • This is not the best strategy if the killer is using surveillance though because of the update. If he kicks all the gens because you touched them all, as soon as someone touches it again the killer will be alerted
  • If they close the application/turn off console you dont get any bloodpoints, so you wouldnt get event progress either because it is as if the match didnt happen (other than eating your item and offering). If they leave the match through the options menu you still get bloodpoints so you would get event progress as well i would assume

However, I was so happy to hear that they finally formulated an event that promotes good gameplay!

I dont consider "Coward around endgame/1 generator left because I have a vessel, so I dont lose it", "I will save them from the hook as soon as possible so the Killer cant get that one vessel" or "Screw that guy, his vessel is mine now" promoting good gameplay though. Its promoting all the issues the game has in terms of balance because of generator completion times and heavily rewarding scummy playstyles.

Some people might think those things, but most people know that it's much easier to survive when your teammates are alive! More teammates alive is always better, so if survivors are doing those things, it probably means they always do dumb ######### like that and probably don't survive all that much. The event doesn't eliminate stupid people but no event ever will!

  • If you had an empty vial you could get over 12k-ish blood points from just the flowers though, it was a HEAVY incentive, not to mention there were double the amount of skins in that event. The quality of those skins were also significantly better. To which, i kind of understand because its Halloween time and there needs to be crazy bonuses in a game like this around Halloween time, so im not too critical about the Moonrise event. Its a small event, and i understand this. We are still spoiled from the Hallowed Blight event and 2x BP / Giftboxes event from Winter Solstice.

I agree with these points. There is only one offering per P3 l50 bloodweb so you barely ever get the extra BP, when for Halloween you could use an offering almost every match. And the special giftboxes were pretty awesome for the solstice. I also don't particularly think the skins are that great. However, I was so happy to hear that they finally formulated an event that promotes good gameplay! So event mechanic-wise I'm excited about the event! Rewards-wise...just glad for some free skins for just playing the game I would be playing regardless

  • In that event, survivors just got the flowers and DIDNT DO GENS! JUST DIED ON PURPOSE TO GET MORE FLOWERS! In this event, YOU DONT EVEN HAVE TO DO THE EVENT. Just DO THE GENS and get points?? So how is this event worse?? You just play regular...and get extra cosmetics... if you want, you get to glow and get extra progression to the cosmetics..by doing what you should be trying to do anyway: escaping. As killer, you get points for doing what you should be doing anyway...hooking people...and if you want, you can also smash some things...in my opinion, this is the best event I've experienced. In the summer event, you had to complete specific generators, which were checked more often, which sucked. In this event, it encourages proper gameplay and allows dedicated players to complete an extra objective that doesn't take away from normal gameplay except for the few seconds it takes to grab a lantern or smash a lantern

  • So far (at P3 Level 50) every new bloodweb has one event offering and 2 firework items, and they always show up in the exact same place on my web. I was hoping maybe there was a chance of spawning more but I don't think so :(

  • They said 2pm i believe. EST

*actually im 100% sure they said 2pm EST
  • I've been trying to play some weird specific builds just for fun.

Scavenger: plunderer's instinct, pharmacy, ace in the hole, iron will/spine chill/whatever
I usually run this with a chest offering and open a bunch of chests which leaves useful higher rarity items for my teammates. It's nice to be able to heal fast and then also find a toolbox for gens, or even a key. Also just switches things up.

Escape the chase: lithe, dance with me, quick & quiet, iron will
This is my current build and it is awesome for escaping chases easily. Pallet stun, find a window, break line of sight, hide as soon as lithe runs out and you're golden. No scratch marks to give you away and you get a lot of distance with lithe. Even when it doesn't work lithe is still great for extending chases. Time it right against the spirit and she will never find you.

End game: adrenaline, hope, no one gets left behind, borrowed time
Often times this build sucks but damn when it works, it's the best few minutes ever. Being chased? Not for long. Someone being camped? Not for long! Need to distract the killer? Easy! Killers don't usually account for the 7% speed and miss the timing of attacks.

Don't slug me: unbreakable, tenacity, iron will, spine chill
Another very situational build, but it can really change the game at times if you want to take the risk.

Stealth: iron will, spine chill, calm spirit, lightweight
Good if you just don't want to be found but chances are that you will be found by accident, but if escaping chases is your strong suit you might find this helpful.

Aftercare is also an amazing perk but I haven't made a good build that included it, other than just some perks I like: Aftercare, iron will, spine chill, lightweight or something.

  • I think this is a good idea. I can imagine there are situations where there's one survivor left but the killer doesn't really care about catching them and would rather just go on to the next match than wait at the hatch, patrol open gates, blah blah. Having a timer makes sense too, so the timer appears and everyone can still get points (killer: breaking pallets, setting traps - survivor: breaking totems, escaping). It might not be used very much but it should certainly be an option. If the timer runs out before the survivor escapes, they keep the points they have but don't get the escaping points.

  • Its important to keep in mind that the hatch is only visible when there are more generators completed than there are survivors left alive.
I'll list off some common places I find the hatch.
In the Meat packing plant it's always on the bottom floor. In Springwood, it's often in the basement of the preschool but can be other places, like on the street. In Haddonfield, it is possible for the hatch to spawn on one of the closed off porches. It can be in the middle of the street, the playground, or in the hedges. In Coldwind, it can be random in the cornfield somewhere and basically anywhere else, including inside the red barn. In the Swamp, look under the pier, and under that big structure with the maze-like area underneath it, the hatch sometimes spawns right at the mouth of the basement (or where the basement could be). In Macmillan, the Institute, Crotus, Yamaoka, and Ormond it can be basically anywhere, I haven't seen any places more common than others.
It usually will spawn in a location where 2 other things can spawn, like a generator and a hook. It can be on the hills. Its helpful to check in the middle of those sections of walls. Also can spawn in the killer shack.

  • I like how every match is different and requires different skills and thought processes. Using different perks can make you play in a completely new way. Sometimes you can loop for minutes but sometimes you couldnt get away if your real life depended on it. Sometimes your team is amazing and does crazy good things but sometimes they are dumb and basically kill you. I like that its hard and different
  • (Survivor) DCing counts as dying, so just like being hooked or mori'd the vessel will return to its original location on its lantern post thing until another survivor picks it up or the killer destroys it. That was my interpretation of the stream. You either escape with it or it goes back to its spot

How are they broken? Survivor main and not sure what you mean

Totem getting broken within 15 sec of game. Sht totem spawns (next to gen, shining like a freaking lighthouses, asking survs to get broken). Survivors spawning next to lit totems. Hill spawnpoints.

I would love to hear the survivors perspective on that matter and how they would love to see the totems changed for a more fun and challenging gameplay.

It is just funny how the first post is pure obliviousness about the issues with totems.
I know the views of killers, they all calling for a rework, better spawing points and some respawn mechanic.

I was not prepared that someone in the game could say, they are fine the way they are.
Would love if he could elaborate a bit, how totems are not broken.

Hello, i was not saying they dont have problems i just wanted more specifics because i didnt see them as being one of the main problems. Sure its annoying when im killer and they get broken in 3 seconds, however I just played a match in the institute where i was SWF with one other, we broke 4 totems and in the entire match of like 25 minutes we did not find the hex totem. If theres a glitch where it didnt exist thats a problem. But i feel like its half and half being found right away or not being found til the end. Also they hide hill totems now a bit better. Though some spawn points are better than others (like the preschool basement). Its a randomally generated map, i feel like the randomness is part of the game.
  • How are they broken? Survivor main and not sure what you mean
  • I think there has been a chance since before the holidays. I remember finding one in a chest a few months ago (but maybe im wrong). Also found a purple key yesterday which ended up helping 3 randoms! Itd be cool if the chances were a little higher now.
  • I think because its online but i tried that as well and ended up losing 30 levels worth of points when the primary ps4 was switched so i just bought the DLC. Not sure why it cant work though
