  • I think the perk hasn't been nerfed because the devs are so scared of being review bombed that they'll give Survivors stupidly OP stuff and not give Killers any reliable ways to counter them. The SC buff and gens being able to be completed in 20 seconds in the current PTB considerably strengthen this point.

If DS was to get nerfed, then I would either bring back their second idea (Killer is stunned in place, does not drop the Survivor) or give it multiple requirements (or one difficult requirement) in order for the perk to activate (like Deliverance). It's not as crippling to the Killer because they can either prevent DS from activating and/or not lose momentum from the free escape.

  • You guys are still stuck with 1.9.4? You don't even have 2.0.0? Something big must have gone wrong. I hope you guys get some serious compensation for this issue.

@not_Queen @Patricia @Janick Why is it taking so long for Asia to get the new updates?

I've never heard of this "Hex clan". What platform are they on? Do you have any pictures or videos of them and their toxicity?

PC - You can search some members via Steam.

I'll try to record future instances and update you if I encounter any more :)

    Alright, thanks.

I heard of a clan on XB1 that would DDoS people and try to find their addresses so they could harm those people if a clan member was in the game and didn't escape or get some kills. Someone made a thread about it on here a few months ago. I was thinking that this was the same clan.

  • I've had multiple Survivors vault through windows while the Entity blocker was up. I was not running Bamboozle. I hope it gets fixed in the mid-chapter patch. This could easily be a game breaking bug because Survivors could loop certain windows forever.

I had an idea where when survivors that looked at the doctor would gain madness, making for a totally opposite weeping angle chase, I don’t know, I think it would be nice since the Doc wouldn’t have to waste time to slow down to try and shock during a loop/chase

    That sounds really scary.

Madness needs a rework. Whether he's strong or not, there's no denying how utterly miserable it is to actually play against him. Madness could be a cool mechanic to deal with, but instead it just builds like 4 perks into him.

It's miserable to use a different playstyle for a specific Killer?

  • As Survivor I think it’s bugged. I haven’t had anything happen when playing as him. Everything’s normal.
  • I just want my Adept trophy and 30k BP from the daily.
  • I have two of them, both were as Doctor.

My first involved killing some fanboys of a certain streamer that a lot of people hate (I got a 4k with two gens left). They were salty after the game was over.

The second was when the game's RNG had given me five gens all on one side of the map (it was Suffocation Pit). They managed to get one of them while I was distracted, but I had still had four gens that were close to each other. My original plan was to patrol them for a few seconds and go hunting for the Survivors, but then I saw the Survivors start running towards the gens. I started hitting them, but then they started doing something that shocked me: they didn’t try to run away from the gens. They were trying to loop me near them. I got a hook and a kill in and went back to patrolling and chasing. They start running to the area with no gens, and then I decide to see how dumb they really are. I stop the chase and start patrolling the gens again. It takes about a minute or two, but I see the Survivors coming back to the gens and still trying to loop near them instead of staying away and trying to distract me or force me to leave the gens (which I probably would’ve done even without any distractions because after two minutes of patrolling I was getting really bored). I take full advantage of their stupidity and kill the rest of them (the last two stayed near each other so I just decided to go and kill them instead of waiting for them to come back to me). One of them got really salty and started sending a bunch of salty messages in Spanish that involved camping, sex with my mom, and me not having any balls. By camping, they mean I didn’t run to the opposite side of the map (that had no gens and no Survivors) to admire the beautiful scenery while the Survivor on the hook can be saved and healed. All four gens were on the same side as the hooked Survivor, so why would I leave when I know all of my objectives are in one area and the Survivors keep on coming even though they know I’m there? The salty Survivor was rank 2, so maybe I prevented them from reaching rank 1 during that game (they probably safetied or single pipped and they needed more than that. I don’t think they depipped at all, so I couldn’t have kicked them out of rank 1).

TLDR: RNG gave me a five gen strat (which turned into four), Survivors were dumb enough to keep running towards them while I was there, I took advantage of their stupidity, got a 4k, and one of the Survivors sent me typical salty messages because I didn’t mindlessly let them repair the gens.

  • But rank 20s who just picked the game up would not like it, it would be way too unfun for new players
I see where you are coming from, but here is the problem:
Rank 15-20 should be a save space of new players. This means, there shouldn't be a killer with ruin level 3. This should be the job of the devs to make sure that new players only are playing at these ranks.
Also, just because they don't like it doesn't mean they can't finish the gen.

Secondly, why should we balance around noobs? A competitive game should be balanced around the good players not around potatoes
What if someone gets lucky with the bloodweb RNG and gets Ruin to tier 3?

We shouldn’t completely balance the game around noobs, but we need to keep them in mind because we don’t want them to quit the game after a few hours of playing because it’s too hard for them. Ruin not being a totem would mess them up so much. They’d never be able to finish a gen because they either keep missing skill checks or hit mostly goods and have the gen constantly regressing.
  • 2.4.0 definitely messed with his stalk. He can now stalk through walls. I had this happen earlier this week and I was so confused as to who I was stalking and where they were at.

  • I really want six perk slots just so I can run Enduring and Spirit Fury on all of my Killers (except the ones who don't need them) without having to sacrifice my first four perk slots.

  • The same devs who work on the cosmetics do not work on balance and bug fixes. They're two different teams.

  • It's been pretty good. First DbD game of 2019 was with Doctor on Red Forest (I play on PS4).

I ran into a 3 or 4-man SWF (Laurie, Jeff, Nea, and Adam) who tried to abuse everything possible, especially if it involved messing with my FPS. They got three gens at the start (which also happened to break up any possible three-gens they would've left me with), but I had the Adam dead on the hook. The other three managed to nearly complete the last two gens, but I managed to prevent that from happening with Distressing, Unnerving, and Overcharge. The Laurie seemed like she actually was trying to survive, but I ended up finding and killing her. The Jeff and the Nea were the ones that were abusing everything they could. They would actually stay near me and ignore the regressing generators. I think they really didn't care about surviving and just wanted to mess with me. They were even doing dumb things like running in front of me while they were injured and exhausted, meaning no Dead Hard to save them. These guys just really wanted my attention. I manage to down and start slugging the Jeff to look for the Nea. She gets him back up as I run back over to him. I quickly down Jeff again and the Nea is right in front of me. I start chasing her for a few seconds and the Jeff disconnects (I ended up hitting him through a pallet and he must've gotten really salty over it). I continue chasing the Nea to a pallet, which happened to be close to the shack. I hit her once before she goes to the shack and drops the pallet there. I wanted to break the pallet so badly but I knew she'd run away and I had no intentions of letting anyone survive, so I left it intact. Instead of vaulting the pallet, she stays inside the shack. I shock her and then run to her, hoping that I can get there before the stun ends. I smack her just as the stun ends and she vaults the pallet. I break it and then look for a nearby hook because she has DS. Thankfully, a hook is nearby. I dribble and hook her, which ends the game. She was actually salty because I dribbled her even with Unnerving and Doctor and brought Iridescent King and HSE. I was just laughing at the whole situation. They had tried to be toxic and failed miserably.

The other two games I played after that were pretty normal though, except for me stalking through walls as Myers and have no clue who I was stalking and where they were. I thought it was hilarious that I was magically gaining evil and I had no clue who was giving it to me.

  • This sounds like an excuse to not want to use Snap Out of It. Doctor’s speciality is finding Survivors. If you don’t want to be tunneled because of the screams in tier 3, then just have another Survivor block him from getting to you while you remove tier 3 or have the other Survivor heal you before you break out of tier 3 so you can loop him for longer and get him to leave you alone because you're making him waste time chasing you. It also makes the game a little bit scarier because you're never truly safe from Madness 3 even when you're trying to remove it.

    Doctorino op, plz nerf duud!1!!!!

He's just a M1 killer with a ginormus terror radius. All he has is a mediocre tracking ability that can be replicated with perks (Whispers, Predator) and outclassed by certain addons (All-seeing, Amanda's letter). There's no need to remove the only way the Doctor has to keep a bit of pressure on the survivors.
But, of course, you're powerbats, so I don't expect you to understand what I'm saying and come up with a valid counter-argument. Too bad this forum doesn't have "hide this user's posts" option like Steam.

I'm pretty sure powerbats wasn't being serious with that comment.
  • Eight is too much. I’d be fine with five, MAYBE six perk slots.
  • The Skeleton Key does have an advantage over the Dull Key. The Hatch will stay open for 30 seconds if opened with a skeleton key as opposed to five seconds with a Dull Key.

I thought Ultra Rares could be already found in chests and the event just increased the chances of you getting one.
  • The Hatch, Decisive Strike, and Breakdown are the three stupidest things in this game. I hate them in their current state and feel bad whenever I have to use them. If I was teaching a class on game design, I would use these three things as examples of what not to do.

The Hatch is basically a free escape for Survivors and rewards doing nothing but hiding and screwing over your teammates. Even if the Killer finds it first, they cannot do anything but hope the Survivor doesn't find it. Slugging only really works if you know where the slugged Survivor is because they can still jump in the Hatch when downed. I would rework it by allowing the Killer to press a button to close the Hatch. The Survivor could reopen it by repairing a generator. The Survivor would receive a base Left Behind effect (you receive a boost to repair speed for each generator left when you're the last Survivor alive) so the endgame doesn't become extremely boring for the Survivor. The Killer would be able to permanently read the Survivor's aura at an unlimited range after X seconds (probably somewhere around 60-100) of the Survivor not trying to work on a gen in order to prevent the Survivor from taking the game hostage by just hiding and not doing gens. As for interacting with the Hatch while in the dying state, I am not sure if I would allow the Killer to grab the Survivor out of the Hatch or just prevent the Survivor from jumping in the Hatch while in dying state. I think that it's extremely dumb to allow the Killer to be able to pull the Survivor out of the Hatch when they're healthy or injured but not when they're in dying. They can't even stand when in that state!

Decisive Strike not only gives the Survivor a free escape with no requirements, but it punishes the Killer for doing their job. It has counters, but they are either very situational or require the Survivor not be good at skill checks. Dribbling requires you to be near a hook, Unnerving Presence requires the Survivor to not be good at skill checks (even with Doctor's Madness affecting the skill check), and Enduring only shortens the stun; it doesn't prevent the actual strike at all. What I would do is either make the strike either stop the Killer from moving or slow them down or force the Survivor to do something like get a safe hook rescue or help repair the gens in order for the skill check to appear.

Breakdown punishes the Killer for doing their job and makes hook rushing almost completely safe for both Survivors. You could be on the opposite side of the map and the hook would still break. You basically have to bring Hangman's Trick in order to actually play the game and not get punished for doing your job, which takes up another perk slot, meaning that Killers only have two perk slots to choose from. I'm actually not sure what would be the best option for this perk. The breaking hooks part of the perk could just be removed and have it replaced with something different like automatically filling a portion of the sabotage bar or the hook could just respawn quicker (like within 10-30 seconds, depending on the tier of the perk). I'd be down with a full rework of the perk, as long as it doesn't make it even stupider.

I also don’t like the unhooking I-frames, but they’re not as stupid as the previous things I listed. They encourage hook rushing and you have no way to punish the rescuer. I would either remove the i-frames completely when saving a Survivor or add a short Exposed effect (probably around 15-30 seconds) to the rescuer. This way, hook rushing is not completely safe and is more of a sacrificial action. I-frames when unhooking yourself should just be completely removed or you should receive a major Hindered effect and be unable to interact with anything or see any auras (Blindness) until the effect goes away if the Killer is within a certain distance of the hook. Unhooking yourself when the Killer is nearby is extremely stupid and you should be severely punished for doing so.

Same thing as noob3 ban, only worked in kyf...

Didn't noob get banned for item hacking? People just speculated it was something to do with the video because he was banned shortly after the video was released.

If I recall he made a big uproar about the ban got his fanbase to attack one of the community moderators and then a few weeks later owned up to his banning.

Noobs been banned so many times I forget.

I thought Noob got banned for hacking to get his Legacy 3 Nea back after his save data had been erased.

What? Lol this is a stupid nerf to a balanced Killer. The chainsaw is really easy to dodge unless you're bad at Survivor. You just have to turn to the left or right to dodge it.

Yeah, how about no. This change would just make hooking Survivors a chore. In 2016 before regenerating hooks were a thing, Survivors would just sabo all of the hooks, leaving only the basement hooks remaining. The game then becomes slug city, which isn’t that fun for both sides. The auto-repair is also needed to help Killers against the OP perk Breakdown, which punishes Killers for hooking Survivors.

Killers slug even without sabotage. Also killers got perks that help against Sabotaging. Removing the auto repair would allow for more interactive plays

Is this a joke? The only "interactive plays" you're talking about would be more Killers slugging Survivors to death on purpose because they have no hooks nearby unless they happened to bring in a perk that works 1 out of 100 games. Killers also don't need to have another perk become basically mandatory to win a game. People shouldn't be forced to take a perk to win. You should try to play DbD before auto-repair was introduced and how stupid sabo really was.

As a killer you fear sabotage? Then pick the right perks against it. As a survivor you would have to waste a perk slot to sabotage and take the right equipment to do so efficiently. But if the killer takes hangman's trick: then your preparations for sabotaging would be completely wasted and you would be at disadvantage as a survivor.

Same thing as above. We shouldn't be forced to take a perk to win. You can sabo with most toolboxes and repairing gens is so easy that you really don't need a toolbox for them. You aren't wasting anything. Barely any Killers take Hangman's Trick because it won't be that useful most of the time.

Removing auto repair would force people to play more careful and would add more depth to the game. The killer sees the survivors in the lobby, which they always use to counter the survivors: Surv takes Flashlight? Then the killer will take Lightborn. And so on. Also it would justify the camping in the game, since the killers would have a real excuse to camp now.

Forcing people to play carefully? Adding more depth? Lol removing auto repair would do NOTHING like that. It would just encourage more Killers to leave Survivors on the ground and let them take four minutes to die instead of trying to hook them. The game would become even easier for Survivors. If the Killer sees that a Survivor has a flashlight, then they'll know to look around corners and walls more often. They don't need Lightborn. This makes me think you haven't gotten past rank 15 yet. Once you do, then you'll see that Lightborn isn't really needed.

  • Because it's common sense a lot of the time. Why would I go after a Survivor who's at full health over one that's injured?

  • It should just become baseline. It just takes up the spot of better offering. It'll also help with completing the Mori rituals.

  • They could, but it would completely ruin their ideas of “balance”.
  • Yeah, how about no. This change would just make hooking Survivors a chore. • I love that your Deep Wound Status Effect changes affect BT, especially the one where the timer will go down during a chase. I don’t think that the DW timer for BT should be increased to 60 seconds though. It shouldn’t change at all.
  • He’s a mid tier Killer. People tend to overrate him because of his insta-down, low terror radius, and add-ons. He can still be looped for days, you can look around for him, and his strongest add-ons have some pretty big drawbacks (Tombstone Piece only gives you one kill before you have to get back to tier 3, Judith’s slows you down and requires a lot of evil, anything that increases EW3 duration also increases the evil required to reach it, and Judith’s + Perma EW3 requires so much evil that a half-decent Survivor team can starve you and finish all or most of the gens by the time he reaches EW3).
  • @Shadoureon said:
Same like people fixing the carnaval generator first on the Clown map. Common sense to leave that one with the last 3 because its so isolated 90% of the time.

I don't think the carnival generator is guaranteed to spawn. Do you mean the chapel generator? There's a trophy/achievement for fixing that gen, so that's probably why it's getting done first.

  • He's good at countering loops but his map pressure is pretty poor.

  • I think all of the “nerf BBQ” threads have disappeared because the devs finally gave in to their demands. I wonder how many Survivors run Distortion just because it counters BBQ.
  • Where’s a LOL button when you need one? This is such a bad idea. It makes rescuing and escaping even easier.
  • A-Are you seriously complaining about Thanatophobia, one of the weakest perks in the game?
  • Honestly they should’ve been part of a Surveillance rework, but since they aren’t, then I think they are too high in rarity and should be reduced to Very Rare.
  • The achievement will pop only if nobody escapes. Merciless doesn’t matter anymore, the devs just need to update the descriptions.

I think players are being sweatier because it’s an event and they enjoy screwing people out of BP.

The amount of keys is just really stupid. They shouldn’t have increased the chances for them when they changed the boxes, but it’s what Survivors think is fun and the devs will do anything to keep them from complaining.
  • A million BP for ONE perk is insane. You still have to rely on RNGesus to give you the perk in a bloodweb. The price needs to lowered to around 20-30k BP. If you already have the character who has the perk you want, then just level them up. It’ll be cheaper. If you don’t have the specific character, then you can buy them or the perk.
  • At this point initiating the hatch standoff as a Survivor should be classified as taking the game hostage until the devs rework the Hatch. The Killer’s objective to kill all of the Survivors and prevent them from escaping. The Survivor’s objective is to repair all five generators or jump in the Hatch and escape. By hitting the Survivor, the Killer is failing to complete part of his objective. On the other hand, the Survivor can easily go and complete their other objective (the gens), but they choose to stand at the Hatch instead of going to a gen when they know the Killer is at the Hatch.

If you don’t want to go that far, then just severely punish the Survivor for acting like they’re entitled to the Hatch. I was thinking about taking away Bloodpoints, shards, and Emblem points while they’re standing at the Hatch. Maybe their item could start deteriorating until it’s gone.
  • Nickenzie said:

Something else that would help with the grind is that we can buy the perk we want but at a higher price. You wouldn't be able to use Auric Cells to buy them so it wouldn't be pay to win, only BP and shards. This would help solve the problem of having to fight the RNG for that one perk you really want.

We do have this already, the shrine of secrets but I wouldn't mind to have more perks to choose from.
Right, but the Shrine is also completely random (maybe not when it comes to BBQ) and it doesn’t include general perks. You still have to rely on RNG to get the perk that you want on a specific Killer. Like if I want Sloppy Butcher on Hag, I have to hope that the RNG decides to favor me. Otherwise, I could be stuck getting every other perk but Sloppy until the bloodweb is forced to give it to me. Being able to directly buy a perk would prevent me from having to deal with that. The purchased perk would most likely be at tier 3 so you don’t have to continue relying on RNG for the other two tiers.

That's when you join the zappy boi cult. Their flashlights can do nothing against Madness 3. I remember the first time I put a Survivor who had a flashlight in Madness 3 so well. They had dropped a pallet and turned around so they could blind me while I was breaking a pallet only to have their flashlight not work. It was glorious.

This event has been [BAD WORD] balls for me.

Had it 4 times so far and every [BAD WORD] time you cant hook them because they all run downstairs and the hatch spawns there but interestingly the basement never does.

Just another bonus for survivors I guess. Free wins. To go along with their purple keys they're pulling out of chests.

    [BAD WORD] garbage game.

Springwood is a good map because Survivors have fun on it. ######### Killers. They were lucky to get the nerfs to healing and Exhaustion. Same with the increased amount of keys. Survivors think it's fun. Killers should consider themselves extremely lucky that their boxes were also updated.

  • Was the Hatch nearby? If it wasn't, then you could've picked her up, taken the DS, and downed her again. But if it was nearby, then it's just another example of how ######### the Hatch is. I am shocked that such a ######### mechanic has been in the game for over two years now.

  • It's fine because you can just go do a gen. You're not entitled to the Hatch.

  • This needs to happen, but I don’t think that Survivors will let it because they need to show us how good they are. If something like this is implemented, then it could also lead to a possible hatch fix.
