The thing is, Bubba is also adapted well to the current meta, even better than Billy is.
Ranged killers are also pretty good against holding W.
Billy isn't the only killer with a lot of mobility, nor is he the only one with an insta down (he's not the strongest killer with an instant down either)
My point is, Billy can be good, and I think he still is a pretty decent killer, but he will never be the best at anything. (btw I respect you for still maining Billy. I just find him so frustrating to play after overheat was introduced and all of his addons got replaced with gimmicky trash. Glad to see he still has his players.)

As for maining Nemesis, I can't really give any tips, but if Dead Man's Switch survives the next update then it could be worth investing in Deathslinger.
Priositise buying Bubba + Nemesis over the rest though, and save Artist for last. She's the most recent DLC so won't go on sale, or will go on less of a sale, than the rest when the Ringu chapter releases, so she'd be the original one to save the shards for. Doctor + Hag will be cheapest, alongside maybe Leg and Plague and Clown, but Clown onwards was when they began to increase the price of DLCs so idk.
Edit: Alternatively, if you have the funds to spare, just get the Killer Pack DLC + Bubba + Nemesis. Means you won't have to worry since the only licenced killer who's perks are worth a damn outside of Bubba is Mikey
So should I wait until the Ringu chapter to buy anyone?

I mean, you'll be taking longer than one minute usually as an M1 Killer if the Survivors aren't drooling out the side of their head.
You can mindgame tiles for hits and get rid of pallets during that time, which will help you in the long run. Plus, chases usually don't last one minute if you know how to play around common tiles, and even if the survivor is really good you should be dropping chase before a whole minute has passed anyway.
Also, I run bamboozle in my main build on Legion. Which I know doesn't really matter if we're talking about the basekits of killers, but I'm just saying it's possible to make Legion more manageable.

Uncounterable downs in about a minute seems a lot better than taking years for a single down.
It is the best thing they can do, but they're still weak with this.
one minute is an eternity in dbd.
I'll take my duration addons and just use m1 killer gameplay to get downs, thank you very much.

Both of these are so painfully wrong that it hurts.
Myers is better than Ghostface ever was, and Ghostface has far more problems than cooldowns.
Ghostface is very weak. Period, and he doesn't even have any addons to make him any stronger. I thought we were done with the belief of "Ghostface is an upgraded version of Myers." a year ago. His weakness is that he doesn't do anything with his power.
Legion is very weak. Period. Even with their best addon combination, which is Frank's Mix Tape and Stab Wounds Study, they are still awful. They're even worse now, since Circle of Healing doesn't even allow them to keep people injured for what is essentially permanent Exposed.
Myers is pretty weak without addons, and he becomes far better when running certain addons. Still not great, but far better than anything that the other two can do.
lol.
-
That would have been so clean if it worked out, but I'm sure you'll be able to get it in the future! (unless they patched it out)

The weakest Killer, just going off of basekit, is Ghostface or Legion. Both are near worthless.
The only weakness that Ghostface has with his basekit is the cooldown, and even then it's better now than it once was. Addons do help a lot though.
I agree that Legion is very weak without addons, though.

While we're at it let's bring back old Death Throes Compilation for Trickster and make it basekit and have no addons to deal with its weaknesses
-
I've been trying out new killers that I'm not too experienced with recently (Trickster and Oni) and for Oni it was smooth sailing until I hit the higher mmr and got stomped again and again and again by SEAL teams
However for Trickster, I ran into some drunk late night gamers who tried to be a bully squad by teabagging and flashlight clicking in the open while I had 3 stacks of Devour Hope (okay, only one of them did that, but they were clearly an SWF, and they tried to bully me but ended up losing)
-
I sometimes use the green mask on Oni, makes him look like a lil' goblin
or rather a particularly massive goblin
-
Agreed, hooks are for simpletons. My main build consists of Knock out, occasionally I will run Knock Out. However, if I'm feeling crazy, I will run Knock Out. I don't really run Knock Out too much, though. It's not really my kind of perk. That being said, Knock Out is a staple in my build.

it's a good way of learning from any mistakes you make and might help you in your path to mastery
Also these threads are really refreshing! I like this kinda stuff
I'll start doing that!
I'm trying to decide if I should embrace Bubba or return to Oni at the moment, maybe I'll main them both? I'm still undecided.

Oni is more fun IMO but harder to master
Spirit is stronger and comes with better perks

Not a bug. They removed Steve, Demogorgon, and Nancy from the game unless you already own them. You can't by cosmetics for them, and their perks are now general perks.
They also removed Hawkins.

Me neither, Oni is fun but I've sworn an oath to only play him so I think playing you-know-who perkless for 10 games will be refreshing

Oh, they're well away the CoH nerf does nothing. The whole point was to make it LOOK big (A whole 25% sounds like allot!) but ensure it did nothing to weaken CoH.
This way, Survivors could claim 'The devs majorly nerfed CoH by 25%! Killers need to stop complaining!' while full knowing it was only 4 seconds of nerf, and in no way affected the perk's usability. This way, they could continue to enjoy a broken perk while telling Killers to stop being upset about it.

I haven't played DbD in a long while now, but I don't think Oni has been changed since that time. Are you holding down the button to attack, or are you doing it quickly? You only have to hold the button down until Oni's hands flash red, and then you can instadown. Holding it definitely makes it harder to control.
I don't hold it. Also, this problem actually mostly applies to dashes, sorry for not clarifying

- The fandom of cringey children.
- DBD is a collection of some of the greatest horror icons there are, FNAF is cheap jumpscare youtuber-bait which only got popular because of a bunch of people with no personality overreacting and shrieking at anything that happened on the screen. To include it alongside real horror is disrespectful.
- Obtaining the license would be giving money to someone who supports homophobia.
- Every single skin would basically just be furries.
I agree with the third one, but the other 3 are WAY off the mark lmao
-This is DBD we are talking about, the children wouldn't stay for long (not because it's scary, just because kids are impatient) . And the majority of the community isn't really like that anyway.
-It's kind of useless "real horror" or not. Someone could easily just say Saw isn't horror at all and you're just looking at people being tortured for over an hour. Yes, horror is supposed to be scary, but that's not the sole factor that determines if a piece of horror media is good or not. Scream is regarded as one of the best horror movies of all time, yet it's not nearly as scary as Halloween or TCM. Even if jumpscares get stale after a while, FNAF does its job well thanks to good sound design and tension that keeps the player unsettled. I completely understand why some people get scared by it, even if I don't really myself. It also has some deep lore, so I think slapping the label of "Youtuber-Bait" is lazy.
-I just found #4 funny tbh
-
Controversy with the creator of FNAF, and perhaps people hate the idea of a potential game theory video about how Springtrap's inclusion in Dbd solves the FNAF lore or something like that

Very cool. Oni is also one of the killers that I actually want to git gud with. I ... well, decent enough, but he has a high skill ceiling. Hitting with his Demon Dash is hard! But if you get the hang of it, its utterly devastating. And there is a tome challenge that asks you to hit someone with your Demon Dash after 10s of charging... Right now I'm not seeing myself ever getting that one 😅
Infectious Fright is one of the best perks on him, but a hitten gem (is it?) is also Lethal Pursuer. Knowing where to turn too to get the ball rolling asap helps sooo much. And I always got very good value out of Spies in the Shadow. I can't count how often I heared a raven going off in my back, where I found a sneaky survivor. Or just behind a wall to your side, that you didn't pay any attention to. Oni can make good use of all this info perks and start chasing.
Everyone knows how hard Oni can snowball, but sometimes its good enough to just end a chase with one swing, hook and be on the road again within 20s or so.
I am actually running Lethal Pursuer on him right now!
My build right now is Infectious, Lethal Pursuer, Deerstalker, and Eruption. I will replace Eruption with Pop and Deerstalker with Nurses' calling or BBQ once I get those.

The box can't be accidentally opened. According to the films you have to open it with desire. In the second film it was
Channard's desire that Cenobites were drawn to, which is why Tiffany didn't get hooked when she opened it.
Which survivor could be the kind of person seeking extreme unworldly pleasures? Dwight doesn't seem a good fit.
what if it was a killer?

It's absolutely INTENDED to be, but it's not really once you play a decent amount.
Although, playing survivor against Ghostface genuinely scares me at times.

and THAT is the handicap you all need to overcome! Once you count them the same you will enjoy the game so much more! Once you realize 1=1.

Encouraging positivity is toxic? I even recorded a video of OVER 50 end game chats that proves most games players don't even say anything...
That means NOTHING.
that is based off of YOUR experience, over a small sample size.
Let's say a match takes around 10 minutes. 50 matches would give you around 8 hours and 20 minutes of gameplay that you are making this incredibly massive generalization off of.
How dare you say that the game as a whole, that has millions of players, hundreds of thousands of them having upwards of 1000 hours put into this game, isn't toxic based off the results of only 50 matches?
And your advice when people are toxic is to just "be happy"? That's really not how it works. It's actually pretty hard to ignore someone who WANTS your attention and WANTS you to feel bad. It's not such a problem if you don't play a ton, but it really does add up over time, especially over a single long play session.

I love having these kinds of discussions about killers that don't start with someone going on a long, nonsensical rant.
Alas, if only there were some dedicated Spirit main, who is passionate about posting and talking about her, to help us all out here.

Well based on the trailer, it was Dwight accidentally opening it while fumbling for his glasses. 🤷♂️
The only reason I don't 100% think it's Dwight is because that happened within a trial, so pinhead could have just teleported to him.
Although, It'd be funny if someone like Bubba just walked in on Pinhead.
-
Yeah, rpd is a hard time for me, even if I play someone like, say, Spirit.
Any advice for handling some of the loops there as her?
-
Should you succeed, I will put all of the killers except my beloved Legion into a wheel spinner thingamagig and will dedicate myself to maining the killer it lands on, no matter what, in addition to what you already said.

Steve Harrington because he is the KING
-
I like Oni although I am the worst Oni player worldwide...I am not kidding
Pinhead is a demon to some, but an angel to me (I've quoted Hellraiser way too much sense I started maining him)
And I also like Legion a lot, specifically Joey
And Spirit, but I'm just saying that so GannMan doesn't sneak into my home and and steal my liver
-
He is! Unfortunately, survivors never want to hang out in the basement with me. I even made petite sandwiches once, but they just ignore me.

I’m sorry but truly Pig is a real disappointment of a killer. Truly one of the killers where no matter how much you learn her you’ll loose.
There are no killers that can't win, only killers that need more effort and need to played in a certain way to do well.
Then again, I have yet to be fully immersed in the dbd mmr experience.
