Survivor's can block windows and spawn pallets. Both sides got enough bs to cancel eachother out imo
Except it doesn't cancel each other out, since these usually happen one or the other, not at the same time. Both sides just end up being irritated.

Try him on an indoor map and see how that works out.
I've yet to have a game against Larry that I haven't escaped from.
Compare how many indoor maps there are to how many outdoor maps there are. It's about 5 indoor, and about 30 outdoor.
He has far more dominant maps than weak maps, and the variation of his strength is a massive problem that makes me not want to ever play him in general. I'm not playing a Killer that can either have a 3-minute-long match due to getting every chase handed to me for free or have 2 hooks by the last generator being done because nothing on the map wants to work with me.
-
Dragon Ball Z: Dokkan Battle as a DBD chapter. Weird combo, but okay. Probably just gonna go with the whole series itself instead of anything from Dokkan itself.
Killer is First Form Cell, no questions asked. He's easily the most menacing of any Dragon Ball villain, in my opinion. Maybe he'd have a power that sort of represents his abilities and powerups in Dragon Ball: The Breakers. Maybe he could choose to hook someone or absorb their energy to power up further but allow them to live longer.
For the Survivor, it becomes a little bit more difficult to justify, and might be tough to have a pairing with the Killer that makes sense. You can't just have the Survivor be Goku and call it a day. I'd probably go with Videl, since she's still a relevant character but doesn't have as much power as most of the other Z-Fighters to make it justifiable. Also, she's married to the person who killed Cell in the show, so it's somewhat thematic.
The map is easily the toughest to choose, though I'd probably go with the route that Dragon Ball: The Breakers took, where they combine a few DBZ locations together into one area (but it'd be on a much smaller scale since maps in The Breakers are massive). You could have a part of Gingertown, the place where Cell absorbed all of those civilians before being confronted by Piccolo, be sitting right next to the Cell Games Arena, for example. Maybe you could even see Korin's Tower in the background.

I think I would use an offering for Borgo instead. The map is wide open and palette makes Myers stick out like a sore thumb, especially when using the gown.
Overall, very fun thread for memers. Too bad they took away burger king Myers. Rip, sweet friend, gone but never forgotten.
I debated on Borgo for sure, but I feel like Garden and Eyrie are just a tad bit more miserable. Borgo's overall tiles are ever so slightly worse than these two maps. The main building for Borgo is also just a bit less safe compared to the other two maps. Eyrie's pure yellow color scheme also makes Myers stand out even more than Borgo's more muddy browns and reds.
Burger King Myers was a really funny build, but I see why they got rid of it.

If you have her and the addon necessary, Hag with Scarred Hand. If you NEED to put two addons, then slap Rusty Shackles on top of that to make the second spot extremely useless.
Then, Red Forest offering. You only have 10 traps, can't teleport, and you're a 110 killer on the biggest open map of the game. =)
Then, the build :
- Distressing : make your TR bigger so that people hear you coming
- Deerstalker : wouldn't want to not see the survivors you won't down !
- Hoarder : I just think your idea is neat, so I'm stealing it
- Stridor : hearing them better won't make you catch em faster !
I would have put Insidious, because standing still is not exactly what you need when you can't teleport, but it'd be too easy to camp with her if she does end up catching someone.
It's probably not the worst killer build as a whole, and people who are good with Scarred Hand might make it work somehow, but it's definitely gonna be a ride.
Fantastic build. I gotta try this when I can. This'll be one of the only times I play Hag, and it will be glorious. My one change I would make is swapping out that second addon and specifically using the green addon to increase trap trigger distance. This makes your traps overall even less effective, as the blockade from Scarred Hand stays up for less due to how easy it is to trigger these traps.
@AbsolutGrndZer0 said:
That's not a bad build for your idea, for sure. I find its a lot harder to come up with a perk combo to actively hinder the killer like it is for survivors (if you want to really troll a streamer doing "pick my build" you can't do worse than No Mither, For the People, Solidarity, and Self-Care) but you seem to have some good ideas.
Yeah, due to the nature of Killers being more individually unique than Survivors, I feel like the worst Survivor build has been set in stone for a while because No Mither is kind of like the Survivor equivalent of Burger King Myers. It's really bad.
@xfireturtlex said:
We cannot overlook the fact that no matter how terrible the build is, scratched mirror Myers is the most fun you can ever have with a killer. I would play him all the time if addons weren't so stingy
While I personally do not love Scratched Mirror Myers, primarily due to the maps used being fairly stale for me. I get the appeal, but normal Scratched Mirror just isn't for me.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

He’s great at tunneling if you don’t give somebody the chance to cleanse, not to mention to you hit the unhooker and the unhooked with a single dash and instantly eat their BT/DH.
his infection is built in slowdown AND instadown if left unchecked.
he is great in chase. There are many tiles his dash shuts down and you can’t hold w too well against a good wesker.
Yes, he's good at it, but he's not the best tunneler or camper still. Pyramid Head, Huntress, Nurse, Blight and Spirit all camp and tunnel better than him, and that's taking into account his Hindered effect when fully infected, since it requires some time to build up after an unhook. Pyramid Head can do exactly what you've described with BT/DH and also can remove the ability to flashlight save, bodyblock the hook, or even use Off The Record if he has even the slightest bit of intelligence.
His infection is built in slowdown, it's just not a very good one. It's about as long to deal with as Legion's but a lot harder to inflict. Nobody is going to let you instadown them with full infection, because his dash is quite finnicky on a lot of tiles, mostly because of the windup for his power. There are many times where I've dashed and clipped the very edge of the wall when I feel like I shouldn't have and had a down or hit stolen from me. Also, if you miss your second dash in the open, you're losing a ton of distance.
Sorry, but he's not top 5 and there's no convincing me.

You’re trippin thinking wesker isn’t close to top 5.
No, I'm really not. He's not a monster in any category, he's just pretty solid at everything. He's not the best tunneler, he's not the best chaser, he's not the best at map mobility, he's not the best at dealing with bodyblockers, he's just ok in all of these regards. He has one of the most well-designed sets of addons, but that's all I can say he's the best at.
-
Wesker is not top 5. Not even close. He is fairly good, but not top 5 by any means. My top 5 looks something like:
1) Nurse
2) Blight
3) Spirit
4) Artist
5) Here, it's kind of a tossup for me between Huntress and Oni, though I'm personally more inclined to go with Huntress due to more and more people catching on about Oni's awful early game and using that to their advantage.
I might actually consider swapping my placements for Blight and Nurse. If Nurse doesn't get good addons to replace range and recharge, I think an Alchemist Ring, C33 Blight will be overall just a tiny bit better. Blight already destroys Nurse in terms of map traversal, and with these addons, I think Blight's chase might be just a bit better than Nurse's, I'll be honest.
-
It's better than the original version of the map and there is no arguing that.
-
I actually like the way that they changed it. Balancing repair speed boosts is so problematic that I'm glad they scrapped that altogether, but I think the numbers need to be even bigger. They should at least match Leader, at a 25% boost.
-
Blast Mine definitely shouldn't have had this change. I hope they rethink this.
-
I find Wesker to be the most fun Killer to go against, honestly. His basekit is strong, but has fair and fun counterplay, and he also doesn't have ridiculously strong addons that severely lower that counterplay (which is what Blight suffers from).
-
@Elan said:
What about crow mama? She's so unique and strong.
She is terribly designed. Super easy to play and way too oppressive in chase and out of chase without needing to commit to basically anything.
-
Dredge has solid anti-loop. It's not on the same level as Nemesis or Artist, but Dredge does have something for it.
-
Honestly, just making it not be affected by any healing speed modifiers is a good enough solution. Your idea is just too complicated for a Survivor addon, I feel like. The whole charge thing is really not a problem with this addon and more like a problem with medkits and their other addons a whole.
-
Plot Twist: You can go in a locker to deny him of his mori.
-
I think the Legion buffs are nice, but not really influential enough to make them enough of a threat still, mainly due to map design.
Even Legion's best addon combination, Never-Sleep Pills with Mural Sketch, pales in comparison to the power of Survivors just pressing their W key (like, for real, Pyro mains would LOVE DBD).
I think Legion, even with those addons, is still at best a high C Tier.
However, they feel great to play now! They feel way less sluggish, and I have to thank BHVR for that.
-
Counterforce.
This perk ######### rocks solely because of this one time where I popped a Spirit's NOED in her face just before she hit me.

Badham's walls? Yeah, those were stupid, to be fair. I don't know why it took them so long for that.

Doors not spawning on Haddon fine.
Doors not spawning on Haddonfield?
They... haven't implemented breakable walls yet?

I think they're scrapping the extra blood pools.
If you still want to track with blood pools, you can run Bloodhound though.

His power is boring too I can't imagine how his mains can play him that much.
They enjoy playing the DBD equivalent of the Beggar's Bazooka from TF2.

Just give it a different effect already. Haste is such a difficult thing to balance as is. Maybe something like 20% vault speed instead would make it actually usable.
The boons we have currently are a very mixed bag in general, in all honesty.
Dark Theory is useless.
Shadow Step and Exponential are situational (inb4 people complain that Shadow Step doesn't let them use their BBQ or smth).
Circle of Healing was genuinely broken, and still is going to definitely be very good after the new nerf.

Not that it even matters..
What? I'm simply stating that killswitch was not what they did with the bloodlust experiment.
Bloodlust is a general Killer mechanic which applies to every Killer. Dead Hard is a Survivor Perk, not a basegame mechanic.
Realistically, the only reason they'd disable Dead Hard is if it somehow caused a crash, or something like that.
I'd love to see them prove us wrong and actually try it for a weekend, but I doubt it.
-
Anything that would make Sadako's Condemned even a slight threat would be appreciated.
-
@Kurri said:
Remember they killswitched bloodlust for a test
That was way before killswitch. Pretty sure the disabling of bloodlust was back before All-Kill even came out.
Killswitch was introduced during the PTB for Hour Of The Witch. Killswitch specifically has only been used for things that are in a significantly bugged state (Object of Obsession, Wake Up, Nurse, etc) or maps that are in the process of being reworked (the only case is Haddonfield).
-
Really fun to play on... as long as you're playing an actual Resident Evil game (barring the RE3 Remake because that's a disaster as well).
Really unfun to play on when you're playing the asymmetrical 1v4 horror game known as Dead by Daylight.

You have more and more competitors cropping up. Competitors who won’t make the same stupid mistakes- not balancing for the more faithful high leveled players and releasing updates riddled with bugs and sometimes game crashing oversights despite a literal testing period a month before release. Do you sense your end? I do.
I don’t want this game to end- I want you all to step up and do better. But you won’t unless given no alternative. Now, it seems, there are alternatives. Get your sht together BHVR, or lose your fan base. Hate and flame me all you want, but mark my words: it’s sink or swim now.
It's really hard to take you seriously when this is in comic sans.

Sigh... posts like these make me really sad.
I genuinely have so little to say other than... stop with the us VS them bullcrap.
Hey, how about we start trying to have the mindset of "this needs to be changed because it's poor game design" instead of "oh, we got something nerfed, nerf something for their side"?
Please?

While in Frenzy open Lockers 20% faster!!!
That actually gets me thinking. What if they add a Killer Instinct addon for Legion prior to your first hit? Something like:
- When in Feral Frenzy, Survivors within [x] (maybe 16) meters of you have their location revealed to you via Killer Instinct.
- This effect is disabled after you land a Feral Slash.
To be fair, they gave it to Spirit, and she doesn't see blood pools or scratch marks in phase just like Legion. Maybe they'll do it for Legion. It's a lot less useful, but hey, why not? We're going by BHVR's design philosophy of "give the same thing to anyone who's similar".
-
I'm still remembering all the awful experiences I had on Hawkins and I hope it doesn't return.
-
I wish Jeff got one.

Roadie. Can't believe what they did to him, both visually and gameplay-wise. He's a mess to play now, which sucks, since I really like his character.

Frank's and Stab Wounds is not peak Legion lol
Against Survivors who know how to loop a 115 M1 Killer who has absolutely no strength in chase? Yes, it is.
-
None of them will make Legion as strong as they currently can be right now with FMT SWS (Frank's Mix Tape and Stab Wounds Study), so it'll probably be an overall nerf to Legion.

People seem to forget about Ghostface, who has a total of 0 useful addons.

She's really just... not fun to play as. Something about her never feels satisfying.

It wouldn't really change a whole lot if they didn't lose any of their power, but yeah, it is pretty stupid.

I had a game where Survivors sent me to RPD and abused boons with Boil Over in the library. I was playing Freddy since I actually really enjoy Freddy for his visuals.

Yeah, Jake is probably THE most whitewashed character out of the entire survivor roster, if not, definitely Claudette
They also screwed up his skin color on the official merchandise with those stickers a while back. I'm baffled by them doing this multiple times and getting away with it. I figured they would've fixed this silently when they removed Bubba's Masks, but I guess not. Sad.

I really hope they fix Jake's so that it, y'know... actually fits his skin color.

It is a terrible comparison, i was just using it as an example to show what some people call fun.
You think 2 killers running you down isn't fun, i think 3 survs body blocking isn't fun.
I think 3 survivors body blocking is also not fun... Also of course you had to bring up us vs them.
There's a lot of stuff in this game that is not fun for both sides, which makes it a horribly-designed game as a whole.
-
@Barbarossa2020 said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2859698#Comment_2859698
Or 3 survivors body blocking 1 killer is the opposite of fun as well right?
Killers can attack... you're still able to deal damage to someone to sort of deal with it.
I do think that it is rough that most Killers can't recover from people taking hits, but this is a terrible comparison.
-
If we're talking about like... 2 different people playing at the exact same time, then that'd be really hard to balance and would lead to a lot of unfun moments for the Survivors.
And before you say "Oh, it's always about the Survivor fun, huh?", let me ask you to grow up. Game design should inherently be about making things fun, and stuff like having two 115% M1 Killers chasing one Survivor down is the exact opposite of that.
