I thought this would be a dog tier list, but I only see one dog on here

I heavily disagree and I'm sure many people can back me up when I say that this game is not that deep for you guys to keep saying this same thing every single time there's new characters in the PTB. Does it take only 1 match to find out a characters' potential? No, but you guys also try to stretch it as if any feedback is invalid as if it takes 2 years to figure out the truth. Its a casual party game with pretty binary gameplay, its not that deep to analyze. The meta is very transparent and the majority of the time people are actually accurate when ranking characters as they're still fresh.
Perfect example of people in PTB: Trickster is fun but just a weaker Plague. You can stomp babies and down people fast at hooks or short loops but that's it. Mid-tier at best and needs something else to make him viable
You guys: He just came out, you're not using him correctly so I'm sure this will change. Give it time, you can't accurately judge in such a short time
Also You guys 2 months later: Yeah he's pretty weak, mid tier at best. *Agrees with everything people said in the PTB within the first couple of days*
Again, I'm not saying that the people calling out immediately how bad Sadako is are wrong. I'm saying that it's the wrong thing to do, because the killer has been out for literally less than 24 hours.

Can she snuff boon totems? I believe Wraith has to uncloak for that even though he can kicky feet things while invisible.
she can kicky boons.

she can open lockers, break pallets, and damage gens while not manifested.

Now, I've been drinking water my whole life, so I could definitely take on any of these chumps without a problem.

You have some fine taste

I'm sure Joey's a sweetheart that's just been badly influenced by Frank. I could steer him back on the right path <3
Also Artist, because I'm interested to know where the hell she found crows in South America.

I wonder if those players are going to run shadowborn once they can no longer see the match from the inside of a clown bottle

Dang, I wish I could face a player with that much raw talent.

Sure, but only if as you insert it Oni comes out of the shadows and bonks you in the head with his stick, then retreats into the shadows as he reminds you that such things are against the entity's code of conduct.

The Chapter released timeline is like this, between 2 chapters is 13 weeks
Day 0: Chapter released
Week 1: hot fix
Week 3-4: PTB mid chapter
Week 6: Mid chapter
Week 7: hot fix
Week 10: PTB new chapter (we are here)
Week 13: New chapter released.
ok, thanks!
I can't wait to watch streamers play the PTB and form my opinions that I will instantly believe despite never playing the killer for myself
-
Wait, I thought it was just the chapter reveal and not the PTB.
(Wonderful art as always btw)

Hey, have you ever been hit on the head with a large piece of wood? Me neither. But it would probably break my neck. Big, heavy wood is a pretty deadly weapon indeed.

Doctor, because I've never met a non toxic doctor player and shocks/madness are annoying
Blight, because there are too many

Nemesis: Nemesis
Legion: Thana, Pop, Surge, Thrilling

Library is a very powerful area for survivors, just "not going" to it means giving yourself a big disadvantage.

no.
But i'd like if perk tiers got removed.

I'm proud of you for defending your basement and getting survivors to party with you.
Me, even if I bring a
sharcuderie charcuderie sharkudairy charcuteerrycharcuterie board and freshly baked bread the survivors just stay away. -
I don't think the game is really sided toward one side or another, but I do know that the game is sided against anyone who plays solo queue.

Because some of their influencers (aka killer main streamers) think that killer is "not the power role" for some reason and complain until the stream is over.
Whatever the streamer says guys.
That's why we see everyday threads like:
This streamer said that.
This streamer discovered the best build.
This streamer says swf is busted.
Or people can have their own opinions and just because theirs is different doesn't mean that they are sheep that instantly believe everything a streamer says?

He is a strong killer. You can get downs just by spamming your knives non stop. His anti loop is so strong. His main event is strong as well. So you dont need to practice to win as trickster
Don't spam knives, having to reload constantly like that hurts you. Anti-loop is only strong at non high-wall loops. Main Event's good but only if you get it in the right place at the right time.
Anyway, you want to make it so while looping, you have as much opportunity to pelt the survivor with knives as possible. Run loops in a way where you can see them as much as possible.
If you catch a survivor in the open or in a corner, use knives instead of an M1. The reason for this is because you can still hit the survivor with knives even while they have the speed boost from being injured.

RPD just shows what is wrong with this DBD-Community.
The DBD-Community basically: "I dont like this thing so I will complain endless about it until it is changed". Until just sucking it up that you will end up on a Map that you might not like.
I dont have a problem with RPD. Not my favorite Map, not even close, but when I play on it, I just play the match and move to the next match, without opening a Forum Post...
RPD is objectively a bad map. It's huge, narrow hallways make certain killers op and certain killers powerless, if survivors are downed in certain areas they are unable to be hooked, hooks in certain areas can be blocked off by the killer for guaranteed sacrifices. The map plays like a powerpoint presentation on console. None of the loops are fairly designed, they are either god loops or death traps.
The forum is designed for players to give the devs feedback about the game.
Now, the devs probably will ignore these posts because they don't offer constructive criticism on how EXACTLY to fix the map, but posts like this have the right kind of spirit...sort of.

anything involving the US VS. THEM mentality
-
I'm more worried about the poor Dwight that's now stuck there.
-
Here are my lukewarm takes:
- Mother-Daughter Ring does not need a nerf. In fact, other Iridescent addons should be brought up to its standard of strength.
- CoH is fine on its own and its only issues are the fundamental issues with boons themselves.
- DBD is literally a party game and needs to be treated as such by both the devs and the community.

- This game is too killer sided at its current state as killers have many perks that benefit them for no reason.
- SWF is fine and its the only thing that makes the game a bit challenging for killers (also the only survivor advantage)
Can you elaborate on #1? What perks are you referring to?
also, I wouldn't say SWF is the ONLY survivor advantage. Survivors have a lot of things going for them. Many survivor sided maps with spread out gens, access to powerful perks, and the ability to bring strong items.
-
Unfortunately SWF would make doing something like this impossible, but I do love Mandela Catalogue and analog horror in general.

Hawkins Lab could be cool, but I'd like to see the Starcourt Mall, it's more open and people don't like indoor maps. Maybe they could even include part of the parking lot to make it a true hybrid.
That is a creative and interesting Idea! For perks, I hope to see references to the original series, like the Demogorgon's effects on electricity. Cosmetics from the series would also be neat. I'm sure Scoops Ahoy Steve would be a very popular skin with the playerbase, and I know that personally I would wear it all the time. A skin from the episode where he goes into the tunnels with the bandana would also be cool.
I love the idea of Starcourt as a map. A hybrid map would be unique, and the map itself would be very nice looking and if done right, fair for both sides.
If Demogorgon were to be added, I'd like to see the upside down implemented into his kit somehow. Maybe he could transfer there by way of a portal and get certain advantages while there? But it may be difficult to actually make use of that in-game as you wouldn't get to interact with survivors much. I'm sure there's more interesting things that could be done to make a power that's both effective and true to the show.

You know, I think having the Demogorgon from the hit Netflix series Stranger Things would be pretty cool.
idk tho prob just me
With Demogorgon, I would also like to see Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler from the hit Netflix series Stranger Things come to the game. Maybe the character Johnathan Byers could also be a legendary skin, although that may just be wishful thinking. A Hawkins Laboratory map would also be interesting to see.
-
I can't tell you how many times I've had an endgame comeback snatched away by Adrenaline.
-
The Trickster head isn't good, but nowhere near unwearable. Plus, the skin is worth a buy for those new lobby animations and voicelines.
-
Getting facecamped is frustrating, but it's also an excuse to listen to one of the classics.

yeah too bad :) maybe learn to play to make up for the lack of a slow down perk? git good?
Ah yes, survivors doing gens on the other side of the map before I physically have enough time to walk over there is clearly only due to my lack of skill as a player.
The fact is that you're pretty much powerless if you don't have good slowdown at your disposal. Good survivors can do gens on the other side of the map from you, heal quickly, and last long in chases. Without perks like Pop and Ruin it's incredibly hard to keep up.
@UnluckyDucky said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2800796#Comment_2800796
and as a legion main, the entire kit is around slowing down the survivors with chases and mends. dont need a slow down perk to keep survivors off gens unless you havent learned to utilize legions abilities to their fullest.
Using Legion without slowdown is like eating cereal without milk. You can do it, but you could also be doing it so much better.
Most survivors know that healing against Legion is generally a bad idea, so while you get the short term slowdown of forcing the survivor to mend, later in the game you will struggle because survivors no longer worry about healing and get completely occupied by gens. And with CoH survivors CAN heal consistently without losing, which can be a real headache. Survivors also can delay the deep wound timer by running and can work on gens before they decide to mend.
So by itself, Legion doesn't have tons of effective slowdown. However...
-Thanataphobia punishes survivors for staying injured with its slowdown penalties
-Ruin makes gens lose progress as survivors heal
-Jolt works well on Legion as an m1 killer and can be combined with other perks to be extremely potent
Do you see what I mean? A super cracked killer main COULD win without slowdown perks, but slowdown perks enable you to be just as effective while still playing in a way you enjoy and not having to be godlike (but still not completely replacing skill)
