  • Good thread but one thing got my attention.

There are literally rank 20 survivors with 4 perks that are from different survivors. This means that they have at least more than 100 hours in this game but still rank 20.

    Some people enjoy bullying huh?

  • Nothing will ever prevent killers from camping.

The core issue is that chases are too stressful for some killers and they don't want to put up with it. The game experience improves for them when they get their first survivor on the hook because they are not in the chase anymore and start to chill beside the hooked survivor. Gen rushing and other ways to deal with this doesn't affect them at all. They already accepted defeat, and even if you gen rush them, they will accept the lose and do the same thing in the next match.

As long as they remain as average or below average killers, they will never stop camping. This is why they hate the new borrowed time since regardless of their will, chases will either start or they will get the unhooker and reset the camping. It means that with gen rush, all 4 can escape, the nightmare of all campers, not even being able to properly camp the survivor and get ridiculed.

  • I really love the way Claudette and Meg looks.

I also liked Jeff as well.

My favorite killers (lookwise) are the doc, clown and leatherface.

  • Nurse

    Spirit/Hillbilly
    Hag/Huntress

    Myers
    Clown
    Freddy
    Doctor
    Trapper
    Wraith

    Leatherface
    Pig

    This is my list.

  • This must be bait.

Looks like an SWF that should have gotten dodged.

This is why telling me to just play SWFs to get better doesn't really work.

Either they're high rank, or deranked, and they're communicating.

Aside from the astronomical survivor score, that's about the average outcome for me.

    @Rebel_Raven

What? The problem was the matchmaking, not that poor guy facing swfs.

But then they couldn't toss a diatribe against swf that they dodge because they want easy matches then right?

Like SWF participants don't want easy matches?
They get that practically by default.

I am pretty sure more than 90% swf groups just want to play the game with their friends.

They would still choose to do so if they were facing stronger killers like extra perk slots.

Stating that, people shouldn't get triggered when killers dodge SWF groups. They are naturally stronger.

  • Both perks are ######### and should be removed from the game to improve game experience.

@Vietfox has already said it. Even if you lose NOED, you actually gain something. Most of my Freddy matches don't even reach the end game because survivors assume that I have NOED and waste their time trying to find dull totems.

People can't realize it but DS has the potential to change the game as much as NOED. When you can't get that 1 down, and hook, you just can't start to snowball and lose the entire game. This is why people don't even pick up the DS guy even if they down him.
One is the best snowball breaking perk in the entire game. The other one is the best snowball creating perk in the game and they both should get their own nerfs.

The game would be better without these 2 perks. Both sides know how powerful these 2 perks are, both of them don't want to lose their strong perks.

I'm sure you have a valid point, but it's a bit hard to see under all the swearing. I promise I'm trying to be helpful not condescending when I say: I understand the frustration, but if you really want things to change instead of just getting banned, people are going to take you more seriously if you can communicate your suggestions with a bit less aggression and a bit more obeying of forum rules.

Same, I had to stop halfway through.

Also OP, with that tone, people are not gonna take you seriously. You could do better job with a normal post than this mess.

I get that BM is definitely a problem, but who in their right mind would wait FORTY FIVE MINUTES for a survivor to leave a match under those circumstances, rather than hitting them and forcing them out the gate? Honestly at that point, it's your own fault.

Survivors don't need to wait in the door area, they can simply hide in any location on any map.

As for the idea, I don't like it. Sometimes we stay in the game so that we can help our teammates who are on the hook or carry RBT timer. While staying in the game for no reason is a problem, timer is not a solution. I don't know what we can do though.

    Very true.

All these people talk like they want the game to be competitive e-sports level.

Yet they always defend their strategy of camping 1 guy out of the game then using NOED to clean up the rest.

    It's laughable.

I personally don't believe that the legion is supposed to get downs with his/her power. This is why I disagree with what most of people propose for the legion.

I think devs' intention was that the legion would go into frenzy mode, injure multiple people at once, and start to chase the last survivor. While he is chasing the last survivor, others will have enough time to mend and heal themselves and start to work on generators.

They most probably thought that the legion deserved 110% ms because getting hits and wasting people's time is really easy for him. They couldn't think that when a killer has 110% ms, it is so difficult to get hits that people actually don't even care to heal themselves up because the killer is not a threat.

This is why changing mending mechanics, allowing nurse's calling, having other additional stuff doesn't really mean anything. At this point, they should give him 115% ms and evaluate him accordingly. If the legion is proven to be really weak even after 115% ms, we can start to think about mending mechanics etc.

So what is the direct issue you may have with my suggestion? How do you feel it may negatively effect the game versus positively effect it?

He definitely needs 115% ms, we can all agree on that and I am sure he is gonna get that. The problem is that we don't know how he will be after his movement speed change. He will basically have NOED throughout the entire game. If the survivors decide to heal themselves, then he will save a lot of time and waste a lot of pallet.

Your suggestion is easily the best one in this forum but I think we have to see him having 115% ms. Him having 115% ms and + your suggestions might be overbuff.

Also if they give him 115% ms, that 3% ms debuff for the survivors shouldn't happen.

  • I personally don't believe that the legion is supposed to get downs with his/her power. This is why I disagree with what most of people propose for the legion.

  • I mean I don't have any problem with camping but as a killer I don't see any point to camp.

It is the most boring thing to do in the entire game, worse than repairing generators. At least generators give you skill checks here and there.

I don't understand why people care so much about 4k. A good chase is all that matters for me.

  • Meg and Claudette. They both look ######### so do I.

The ranking system in this game is extremely stupid and absolutely pointless.

Just drop it and let anyone play with anyone. You'll get some games with noobs, some with try hards but at least it will be a mix up and nobody will be accused of "depipping".

I challenge anyone to come up with one solid reason the ranking system is helpful/beneficial.

When I started to play the game, I couldn't understand why people didn't try to kobe. I also didn't understand hook phases, sometimes I would die the second I was hooked for the second time, sometimes it would take 3 hooks to kill me.

This is one solid reason I believe.

I'm pretty sure that they all come from Survivors and all demand killers play certain ways as I've never seen a rule from a killer.
In other words I don't see both sides agreeing here, and Killers don't particularly benefit.

Don't let people tell you how to play. Just don't use exploits, or bugs, and such.

    @Rebel_Raven
I've been told by killers what outfits i shouldn't use. P3 claudette for instance.

    Yeah, you are right.
There's some lighter bitching from the killer community. It happens, but it doesn't feel as common as survivors, nor as numerous in topics.

    I feel the same.

Bitching about game's balance is something that is special for killers.

Bitching about how a person should play the game is something that is special for survivors.

Don't get me wrong, both sides complain about balance and playstyle.

I am informed about League of Legends since I have been playing it for more than 7 years. Riot Games is trying all its champions that are more than 140 champions that are "competitive" through Reworks and buffs. Each patch is a world, the champions can change a lot and now with the 2019 pre-season some champions go up as they were hardly played, and that should be done by the developers of Dead byh Daylight, rework all the killers that are below the stronger: Nurse, billy, huntress etc ... Because I would like to play the trapper, pig, freddy but it is impossible because they are below the best. In the LOL it happens the same, the best champions are played, the others are not played .. why? Because it is not in the same measure as the strongest. But Riot, he worries and tries to balance them. Sry for my bad english.

on the other hand the DBD developers tell us to play with the best, that is a lack of respect ... I want to play with others, I do not want to desrank to face bad players and destroy them because that is not fun.

So how many of those 140 champions are actually viable at high rank competitive play? There's a hard pool of may'be 40-60 max champions give or take for all roles. So for someone that knows League you obviously missed that part.

OW the same thing, there's a reason why certain champs are always picked.

Any pvp game it's the same rule of thumb there's a certain group that gets picked everything else gets left in the dust.

While Riot tries to balance the game and every champion the simple truth is certain champs are just plain better.

The part you are missing is that LoL is a very very complicated game. You can't even compare the 2 with each other.

Hundreds of champions with hundreds of items. Each champ has a passive ability, 4 unique skills etc. etc.
DBD has 13 killers with 1 power. There are more than 50 perks but most of them are irrelevant. Having viable 50-60 different champs is quite a success for a game like LoL. DbD can't do the same thing with 13 killers that have 1 ability. Creating a killer takes 3 months, so they have enough time I believe.

Another problem is that 1 or 2 easy killers are more than enough for the low ranks. Leatherface, wraith, pig are already easy to use and don't require much skill from you. I don't understand adding another killer to the game that is for beginners. None of the games you mentioned try to create heroes or champs for the beginners or low ranks. Take LoL as an example, none of their new heroes is point and click like old ryze. They are reworking the old champs as well, making them more complicated like Urgot.

Whether you guys accept it or not, DbD devs have a problem with saying 'we are messed up, we know that and we are trying to fix this'. Even the most positive DbD streamers think that the new killer is ass. I just don't see any point to defend what they said

  • Yeah the same thing is happening to me as well. I watch streamers and they don't have the same problem so I assumed that I was the only one who was experiencing this.

@peanits @not_Queen are you aware of this problem? If so, are you working to fix the problem? It is actually so frustrating that keeps me from playing the game sometimes.

Deleting a perk doesn't make the game better.

I will be honest with you. Deleting a perk does make the game better.

The game would be much more fun if we didn't have DS and NOED.

I have a special kind of hatred for DS so I don't know what to think about this. I actually liked the idea since it adds more objectives and depth to the game but I have no idea if this is balanced.

This is why I loved locker changes as well. I don't think that BBQ was OP but at least having lockers around you actually means something. I will be more relieved when I am working on a generator near a locker now.

What killer is worse than a killer that can be deny picking up a survivor because another one is healing him under their nose?
What killer is worse than a killer that find a survivor breaking his totem and has to wait will the survivor break it in his face because he can't do anything about it?

Before the exhaustion changes, playing survivor was really easy. Some people can disagree with this but it is almost like a fact.
Back in the day, almost everybody was able to loop good enough to not be stealthy. Even if they made a mistake, they would get their sprint burst and go to the barn or something.
After the pallet vacuum removal, exhaustion nerfs, main building nerfs, window vault nerfs, loops become more and more dangerous and some survivors switch to the stealthy mode.
Freddy might be the best killer against stealth, even better than the doc. This is why he is not as terrible as he used to be. When you put the stealthy survivors to sleep, they start to waste too many pallets and don't leave anything for the good survivors. If he can also put other survivors to sleep and waste a good amount of pallets, there is not much thing to do against him.
This is why he is not as bad as people think he is.

    That wasn't the question.

    WHO is worse than freddy?

    Pig

    yea pig is ass

    I beg to differ.

Crouch most of the time doesn't accomplish anything. Survivors don't need to be even skillful to not get hit by her ambush. They just need to pay attention more.
Most of the time you spawn right next her boxes. It immediately reveals the killer.
Her RNG is just too unreliable, Freddy's dream world is much easier to accomplish and overall, wastes more time.
Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that you can't do well with the pig. I feel like she is the weakest killer compared with others. I am not sure leatherface's place too and personally I play with Freddy better than I do with leatherface and pig.
Tier lists are not definite anyway. It all comes down to personal preferences imo.

  • 3 perks and you all talk like every single survivor will use them in every single game.
Guess what happens if they all use these 3 'crutch' perks? They won't be able to use adrenaline, selfcare, borrowed time and DS. The arch nemesis perks of the forum killers.
Distortion is unbearably unreliable, you don't get to choose if the perk is gonna get activated or not. Freddy, some killers' aura reading perks and addons will quickly consume all the tokens. BBQ could be hard countered but it is already nerfed through locker changes. Instead of this perk, you should talk about that.
Aftercare seems very good on the paper but in reality, it is difficult to get stacks. This is why autodidact is not used much.
I don't see much problem with the breakdown. Instead of equipping that perk, just get a toolbox and sabo the hooks. It would be problematic if the effect was permanent but you guys are just creating a problem that doesn't exist. Still, I am not sure how much the hook stays sabotaged but if it is the same duration with normal sabotage, I don't really see anything.
Forum killers literally whine about every single thing that goes against their way. I mean every single one of them. I genuinely don't believe anybody takes you seriously.

    +1

So you guys are fine with Survivors being able to hook rush with no punishment?

I genuinely don't see any problem with it.
I almost always immediately leave the hook and patrol the gens. If they don't even allow me to leave the area, well I am gonna chase the survivor who has already been hooked. The only thing I need to do is to get 1 hit and he will either die or go to the second phase. Hook rush will still be punished.
I don't even remember the last time borrowed time getting triggered, not because people don't use it, but because I just hit the unhooker or leave the area.
I feel like it is gonna only effect killers who always try to tunnel or camp. Also it is not used that much often by every single survivor. Most of the time, in my survivor experience, people don't use borrowed time at all.

  • So far, the best solution is finding gas cans or mechanical parts. Something is needed for the early game that is for sure. Currently, killers are forced to use hex:ruin to create their own early games but it should have been a part of the game, not a perk.
Survivors starting to do their objectives right away is not manageable if you don't use billy or nurse. Even the best killers in the game prefer ruin for killers like huntress, hag and Myers.
When they introduce a good early game mechanic, they can nerf or even remove ruin from the game.
I think finding gas cans is a neat idea. It will be less boring and more exploration oriented at least.
Adding gens or increasing time to repair gens will just make the game more boring.

For both sides, game started to become more and more difficult and this is whether people accept it or not, a very positive thing. No more cheap wins.
Bullshit main buildings like barn or storehouse got nerfed to the ground. Those buildings required absolutely no skill, no mindgame chance for the killer and even no bloodlust for 110% ms killers for the most part. Tunneling doesn't require much skill, it is a tactic that is for sure but at least now survivors are gonna have something to say about it. More skill oriented, less bullshit.
Not to mention this is a perk. Most people are not gonna even bother using it.

Tunneling takes no skill? Yea just like looping. Going in circles for 4 times and dropping a pallet and moving to next loop spot is braindead too but survivors defend it with their lives because what other way do you have to survive?

Similarly tunneling down the one you already hooked is a guaranteed kill...it's braindead but the most economical for you as a killer. Similar to how no brain pallet looping is economical for a survivor to buy time for their team.

Looping used to not take much skill because windows were really safe and there were many looping spots that didn't allow killers to mindgame. Now the game changed and most of those spots are gone. Looping is not braindead easy anymore. Not to mention that killers have perks like bamboozle that instantly kills shack and jungle gyms.
Waiting in front of a survivor and then hitting him doesn't take any skill at all. At least, now survivors can say something about it by sacrificing one perk slot.

As a killer do you think the game is balanced? If not, which side is more favored?
Do you think that there are unfair plays? (I don't blame any sides for any actions but imo, getting tunneled for survivors, and getting gen rushed for killers are a little bit too much)
If you are not a virgin, how old were you when you lost your virginity?

  • Not good imo.

No self care, no bond. When you injure her, she is gonna have hard time. Insta heal seems good but a lot of survivors just waste it when they use it on themselves.

Sprint burst is not as good as it used to be. I would prefer sprint burst over balanced landing as a killer if I am not a wraith or pig.

Deliverance is overrated. There is not much difference between getting saved by somebody or kobe. It is very situational.

Unbreakable is good but again very situational. I pick up DS user just to be done with DS.

DS itself is already strong. There is not much thing to say.

    None.

I find killer addons very unfair. Except for brown addons, I don't use anything. Also, I don't like to depend on an addon since I will eventually run out of them.

I am curious if there is somebody like me. Am I the only crazy person here?

So then there must be a Common Add-on you like the most.

Not really, I don't even look at what they do.

If I have to pick, I would go with waterlogged shoe or mirror Myers only because they don't make me stronger. I wish the addon system was a little bit different and killer would not depend on addons.

I think if they go on with healing time change (from 12 to 16) Self Care would get nerfed enough. 32 (or 40 with Mangled) seconds to heal is a loooot of time.

I think it is gonna become 24 not 32 since it reduces healing speed by %50. I don't know how mangled affects (Baseline or cumulative?) but it will be around 28-30 with mangled.

    It is already 24.

I believe it is 18. If it is not, perk description is wrong and it should be stated that it reduces healing speed by %100.

Doing something at half the speed makes you require double the time. The description is right, you're just confusing speed with time.

Oh you are right, my bad.

Honestly, why even bother running Hex: Ruin? Just use No One Escapes Death.

It's more punishing than Hex:Ruin and not AS easily countered.

I mean, I'm the only one who cleanses totems and guess what props because nobody bothers having a secondary objective? Everyone else but me :(

But yeah nah, I never bother with Ruin. Not good enough.

Because NOED is the most boring killer perk in the game imo.

I don't want to win the game as a killer. I just want to play a game that doesn't last 3-4 mins even if I win.

    I would prefer 2k 10 min match over a 4k 3-4 min match.

Wow @Delfador thanks for @me , otherwise i would had missed all the dumb stuff from @MhhBurgers . He's my favourite pastime right now.

    LMAO Ikr

In the past, killers had legitimate problems like endless exhaustion and conversations with them were a lot better. Most of unbalance is wiped out but people still want buffs and nerfs and they complain too much that it is not funny anymore.

Forum mods have banned a couple of them to make the forum more serious, and right now, the forum feels a little bit boring. People try to find new ways to entertain themselves. I am glad you found your own LOL
