  • They are cosmetics and you don't need to buy them.

Most games don't even allow people to grind for cosmetics, cash only.

They released a killer that fulfills every survivor mains dream of how a match should go:
    He can't tunnel.
He has to constantly switch targets.
    He's easy to loop.
He gives them a good chase without any real danger.

    Survivors love him/her/it

    I wholeheartedly disagree with you.

He can easily tunnel and when he tunnels, there is literally nothing you can do.

He has to constantly switch targets but if he wants you in the end, he can actually hit others first and then tunnel you.

He is easy to loop if he doesn't use his power, most of them use their power and the chases are too boring since as a survivor there is literally nothing you can do.

Pallets and windows don't help you much, it is a matter of time before you going down. Your only hope is that your teammates finish the generators before you die. So, terrible chases with the very high chance of going down.

He is frustrating for both sides. I am sure that there are people who love playing as him and against him but at this moment, both survivors and killers are not happy with him.

survivors are just skins so that isn't even a thing. It's just perk balance.

Killers are a completely different beast.

Survivors' opinions should be taken into consideration since they will be the ones who will play against the new killer.

Look at the new killer for example, he chases you with his ass looking at you and get a down. It is a bad design and any survivor could see that.

I'm talking about new content BALANCE, a new survivor doesn't require testing outside of graphical issues. The perks do require testing.

Did you even read my post? lmfao

Before laughing, you should read carefully.

It is important to take what survivors think about the new killer into consideration. NEW CONTENT BALANCE after all, affects them too you know?

  • This is the first day, not everyday people will use the Legion.

Good luck with that build against a hag or a huntress.

There is no good build against a killer since it is just going to be random killers.

Huntress stronger than Myers? No way. Myers is way better than Huntress is. Only way Huntress is scary is if she has an iridescent head because of the broken hatchet hitboxes. Other than that she is easily loopable once out of hatchets.

Looping myers is a lot easier than huntress. He has constant 115% ms.

The only way you can loop huntress better than Myers is when the huntress is terrible.

If nothing, RNG decides whether you are gonna get hit by a huntress. She can pull out her hatchet at the pallet or continue to chase you. Myers is much more predictable.

All thoughout the ptb, I've heard nothing but how Legion is the worst killer next to Freddy. But I played Legion for the first time today and I seriously have never finished chases faster. The first hit is easier than normal to get cause of Frenzy, and then you just break chase and follow blood trail with bloodhound without initiating, and then they go down faster than it would take to get a 2nd hit with a normal killer.

There's 2 possibilities. Either no high rank player has discovered this strategy that was completely obvious to me. Or there's a counter to it that I have not run into yet. But all the discord servers I ask on seem unable to tell me what the counter is. I find it difficult to believe that I thought of something that top players couldn't figure out on their own. So what's the counter to Bloodhound Legion that I haven't run into yet?

There is none and this is one of the most important problems with this new killer.

You can be very unskilled killer against very good survivors but survivors don't have any chance to not go down against this killer. You will always get hooks no matter what.

On the other hand, this killer doesn't have any ability to punish survivors for their mistakes. For example, if you see 3 injured survivors near each other as Nurse or huntress, the game is pretty much over. This new killer has 110% ms and even if the survivors make these kind of mistakes, he doesn't have the ability to slug end the game etc.

While there is no way to not go down against this killer, you can counter him by simply splitting up and gen rushing. He will get his hooks but he won't be able to end the game properly at least against good survivors.

  • It is allowed and completely okay, personally I would rather hit them but you can't blame killers for doing that.

  • I know it is kinda irrelevant but did they fix the clipping that was occuring with one of the cosmetics Feng had?

" a bunch of stuff that was wrong"

You are straight up using him wrong.

Oh I love this part. Please enlighten me on the correct way to use Legion.

It's easy. Go to where survivors are, freny, hit them, when you are on the last person, hit him twice, stun out of frenzy.

then, you let them leave. Count to 3, the chase ends, they bleed out FAST, you follow the blood, try not to start chase to soon, pop frenzy, get hook

Or they run to a pallet and start mending and laugh at you while you can't do anything. I mean sure, you can just sit there and wait for your power to come back, but that only further supports my "least fun killer in the game" debate. You get an unavoidable hit, sit there, and get another unavoidable hit. That is just awful design, I don't care how effective or ineffective it is.

Your power comes back fast, you only need 1-2 seconds to smack them and down them. If they are by a pallet it's a free down.

I'll record a video tonight and post it for you.

Everybody can record a video of himself doing good with ANY killer. Monto has a 3k video with burger king myers (tier 1 myers with 100% ms and no increased lunge) in a 3v1 match where survs didn't do any gens and a 4k video right after

Then watch my stream and watch me pip about every game with him?
That wasn't my point, my point was to record a video showing how to do what I'm saying to do. AKA, a guide.

Pretty much the best killers of this community say he's trash but here you are showing us a guide on a straightforward character that you think nobody figured out. Breaking the [BAD WORD] chase so the timer ticks down is an obvious choice esp since mending doesn't stop the timer anymore unless they're at 99%, he still sucks even with that tactic which basically guarantees you down somebody.

They call killers bad while 4king with them.

    Some even call hag bad.

Get your own opinion. Hey, letting the chase break might seem obvious, but considering the OP didn't mention it, maybe you should chill out.

The other option is to follow a survivor backwards and just cheese the chase mechanics of the game until they either bleed out or get to low enough bleedout to be hit by an unavoidable frenzy hit. This is painful and unfun for the survivor and the killer.

He did mention it, you don't read it carefully.

  • I feel the same.

People usually don't like either playing as or playing against a killer.

The legion is very weak and very annoying at the same time. I am gonna say this again, even if you are a great survivor, if a legion wants you dead, there is almost nothing you can do.

This new killer doesn't need buffs or nerfs tbh, he needs complete rework.

  • @SmokePotion said:
just want to say I literally got a 4k with him since i last posted, doing this.

I agree with your point about Object of Obsession. Survivors in lockers shouldn't be able to read the aura of others, at least of killers. It gives them an unfair advantage, and I believe it was unintended.

  • Yeah the game looks fcking awesome. Swamp started to become one of the favorite maps in the game.

    I love the last changes.

  • The skin you get is not really important. I have 2 of these jackets and honestly I don't even know which one is original.

    Old school leather jacket
In the shadow of death shirt

  • These things were happening anyway? It is not related to dlc why do you guys try to bind these 2 together?

  • Everybody talks about how survivors defend him but survivors are as unhappy as you are. Just play against him, you will understand it better.

  • @thesuicidefox said:
I think the problem is that his power is basically useless against injured survivors. Maybe if Deep Wounds applied with half the bar to injured survivors it would be better. Obviously there are other problems but that would help him a lot.

The problem is not that. From a survivor's point, there is literally nothing you can do against this killer. He ignores game's mechanics.

Nurse does the same thing but at least you can lose her or at the very least, she takes skill to use so not everybody plays her.

OP has clearly explained everything, you can be the best survivor in the game but there is not much thing you can do to not go down. His power is not even strong anyway, it is just annoying for the survivors.

Also an addon does what you want the legion to do which is completely broken. I think it was Frank's mixtape or something.

That's too frustrating. Legion get their first hit on multiple survivors quite easy. And then they only need to hit you once to down you. One mistake and you are gone. It probably felt like pig with perma exposed on them or something like that.
And about omega blink Nurse. Everybody knows that this AddOn combo is too strong. And the devs will most likely nerf it, when Nurse gets an AddOn rework with UR etc. one day.

I rather play against 115% ms legion than playing against base nurse tbh.

Insta chainsaws, inta hatchets, third blinks, omegablinks vs 115% ms.

I think one way or another they will give him 115% ms though. I still didn't lose my hope.

  • My experience is more or less the same with yours.

I guess it is related to the way you play as well. If survivors think that you played the game without camping and tunneling, they don't say anything even if they had a nightmarish game (Not true all the time, I have been insulted because I use a 'crutch' killer like the clown).

Also, people's definition of toxicity is vastly different from others. I have had that discussion just 2 days ago. Some people think that tbagging or the insults after the game doesn't change the gameplay so they are not toxic, only camping and tunneling which make survivors' game unfun is, some people think that toxicity only occurs after the game in post game chat, some people think that tbags and flashlight clicks are toxic. Hell I have even seen people calling p3 claudettes and the survivors who wear colorful clothes toxic.

So for the people who want to see toxicity in this game, there is no shortage of being a toxic player. You won't be able to convince people that the community is not as toxic as people make it out to be but I agree with you.

  • I mean what can people talk about in general discussions other than these topics?

How beautiful Ironworks of misery is? The lack of decoration of the houses in haddonfield? Trump's hair?

  • I generally hate people saying things like this thread is bait, he is lying etc etc. but even I believe you are bullshitting for the most part.

    Definitely not true.

You can loop Myers just like any other killer, except for small bonus vault speed that he gains when he reaches evil within 3, there is not much difference between him and the rest of the m1 crew. He is just superior to all of other m1 killers.

Huntress has much more potential than Myers and in the right hands she is more deadly.

I just had a game with her at base she's pretty solid. I take back all the times I called her weak

Well yeah, She's pretty strong, although not the strongest killer, definitely not better than Myers tbh.

There is a streamer called ZubatLEL and I highly recommend you to watch him. You will understand what I meant by potential.

  • I might be wrong but according to current system, to get all of the survivor perks for a single survivor, you have to earn 13 million bloodpoints to unlock every survivors' teachables and after that aproximately 6-7 mil bloodpoints to unlock them for one of your survivors.

Survivors are just skins so you don't need to get them for all of your them. However, killers are unique and you need to get perks for everyone.

Players should be able to get 2 perks in a bloodweb. In that way the grind would at least cut in half and even more since it is easier to get perks in early bloodwebs. Altering bloodwebs and the amount of bloodpoint is a bad idea because there would be an addon, offering imbalance.

  • The difference between good killers and average killers is slugging.

While average and below average killers resort to camping and tunneling, good killers choose slugging. Unlimited amount of unbreakable would literally kill slugging killers. One chance is already strong, multiple chances would be too much. I don't think this perk needs a buff.

Well the only have an "average" and "huge" size for the killer's right now. Maybe if they will ever do a Killer, which is technical small, they could go third person with them.
Btw Third-Person for Killers gives them the disadvantage in a chase judging when they hit. Their body is most likely blocking their view. That's why I'm quite fine with the current setup. A small Killer on the other hand might not have that issue...

Current first person view is the causation of looping, not bigger hitboxes as people claim. Having third person in itself is a really good power and would come in handy more than half of killer powers in the game.

But you are right, killers like clown, trapper huntress and nurse would be negatively affected.

If I cleansed 3 totems and one teammate left out, is there anything he can do?

Will the killer know which survivors have been affected by exposed status? Not knowing puts killer in a disadvantage.

If I haven't cleansed a totem but after getting exposed, I decided to cleanse one. What will be the outcome?

One thing I love about this idea, just like blight event, survivors will try to find dull totems before they start to do generators which is very cool and time consuming.

If I cleansed 3 totems and one teammate left out, is there anything he can do?

No, you basically screwed over the survivor who can't cleanse a totem to save themselves. However, at least they will know they didn't and will need to be cautious at the end game. Will the killer know which survivors have been affected by exposed status? Not knowing puts killer in a disadvantage.

The killer will NOT know who is exposed but not knowing shouldn't hurt the killer too much anyways since the exposed survivors will likely be hiding. Exposed doesn't mean anything if the killer isn't there to make it mean something. If I haven't cleansed a totem but after getting exposed, I decided to cleanse one. What will be the outcome?

You're exposed for the "remainder of the trial" I think this is fair because you couldn't cleanse a totem. If you couldn't then at least you know that you're exposed and will need to be careful.

I'll make some changes to the perk if you have some good reasoning behind it. :)

No I think the change is cool, the only thing that we can add is increasing totems to 10 and make every survivor cleanse two totems instead of one. Would waste more time but not much. We can actually give more bloodpoints per totem to increase competition among survivors.

I don't think Devs are gonna change the perk though but you never know.

  • @Peanits said:
I'll be honest, I don't really think NOED needs a change. It's fine as is. Sure, it's powerful, but it also has counterplay. If the survivors only focus on generators and do not break totems, they're probably going to have issues with it. But if you take a little bit of time to cleanse totems as you see them, you can cause the perk to never activate in the first place. It's totally within your power as is to make sure it does nothing, effectively removing a perk slot from the killer.

I do like the idea of having to earn DS, but I would probably want to see something other that altruistic actions as the requirement. Unhooks are already a requirement for deliverance, so having the two share the same requirement would probably make it too easy to get second chance (you'd basically get two second chances at once). Although that would also get rid of the possibility to eat the DS early and get it out of the way, so I'm torn.

What might be interesting is for the perk to activate once you've been unhooked and stay active for the next two minutes or so, so if the killer decides to tunnel you, you have a second chance. Still only usable once per match, but you can choose to use it after the first unhook or second. It would encourage the killer to go for someone else rather than tunneling you off the hook.

This is actually a very cool idea. Is this the new version of it?

    I actually loved this one.

  • @Nickenzie I liked your idea but I have a couple of questions.

It is not doing all 5 totems on your own.

It is knowing not whether totems are being done or not. This is why @Nickenzie differentiated swf from solos.

As a solo survivor, I might be wasting my time since you cleared all of totems. On the other hand, If I don't look for them, there is a NOED potential.

I stated this in another thread, there are no other perks like NOED and DS that create great momentum or kill it. Both of them deserves a rework.

I am not actively wanting NOED and DS to be removed from the game. I just own it and keep going on my way. It is just that the game would be better without these two perks.

I think Marta and Laird Byron are the most powerful candidates for a game like DbD. However, we already have a killer like huntress so Marta indeed is the best candidate.

Once in a while, we can see good threads in this forum it seems.

I dont understand why people still say survivors are more powerful without having any proof for it. Few weeks ago they showed stats on the developer stream. Right now, the kill rate is around 75% on rank 20 and its more than 55% on rank 1. That means that theres an average of 2 survivors and little bit more dying on rank 1 on average. That means that its pretty close to a good balance on rank 1, but a little bit better for killers.

this problem is much larger than you'd expect.
however, i do not have the time to explain it to you in detail, just know this:
the games base mechanics work against the killers and in favor of the survivors, so any survivor who can use them good enough gets literally untouchable for the killer.
also the devs stats dont rly proof anything. as an example, im pretty sure they counted DCs in as well (and we all know how fast survivors ragequit...), which does not proof that the killers are strong, but that the survivors are just whiny 3 year olds who can not stand to lose (this is not about all survivors, just about the ones that ragequit, calm down!).

I disagree, although this untouchable rhetoric was kinda valid in the past, it is not anymore.

Nurse can touch survivors, we know that.

People always ignore spirit but she is easily one of the best killers in the entire game. She becomes more powerful against good survivors than hillbilly. She is also more popular than nurse at the moment.

With the changes, hag is very powerful and has a really good map pressure. She might still lose but again, killers just choose to ignore her. In some situations, hag becomes more powerful than hillbilly.

Huntress can easily down people as well, most places are not really safe when you face her. There are excellent huntress players, you can watch them.

Any competent clown will get at least 5 hooks per match even if they face really good survivors. He loses against good survivors due to lack of map pressure but when used right he is an excellent killer against average and above average survivors which make up more than 90% of the game.

In theory billy and myers may not be able to touch survivors but in practice, they easily can.

This rhetoric belongs to pre exhaustion and main building nerfs. The game has changed and you can get downs and kills easily.

  • It is an important problem but holding space bar and other options with space bar is not a really good idea.

Most people have reflexes and it will cause people to kill themselves accidentally. It should be a button like dead hard, when you press it, you die. Survivors and killers don't have to wait for a minute for no reason.

It's a cinematic trailer, it doesn't have be faithful to the gameplay. If you look at the Doctor's trailer he arrives out of nowhere with no TR.

Legion DLC: Legion, posing as a survivor, flees alongside David. As they both hide, David looks to see of the coast is clear, and when he turns back, Legion displays their true colors and kills David. Potentially showing that Legion can pretend to be a survivor and hide amongst their ranks.

Legion is shown having the ability to move as survivors, running and vaulting. That's what they do.

I assume the trailer shows the first time they are seen in the Fog or just ties in with their lore.

I don't understand why anyone would want such an absurdly weak power such as a disguise.

You think having no TR, no red stain, and still being able to attack is a weak power?

It's the opposite, it would make Myers, the Wraith and the Pig's stealth outdated.

Actually, doctor has the ability to reduce his Terror radius to 0 with proper addons and perks. The perk he uses is also his own perk.

All of the killers you mentioned has other abilities. Myers can one shot down people, wraith has ms increase as well as 150% sprint burst, pig has ambush and her RBTs. You might argue that this killer would be superior to them but this is no surprise. After all, nurse is superior to all of the killers. Even if you compare killers in their own categories, we have billy and leatherface. Also Myers is much stronger than the Pig anyway.

You can't deny that it was a little bit false advertisement on their part. They could actually do better with his own power anyway. Stabbing multiple people, sensing them, and downing them because of deep wounds is more exciting to watch even if it is not fun to play. I have no idea why they think that this way was a good way to show their killer.

  • Detective's hunch
Unlocks potential in one's Aura-reading ability.
When completing a Generator, the Auras of Generators, Chests and Totems within 32/48/64 metres are revealed to you for 5 seconds.

Great counter to NOED, ruin and any other hex perk.

  • I am hyped for optimization, new engine update, Jeff and his perks.

Killer doesn't mean anything to me at this point.
