This game was never intended to be played using voice com. It's giving those survivors an unfair advantage over other survivors that don't use it.

True but it's been here for a long time and the devs are trying to address it by buffing solo up to that level and then buffing killers.

I understand that it's fun to play with your friends and that you get good laughs while doing so. That's why I think voice com should be a part of the game and that it should then be balanced around it.

That won't work until they get dedicated servers since p2p combined with 1 crappy internet or Console makes it unviable.

People often forget that everyone who's playing is a human. Who also wants to have fun. Not get bullied by swf groups that hook farm or bully the killer.

The same is true for survivors then, who wants to get bullied by an experienced killer that intentionally depips to terrorize newbs.

You also have to remember that killers like to bully survivors and get mad when they get outplayed by a team even if it's not swf then turn around and say it was due to swf. The group could be 2 solos and 2 swf and yet it's swf 4 man ds/flashlight etc.

  • It also makes Sabo'd Hooks respawn 10 seconds later at rank III. So if you see 4 toolboxes and or some Jakes take it and laugh your arse off.

  • This was already addressed in your other thread where you got much more detailed feedback about injured states.

So what's your gripe? You don't like killers having rare add ons? You think they should be nearly impossible to get? Too bad, get over it and reque instantly for the next game. You know what I don't like? Survivors DCing and keeping all their items or DCing and making a killer's gear useless. That needs to be fixed before anything gets adjusted on killer side.

Assumptions leading into insults is something I expected especially when they're totally meritless and are all you have left to back up your argument.

I don't have a problem with killer having rare addons but you conveniently left out the ultra rare addon in your argument because you knew your argument was a crock of baloney.

I have a problem with how easy ultra rare addons are to get or did that somehow miss your notice despite it being right in plain view multiple times.

Yes requeue instantly to face the same issue the next game and isn't that counter to what you tell survivors when they say the same thing when you complain?

We can all agree that sucks, but how about when a killer does it and the survivors lose their offerings, or when a killer tunnels and hard camps someone making their items and addons worthless?

That last part is telling because you admit the items are too easy to get but then say fix the other side 1st. They can both be done or better yet just remove those ultra rares from both sides.

  • Well the 19th is the day after my birthday, it's the day of the new movie and it's also Myers birthday.

It's also 13 days from then till Halloween and 14 till the 1st of november.

It'd be a perfect opportunity to do the 2 week bonus BP event like they wanted.

Hollowed grounds would fit in nicely for a 2 week event as well.

    Cosmetics for Myers and Laurie.

Vines and such for the maps and perhaps a special event map.

  • The 19th might also be when they do the double Blood point event for 2 weeks also since it'd be 13 days to the 31st and 14 to the 1st of November. So if it ended at 12am then it'd technically be 2 weeks.

  • When the you have that one family member that just won't camp where they're supposed to.

So you get owned, your trial ends and instantly que up for the next round and the killer has exhausted one of his ultra-rares and best set up add-ons in DBD.

For that person they lose 1 pair big deal, but with how easy it is to get them and Black Wards is the issues. Once you hit P3 they drop in the Blood Web like candy.

If they were truly ultra rare then they'd be as hard to get as say BPS or the perks you want to get.

  • @SovererignKing said:

Have you ever thought to wait until that guy has finished inviting everyone and then dodge?

I’d never get a single match then. It’s literally every single match.

I get the same on pc as a survivor more than 1 item in lobby, they dodge, more than 1 Claudette even bright orange, dodge. You bring out your prestige when n one else has it dodge, 1 person has a flashlight dodge.

You might as well just remove all items and add ons from the game until some killers stop lobby shopping. Since at rank 1 right now a lot of killers lobby dodge while around 25% take it all on unless it's 4 flashlights then I don't blame them.

I don't ever bring a flashlight unless I'm the only 1 or there's been a rash of Wraith campers or Hag campers. I've got a huge stockpile of flashlights, Medkits, Tool Boxes, Maps, Keys all because I can't bring them into a game without getting a near instant dodge.

  • @Tsulan said:

    Any source for those numbers?
Devs never released actual numbers as far as I know.

They won't so that people won't try and game the system but if it's like others it's based upon % of games played within x time frame.

Now if you change the depip to only 1 you actually won't increase the dc rate in that sense since if they do dc more that makes their account get flagged.

Let me explain that last part if you use the example I gave of % and you on average dc x times in x games but all of the sudden you spike. Well then you're probably going to get flagged by the system that says hey x is having way more disconnects than is normal for their account history.

That flag is in addition to the dc threshold flag that can occur if you break the threshold for % in x games x time.

  • @Tsulan said:

It's even worse, when they don't do anything.
Had a match where the killer camped me. 2 swf players concentrated on a single gen and the last survivor ran in circles on the other end of the map, while the killer was holding my hand.

Sadly I've had the same thing happen, I suck at looping but i kite d aBilly around for a good 7 minutes and in that time the other 3 managed to get 2 gens done through Ruin.

I lost the sucker killed his Ruin totem, got another gen done and he finally downed me and camped me he was so mad. I figure it's all good i got 2 WGLF tokens, 1 gen done myself and hex totem.

They never got a single gen done after I got hooked.

  • @Tsulan said:

The counter stops during a chase, when you are downed or on the hook.
There is no real pressure, since the clock only starts when a gen pops. Survivors can 99% all gens and then pop them in short succesion, IF the killer camps the boxes.

Her power feels just like a mild annoyance. That´s probably the reason why she got 2 powers.

The counter does indeed stop during a chase but she just backs off and then lets the timer continue to countdown. Then when you get too close to a box rinse and repeat or hook you to go toy with someone else.

So yes there's real pressure especially if she waits until the 1st or 2nd gen is done and how often do survivors 99 all the gens and expect the killer isn't going to come damage them?

So they pop all the gens and the people with boxes on their heads just got screwed over because hey the gens all popped and there go their timers.

Have you ever faced a really good Amanda at rank 1 then if you aren't aware of that happening?

  • @Tsulan said:

Or just run in circles while the others do gens. Counter doesn´t work during this time.

Be honest, have you EVER felt pressured while having the bear trap on your head?
    I never.

The counter has always ticked down once a gen pops with a trap on your head so yes the counter does work during that time. I've always felt pressure since at rank 1 the Amanda's aren't stupid and always keep the pressure on and they also wait until 1 gen is done before putting a trap on.

I also have horrible RNG when I have a trap since boxes are always far apart and it's almost always the 3rd through the 5th box that unlocks my trap. Most of the time however i'm dead before i get he trap off or the Amanda tunnels me until she downs me or it blows up.

But when I'm Amanda boxes spawn right next to gens usually and most of the time it's 1st box 1st attempt they take them off.

I would like to see keys you bring in be able to unlock the jigsaw box but it takes half the key's durability to do so. If you have a toolbox you get a chance to break into the jigsaw box for the key but it also takes 1/2 of the tool boxes durability.

Those would both spice some things up for survivors and Amanda because people would think twice before using those items when they know it's her.

You could even change Slippery Meat to work on Jigsaw boxes as well and perhaps more people would take that to break up the emta somewhat. Although that's situational similar to Calm Spirit.

Keep the amount and half the time survivors have to disarm.

    Problem solved.

The problem is large maps, sometimes all the boxes are on one side of the map so amanda just camps one side. Anyone comes close with a box chase them off, rinse and repeat.

That's the same issue as camping. Solution is to do gens.

Yeah do gens and blow your bear trap up, that works really well.

Orrr killers can stop being whiny babies about it and use Nurses Calling to counter it like intended.

    counter
"a thing which opposes or prevents something else"

So, let me get this straight:

You believe that A Nurse's Calling, a Perk which reveals the Aura of healing Survivors within up to 28 metres of the Killer somehow prevents the Survivor from using Self-Care?

Going by your logic, do you then agree with me, that Territorial Imperative is an excellent counter to basement saves? I mean, we all know that having your Aura revealed puts a magic interaction-blocker on you.

Well technically speaking no, but in a sense it does counter it since if the survivor is stupid enough to heal in your terror radius you can stop it and down them.

Thus stopping aka countering the heal. 😁

Sorry couldn't resist that last part.

Which brings up the question if they've got multiple why do they still have their account and why hasn't EAC nailed them yet?

Because VAC isn't EAC. Does Steam even ban an account outright if they have multiple VAC bans?

They used to if you got multiple they just decided to Perma Ban that account since it wasn't trustworthy. Now it seems they went the EA route and are money hungry.

  • The same is true for survivors, you get rewarded for looping for several minutes more than if you lose them quickly.

Hell yea they're OP, that's why they're Ultra Rare add-ons. They're supposed to be OP. We can't sit here and act like survivors don't have just as obnoxious ultra-rares. Every killer should get sick ultra-rares like these TBH.

Yes but how easy is it to get said offerings compared to hatchets and speaking of which just ran into a huntress with the setup. This huntress always and I mean always has the Iridescent heads and Infantry Belt.

It didn't help they spawned 36 meters or less away and came right at me 10 seconds after match started.

  • Yeah they should make Brown Flashlights but have them be trash unless you're using higher tier addons. The Brown would have say 2 seconds of use as a base stat.

To make it worthwhile you'd really need to use rare tier aka Green at a minimum to make it worthwhile.

The map is difficult yes but there's been a lot of good games on both sides and it's not just about scratch marks. That's what some people don't get about that map and some killers have expounded on about all maps in general.

You need to pay attention to sounds, movement, breathing, are plants moving showing someone's there etc. If you're head is down in the weeds not paying attention to anything else you're going to lose people.

I understand your point , mine is that the map itself shouldn't negate perks in general . with the changes to preditor like they did this map basically turns that perk into a waisted spot altogether . perks should be a bennifit not a drawback because of map design be it survivor or killer .

That's a choice you make when you choose your perks, on some maps they'll work great while on others not so much. Look at Balanced Landing and how many maps where it's absolutely worthless.

The new map is a prime example of it being wasted, Groaning Storehouse it's great jumping from that 3rd story.

  • IT also still doesn't work if the Trapper grabbed you out of a trap and hooked you, Myers downs you while in Evil Within III, or if you have a Reverse Bear Trap on.

  • I've gotten hit around a corner similar to the Huntress hatchets when the Nurse clearly couldn't get me but her Lunge did a 120-180 degree turn.

The biggest issue is that like Huntress hit box it's not consistent since one time you won't get hit and another time you will.

  • The killer circle jerk is real to sue one of the usual killer main insults when a bunch of survivors post something they don't like.

But in all seriousness they're not that Ultra Rare given how once you each P3 they pop in your bloodweb like candy.

Throw in Black Wards galore and it's easy to see why people will dc when they face the same Huntress with the same isnta gib constantly.

I faced one I didn't quit btw Huntress 6 straight games Iridescent and Bag with Black Ward build. I asked post game and they had 19 more sitting in their bank inventory.

That was before spending any bp on anymore and they were averaging before BBQ 19k or better per match but with BBQ and offering around 60k+.

The Clown has his Ultra Rare which is a lot more rare but he has to actually hit you with the bottle or dead center you and still melee you.

Myers still has to stalk you and or have his Ultra Rares for permanent downs.

Then combine that with the really good Huntresses and it's game over within a few minutes, especially with the wide hitboxes again.

  • @Grimbergoth said:
I will agree and disagree both . I don't think the corn is all that difficult to keep track of a running survivor . I do though agree with the bamboo being to dense to see scratchmarks effectively . there is a difference from being stealth friendly and something being so dense it obliterates the trail they put into the game for you to follow .

as far as some maps being certain killer friendly and being crap for other killers that is fine , not every killer should have mastery over every map . But a map where you can not only loose sight of the prey your chasing but the trail just as easily they put in the game for you to follow that seems a bit off . combine that map and the changes to certain perks where it tightens the trail you can easily get hosed and makes that perk more a drawback if you actually use it .

The map is difficult yes but there's been a lot of good games on both sides and it's not just about scratch marks. That's what some people don't get about that map and some killers have expounded on about all maps in general.

So when you get Gideons or another killer friendly map do you complain that it's too killer sided? It's all about learning the new map and where are the good places to hide, the loops, the vaults etc.

How many maps do we have?
tell me.. how many are "killersided"?
Even Meat Plant is bad for several killer (Trapper, Billy). So this is not a 100% killersided map.
And I can't come up with any real "killersided" map anymore.
After the "rework" not even Shelter Wood is "killersided" anymore.

So now you're breaking it down to kill specific as an excuse.

Gideon's is great for Doctors, Nurses do well, I've seen Hags and trappers destroy, Billy's and even Bubbas. Crotus is made for Huntress and Clown, Billy's, Nurses, etc,

Oh and lets not forget swamp for Hag, Trapper, Pig, Doctor.

Now for survivors depending on killer plenty of maps suck Gideon's, Swamp, and your hated cornfield maps well depending on killer they're good.

Your problem is you want every map to be great for every killer and that's not how it works, Lampkin Lane is Myers Map. If you can't do well with any killer on any given map then perhaps you just need to practice more.

The same is true for survivors on Lery's and Gideon's the 2 most hated maps especially against certain killers.

  • So when you get Gideons or another killer friendly map do you complain that it's too killer sided? It's all about learning the new map and where are the good places to hide, the loops, the vaults etc.

  • @Tsulan said:

Killer is doing his objective as the survivor does.
As long as survivors camp and tunnel a gen that is nearly finished, the killer can do the same.

Wait so now survivors are camping a gen instead of gen rushing? The killer has a choice to leave the camped person.

The survivor has to stay on that gen to finish it or get chased by the killer coming near it or to save that person. If there's a Devour hope up or the gates are powered.

There's a huge difference where 1 has a choice while the other in order to complete their objective has to stay and focus that 1 thing down.

When a killer moves around they can freely decide where they want to go in order to do their objectives and can roam the map taking a direct route to a gen.

The survivor can't always go the most direct route,e specially if it's directly in the open.

    This goes both ways. ;)

Well that makes 2 logical fallacies there and no it doesn't work both ways since killers are trying to find survivors and they're trying to get out.

Their objective is to do gens the fastest way possible so in fact they can't camp since they're actually working towards that end goal.

When a killer sits there and cmaps and lets the other 3 survivors do gens and get out they're not working towards that goal.

If they're supposed to sacrifice all 4 survivors but only get 1 because they want to camp the Entity gives a message post game that says IT'S DISPLEASED.

  • @Attackfrog said:
I played wraith today and camped.

So fun when you get the timing of bell down. Lol survivors come like moths to a flame rescue whoever is on the hook.

It's not a bad strategy. Other survivors should just pop generators and escape...but no, they all want the "unhook" bps...or daily....or swf ...lol.

Speaking of camping Wraiths just had another P3 that had to camp off and on. While it's a good strategy eventually people will get smart and gen rush you and 4 man flashlight you.

You get more points for unhooking then doing the gen so of course people will go for the Altruism points until they make it so camping isn't so profitable.

That and survivors get way more for doing gens and not losing Altruism points for someone getting hooked. If the person on the hook being camped gets bonus points say distraction plus a portion of gen progress they'd sit there longer.

Throw in those bonus points for doing gens and people will leave the camper alone and gen rush permanently thereby forcing killers to stop camping for the most part.

Totally agree with this, MYC is a wonderful perk.

On most Killers its kinda meh since they are to slow and obvious to reliably use it. But on the new Wraith its amazing (because he is fast and stealthy) and the MYC/PGTW combo can really destroy survivors.
