it is ridiculous for the killer to be able to pull you out of the hatch. It is also annoying when killers still hit you even when you manage to pull the pallet down first. Also, fix the servers, they’re awful it takes too long to find a game and when you do it is laggy. The hatch is all about timing it so they don't grab you out.
That part is part of the p2p latency.
That part is somethings that being worked on and it has multiple issues not servers since you're not connecting to their servers but a p2p host. It could be there's not enough players on at the time you're playing, rank discrepancies etc.

The only change I'd think BBQ needs is to make gen auras larger so that it actually covers you even at angles, that way hiding behind a gen actually works.
There also won't be this mad rush to get under the 24 meters thereby encouraging the killer to either camp or patrol camp.
It does need something else beyond what it currently has to increase motivation to go check those gens out. Since right now if you magically find a gen you can hide behind the killer will still see others out in the open running towards hook.
-
Afk is far better and I never troll an afk killer, I might run near them for points and hopefully give them some blood points to spend. But I don't do it long enough that they'll pip out of it.
I know a few that do it and I won't ever troll them since sometimes they get a map they don't like and so i'll try and rush objectives as fast as possible so they don't have to wait.
For the ones that go in and try and troll them and get besmented you do that at your own peril and I've watched 3 people get basemented that way.
I just kept doing gens powered the gates and that was that.

Umm, @Peanits sorry for crowding your notification system but can you say your opinion on this? It's about as fun as destroying killer mains that say one thing and then something contradicting that a few sentences later in the same post.

Very few if any Killers would? Huh, wonder why...
Enjoy your hour long lobbies then since you'll face what happened before swf was introduced.

Btw, I consider it less annoying being camped than playing against certain survivors because as survivor you can simply suicide on hook and start the next game, as killer you dont have such a concede option unless you DC
I've been mori cancelled a few times and i don't ever stream and have seen it to other non steamers when I'e spectated games. It's not widespread but there's certain killers that always do it just because they like to be jerks.

What @UncannyLuck says has some merit and perhaps doing a kyf match with rules based on timers to simulate the effects described could show some problems with the idea.

@Lowbei said:
i would support a change that required a condition to be met to activate DS.I think you'd need to take out the Obsession chance increase since if the killer knows you have it they'll just make sure you don't get the requirements to use it.
Perhaps make it so the person has to do an Altruistic action in order to use it although you'd have people fighting for unhooks at that point. Which from a killers point of view is a good thing since it's more targets and less gen progression.
You could also make it specific to either healing others or unhooking and not self healing with SC or a Medkit. So if you unhook it increases your chances to struggle by x % and heals does it by x as well with unhooks being worth more.
But make a cap on how much you could get % wise overall on the struggle % increase.

@powerbats Normally I would think differently but if you paid attention to past times you'd know this is not the first time they lied. So don't try acting like I'm saying this because it's the first time this happened because it's not. I'm sure some others would agree. You're forgetting the exhaustion changes all you killer mains whined about and said they lied and that it'd never happen. the same behavior is being exhibited yet again and they did in fact do the exhaustion nerf even going beyond just nerfing SB.
Just because they don't do something when you want or decide to change directions doesn't make them liars and you and all the rest know it. It's just easier for you al to throw out the lie so you don't have to accept the fact that they might have to delay or change for the reasons listed above.

Not even a QoL oneSo something comes up that makes them have to delay it that must make them liars. Now if we use that logic everytime a game developer or any producer for that matter of anything.
They're obviously lying because they didn't release it as planned, it couldn't be because of production issues, quality control, doesn't work, time constraints, other things taking more time etc.

having a pallet within SB distance 100% of the time isn't a good thing for killers
Ok here you lost me, if someones running and has already activated SB how are they getting to that next pallet if they stop to drop a pallet on you? I mean in the sense that dropping that pallet negates the SB and then they're at normal run speed.
If they don't stun you with it and you have Spirit Fury or another perk and you mow right through it. You get LOS back and can still out run them, if they use 2 God Pallets and you destroy them that screws them and their team over.

This is a tough question because I like playing both survivor and most of the killers.
I'd have to say either Red Paint Brush or a syringe. The bad thing about syringe is the killer might have Franklins, the killer can't get his knocked out of his hands by a survivor. Although it would be funny if DS could do that just to see a killer looking around for their addons for a few seconds.

You haven't even TRIED to answer my question.
Those pictures don't show anything.
And I want to hear from you -in words- what makes the swamp good to play for the killer you mentioned?
Where is an advantage for a killer playing a huge map with lots of stealth potential AND looping spots?
And as a mediocre survivor I have no problems to find hex totems on swamp, just saying. The map is dark and has lots of ways to sneak up on people doing gens since quite a few are in blind spots.
For Trapper, there's plenty of great places to place traps including non obvious ones.
For hag the same is true and given they increased ehr TP range she can cover most of the mpa easily.
For the Pig it's super easy to sneak up on people due to all the aforementioned blind spots That and the fact you've got no terror radius means ambushes are much easier.
Oh and now you throw in the Red Herring about large maps when the discussion is about small maps like Swamp. Talk about being a forum troll.
Yet an other straw Man that had nothing to do with the discussion about killer advantages on a small map because all maps have a problem with hex totems being easy to find. Again talk about being a forum troll.
So there I posted several reasons why those killers can do well on Swamp.

If people just want to enjoy the game, why are they so vehemtly preventing SWF nerfs?
I mean if they dont even want to play the "ez" way, we can get SWF balanced, thats all we want
Are you denying the fact taht SWF gives you an advantage compared to solo play or are you claiming that the game is balanced around SWF play?
The game is balanced around solo play as it currently stands which is why they're buffing solo q up to the level of swf. Then they can buff killers to the swf level and it'll be an even playing field for the survivors with it being easier to buff killers at that point.
Yeah I never understood that part, doing 2 balance changes instead of one to achieve the same. The more you change, the higher chance that you break sth, especially in their spaghetti code.
How long is SWF part of the game now? What has happened so far, balancing wise?
I think the biggest issue is the Spaghetti code really limits how much they can do without really breaking things. If I remember correctly several months back they talked about doing a complete rewrite of the code from the ground up.
I don't know where they're at in that process or how long that'd take or whether they'll just save it for down the road when they work on a console version of the new code at the same time.

I could show the corresponding pictures if I had them and you'd just say it was photoshopped or some other excuse.

I've met Trappers, Wraiths, Freddy's etc. who are really good. They just know when to do what, and genuinely enjoy to play their choice of killer. If all killers were so overpowered that anybody who picked it up would 4k with them every game in a few minutes, it wouldn't be fun, interesting or challenging at all to learn something new. And it wouldn't feel good to win either.
This and that's what doesn't seem to get across to so many including some in this very forum who don't do good with that killer so it must be trash.

Emblem system is a joke. Just hit Rank 1 Survivor for the first time, and not a single loop was run. I was happily middle of the rankings prior to it getting adjusted, and now I get to be in ridiculous matches where I have no fun at all. Thanks Devs! There go my plans for trying to learn to juke, mindgame, and actually lose the Killer. Now I have to be a looping, jungle gyming, teabag flashlighting idiot. sigh
You never have to be this guy, just leave out the BM and loop if yuo cant play without it.
Same here, I might loop a few times to try and lose them but I'm trying to juke more and make them go chase someone else. My main thing is breaking los and evading and skulking off someplace else.
I don't tea bag after a pallet slam or a loop or window vault since that's just immature. If you tunnel me for 5 minutes or more then hard camp me till I die. i'll laugh the whole time because if my teammates are smart enough they'll do the gens and bail.
-
@Wolf74 said:
Nothing I said is "incorrect".
Even if he is exploiting to "facecamp", it does not prolong the game, the guy on the hook is dead in 2 min and versus a dedicated camper any save attemtps are stupid no matter what, so that is the survivors fault.
And if some killer picks you up and keeps dropping you for 15 min that's a BUG.
Even if the killer tries to slug all it is NOT bullying. It is a legal tactic. Unpleasent to be on the recieving end, but not bullying.I should've clarified what they were doing is carrying me and then dropping me hoping I'd wiggle which I did and got more bonus points. The killer thought they were pissing em off by doing this but I was laughing the entire time.
They knew i'd killed their DH totem so they wanted to in their own words make me suffer but I got a ton of bonus BP that way.
The other one that kept doing it also wanted me to suffer but wasn't slugging since in both cases I was the last survivor. I was dead on hook automatically so they were in fact holding the game hostage no different than when survivors do what killer complain about.
The 2nd killer was hoping i'd dc and lose all my bp and post game even said so.

Swamp is a terrible map for any killer.
I don't think you can explain how these killers should play to benefit from this map. Which powers compliment this map?I've been the killer as well as been survivor when on Swamp and people see it's a Trapper, Pig and Hag and they instantly rage quit. I've seen more rage quits on those maps and 4ks for them versus any other killer.
From my point of view that is just a made up claim.
I know we both cannot give prove to our claims, but I would like to hear WHY you think these killer are good on this map?
What tactic or power should work well with this map?
I seriously can't come up with ANY killer where I would use a Swamp offering to get an advantage.
Wraith 4k on Swamp.
1st day Rin came out
This was several months ago and they all dc'd one after the other once 1 saw my Jigsaw Box.
This was a Hag on Swamp during BBQ event.I could post plenty more images and probably some videos but that won't make you change your mind. I could post videos of Monto or Marth88 doing it and that still wouldn't be good enough. It doesn't really matter what proof I post it won't be good enough short of the devs posting stats.

@Wolf74 said:
Camping is legal gameplay and not bullying.
Even smacking them on the hook is BM and the only thing that I would see the same as tbagging for killer, but ingame it doesn't benefit the killer -because it makes unhooks in his face possible- and it does not prolong the game in any way.Actually those are both incorrect since certain killers can move themselves inside the characters models making unhooks impossible.
So it does prolong the game because survivors will try and get that person off the hook.
Pick up and drop isn't bullying either, because the survivor will get free at some point.
Actually that's also incorrect since i had a game where the killer repeatedly did this for over 15 minutes and would enver hook me. They eventually just let me bleed out and I've had other killers do it to where i'm 1 second from bleeding out after that and then hook me.
Never hooking is slugging and that's also a legal tactic. You can't take a game hostage by slugging, because they bleed out and the killer is robbing himself of points. I know a lot of people hate getting slugged, but you know what, I also hate getting smacked with a machete, but that is actually the game.
Intentional depipping is done by just LEAVING the match and not playing it at all. Is that fair for those that waste their offerings? No, but it isn't bullying in my book.Slugging is fine, but slugging and then picking up and repeating the process over and over to drag the game out like my point above is holding the game hostage.
The only real bullying that I could make up is farming the last survivor if no hatch is available or taking the game hostage by bodyblocking (real hostage, like 1/2 hr and more, not just 2 min).
As I stated above in addition to your reasons those are also valid.

People often forget that everyone who's playing is a human. Who also wants to have fun. Not get bullied by swf groups that hook farm or bully the killer.
The same is true for survivors then, who wants to get bullied by an experienced killer that intentionally depips to terrorize newbs.
You also have to remember that killers like to bully survivors and get mad when they get outplayed by a team
Serious question: How can a killer "bully" survivor?
Camp, and sit there and smack them, pick them up and drop them repeatedly and never hook them. you could also say a rank 1 killer that's intentionally depipped to 15 to terrorize noobs qualifies.

As @ChesterTheMolester said restart the game and if that doesn't work the Steam client if on Pc or disconnect from the Console service.
Now for the double charge you need to contact support and ask for their help but that sounds like you might've clicked it twice or there was a bug if using Steam or the console service.
-
It's been buggy if you have a Reverse Bear Trap on while hooked, Myers hooks you while within Evil Within III, and if a Trapper grabs you out of a trap.
Also make sure you wait for the animation to end and you're fully unhooked completely and on the ground. You also have to make sure you have t least 1 full attempt otherwise you can't kobe either.

So when you get Gideons or another killer friendly map do you complain that it's too killer sided? It's all about learning the new map and where are the good places to hide, the loops, the vaults etc.How many maps do we have?
tell me.. how many are "killersided"?
Even Meat Plant is bad for several killer (Trapper, Billy). So this is not a 100% killersided map.
And I can't come up with any real "killersided" map anymore.
After the "rework" not even Shelter Wood is "killersided" anymore. So now you're breaking it down to kill specific as an excuse.
Gideon's is great for Doctors, Nurses do well, I've seen Hags and trappers destroy, Billy's and even Bubbas. Crotus is made for Huntress and Clown, Billy's, Nurses, etc,
Oh and lets not forget swamp for Hag, Trapper, Pig, Doctor.
Now for survivors depending on killer plenty of maps suck Gideon's, Swamp, and your hated cornfield maps well depending on killer they're good.
Your problem is you want every map to be great for every killer and that's not how it works, Lampkin Lane is Myers Map. If you can't do well with any killer on any given map then perhaps you just need to practice more.
The same is true for survivors on Lery's and Gideon's the 2 most hated maps especially against certain killers.
Swamp? For those killers? Are do you actualy play this game, or just sit on forums? Swamp alongside with Farm are the worst maps for every killer.
You're joking right, Hag/Pig/Trapper and even Wraith love that map. Throw in a jumpscare Myers and Doctor who laughs at stealth play there.
If you can't do well with the killers i originally listed on swamp then that means you're the problem not the map or killers.
Why is it that so many killers do just fine with those maps and you somehow think it sucks?

I wouldn't mind it if Hex: Ruin provided slower generator progress. Change the perk to work on all survivors across all tiers instead of 2/3/4 survivors, but have generator progress slowed by 10/20/30% That's an additional 8/16/24 seconds to repair speed if you do it solo and hit Great Skill Checks every time. The percentages could be halved if too many people are having trouble with it, but it's a start.Yeah the way I have it setup it affect all gens regardless of tier.
-
@OGlilSPOOK20 said:
Not gonna lie... This would be a good perk, but this is where Prove thyself & Leader come in and probably kick it's ass. Survivors would all probably start using Shroud of Vigo to start together to gen rush.Well that would break the emta up some but the more on the gens the higher the chance of something going wrong.
-
@Tsulan Yeah I think it's too op as well and why I said numbers should be changed.
@Nickenzie I thought about it which is why i also suggested changing numbers some to prevent this perhaps even if missing the exceptional skill check. The explosion and normal regression would still apply but say an extra % and to ensure trolls can't grief an added effect.
If you fail the exceptional skill check your hands become burned/numbed so you can't work on a gen for the next say 15-30 seconds. This would be a debuff similar to say Thanatobia on your screen where you can't work on a gen till it wears off.
With that you'd prevent someone from constantly blowing gens up like that and in fact could be extended to gen progress now where it's a huge issue when someone doesn't want to share of is just griefing.
If you blow up a gen you should have your fingers go numb for say 5-15 seconds preventing you from working on any gen. With failing a higher skill check means you suffer a longer time penalty.
It'd work similar to say Deliverance where you have the broken status effect only it'd be called the numb effect preventing you from working on a gen.

Maybe have it where she has thw same amount of traps, but she can pick up disarmed traps at the box it dropped at.
Also, refund the trap if a survivor is sacrificed with it on.One tweak is a sacrificed trap can't be reused but a lock picked one can with a catch. It can't be used until all her normal ones have been used 1st.
It also has a higher chance of being lock picked out of a 2nd time since the lock isn't as strong as before, say a 510% chance of getting it out of a jigsaw box compared to the normal rng.

I feel like she should Passively Phase more often and it should last longer since it really doesn't do much, especially when the mind game is timed perfectly as she passively phases. Don't get me wrong, it can give you a cheeky hit but high rank survivors know their mind games lol.
At rank 1 she's doing pretty well, and it really boils down to the mind games. As for something evil check this out a friend and I were testing addons in kyf. This is during either her passive phasing or coming out of stealth I can't remember which.

I'm not a kid and in fact amn a few weeks away from my 53rd birthday yet I'm still a kid at heart, I laugh, I still watch Bug's Bunny and Scooby Doo because they're funny.
I've said on countless occasions the game is survivor sided and posted ideas on how to improve it, you read the same earlier. yet you still decided to ignore that just to throw out more insults.
@SovererignKing posted it already but I'll say the same once again, there's entitled players on both sides. The fact you ignore it proves quite clearly who the entitled one is.
I defend both sides when I see the need and also call out both sides as well. The fact you equate that with my defending dc's is hilarious. Someone calling out a side is defending the other for doing the same when I've never once said that.
You're doing exactly what i called you out for, deflection when you can't argue a point combined with insults then a full scale surrender and dodge. You've obviously got more important things to do than deal with facts and truth.
6.Then the final surrender comes in after another failed attempt at dodging, if and when you want to have an actual debate I'll be here.

At the expense of offensive perks sure.
If you think about it you wouldn't need offensive perks since you could run down anyone by that point and no one would ever escape. Myers, Bubba (shudder), Billy, Clown, Wraith (oh gawd).
Then I suppose a hit-recovery increase would be needed to make sure the killer doesn’t machine gun.
rofl, can you imagine that perk with the old machine gun huntress? She'd have been the top tier killer over nurse.

@powerbats if you think I'm pretending.. we have nothing more to discuss. Entitled survivor mains are not worth speaking too sorry. Think they know everything about balence..Speaking of entitled and no I know you're not pretending but it's obvious who the entitled one here is and that'd be you.
You did exactly what I expected you to do which is dodge and deflect then insult and run away. the typical I can't refute your argument so I'm going to insults and ignore you strategy.
I can disagree with people like @Orion @SovererignKing @Tsulan and even @DarkWo1f997 yet they don't try what you're doing. We don't agree on everything, we agree on somethings etc but at least we respect each other for the most part.
I've never pretended to be an expert on game balance but I've also suggested things to help improve game balance that help killers. But I guess my input isn't any good because i'm not some biased main on 1 side that only wants things my way.

What I feel is a much better solution.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/16907/injured-state#latest
This was already addressed in your other thread where you got much more detailed feedback about injured states.
True but I didn’t have all the balance changes included in the original post. I feel the first one is the better version and I really hope the devs see it at some point.
True and I forgot to add in that you could link to the prior post and say this was the original idea and the feedback has been incorporated into this thread.

So.. this thread talks about killer entitlement.. but survivors are the ones who DC because they missed DS or couldn't get Deliverance to work or disconnect because they got outplayed or disconnect to keep their items.. the list goes on.. Killers have to take what they can get while the survivors think they have the privilege to get everything they want..So when a killer rage quits because they don't like the offerings, they don't like the map or they don't get someone down within the 1st 30 seconds it's survivors fault?
When killers quit because they get outplayed and or the survivors have exit gates powered about to exit. Yeah talk about privilege and getting everything you want.
Both sides do it so don't come in and act like killers are angels here because that's about as true as the earth is flat.
You as the killer get to see what items the survivors are bringing, what character they're playing so don't pretend you have to take what you can get.
