You clearly don’t play on console. This happens all the time. I did a post about this aswell, exact same thing.

That's your problem right there the fact that you play on console.

YOU need to come to the DARK SIDE and play on PC !!!!!!

Why am I dodged then? I am always solo. Oh yeah because the killer suspects I may be an swf. Do you realise how ridiculous this is?

YOU are solo... but did you check the rest of your team?
    Are they 3 SWF?
Did your team sport like 2+ toolboxes or flashlights?
Did they have legacy clothing? Bright clothing?
Toxic names? Twitch or YouTube tags in their name?

    4 strangers = 30%
    2 friends + 2 strangers = 34.1%
    2 friends + 2 friends = 9.5%
    3 friends + 1 stranger = 17.9%
    4 friends = 8.5%

I really wish killers would stop using the 3 and 4 man swf as an excuse to lobby dodge, it's childish. You know as well as I do that if you get a swf indicator you'll just dodge even more.

If you they put in a non swf queue then you should be forced to play that queue only then that way you can't dodge swf anymore and those that have no problem facing them can get lobbies quicker.

But if there's only 30% solo lobbies only then your wait times are going to be atrocious.

  • Why the heck is the excuse when a killer does well like perkless Freddy always well they were up against trash survivors. Yet when a perkless Nurse does it it's because the killer had skill, you killer mains that can't maximize a killer because it isn't Billy/Nurse tier out of the gate are hilarious.

When other killers do well with a killer you suck with and yes that's harsh but it's the reality that's obvious here there's always an excuse used. I suck with Nurse because she's not my cup of tea so to speak and i don't play her enough.

I prefer Trapper, Pig, Myers and now Rin while others prefer a different 4-5 toons to play and suck on others as well.

Oh and they already added a small buff in for Rin and for all the ones saying she has no mind game potential it's true she doesn't when you don't know how to play her.

If it benefits survivors it's a feature. You've gotta get on board with that, dude.

Wait what, how does gen tapping benefit survivors again? Since it takes longer to do a gen which is what killers have been asking forever for. So you want more gen rush then and don't punish gen tappers by going after them.

  • There's does seem to be some inconsistency since I've done fast vaults ie running in a straight line from a distance. i clearly make it cleanly through take 5 steps and get hit magically.by melee hits.

I can see bubba's chainsaw doing it with the extended reach but when you're basically 5 feet on the other side of the window that hit shouldn't register. The pallets are the same which devs are aware of both issues which happened when they went to fix phantom hit/misses for killers.

She's too weak. Her power is that she can catch upto survivors running away from her and then you can still lose track of them. Base speed too slow. She is trash however good you are at killer. I play her well and mind game pretty good but she has no reward for winning those mind games. You might as well just walk very slowly behind the survivor and hit them like a standard killer only slower.

She should have a bigger terror radius and faster movement speed. She probably needs a touch longer phase walk duration and she is too loud and can be heard really easily.

While I agree with most of your points, making her terror radius bigger just alerts the killer that already alerts them with a static sound, so that wouldn't be a buff

I've been seeing Spirits use Distressing which is just a facepalm move and once you talk it over with them they realize it's a bad choice on her and stop using it. Now there's quite a few running M&A, Nurses and stridor on her.

In all seriousness though perhaps you're just not that good with her or she doesn't fit your playstyle. Most games at rank 1 she 3-4's either very quickly or after a 15-20 minute match. There's very few games where she doesn't get at least 1 ore more kills let alone anyone actually getting out.

She's currently the top played killer I've been facing at rank 1 and Monto has a pure evil build going that's getting copied it's so good.

I have yet to see spirit gameplay against competent SWF where she does well.
15-20 minutes, are we still talking about DBD? Every killer can win if the survivors go afk

    Oh and by the way.
Quickly checked out monto on youtube and found a video "The Spirit Needs Tweaks! | Dead By Daylight DISCUSSIONS WITH MONTO" where he explains "The Spirit needs tweaks to be viable in High Ranked Play
    "

Good lord, @powerbats try again

Well you completely failed with that one and badly so.

    FEATURES & CONTENT
Integrated the Polish community translations for 2.2.0

    BALANCE

Reduced the default recharge time of the Spirit's power from 20 seconds to 15 seconds

    BUG FIXES

Fixed an issue that caused the Spirit to get instantly blinded with a flashlight

Hmmn looks like the buff most of us asked for is being implemented.

You've never been in a long game before against other killers, well you must need to play better killers against competent survivors.

Oh and competent swf don't even try that garbage argument since the dev stats while outdated show the following which blows your argument to bits again.

    4 strangers = 30%
    2 friends + 2 strangers = 34.1%
    2 friends + 2 friends = 9.5%
    3 friends + 1 stranger = 17.9%
    4 friends = 8.5%

You might want to try a different argument that can be backed up next time instead of the Ad Hominem and Straw Mans.

That actually makes a lot of sense

Which is also something I said so at 40 it should automatically to to tier II and 50 tier III since you get teachable at 30-35. That way if you haven't gotten it in your bloodweb by then you don't get screwed over by bad RNG.

There does also seem to be an issue that the more perks you unlock the higher chances they have of spawning in your Bloodweb than your own perks since they did the perk change.

I'm over 20 rollovers now i think and still Deliverance rank I.

We know that voice comms were fine with the old one.

But apprently they are not fine with the new one

Then start reporting it then.. we'll see how many people get banned for it. GL with it.

This and when the devs post an update like they did with camping/tunneling/looping not being reportable what argument will you try next? The reason they haven't done anything is because they've said it enough times it's well known it isn't bannable to use voice comms.

You lot can keep lying and trying to twist things to fit your narrative but it isn't ever going to work, voice comms aren't a bannable offense. As @SenzuDuck pointed out you lumped all that stuff together so of course you got the carbon copy response.

You also knew before you even sent that you were going to get that type of response since you had no intention of asking about voice comms only. Again the depths that you few will go to just to lie and start a flame war is astounding.

Yet in the other thread you just complained about the new map being more stealthy because it's so dark and there's less pallets and windows etc. Besides which killer run Whispers and or Spies which defeats said stealth.

When SFTS and Whispers defeat your stealth, that's a YOU problem.
SFTS is a terrible perk to begin with, because it has several counter and is borderline useless even IF it works.
And Whispers is only a timesaver for the killer, not to waste time searching empty areas.
Those perks are between bad and mediocre.

Yet rank 1 killers use Whispers whenever they see anyone in dark outfits so that'd mean it's not trash. They seem to find people with it just fine perhaps because they know where to look.

But if you think both perks are trash put a poll up for killers to respond to and ask the top killer streamers like Marth88 their thoughts as well.

  • @Dr_doom_j2 said:

I would like you to tell me everything that she does that makes her not trash. All I keep hearing from people is she isn't trash, but all they can say to that is "She 4k's in rank 1" like Freddy doesn't also do that. They say she has mind games... But as far as they go, how is that possible when the majority of the time in the majority of maps, she loses herself trying to even find someone with her power?

Seriously, give me something other than 4k's happen, because we both know rank is almost meaningless and a LOT of rank 1 survivors are carried there or just end up there through grind.

I could tell you all the ways she's great but judging by your post you'll ignore them anyways since it's always the same. Get to rank 1, well rank means nothing. This streamer says killer is trash, that streamer says she's great, but streamers opinions don't matter.

Then it's anyone could get to rank 1, true, so what if the killer got 4k, the survivors must all be bad or the killer was lucky. It's funny you lists the complaints but if she was so bad so many people wouldn't be playing her pretty much non stop.

Also if she loses herself in the majority of the maps then how is she getting 3-4k pretty consistently? Since she can't be losing herself the majority of ehr games and still getting 3-4k. If she was such trash no would would be playing her so much let alone Prestiging her to 3.

I'd say go watch Monto decimate with her or any of the other countless streamers pro and non pro but it'd be pointless, the excuses would be the same. Your mind is already made up and nothing I or anyone else here will say will change that. That was proven by the majority of her getting lost statement you made.

But there's a lot of killer mains use that excuse quite often if a killer isn't Nurse/Billy tier right out of the gates. I'm seeing a lot of Rin's at rank 1 doing quite well with her and most seem to have her down pat so they can do well.

That doesn't mean she doesn't need some qol buffs she does, but to say she's trash is just plain wrong.

True but those that get know how to get the most out of him do so and the same for Rin. The Nurse is a perfect example of those that will learn the cahmp to the fullest will get the most out of them. IF you're not willing to work hard to maximize and learn them to the fullest they'll always be trash.

you know every killer has a limit to their power and their counters define their viability. Its not healthy when a killer like Freddy best build is the one that barely ever uses his power. The only advantage you should capitalize on with Freddy is his stealth run dream transition reduction and don't bother with any of the other add ons their all trash in high ranks. Nurse on the other hand has multiple blink builds and distance builds all which are incredibly powerful she also ignores what is for the most part been the hardest mechanic to balance in the game. Pallets and vaults. Nurse is usually always consistent because its all down to reads and muscle memory. No map abuses or pallets or lack there of. But back to my point some killers have to many limitations and not enough complexity or reliability to be good. The pigs is insanely good with combat straps and video tape but the rest of her add ons cater to the RBTs which are rng and incredibly inefficient.

You cant sit their and pretend theirs some super secret powerful way to make a killer like Freddy good because he as a killer is fundamentally flawed and badly designed.

Yet people run some of his builds at rank 1 or go perkless and do just fine. Most killers in fact don't run solely their own perks so lets not pretend that's a valid argument either.

Currently she seems to be a mid-tier killer, around as strong as the average. However, you need to factor in that she is hard to play, and is new and not played by very many people so it is difficult to learn how to counter her. Also, she was released unfinished and they're planning to fix and buff her in the mid-chapter update. Currently she's an average, maybe slightly above average killer. After her buffs she could rise to the same level as the Clown or Huntress.

She's actually above Clown and most definitely Huntress right right now and Clowns while scary at times are child's play compared to her at rank 1.

Ok, so after a few days of replies, I have determined that survivors indeed do not know how to play the game. At least not how to do it well enough to consistantly double pip or get over 20k points.

Yeah because double pip usually requires going for unhooks which when you've got a killer hard camping isn't happening. You also have to do a lot of healing which requires someone getting hurt and doing gens.

  • Good grief just stop with that crap, the devs have explicitly stated on numerous occasions they won't ban for Discord or voice comms usage and Steam has voice also.

3rd party software is one that modifies the actual game files such as speed hacks etc so killer mains stop lying about it.

Then you get the killer that just happens to run into your area of the map say a Billy or Nurse so make up your mind, do you want a hide and seek game or not?

If you want an actual stealth game then you can't complain about dark maps with lots of places to hide, you have to get rid of all aura reading perks like what bbq gives you. You've got to get rid of Whispers and other tracking perks etc.

  • At rank 1 you almost have to have it since there's so many Rambo's out there, people that don't belong there, ones that're trying to depip and who'll happily take you with them. It's just a must when you're in solo queue and can't trust others to be consistent.

It's even more of a must when you get a known griefer in your group who'll purposely screw up the heal and or run to you with the killer in tow using bond.

  • 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

The depths that some people will sink to just to equate voice chat to cheating even when their own evidence directly contradicts them is astounding.

  • Hmmn I wonder why so many rank 1 killers are playing her and getting 3-4k constantly right now if she's so trashy. Monto and Angry Pug the latter whos been on both sides of my matches has played her under a different name and wrecked with her.

I've been seeing a lot of really good spirits do really well with her at rank 1 even against really good loopers. No one will ever be Nurse tier since she breaks all rules of the game but she's doing pretty well so far. Now granted she does need some qol buffs for sure, but to say she's trash is delusional.

  • @Wolf74 said:
Oh the map has no exploitable "infinite spot" (aka long loop), so we make it terrible for killer to "make up for it".
    Are you even serious??

Complains about looping, infinites, too many pallets, gets what he wanted still complains about it. Well guess what you'd better get used to it if you want looping gone and killers to be the dominant power role. Because you're going to actually have to use what you accuse survivors of not using by looping.

Now certain killers have a hard time on this map but Freddy, Pig, Trapper, Hag, Rin, Jumpscare Myers, are all doing extremely well on here. I've even seen Billy's and Leatherfaces do extremely well on that map.

The only one that has a hard time consistently is Huntress with darkest moonlight and thicker fog.

But most of the time at rank 1 the killer either gets me on the loop spot or hopefully thinks I've got godlike Dwight looping skills and gives up.

There's some people at rank 1 I know no matter what name they play at are godlike loopers and a lot of the killers do as well. But even then they'll still go after them because half the time they'll gt them they've versed them for so long.

36 is a bit much but 20 would be fine and if they vault a window right next to it say 5 feet that window has 1 less charge so to speak.

You'd be surprised on some maps as a lot of loop infamous areas have jungle gyms next to them which can easily make 20 seconds fly by. I honestly think 33 - 36 seconds is more adequate.

Split the difference and go for 25 but only that 1 window and NOT A WINDOW MORE !!!!!!!!

What makes them scrubs for running it? I've not been around too long but every killer post moans about it yet it seems to be stopped quite easy? Just down them close to a hook, pick them up and drop them a few seconds later, rinse repeat. Or am I missing something?

Should we talk about killer scrubs running ruin?

What about ruin? Hexes are broken in this game. There are counters to ruin. perks that counter it and it can be destroyed

Killer mains --> The game is unplayable at high ranks because survivors can easily pallet loop and gen rush.

Still, I don't think personal accounts mean much tbh. As a survivor, I have faced many spirits at high ranks and they were all terrible. Except for one, who camped ant tunneled btw, none of them got 4k.

Leatherface and the spirit are the two killers that make me relax as soon as I see them. I think she needs buff but if you are against the idea, rather than pointing out your personal experience, trying to refute what is provided is better imo.

Stating that, I don't support OP's buffs and changes.

This made me a laugh because you pointed out the double speak about how the arguments go from 1 thread to another.

While I agree personal experiences can't be the sole valid point which is ironic since killer mains use that all the time it can tell how your games go. I've also faced some really horrible spirits but the same is true for other killers as well.

I also agree the changes are ahem not viable ideas.

As far as no sane killer would play her wait what, people are playing ehr a lot, and like Freddy those that know how to get the most do well with them.

I have yet to see my 5th Spirit in 2 weeks of playtime... That's the frequency of Spirit players. I am not a killer main, I am just leaning a bit more to their side. I also play survivor plenty so don't refer to me as a killer main thank you very much.

Killer mains --> It is because all survivors are boosted and scrubs.

    Then in another thread

I do agree with you and of course she doesn't need to see survivors but at least seeing blood as a baseline would be reasonable. A friend of mine hasn't even played vs The Spirit once since release. Normally a new killer would be in all lobbies after the release for at least a whole week. That means something.

I mentioned killers mains as a general and what rank are you at because at rank 1 she's the top played killer right now in my matches.

Guys. As I already said. This is all because it's been her first week and the start of her 2nd week. And I said, normal survivors. Nowadays almost all survivors even in rank 1 are scrubs to be quite honest.

Wait so now it's almost all survivors are scrubs at rank 1 is the excuse for killers doing well and not because the killer has actual skills.

  • The only issues I see are is tunneling is already an issue, well then you'll just tunnel them even more. Then you get even more gen rushes because the killer is going to focus that person down no matter what.

You'll get more 4 flashlight or medekit lobbies etc, more go to a loop spot and heal and then run off to next spot etc.Don't like those isnta heal well be ready for them non stop now since the person will just loop you forever.

Once they get low enough it's pop that instant heal and then start it all over again and we're back to killers complaining about something new. That they caused by getting what they asked for and then it'll be well this need s a nerf. Then you get survivors doing something different and then it'll be well this is unfair.

It's like the hatch removal, do you really want to have to spend an entire match looking for that person who's going to just hide forever till you leave?

While I agree there does need to be some changes do the benefits outweigh the negatives which is something most of the ideas never take into consideration.

  • Don't buy it, it's a waste of perk slot in the end.

  • I've not noticed much of a difference really, killers are still downing unhooked survivors just fine and the same campers at rank 1 are still camping post patch at rank 1.

As a rank 1 spirit main, I say you are wrong about her bring viable at high ranks. Unless every survivor I have played against in the last 60 games were potatoes or lost on purpose, then I will say you are incorrect. Fewest kills I've had with her at rank 1 is 2.

I've been facing a lot of Spirits at rank 1 and she generally gets 2-4 with 4k being a high % of the time unless it's someone new to her or trying to depip. The people that say she's trash just don't know how to use her to her fullest really.

Some spirits are even branching out and doing with lots of different builds. Monto has a evil build that gets hm 4k. I've seen fast 4k games for her since she's so unpredictable despite people saying she was.

I am not sure what the problem is. The only response to BL3 is "If you need it as a Killer, YOU are doing something wrong." So, basically, only the bad Killers need BL3 and 98% of all survivor main players who ever play Killer NEVER get past BL1, so there is no need for BL3. If this really is the case, then, why is there such a backlash against it? Why is there any need to remove it? (yes, BL3 is now BL2, with BL2 now at BL1.5).

It has been weeks since I have gotten to BL3 in a serious chase (chasing to be funny doesnt count) so I know there isnt a huge need for it, but, why remove it? If the arguments posted here are truthful, then, shouldnt BL get a Buff rather than a Nerf?

They already stated bl is getting a buff to it's base mechanics to smooth it out, that's been explained repeatedly in the thread. so I'm not sure what the point of your post is if it's already been explained multiple times why.

  • I've tried not running SC and instead runa medkit, killer brings Franklin's and just tunnels you. If you somehow get away and they find you still injured they know you're easy prey. Then the response from killers is run pharmacy etc and look through a chest.

Well 3 other people often have the same idea, especially if the killer is running Franklins, and then it's well run this perk. Then you respond isn't you very same killers that say you shouldn't have to run a perk to counter what someone else is running?

Then you run into killers who also throw out the less chest offerings with Franklins and now you have 1 chest that's in the map for 4 people. But you should just throw a chest offering out then which leads to why should I have to do x to counter why?

Most of my games are solo q at rank 1 and quite often you can't always depend on your tea mates healing you at that rank since the killers are usually running Nurses Calling. They're also always looking to nail anyone and everyone healing someone.

It's oftentimes it's better to run off to someplace secluded and heal yourself quietly so if a heal check gets missed 2 people don't get put at risk. That way if the killer is in a chase he's only got 1 person to screw with and not 2 with an easy down of you.

A lot of borderline infinites usually involve buildings with windows. I feel like that they spent a long time trying to change window layouts which does work to some degree but what I think is the right approach is increasing entity window blockers from 16 seconds up to 36 seconds.

36 is a bit much but 20 would be fine and if they vault a window right next to it say 5 feet that window has 1 less charge so to speak.

  • Have you met Claudette and Adam on Gideons and Lery's?

  • I've been watching small streamers pretty much exclusively and they're great.
