Then evidence should be DM'd to a bhvr representative.
It has been, before the removal occured actually.

Personally, I don't shoot the messengers. This is a company issue, not a mod issue.
You're right, though the mod team shares responsibility in that as well. I renamed the topic to suit this.

I think you are misreading me. I never said it was a balance issue. I have never said that my team should not have gotten gens done. I have never said that getting the killer to BL 3 isn't a good thing for the team.
I only stated, DH does counter BL.
Oh we're talking about Dead Hard? I don't have any issue with Dead Hard. It's fine just the way it is. Entirely counterable.
My stances on these are "Bloodlust is an important mechanic designed to prevent infinites" and "Dead Hard is perfectly fine as it is."

Solo q says hi!!
And, it still counters bloodlust. Regardless of personal opinions on either. It counters BL.
I play almost exclusively solo queue. Red rank survivors should be pressuring gens. If you get a killer to level 3 bloodlust and no gens pop, that is entirely your team's fault, not a balance issue.
-

It does if you're the survivor being chased and a bloodlusting killer is using some dated mechanic to get you down.
If a killer is using bloodlust to get you down, you have successfully wasted SOOO much of that killer's time. If bloodlust is getting you downed, then 3 gens should have popped during that chase.
Bloodlust downs only ever happen when you have exhausted all of your pallets in the area. Unless you are just looping the killer around what is essentially an infinite loop and they eventually catch up to you because of bloodlust. In that case, bloodlust is a good thing.
-
I agree 100%. Tier 1 or 2 perks are universally undesirable.
There are now around 90 perks for survivor, plus more addons and offerings than when the bloodweb was implemented. I think it's about time to remove the unnecessary tiers.
I think the tiers were originally in the game to give players something to unlock anyway. Before we had sich a huge selection of things.
-
@Clevite said:
Nerfing DH would destroy the perk. It would become something completely different, and as I said before, it is a direct counter to bloodlust.
Does bloodlust even need a counter? Bloodlust itself is a mechanic designed to prevent chases from lasting forever (which they still nearly can anyway.)
-
An alternative to this weekly or daily bloodhunt could be daily login or "first match of the day" bonuses that give an extra amount if points. Or to increase the amount of points we get from daily challenges. Or to have weekly challenges.

Can you honestly just stop whining? Nurse was nerfed while freddy and doc were buffed. No side gets its way. Both sides get buffed and nerfed equally but you still act like killers are oppressed even thought the update that helps killers came out recently
Agreed. I mostly play killer and I strongly believe the game has always been survivor sided, but it is slowly becoming more and more balanced toward top tier play. The things that can be exploited unfairly are slowly being phased out of the game.

They will most likely only change it when Huntress gets her Add On Overhaul. And nobody knows when this will happen.
I also dont know why BHVR makes easy things so hard, it would be possible to change Iridescent Head any time, the majority of players would actually approve that. It is the most OP Add On in the game.

Needs to just be reworked to be the same as Deathslingers red addon so that you are rewarded for far hatchet throws
Except Deathslinger's addon is aweful due to his range limit.
Also, the reason iri head is still in the game probably the same reason keys and red moris are: the devs haven't gotten around to balancing them yet. They will sometime this year as long as you keep talking about them.

Okay, good to know. Like the first person I was talking to this about said: "it's not impossible for a killer to catch a survivor" which I kind of agree with but you can certainly prolong the game beyond it's intended length, just to be a jerk. How long is a prolonged period would you say? 10-20 mins going around hiding?
30-60 minutes is what I would say is 100% holding the game hostage. Unless they are actually going around touching gens trying to play the objective. There are such situations where survivors are just cowardly and playing painfully slow and that is not hostage holding.
-
Holding the game hostage is one or more players making it impossible for the other players to leave the match without disconnecting (using the Leave Match option or closing the application.) There are many ways to do this and I will list a few:
Hiding and never doing gens.
Hiding and never opening the exit gates.
Bodyblocking a survivor into a corner so that they can't move.
All of these have to be done for a prolonged period of time with no indication that the other party is going ti ever stop. They also have to be done in a way that make it impossible to finish the game or die. Literally preventing the other player from ever leaving the match through any means other than disconnecting.
-
The game has always been a time management "simulator" on the killer's part. Even with old Ruin. But with the removal of old Ruin, now they are scaling down the survivors and their gen rushing, so it's balancing out alright over time.

I disagree with a lot of what you said, but some perks are indeed not worth the drawbacks (Mettle of Man.) And you are correct, "git gud" will not solve a lot of the problema you have. The thing is: if you don't enjoy DbD at all anymore, why even play it? Is it just because you feel like you've invested too much to drop out now? Do what makes you happy.
That being said, I think we can all relate to frustration in the game. The problem there is honestly down to bad luck sometimes. It is not fun to get 3 potato teammates and an expert killer. Likewise it is not fun as killer to go against a 4 man swf. DbD is considered a competetive game though and if it is only fun to you when you are winning or evenly matched, it is inevitable that you will have miserable matches where you get stomped too. Try to change your outlook on what is fun in DbD if you can.

And guess what? The overwhelming majority of games are not sweaty object SWFs. They are potato solo Q players, who get 2 tapped by the demogorgon even at purple / red ranks.
It would be OP as hell, especially with the incoming map nerfs.
A game should be balanced toward the top level of play without sacrificing the bottom. We already have Plague who is STRONGER than this hypothetical killer would be and she is fine. Even considered a litte underpowered.

I'm honestly done responding to someone who clearly has hardly any killer knowledge/experience.
I play almost exclusively killer for over 2 years and I agree with them. Against an experienced swf group that is communicating, using an OoO, and gen rushinh, this killer would be virtually helpless unless the survivors made a huge mistake.
-
And these are almost never solo survivors
-
Both sides have a challenging match and both sides nearly win.
-
I think it hurts stealth killers more, but I'm ok with it being in the game. It doesn't make that huge of a difference. If that player was already good enough to run you around for 5 gens before you kill them anyway, Object of Obsession isn't going to make them any more likely to do that.
The reality is just that the game is still heavily survivor-sided when it comes to top tier players.
-

I've seen a total of like 4 female streamers that main killer the rest of them all play survivor and never touch killer it's not just women who play survivor there's double the amount of men who main survivor than women from (my observations) it's just due to survivor being the popular and easier role to play, you can jump in easily and do well with a team.
Interesting.

Lmao, good thing that's not my goal here 😂
Thanks for the replies, I was curipus about this. I notice girls play DbD a lot more than other games, or at least are more open about it. There are a lot of friends I have who are women that ONLY play DbD and then only play survivor anf don't like any other games. I was exploring the observation, seeinghow many girls out there do actually prefer killer. Good to see that it's not uncommon.

Imma mark these words for when I'm proven right this week
Turns out they changed his grappling hook to just count as hooking a survivor to be sacrificed.
-
It depends on whether I have company over and my mood. I will spend a whole day playing survivor with my neice, but I will also spend a whole day playing killer on my own. Sometimes I do solo survivor queue, but it gets boring a bit faster for me.
It also depends on what other games I've been playing. If I played a lot of hard games like sekiro or apex, I will probably play killer. If I was recently playing chill games like final fantasy 8 or death stranding, survivor.
-
Poor Legion mains. I cri evertim
-
The sabo is fine. I would prefer having it take 4 seconds, but honestly the way they are handling it, it won't be a huge problem. Saboteur has a long cooldown, if all the survs are busy with alruism that means they arent doing gens, so a sabo team is easy pickings for slugging.
-
Tunnel two toolboxes, then slug the last two.
-
I think it will be fine. The devs have gotten pretty good at making adjustments to PTB. The only real exception is Legion T-T
-
I think it's a good idea as long as players with less than 100 hours have sbmm of some kind.
-
Sometimes turning on a VPN can fix the problem, but it only works about a third of the time for me. This happens to me for about 3 days every month.
-
It's a network issue. Don't listen to people saying it's a player count problem. It's always been in DbD and only effects certain people for random amounts of time.

500 matches in 70 days is 7 matches a day. That's NOT okay.
You can't do 7 matches per day? That's like an hour of DbD every day. Don't buy a battle pass if you can't even put in an hour per day.
-
Yeeeaaaah. Out of everything that could have been buffed on doc, what he needed was no delay between shock being used and shock hitting someone. Other than that he would be fine.

Nobody cares if you leave the game.
80%+ of players using the perk, just as Self Care did. It needed to be nerfed, sorry to bring you back to reality.
WHY did 80+% players use it?
-
Well, I would support this if they increased gen times to 100 seconds instead of 80. The game just goes by way too fast, that's why people used Ruin so much to begin with. Survivors finish every gen in less than 6 minutes OR they all die in less than 6 minutes. There wasn't much of an in-between in red ranks.
-
They seem to be under the impression that people used it to rank up Gatekeeper.
-
MoM is too inconsistent. The protection hits shouldn't have to be while standing near an injured surv, it should be any surv.
DS is fine.

You can always do the archuves tomes and unlock those cutscenes. They are permanent. The Rift is the only thing that goes away.

The effect is so strong that I definitely would not buff it in this way, it's fine being a niche perk.
I'd be okay with removing the aura reveal penalty (on tier 3 I guess) and that's about it.
It's ok being niche, but it's just barely stronger than Dead Hard. Needing to vigilantly work the whole match to take one extra hit is not worth the perk slot. Just take a styptic.
-
Basically, certain people like DbD to be a power fantasy and they get upset when it's not.

You could say that about the Hallowed Blight and Lunar New Year event cosmetics too, then.
But in my above post I didn't say the BBQ and Howling Grounds cosmetics should be purchasable with cash; I said players should be able to earn them in future events, the same way players previously earned them. That way it's as fair as it can be to both sides.
I agree. And yes I was disappointed that those skins could be bought with money.
-
@TragicSolitude said:
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/895531#Comment_895531
But new players have to share all their new event cosmetics and don't get any exclusive event cosmetics for themselves with no say in it whatsoever.
Putting all the new event cosmetics in the store but not even letting new players earn the old cosmetics via future events makes it look like the game doesn't value new players. That's the impression it gives. That's not healthy for the game, and it's not a good way to keep new players around. A game that can be as frustrating and anti-fun as DbD needs players to feel rewarded and valued if its wants a happy playerbase.
I play a PC game that is a ridiculous grind, and every week is a new event with new cosmetics, and they'll simultaneously re-release old cosmetics and let players earn those as well. I don't feel like the game is taking anything away from me by doing that. Even the pre-release bonus I earned was given out freely later. Maybe I'm just too laid back, I dunno, but I've never seen the people who dropped hundreds of dollars on the cosmetics complain, either. It's a money hungry ######### of a game, but at least I don't feel excluded just because my PC couldn't run it when it first came out.
Being able to get them with money cheapens how special they are.
-
@Plaquer said:
So I assume you're suggesting something like the hallowed and withering blight, where new cosmetics are introduced for the event each year, while old ones become available to earn again?
Why not both? Old ones return with a couple added every year. So yes, you are correct.

I have to pronounce things correctly for my job, but some words have multiple correct pronunciations depending on dialect. "Crick" and "creek" for example. But that's different. I think this mispronunciation just stems from the game of telephone.

If you aren't already can you track how many Frenzy hits the Legion gets per trial on average?
Because in order for the mend changes to not be an overall nerf we'd need to see a 25% or more increase in the quantity of hits.
If we do then the counterbalancing made it not a nerf. He'd still need buffs but at least this patch didn't hurt him. If not then you nerfed him and REALLY need to buff him in response.
Where are you getting this 25% figure from and why are more feral hits a threat?
