She is still the strongest, but they made her a hell of a lot harder to succeed with.

After the PTB I made the suggestion that it should be 2 protection hits. I stand by that suggestion.
I agree. Or just make protection hits count for all hits taken when near survivors with a 3 second buffer. Then you could actually get it to proc at least once during a typical match (that you are TRYING to proc it in.)
-
Your queue time is largely luck based. Some people just have really long queue times and nobody knows why. It is not because of player count or ping. This has been acknowledged by the devs several times in the past and they will fix it if they can ever find out exactly what causes it.
-
And if there isn't enough development resources available, the community won't be upset for redoing the same event from a previous year. At least I know I won't.
-
Timed exclusives that rerelease every year would be awesome imo.

can y’all atleast release these in a different color to everyone else then everyone’s exclusives will still be exclusive just a different color way or bring them back for events to earn
Or better yet, keep them exclusive to the holidays they came out on and have them be obtainable every year. I earned them legit and I would be ok with people earning them like I did on a yearly basis.

But to totally swap two sounds? I understand if they are dyslexic how that would happen, but every single one of them pronounces it that way. I think one person mispronounced it, then everyone else just pronounced it the way they heard that guy say it.

In a way, Yui is the total opposite of The Oni, and a sort of "Nemesis".
The Oni carries traditional values, and heavily despise people dishonoring such values. Yui is a "strong independent woman" with a very unique look, and to me it looks like what Oni would hate the most.
That is how i see the both of them, they are the complete opposite.
That's a good way of looking at it.
My issue with Yui is purely that her story is written horribly. Making it long doesn't make it good. Claudette, David, and Feng have stories that are much better written with much fewer words. The reason for this is due to their stories having logical sequences of events that connect together. They have a certain flow to their story that gives us a sense of who these people are, not just what they did.

Dude if all survivors have been jerkwads the entire game im downing the last guy because why should the last survivor deserve the hatch if they havent even done like any gens? No im gonna find them hook them and then hook the last person because my goal is to get as much kills as possible.
This makes me ferl proud that I'm not an ######### when I play surv.

You know, time has changed and so has Legion, the most hated Killer on both sides.
But what have the Devs done to him now? Giving him a power which does hurt survivors but cannot down them and which does also not work with perks?
I mean literally. Legions power can not down any survivors. As long as you chase a survivor, the survivor either
1) runs away from you (and due to the new patch the mend timer will stop) or
2) he will mend as soon as he doesnt run ( and then the timer will also stop)
I mean, nice to have a high mobility tracking power, but what for if you cannot use it to hook even one single survivor because in normal mode you are slow and a simple M1 Killer with nothing left in your repertoir.
I love the Legions appearance and so on but it is literally unplayable as a Killer imo and i dont know why survivors hate to play against him (im a surivor main btw) because he cannot do anything for real. And after this patch I can see the pick rate drop to 0%.
Poor gang. RIP Legion.
If I have missed some deep tactics with the new changes so far, let me know, because im very interested why these changes got approved and how the Legion should be played for the next few months until ...
you know ... the next change ...
Deep Wound has always been Legion's problem. It has been made progressively more and more useless and more and more of an annoyance to the survivors rather than a threat. If you "down survivors" status effect is less threatening than being chased by the huntress with no hatchets, then you have a serious problem.

The buff you seek would bring balanced to being old sprint burst levels so you and I and the others here know thats not happening. Nerf was justified perk made infinites and made some loops to strong. Wouldn't even call it the worst exhaustion perk.
Yeah for real. This guy would make an aweful game director if he thinks that is balanced for PvP. DbD is not supposed to be a power fantasy for survivors.
-
DS is fine. The nerf they did to it a while back was exactly the right thing to do.

It is good for specific builds and for memeing, but overall it's not that useful to me
It's way better than the green shock range addon because it doesn't add charge time and has an even longer range. The only issue is your aim has to not be doodoo

I hate when the devs say there gonna make changes so its fun to play against and as the killer. When in reality all the changes are really just to make the killer more fun to face against for survivors
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/890622#Comment_890622
Exactly. Most of doctor add-ons are really fine. Just change the ones that give him a new shock therapy shape (ring one & long rectangular one). And give him another ultra rare add-on
The long one is amazing though. Super underrated.

Well no, when you write your post with an "us versus them" mentality, a good discussion cannot happen.

Honestly all Doctor needs is just to remove the delay in his shock and he'll be fine.

How do you will explain all negative feedbacks after patch about Legion? You are ignoring all feedbacks/suggestion before patch, now you continue to ignore. Just curious.
They literally just put the patch out yesterday, untwist your panties.
And while community feedback is important, the devs are the ones who decide what they will do with Legion, even if we disagree.
Personally, I think the Deep Wound status is the only thing that's ever been wrong with Legion because it isn't a threat at all. It is even less threatening than blindness.

The thing is that they nerfed a viable perk because of absolutely terrible map design. Lithe has the same issue on maps such as Lery's
The perk is what made map design so terrible.
Now that it's balanced properly, the map design will be a LOT easier to tackle.

I don't agree with the people that say that they only deserve to have their event cosmetics that they earned and others hadn't been playing Dead By Daylight yet I feel that those people sound entitled and that is completely wrong because it sounds like they just want to keep their event cosmetics to themselves I got the Kate Denson Barbeque shirt and the Hillbilly Propane Hammer and I am not entitled nor do I care if people get the event cosmetics that I got so people that are saying "people don't deserve my Donkey Jacket or other event cosmetics" are being entitled and they think that they can get everything they want while others can just not get them and that is entirely immature I feel that the dev's should look at how many people got the event cosmetics and how many didn't and look out for those that didn't not just look out for those who did get the event cosmetics that are being entitled trying to keep something to themselves because they either can't accept other people getting something they got or see something as a memento to them and only want those cosmetics for themselves everyone deserves to have an opinion and everyone does and will have an opinion but everything should be equally available to everyone and not just the entitled people that feel that they earned them
We ARE entitled to a reward because we EARNED them. Just like you are entitled to be paid for your work. BHVR should have at least given us a charm or something to signify that we were there during those events and we worked to complete them.
-
@Alphaphalt said:
Everyone wants this, but that would require fixing the maps were BL could be problematic, and BHVR cba I guess.
I don't want this. Balanced is fine now, it was not fine before. The maps in the game should not be created around one perk, otherwise that perk will become mandatory.
-
Deep wound has always been the one and only problem legion has. The original legion nerf turned him into an M1 killer, which just breaks legion even more.
-
What does freddy have to do with deep wound @yandere777
-
Really I haven't experienced these issues. I've had around 50-70 ping consistantly and have had much less lag problems since dedicated servers were launched.
-
Do you realize there were people complaining that they were completing the rift too quickly? I saw people with the nectar charm in the third week of the rift.
-
Oh my god it is not grindy. I did ALL of the challenges of Tomes 1 and 2 in less than a day each. 1 took me around 3 hours and 2 took me around 5. Tome 3 takes around 8 hours after the changes from what I have seen, previously taking around 10. You have 37 days left to do 8 + (tome 4 time) hours of work. That is not bad at all if you play DbD regularly.
If you are a player puts in less than 10 hours per week, then don't buy a battle pass in a game.
-
I think people were bitching to an excessive amount about it, but a few did need to be adjusted.
-
I approve of this thread. However, remember the wording for things in DbD is often inconsistent due to it being written by different people at different times.

Springtrap (the most requested FNaF killer) would definitely need a sort of graphical update when/if he's introduced to DbD. Something like this:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/793/FL9OZWHQZLDO.png
to this
I wouldn't be completely opposed to that visually, but what would he do?
-
Because Legion. They ######### the Deep Wound status hardcore when they nerfed Legion. It was already bad enough as it was with it being chase based. TR based is EVEN HARDER to down people with. Actually, scratch that, it's next to impossible to down people with.
-
Challenges or not, if I hook someone in the basement and I see someone else right outside, I am going tk try to get them both in there.

Whatever happened to that screenshot with myers showing too much leg?

I haven't read the books, so I may be off, but I do know Pennywise is essentially a god of pure Evil, while the turtle is a god of pure good. And the loosers club beat him in the books (again, may be wrong here.) because the turtle gave them cosmic powers too kill/banish Pennywise off of earth.
And of course those who challenged the Entity lost, they are all humans. Pennywise isn't. It's why he simply wouldn't fit. It doesn't make sense that an all powerful God of Evil could be controlled by another God of Evil.
They have said that the Entity is not evil, its motives are just beyond our understanding.

You're just naming killers who use knives now, and ghostface already has a dlc, so you telling me thats after releasing legion who from your view heavily inspired from ghostface, they released ghostface after? i'm asking you to evaluate legion(male/female) as a whole with his skills and then narrow down your list of potential adaptations
You litereally said "name other killers" then complained "you're just naming killers"

Hate to say it but name other psycho killer who has similar rushdown style of attacking? Existed for decades? I don't recall any memorable killers tbh, and to have male/female version?
Scream, The Strangers. Basically any movie where the killer realistically sprints after their victim and stabs them to death.
There were tons of killers like that in B movies throughout the 70's and 80's.
-
@hocrux said:
You know legion frank/Julie is debatable a spin-off of jeff/jane the killer right? Has the same characters always smiling, like to stab people and went full crazy when he is attacking similar to frenzy. I'm hoping for a jeff/jane the killer mask in the future for legion.
I thought they were based off of home invasion movies like The Strangers or The Purge

So now with the dc punishments incoming, there should be also some options for us to avoid certain maps and killers. At the moment I will dc any game when the map "the game" comes together with the killer "the legion". I hate that map and that killer. together they are a real pain for me. So give me the option to avoid at least this certain map.
Or give us like 3 free dc's each day, so we can choose to leave some real awful constellations.
Please don't add options to make matches harder to find BHVR
-
Personally that's hard to choose, but I have a lot of fun with these 3:
Plague. Very oppressive killer if done right. Downside is she's complicated to get good with.
Ghostface. He's just fun all around. Also the only killer that can teabag back at the survivors.
Pig. She is my favorite I would say. Put a trap on someone and keep kicking them off of jigsaw boxes until their head pops. This also means you don't have to waste time chasing them and can protect nearby gens much more efficiently. And eventually they may stop trying to run away because they see you not following, meaning you get a free grab and hook at the box.
-
Ebony mori should require survivors to be on their death hook before it works.
Keys, I'm not so sure of. They aren't balanced but I'm not sure how to make them balanced. Maybe needing to interact with the hatch for 60 seconds (with saved progress like an exit gate) while also revealing the hatch's aura to the killer. That means that using the key would be dangerous, but it would cut down the number of gens that are needed to escape by up to 3.
-
Survivor peev: Gen rushing and ignoring all the totems. On days that this really irritates me, I bring NOED just so I have an excuse to scold survivors for gen rushing.
Killer peev: Mercilessly slugging/tunneling at the very beginning against a weak team, even though they will wind up getting around 10k bp and black pip. I don't understand why you wouldn't toy with them for at least a couple minutes to at least get some points.
Edit: And regardless of whether you are killer or survivor, please, DONT ######### DISCONNECT.

It's not that a katana could penetrate armour, it's more that it was designed to naturally slice through the gaps within the segmented plates of traditional Japanese armours. Especially since it was more long plates tied together, rather than a traditional European plate-mail/chainmail.
That being said, a kanabo would be absolutely brutal anyway. If someone could wield it effectively, that is. Any sort of plate would be severely dented, possibly restricting movement or even possibly breathing if hit with enough force. With the Oni's size, then I have ZERO doubts that he'd be able to swing it with enough force.
Yee, I should have said "cannot penetrate armor reliably."
A katana isn't designed to be used against heavily armored opponents, since heavy armor didn't exist throughout most of Japan's history up until the more iconic samurai armor came about.

These challenges are pretty easy hoenstly. Even the unhooking one. Just do hook tradeoffs until someone dies. Or just farm.
