A charged hit means you have to wait while you're charging until you hear a "bling" sound. That means the hatchet is fully charged.

Thanks you, i don't play huntress so i'm in the dark about this

  • @metalklok said:

you have to hold the button till you hear a sound q to let you know that hatchet is fully charged

Noted thanks i did not know that there was a sound notification i assume the moment hatchet raised it's charged

I don't know about anyone else, but when a killer puts on a mori that's when I usually play super sweaty. If they don't, I normally play pretty casual and mess around a lot.

So killers put on a mori in case they get a bad match and have a quick out, but that's normally when you'll get a harder match (if you're facing decent survivors).

Anyone one else do this as survivor or notice this as killer?

It depends on how you see it, people are often hiding when they think killer has a mori, it slows down the gen speed. I sometimes just throw an oak offering to scare them

Hit me with your top 5 list of reasons why you as a Killer should tunnel a Survivor :)

    5) You have a chasing daily

    4) They have a key

    3) The exit gates are powered

    2) It's the strategically correct choice

    1) Salt farming

    1) propt their borrow time and get them to mend

    2) if a survivor sabo teammates by going for unsafe unhooks

    3) if survivor has key

    4) if swf(you'll notice when everyone is around going for unhook)

    5) breaking my hooks

  • What a baby, just wait like everyone else for 20-30 mins and get genrushed in 5 mins.

its sad that it takes about half an hour to get in a match and camp

I've had the same thing happen to me 3 games in a row(same killer all 3 lobby) I was mad yes but i kinda have to take a step back from a survivor point of view and access the state of the game. I play both sides and i can assure you it's way more stressful then it needed to be to play killer every single time

The problem is the perks that counter campers or tunnelers a bunch of people say are to OP. If a killer see you have DS or BT they then scream and complain on these forums about how OP it is. It is sadly a no win discussion. There is ways to stop camping and that is why I use BT to save the person on a hook and give them a chance.

I personally have nothing against camping or tunneling. If it is your thing then go for it. I like to get points personally and win chases and stuff. If camping and tunneling are strategies then they can't be mad when people use DS or BT to counter these said strategies. WELL I mean they can be mad that is their right but I guess they asked for those perks to be used.

I hope you and your family are safe during this time. =) Have a great day.

Tbh i'm thinking they just don't take the game seriously anymore, i kinda sympathize and understand why most do this, the game is unbalance with countless bugs and with the ranking system+matchmaking and lobby simulator etc. Sad that the game has to come to this for the community (maybe the devs) to voiced out and so something eventually

  • @Beardedragon said:

and you face off against people several ranks higher than you with all purple perks, thats the moment, that this game can go ######### itself and i need a break from it. Throw in a few SWFs and you have a cocktail that could make Ghandi lose his #########.

no fun, pure frustration and stress. Gens pops left and right and i have no way of tracking from where. Gens often pop before ive even reach the gen at the back of the stage, furthest away from me.

I would rather get corona virus than be in such a situation. This is why i dont want to level up killers the proper way. it SUCKS that the meta is that you level up killers, by playing ANOTHER KILLER just to spend the BPs you get from that killer, on your new killer. you're supposed to get better at the killer by growing with him not just feed him stupid BPs to get perks. But you cant do that (technically you can) because every time you try and level up your level 1 ghostface or what ever killer, you get faced off against a fully kitted SWF group several higher ranks than yours. because this game has no chill and gives no #########.

The Match making dont give a #########. it doesnt care if im level 1 with a killer, it doesnt give a flying ######### if i have only 1 perk at the lowest possible level.

WHAT am i expected to DO in such a situation? play and "have fun" being absolutely molested? i feel like a child in a pedophiles basement, i dont have a chance what so ever. and that kind of play isnt fun.

there truly is only one way to level up killers, and that is to NOT play that killer untill hes like level 40. oh yea, how great that gameplay was.

There's a better way to play a killer, lvl them up to 50 and start burning their offerings/items etc by the time you've finished burning your offering, you would have learned how to play the killer and can move on to the next. If you want to play the killer again, prestige him and repeat

I understand not being scared but if you see another player who is trying to stay safe why run up to them and all around them to give away their location. You may be confident in your chase skills but that poor player may not be as good. Also I understanding being good at chases but last life and you get saved and the first thing you do is run and leave scratch marks? Don't you on your last life want to be as careful now as possible?

Also with this new running idea I see in 80% of my games it amazes me that people get mad at Hag killers because they set traps off by not crawling. If anything patience and stealth is just as important as being able to run. I do not mind you playing however you want but be respectful of others and if you see someone who is trying to hide or heal up PLEASE walk or crawl to them. Do not leave HUGE RED MARKS on the walls to give them away.

It is because you're not doing anything productive, that's why some players run towards those hiding, if i get into a chase, i would very much love it if my teammates do gens, i run bond just to see the stupid things people do while i get in chase etc like hiding, going to the corner of the maps etc and crouching (all these are time wasted that could be allocated to doing objectives)

  • Need to pass on the toxicity, the killer probably has had his filled for the day, it's a pain to see items when in lobby as a killer nowadays, if one survivor brings a toolbox, moris to me is warranted

  • It's normal, most probably knockout or hex the third seal basically blocks your aura from other survivor until the totem is broken or if you're not withing the radius for your teammates to see you, they won't be able to locate you that's why other survivors running around either trying to locate totem or get within your radius, crawl towards them next time, thats why david only notice you when he is close

  • The salt that comes with it(not joking i'm dead serious about this) not many games can bring out the worst in people

  • Not so sure about that, i've been running bond etc as a solo que and i noticed that unless the killer slug, these players who crouch and hide have better chances of escaping. And do take note i say escaping which means nothing, when i play, i just want points and getting into chase etc are all worth it for me

  • Am i the only one who see a potential for more loops to be made? If they break killer shack walls i'm pretty sure there will be a window/door/pallet(basically 2 loops for you to play around kinda like jungle gym)

  • @AChaoticKiller said:

I dont like it when people camp without reason but thats it, if there is a survivor who really pissed you off camp em. If the gates are powered also feel free to camp. however if your just camping as soon as you get someone then yea you suck and wont get better at the game any time soon.

It all depends on the progress of the game if at 4 gens, you really have no reason to camp, but i can understand if they feel the need to camp when being gen rushed and 2 gens left on the first hook

Sorry, but self preservation is a legitimate survivor strategy.

It is don't get me wrong but you have to be smart when to be immersed and when not to, no point hiding against a doctor/legion/oni/plague and even more in an infectious fright trial.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Because the game is designed for the POSSIBILITY of a potential 2 extra chances, but isn’t designed to GUARANTEE survivors 2 extra chances.

If a survivor gets found, chased, and successfully downed, there’s the very real possibility that could mean game over for them.

This is why I get annoyed by cocky survivors that are very reckless during a match, not caring if they’re found by the killer. Why do they do this? They feel they’re entitled to 2 unhooks just because that possibility exists.

Some players want to contribute to the team by going for a chase, if i see all immersed survivors, i often try to distract the killer as some get downed instantly while others crouch and hide. It pisses me off when i see players crouching etc, it's dumb, might as well get into a chase, get hit atleast that gives info to everyone if it's okay to go for a save or rush a gen

Sadly, it's a one time use. It should be unlimited as often as survivors get slugged. I know no mither is unlimited, but it leaves you vulnerable.

Stupid to have the broken status visible for the killer, who the heck would slug a no mither

  • Back when i'm new i used to play for 4-5 hours but nowadays i often stop after 2-3 games mainly with the current state of dbd

  • Hate to say it but slugging is a relevant tactic so it might be best to start running unbreakable, i've never used it before but i'm considering running it.

  • Killer- doctor/billy(mains) also play trapper/freddy/plague/wraith

Survivor- basically anyone i had recently p3( i worked on all slowly)

  • @IFeelFantastic said:

One of the biggest problems with Tome achievements is that... it kind of encourages players--and I am no exception--to play like terds... that is... badly. Sometimes, when I go into a match, my sole intention now is to complete my achievement. This priority supersedes repairing gens or assisting my team in its time of need. I have to admit it, when I have an achievement to work through, I'm often more interested in grinding than I am in being a solid teammate.

If my achievement is for repairing gens, I sometimes forego being an altruist. If my achievement is to get some safe unhooks, gens don't exist to me. And if my achievement is stun the killer 4 times, the resulting rush to engage the killer does nothing good for me or my teammates chances of survival.

    Does anyone else experience this?

That's what happens when they organize a time limited event, no one has the time unless you're a full time streamer to go into countless lobby simulator and hope you clear a tome while playing legit

  • No one is with you, both perks are toxic as it is but serve a purpose to discourage tunneling, what you can do to go against it is instead hit the unhooker and down him asap and trade, for ds, you can either choose to down the survivor for bait or eat the ds if you still want to tunnel for the first kill

  • Tell me about it, got a team of red ranks solo que, one of them would not even touch the gen while in killer terror radius, a no mither guy was doing the gen with me and the other guy kept trying to be immersed(by the way against a doctor) ranks don't mean ######### nowadays.

  • @suksAtGame said:

I’ve just been wondering this and if any doc mains could tell me I would like to know to me this seems like a decent combo

Because it's irritating, players will abuse it by jumping in an out etc. You already have a static blast to gauge if anyone is nearby, so if you down someone and immediately use it, you can tell who is nearby, and when you hook you have bbq to take mental note how many auras you see

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

People have it in their minds only swf can play optimally as survivor. Spoiler Alert: playing survivor doesn't require much info or awareness to be played properly. If you watch Ussylis you'd see how little the difference can be between the two. I personally enjoy facing swf as killer because I play more sweaty builds (slug billy, anti-heal GF, Trapper's basement) and I enjoy a bit of a challenge. Sadly, survivors at red ranks aren't as skilled as they used to be, even swf.

People are not dumb they can distinguish between swf and solo by them perks and add ons and how organized their play was, problem is as a killer you can only gauge that mid-game by then it's hard to adjust your playstyle. It's like starting at an disadvantage playing as a killer. Before anyone say git gud/apply map pressure etc i'm red rank survivor and killer( threshold for red ranks ez)

  • I assume you mean their custom perks will be gone too?

Spirit- Oni has the same background and spirit is a hassle to go against (call me noob i don't care) and her only usefull perk is spirit fury which i'm not a fan off

For survivor- Quentin/steve both their perk pool suck

  • The game is now called Dead By Developers

  • You have to ask, thank me later everyone

    1) Berate and bombard the killer with PM's till he quit for the day

    2) screenshot endscreen lobby and "accidentally forget to blur just the killers name"

    3) Go to forum, create thread with title why killers have to camp and tag a mod/dev

    4) Ensure to distort/conceal facts about how me and my swf are being toxic/looping/gen rush etc

    5) Wait for next or subsequent patch where devs teleport hooked survivors while within killer terror radius

    EZzz

PS4 Players, don't take the time to message the killer. I don't care how bad you think the game is, or that you didn't appreciate their play style. Queue times during the evening (USA) are upwards of 10 minutes right now as survivor and nearly instant as killer. If you want to reduce your queue times, thank the killer for playing the (masochist) role and move on. This is a game. I'm sorry if you feel like your fun was cut short by the killers play-style, but it wouldn't be nearly as much of a problem if more people played killer and you could hop into games quicker - but if you message killers after the game berating them, they are going to stop playing.

(Yes, I know you can turn off randoms-messages, but I don't want to, and this stuff doesn't get under my skin. I tell the people who message me this exact same thing "thank the killer, and move on")

I know queue times aren't only related to this, there are huge game-power-differentials between killers and survivors right now, and killer games seem to just run or cold, but a little love from survivor players would help.

Not everyone gets butthurt like you and quit the game after a salty pm, just disable msg if you can't afford to get your feelings hurt.

I'm really tired of looping a killer for 5-6 minutes straight IN THE END GAME and seeing David watch me loop like it's a brand new concept.

Red ranks SHOULD belong to good players, but instead its like losing every Little League baseball game in a season but getting a "trophy for participating! Good job kids!"

Maybe the david is a pro and thinking what the hell is this noob looping the killer when exit gate is open for "5-6 minutes" yeah right, end game puts a timer for 2 minutes, even with injured or down survivor, it won't be dragged that long, stop baiting, thread does not serve any purpose

Cool, but new ruin is ######### on Hag anyway, I'd like a working perk more than useless themed perk...

Stop ranting, hex is based on hag's background/stories, Hag literally translate to witch/voodoo and hex is a curse a witch used. Read her backstory and try to relate instead of being obnoxious and demanding things to go your way, work on a solution a good one would be ruin totem is masked and not glowing thus people have to break the right ones or have multiple ruins up kinda like haunted grounds where if the wrong totem is picked that particular survivor becomes exposed and killer gets to see the aura for awhile

  • @BaldursGate2 said:

I mean, consider a HEX PERK as late game perk, what are they thinking?

On certain killers, this perk would be really good with surveillance. But as hex, it is just trash, you have to always run it with thrill of the hunt or it's gone too fast to do anything.

They already said they not changing it, they want to keep ruin related to hag theme so hex perks won't go away unless they remake hag

I am not afraid to speak my mind; I don't take kindly to those who harass others.

Shut up, what you do don't matter

  • Depends, if it's harmless, leave it be, if it's game changing then perhaps reporting and spreading awareness is the best way for it to get fixed asap

  • Lol it's, fun i wish you could tell when you blinded a teammate, i once blinded the killer and myself, both of us were lost, lucky i had an idea of my bearing and manage to get away instead of getting stucked

Survivors want fear to enjoy more.

     For example

・Get into first-person view when you enter a locker

・It is even better if you can only see the outside of the locker through a small gap

    ・Survivors can't hear heart sounds

    Thank you for reading.

Can't do that it will mess up with locker perks like head on etc,.you also need a clear view of the killer if you tend to want to use head on/inner strength . You also can't be in a first person if you are in a chase and want to use quick and quiet, basically you need 3rd person to judge a killer's reaction to make a play, maybe can have a a new animation on the survivor side being in a locker when getting grabbed

  • @LordOfTheBald said:

At the end of the day, people camp. They camp in CS, they camp in COD, heck there are a few camped out the field round the back. Point is is that you are playing against another person. Not everyone thinks the same way, or plays the same way. If everyone did we would live in a very boring world.

Accept that in this game people will camp, it happens. Insidious is a perk designed for camping. And bt is designed to stop camping. If at the end of the game only you die but your 3 teammates escape then on the whole you win, individually yeah you lost but if you hadn't have honourable and heroically sacrificed yourself then you would not have won.

Honestly if you get face camped, take the L or hope your team make some super duper big ball plays (it can be done if coordinated) . I go make a cuppa if this happens.

    Stay safe

That's your view on things, there are alot of hidden factors that may lead to why killer proxy, unless you play both sides, you won't get why a killer tend to act or how he might react. For instance upon hooking, a killer may proxy camp/search if bbq only shows 1 person which means there are people within proximity, whispers is up/ survivors disrespect killer by going for instant unhook/ if they see a survivor baiting near a loop etc or being clicky with their Torchlight

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

It makes no sense why this isn't enabled by default like in other games.

Don't know what you're talking about on console you can invite those in your lobby in a party for comms, happens to me a couple of time, i'm playing solo and got a lobby invite with swf, was disgusted and left immediately, not sure why people take offense to that

  • @Vortexas said:

I just got a Three Kill from what should have been a Zero kill because Survivors got cocky.

    Y U DO DIS?

It's kinda warranted if the killer/tunnel/camps etc if you do so, players sometime feel compelled to taunt, so if you do tend to play scummy, ensure the kills and don't complain how survivor will react, other then that usually swf tend to try to be toxic, i had some decent swf who waited at the exit for the free hits and downs

  • Chilled killers not sweaty killers, it depends on the players more then the killer

  • @Harrygan said:

Seriously what is wrong with you devs and killers? Dont you understand that facecamping is NOT fun?

Not only it ruins the game for 1 or more survivors, but it also awards the killer with a pretty decent amount of bloodpoints which is even more frustrating for the survivors. Killers should be punished for this braindead game play because they literally make the game toxic.

To get facecamped instead of proxy camp, you must have done something toxic like being alive after 3 gens pop

  • All i'm asking for is a little info ie: those who swf and join a lobby together gets a mark(preferably same color marks) to distinguish if a player joins a lobby with someone else or is a solo or if it's a 2v2 swf etc. What? Survivors allowed to gain info and killer does not have an inkling of info to gain? Atleast that helps the killer adjust his gameplay instead of trying to waste time and discern themselves if these players are on comms etc

  • When i forgot to remove an item i got from the previous trial

  • Trapped myself in the basement by blocking all exits while i'm inside the house still
