lol I love my downvotes for pointing out exactly the same issues others have with the play as you wait bug. I am sincerely If I did come off mean. I just wanted to bring noticed to a ongoing problem and noticed even Behavior themselves mentioned it but have no plans to fix it. That means sadly for some players like me and above if we want to try killer we either que and wait the 20 to 30 minutes which I have and it can be fun but it is also just a long wait for a short match. I wish you all well and Good luck in your games and I do hope none of you suffer from this bug. I still play survivor sometimes but it is sad I can't play killer unless i really want to sit there waiting in killer que but I can watch tv or read while I wait so no biggie. Bugs are no problems with games and you always learn to manage them. =) Keep up the good work and enjoy it.
-
Has anyone noticed the play while you wait que fun bug? If you que as killer and play survivor you lose your spot as killer. The wait time as killer goes from around normally 25ish minutes to in my experience 45 minutes and this has happened everytime. If i want to play killer I cant play survivor and have to wait the long que time as killer so that may be why survivors are hard to find because you cant play as you wait.
-
I pointed this out and got 2 down votes so I am reprogrammed and love this new function. I am glad a 10 year old game has fun new functions like other games that just come out. We normally call them bugs like we did and do with the Halloween game and bash that game to heck and back and that is new but a 10 year old game has BUGS….sorry I mean a fun new function that makes waiting more fun and no one seems to be bothered even when behavior has acknowledged it but has not said they will fix it. I would think after 10 years we would not have these fun new game mechanics being that 2v8 is nothing new and play while you wait is also not new so not sure why we have the FUN(bugs) but also not sure why they cant just reward us like they did before with BloodPoints and shut that mode down for a day and fix the FUN(bugs).
Sorry for my post was being silly but honest but also know how touchy apparently people can be when you point out flaws in a game they like. lol You are right though the play while you wait does not work and if you que as killer DO NOT PLAY SURVIVOR or you lose your spot so you must wait the 20 to 30 minutes making it almost not worth the long time wait for a at most 10 minute round.
-
Of course I get down votes. I am sorry I pointed out the problems with this precious no problem game. There is no bugs and it is the users fault for wanting to que as killer and play survivor as you wait only to be kicked out of the que time and time again. Sorry Behavior and sorry to the fans who will defend something even if the company itself says it has play while you wait problem….I mean I love Behavior and all the work they do. I have been reprogrammed to accept this game has no flaws and cheaters do not exist even if they fly that is a game mechanic. I accept all these new fun not bugs but new game features or pets as we will call them. I love waiting 30 minutes to play 5-10 minutes of killer in 2v8 because play as you wait is a fun new gamble function. YAY Thank you again for the reprogramming. Beep Boop Bop! Back to the Fog! la …la la la… la
-
@Hoopme I agree and sadly I love all the horror games and feel there is room for all of them but I just dislike how this particular time around 2v8 has so many extra bugs it feels like and no one complains.

I HAVE had a couple of incorrect pallet drops where, as described, I wound up on the wrong side and the killer promptly hacked me for being dumb. While I'd like to attribute it to the game I think that, at least in my case, it was simple miscalculation in the heat of the moment.
Yeah that is what I am thinking. It just seems like it has happened a ton and not just to me but other survivors in my games. I know it's probably just my own problem but I have seen many survivors this week doing it so it just got me wondering if it was maybe a bug. Thought maybe the game when you drop the pallet thinks you are not far enough and puts you on the killer side. I know on at least 2 occasions I could have sworen I was far enough but nope. lol
If anything though it was more laughable then anything else. I am sure the killer was like #########. haha =) It's only a game.

Only thing I notice is about 70% of the time, I get stunned from unusually large ranges and had me going "I didn't think I was in stunning distance, but whatever." Other than that, no issues here.
I noticed that a little as well. I seen a survivor stun a killer from a distance I did not think was possible but yeah maybe its just bad luck then. Oh well. lol
Good luck in your games and happy hunting. =)
-
That would actually be a really good name for the chapter. The survivor could be a person who always claims to see or hear the killer but no one believes them because they never see it. It would be a nice original killer.

Sounds like an actual Trickster lol. Not a bad idea tbf. Deception based killer, like bluffs.
Would be funny to give the killer a perk like diversion and he can throw a rock to scare us instead haha jk but yeah something like that would be fun. You hear a terror radius and run from the area only to run right into the killer standing in another area.

@SMitchell8 said:

That's what I was thinking. A kind of killer where he can play the game where am I and make you just overall paranoid.

@Phasmamain said:
A futuristic killer that uses holograms maybe?
That would be different. I mean it would be a nice touch to a original killer. I am just trying to think of a more round them up killer. The killer can make you come to them. I know anytime in my games when the surviors hear the terror radius my teammates run so I figured it would be a interesting idea. The killer could place fake items that can be triggered making a fake terror radius but the killer themselves do not have one and it scares the survivors from the area and right to the killer.
Thanks for the interesting idea. =)

Wow, so children like you attack people based on their posts.
While I accept that slugging, camping, and tunneling are part of the game, I can also accept that there is such a thing as toxic slugging. IE: Slugging the whole team and leaving them to bleed out to ruin their fun.
I mean, heaven forbid I be intelligent enough to differentiate between a valid tactic and a toxic attempt to ruin people's fun. But I guess being an adult is strange to someone who digs through a person's forum posts to find reasons to dismiss or insult them.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2185530#Comment_2185530
ANd yes, because gen speeds are too fast. I can take Survivors 6.66 minutes or less to do all 5 gens, and the Killer needs 12 minutes if he is expected to 12 hook people.
Killers would camp less if they had more time to look for Survivors because, as it is now, we feel like we HAVE to remove someone RIGHT NOW to slow down gen times.
I don't get why you and Wyle think having varying opinions is somehow bad? It's called 'critical thinking'.
As an adult I find it funny you get to decide what is toxic and what is fun and not fun to others. How do you know that killer slugging an entire team and wathcing them bleed is not laughing themselves until they piss their pants. Also how is tunneling and killing a person or camping them fun for the survivor. You do know getting camped is toxic and not fun so how is as you call it, "toxic Slugging" any better or different?
You in this post tell people to play as they want and suggest to camp and to tunnel which both ruins other peoples fun and is toxic when a survivor is not giving more than in some case 2 minutes in a game. It is toxic to camp a survivor so they die on first hook. You can't suggest to as you say "Play as you want" and then say no wait don't do this because I find it toxic.
I will agree if by some miracle a killer has managed to down an entire team and lets them bleed out that is toxic but there is counters to that. You can run unbreakable or No Mither or maybe just avoid getting slugged and either hide until he hooks someone or try to get someone up. I would also bet whatever amount of money that slugging happens WAAAAAAAY less then getting camped or tunneled and yet you suggest to do more of that and promote toxic behvaior.
I also read how you think slugging does have it's place but NOT when its used to just let people bleed out. Well that is no more or less toxic than everything else you thing is a good and okay way to play and like I keep saying your scenario you are talking about almost never happens if the survivors have at least a hour of playing this game.
I also like to look at other peoples topics to get a feel of the kind of topics they talk about and yours just seemed funny. Its okay to slug and camp and tunnel but then my other post is its not okay to do it when.......If something as you say is a legit tactic and to play however you like screw others then you can't also want to fix the toxic bahvior you are promoting.
It's okay to slug if you know they have DS. How do you know I have DS?
It's okay to slug if it is hatch time or you want to chase someone else. Why not just hook the down person and then go looking? That way you are also not called out for camping and give the other survivors a chance to save the hooked person.
The two post contradict each other. You tell people to PLAY AS THEY WANT and screw others but then complain about toxic behavior and want a way to fix it.

First off I didn't say anything I simply asked a question and left it at that with no response, maybe if you used your "critical thinking" you would understand that , Also I've played since release of this game and I'm rank 1 on both sides I never have to camp the hook for my kills ive probably got more hours in the killer side alone than you have in this game I know exactly why gens are busted but both sides have things like that even though they're starting to dwindle away slowly now , slugging is the real tactic to win vs gen rushers if you want the truth, there isn't enough time to get 12 hooks against top notch players so you run high mobility killers and slug instead of coming to the forums trying to pick a fight with someone who wasn't even trying to be argumentive over your opinion that camping and tunneling are good .... Ok bro ... Have fun camping and tunneling in the low ranks and getting gen rushed to oblivion in red ranks because you want to keep noob habits against veterans I really don't care.
The funny thing is he says he is all for camping and slugging and tunnel yet in another post talks about how to fix Slugging. I just find that funny. It is like saying this water tatste funny and then drink said water and complain about it. He is here saying to play the way you like and to camp and to slug and tunnel but then also on another post complains that people slug? It is just odd and confusing.
-
Here is the link where he supports slugging and tunnel and camping. What is next his post on how fix Tunneling even though he suggest that as well?

Weren't you the one who wanted gen tapping nerfed and ruin to be basekit?
He is also the one now in another place complaining about as he calls it, "Toxic Slugging" and a way to fix it. His response is to give unbreakable pretty much to everyone instead of just not getting slugged. If your entire team gets slugged you did something horribly wrong and deserve it.
Here is the link to his how to fix Toxic Slugging even though above he says to slug and camp and tunnel away because it is a tactic. Overall I am learning he is just someone that wants the game to work to his advantage and does not like when things don't go his way. He says to slug but then gets slugged and now says no slugging and better fix it!

I like how you come here to complain about "Toxic slugging" and how to fix it yet in another post you make to quote you exactly
"But here's the thing; the opposing team does not get to decide how you play. So camp and tunnel and slug to your hearts content. And be happy knowing that at least 50% of the people you do it too are probably screaming about how 'unfair' and 'unfun' it was that you beat them."
This was a suggestion you made on how to play and now you complain about slugging? I am confused are you now the person crying about something you told others to do? You made a whole post about what camping, tunneling and slugging are and pretty much go on to say do it anyway and play as you want. You justify tunneling by say why would I or anyone want to chase a healthy person for a minute or chase the half dead one for 30 seconds and get the kill. Well here is the answer to your conflicting idea- Get gud!
You can't have your cake and eat it too. You can't tell people to go ahead and slug and ignore the babies then be a baby and cry about slugging and how to fix it. rofl

@Power_Guy said:
By which I mean 'Leaving all 4 to bleed out'. I'm well aware there are times and places for slugging, but it's almost never slugging EVERYONE and never picking people up.
I am also a Killer main; I have not played Survivor in 2 years because I dislike the struggle mechanic. Hooray for the upcoming change! :)
Anyways, my idea:
The more people that are slugged, the faster the 'get up' bar charges.
This would make it easier for the remaining Survivors to pick SOMEONE up and stop the momentum of a slug-match. This effect is paused if the Killer is carrying someone, or someone is hooked.
If the bar is at 95% for more than 45 seconds, while every living Survivor is slugged, that Survivor can get back up. This effect cannot happen if you are the last living Survivor on the map.
Again; this counters deliberate slugging. Only one Survivor will be able to get back up, since it turns off once one living Survivor is no longer slugged. It also turns off for the final Survivor, because it might just be that the Killer has no hooks nearby to hook them.
All in all, I feel this idea is regulated enough to avoid punishing Killers when they slug normally (leaving one dude down because another was nearby waiting to save, or not seeing where a downed Survivor is & walking away to keep pressuring gens (don't laugh; it happens to me allot!)), but can punish toxic sluggers who are doing it to try ruining people's matches. It robs them of their momentum, which a slug build relies on.
I have an answer. Do not get slugged or run Unbreakable now you are not slugged. Ta-da. I do agree with your plan though and like the idea but not often enough are killers slugging that much and in my over 2000 hours of game time I have not once ran into an entire team being downed with no way to recover. If that is the case then I guess like people say to all problems. Get gud!
I will point out though your idea is essentially to just give everyone a invisible unbreakable perk if the slug you mentioned above happens. I like the idea that if 4 people are all slugged at the same time then the person that was down and at the full recover stage for 45 seconds can get up. The other lesson could be to not get slugged?
I will also point out just like you pointing out how my issue was my fault well getting slugged seems like a you issue as well. Get GUD! lol

Then leave. Nobody's forcing you to play.
The unfortunate thing about DBD is that fun is directly correlated with skill. I suck at survivor, which is why I get to red ranks and then go play killer, which I am much, much better at. There are many good survivor mains, much better than you and I, who can escape with red ranks. It's just the issue of too broad skill sets; there is a very large range of skill at rank 1. The sweaty tryhards who can win against 4 man SWF's no matter what, and the baby pigs who ambush into walls.
I am very confused about your response. You start off kind of rude and mean but then with a nice point afterwards. Aside from the normal DUH JUST LEAVE THEN response the rest of your post is good. I agree with most of it. I also think people are missing the posters point. He does not I think overall hate the game but probably hates what the rest of us solo players do. When we get fellow teammates who either do nothing or just seem to refuse to play and in the end THEY should be the ones to leave. I would rather have someone wanting to learn and try on my solo survivor team then the forever NOOB player who forgets perks exist and thinks dry humping the corner is the way to win. lol

Best you can do with posts that add nothing to the conversation is ignoring them. Flag and reports the insults, ignore messages like this one. They get bored when nobody pays attention to them and go annoy somebody else.
Valid point and I was just as bad as they were. I think I was to tired and let the troll get to me. Thank you for the kind suggestion. =)

Ugh the immediate unhook kills me! I run Kindred too and if I'm hanging there on first hook and I can see all 3 survs leave a gen I end up screaming at my screen like NO STAY THERE AND FINISH IT I CAN CHILL HERE FOR A MINUTE 😂
I do not mind them leaving a gen BUT I do not need EVERYONE to rescue me. If you have kindred they should see someone is going for the rescue and continue working. I love kindred for this reason. If I see the killer camping I won't leave my gen. I know it is mean but no point if they are gonna camp/tunnel and instead let them waste the killers time while we pop gens. I also won't leave the gen if I see someone else going for it UNLESS I am running BT and the killer is being a pain then I will try to help. =)

True, there's an inherent component to cooperative games, in which you need to rely on other people's competence and experience, and your individual and personal contribution only goes so far. That's just how it works and DBD is no different. However I do believe there are some things that could be done to make life a bit easier for solo survivor in comparison to SWF. Knowing who's being chased (obsession, for example) isn't a bad feature, but it's by far not enough. Things like basekit Kindred and maybe in game buffs/penalisations based on whether or not there's SWF involved in the game or not. For example the moment you join someone in a SWF team there's a cap to how many DS/BTs or other very strong perks can be used, maybe max. 2 per team, items, also repairing speed (it could be nerfed for SWF teams, buffer for solos, or similar ideas). They could introduce game conditions that specifically affect SWF and solos separately.
Example: Limit of DS/BT/Syringes = 1 of each every 2 survivors. So in a 2 man SWF max 1 of each, in a 4 man SWF 2 of each. (2 DS, 2 BT, 2 syringes top per team).
Repair speed in general (or skillcheck dificulty, or number of generators, introduce X): a % slower every SWF member in the team. If there's 2 SWF you repair 5% slower. With 3 SWF you repair 7% slower. With full SWF gens are 9/10% slower.
These are quick ideas, not mandatory. The point is, they could introduce very specific mechanics to balance the matches.
Make it easier for solos, because it's much harder to begin with.
Make it harder for SWF, because it's much easier to begin with.
The more SWF, the harder conditions.
Just letting you know I could be wrong but there is a way to tell who is being chased without a perk. I have noticed their picture lights up when the killer is after them or in the way of the obsession the things around the picture start moving and the picture lights up. Just wanted to try and help. =)

@CustomerService said:
As a solo survivor. It doesn't matter how many shots you give this game. It doesn't matter how many breaks or philoshopies you adopt to try to see things differently. Once you hit red ranks as a solo survivor, this game becomes unplayable. You either consistently have a squad to play with you or just gotta uninstall.
Balance doesn't exist, and unless the killer is very unexperienced and you happen to get the occasional green/yellow/brown rank, you have to get ready to just sit back and watch 3 randoms crouching in a corner while nothing gets done and everyone eventually dies.
Conclusion, play survive with friends or don't play at all.
I sort of made a post like this. I find this game is the only one that makes me yell at my system and tv with anger. Solo Survivor is very frustrating. It is rare to get more than 1 capable player. Most games I get 1 okay and 2 who I guess never seen or heard of the game and never took 2 minutes to read anything. I also get entire games where I am the only survivor with perks because I guess the others do not know even at level 1 they can pick 1 perk.
Then you have the survivors who forget the hatch exist. I had a survivor who not only lead the killer to me as I was doing the last gen but then let me die after blocking the window and the killer grabbed me. He ran back looked at my key and left it then no joke ran PAST the WIDE OPEN hatch. I could hear it soooooo LOUDLY but I guess just like most survivors they think hiding in the corner is how they win.
Then you got the survivors who insist on running EVERY PLACE! Oh is that a teammate over there hiding because the killer is coming let me not only run to them BUT run in circles and quickly jump something and hide with them. Oh no how did the killer find us!
I agree though Solo survivor is HORRIBLE and sucks donkey balls but not impossible but damn near close to it. I have seen a game and this is my most favorite memory of solo survivor where a team member could have helped but did nothing. I was already dead but manage to finish the last gen. Well I was watching because I like to see who gets out and well the Dwight runs to the gate and no joke stops and looks and starts dry humping the SUPER WELL LIT NOED TOTEM. Well as he debates what to do while looking at it a survivor goes down and I mean so far away Dwight could have done two totems and got out before the killer got to him. What does he do instead.....he leaves the totem lit and leaves. I had to take another long break after seeing this because I just did not grasp that decision. He could have cleansed the totem even just for the points and then let the team member die or given the third member a chance to save them but nope just left.
I also see this in solo survivor. When someone is hooked either the entire team tries to rescue them or no one does. Then you have the teammates who think running up while the killer is right there and unhooking you will work out well and ends up with loss points for everyone because it is a unsafe rescue.
Anyway yeah solo survivor stinks but not impossible just tough and makes you want to scream at times. lol Good luck and hope you have better luck than I do. =)

@Primus said:
Not the list I was expecting!
I usually see, All three people run to me for the unhook, stopping all progression (I run kindred when solo, so there is no reason for this).
Immediate unhook, I can hang there for more than 3 seconds!
Drop pallet when the killer is 20 metres back.
Hide in a corner/locker whatever for 90% of the match
Hatch hovering
Tbagging at the gate, then BLOODWARDEN (that's a lol from me).
Totems, What are they?
Running killer to me instead of looping when they havent been hook once (hiding) and I've been hooked twice. Thx.
Do all gen's in a row. Then surprise! and complain the killer is "camping" the last 3 gens that are all close to each other
Oh I love that last one as well. Instead of making sure the last few gens are far apart they screw themselves and leave the closes gens together undone. Then claim the killer is camping when really he is just doing his job and it's not their fault that we left those gens instead of working back and forth.
I also agree that many people do not do totems and then when NOED pops they scream. I simply point out how they ran past 2 totems. Oh and my all time favorite totem/NOED moment was when I was already dead and watching the other players. The one survivor is at a open gate and no joke dry humping the BRIGHTLY LIT NOED TOTEM. One of the other players goes down on the COMPLETE other side of the map. Well instead of taking advantage and killing the totem even if not to save the teammate but for the points they no joke poke it and run out. I about blew a blood vessel in my head with pure anger of the stupidity. That was when I learned to hate Solo survivor play.
Oh and when it comes to hatch huggers that do nothing the entire game but then hump the hatch if I am still alive I will focus my entire energy at that point to getting the killer to find them and the hatch. I know it is toxic but why should the player who did the least get out. I have had games no joke where the one survivor who gets out alive is still the bottom of the point screen.
Oh the unhooker people! They run up when the killer is right there and grab you like YAY I SAVED YOU! They forget it needs to be a safe rescue and well also THE KILLER IS RIGHT THERE! These players should be punished for their horrible decisions. I know when I play killer I mean I do not tunnel anyway but I will always hit the person making the bad decision because I do not want to slug the poor person who was on the hook for their teammates bad choice.
As much as survivors complain about killers being OP to me it is more common and likely my fellow team members just stink. lol Anyway I liked your reasons as well and yeah it is hard to play solo survivor and enjoy the game sometimes especially when I have had games when I have single handly done every gen alone and end up the only one dead. lol Good luck in your future games. =)

There is an achievement to escape when perkless
I figured that was a thing but just seems to happen in most games that 1 if not 2 survivors in my game have none equipped. Then in the case of my last game no one but me had any. I get people trying for the achievement but I have a question Is this achievement console based because Nintendo Switch users do not get those. I also find it hard to believe that in every game I play that these survivors are trying for that achievement. I mean okay maybe but there is always some player doing this and recently it seem to be entire rooms which just seems highly unlikely that I get stuck with an entire set of teammates trying for this one console based achievement at the same time. I guess it is possible because my luck stinks but dang the luck gods must just hate me then. lol

SORRY TO HEAR THAT
i think you may find more success, posting this in the technical issues section. a verified personnel can respond and help you!
btw, the switch is a small and weak console, designed for small games. switch exclusives work very nicely with the console (because they are optimized for the console unlike big ports like dead by daylight)
it's the sad truth, that dbd and huge ports will never work on switch as well as it does on pc or new generation consoles. except for cloud versions
I agree! I love the Switch but my PS5 is my main system. I only like the Switch because when I want to be lazy and lay in bed and watch tv I can play games at the same time. Nintendo always manages to make their system not great but almost a needed system to fit those odd moment when you can't use your PC or Actual Console. lol Thanks for trying to help and it is finally working. =)

YAY THANK YOU! This suggestion worked! I am not sure why just restarting the system didn't work but I guess turning it off for a bit worked. It is a odd system. lol

I actually tired first shutting the game down and that did nothing and then the system and sadly no luck. I even made sure to check every time that the software was up to date and still no luck sadly. Thank you for the idea though and I will continue to try. I just hate to delete a game for the hour or longer redownload time. I hate to bash the switch but the system has more issues than any other ones i have owned. I have some games that when they get a small update need to pretty much download the entire game again just for the tiny patch forcing me to delete stuff. It is a odd system. lol

I think keys spawning in chest are okay because if someone starts with a key it is a almost 9 out of 10 chance the killer will tunnel them. It makes it a little unfair unlike when a killer bring a ebony mori all we can do is guess because sometimes it can be another secret offering. If a killer sees a key in most my matches they almost certainly tunnel and camp that player and that is why well besides it being hard to use but why I do not use keys. I also do not use Ebony Mori's though either because it takes no skill to use them. Hook someone slug them and kill them. I like killer a lot but have to say with keys aside from SWF it does take a lot of skill to properly use.
I mean even if I have a key I have to dodge the killer and sometimes horrible teammates. Then I have to normally at least in the games I play do 4 out of 5 gens myself meaning skill checks. Then I also have to be lucky enough to find the hatch and I have the worst luck with that. Then add if a solo survivor is still alive somehow deciding do I try to make them understand and save them or say screw it and just escape.
When I play killer with Ebony mori I almost think as I am playing well this is to easy and poor survivors. I do not do this but most games I play if the killer has an ebony mori they do their best to tunnel without making it look like tunneling or sometimes they do not even care to hide it and then mori everyone.
I mean I have seen games with mori's both when I use them and playing against one over in less than 4 minutes maybe 5. The key takes some time given if all your teammates are still alive. I will not say the key is not unfair but it is more powerful in certain situations like SWF were as a Ebony Mori is Strong no matter the game. I also see Ebony Mori used WAAAAY more than keys because people with keys especially in solo survivor play know that they will be tunneled. I just had 2 games back to back and the killer had a Ebony Mori in both games. I think like I said Key is strong in SWF and no so much solo Que and Ebony Mori is Strong no matter the game and that is why maybe we see it used much more.

If I know where the hatch is, or it takes me less than 10 seconds to find it, I'll give you hatch. But I think I'm done wandering around the entire map in that awkward "hang on I know it's gotta be around here somewhere this is my 5th lap why am I being punished like this" phase.
I just have to kind of point out this tiny thing to a different argument I see a lot. You just kind of mentioned how hard it can be to find the hatch for survivors or even us killers. Then that shows us how much work it takes to use a key even IF the requirements for hatch to spawn are met you can walk the entire map and never find it and die before getting to use said key.
Oh and I also am a very nice killer. It takes a lot for me to kill the last person or even half the group. The only real time I kill someone is when I mean I am being clear as day that I am not trying to hurt you and yet you act bad ass. I love when a survivor will teabag as though they got the best of you even though you could have hit them 100 times. I had two survivors do this one game not knowing I had Blood Warden. I was legion and the one came out teabagging from the gate and I downed him because I also had NOED. Well his/her friend watched as I carried their friend to a hook probably thinking okay I will just BT them and we both will escape. Well the moment Blood Warden popped I laughed as the last survivor panicked first trying to run out and then trying to run away from me. I did let them live and even guided them to my NOED totem but I hope they learned to be humble and thankful when a killer is being nice and letting you live. lol

I will be honest and say I am guilty of this. I have also been struggling a few times for the game to randomly decided that is enough to kill me as if though I missed a button press.
I will say when and if and its a big IF, if I kill myself on first hook it is for one of these reasons. It is either my teammates are sooooo horribly bad that I would rather just die and find another game. Also to clarify I do not mean like oh my teammate popped a gen by accident but more like my one teammate keeps alerting the killer right to me either by running and leaving scratch marks or in another case almost the entire team could not seem to do a gen. I am a very understanding person and honestly enjoy helping new players but when the player seems to not want to learn then I want out of the game before my sanity is tested.
The other reason is if I get a killer who I see camping or one who just makes the game feel way to easy for the killer. I mean most the time when I get a Hag it always ends in death because my team never knows to crawl over the traps and also for a killer that sets traps most Hag Players I encounter like to oddly camp be it face or proximity and you really do not need to. I mean even if you are out of reach to TP to your trap itself normally scares survivors enough to run anyway. The Doctor is another one that kind of urks me because I love the killer but I personally think he takes little to no skill. You zap they scream you slug and game done. I will still try because I like to win and give the killer a fun game but once again it seems most Doc players in my past games camp as well. They hook you then stand around zapping in all directions and it is like why? You can easily find people so just go get another survivor. It is honestly the killers you think would almost need to camp to get a kill that play the least campy like legion or Clown.
I will say there is no real reason to really suicide hook and I know I am a horrible person for the few times I do it and I apologize for it. I do honestly not do it often because as bad as a game can seem to start it can always surprise you at the end. =) Have a Happy Halloween and everyone please be safe and stay healthy. <(^.^)>

I have a few I could share and a few funny moments.
My first wholesome moment is when I was playing survivor and I could kind of tell I had a fellow new player with me and they could not do a gen for the life of them. I followed them around as best I could trying to guide them and keep them safe. When the gate was finally opened the poor little newb was on a hook but I quickly ran in unhooked and let the killer sacrifice me. I mean as a new player nothing gives more hope for a game then actually winning so I did not mind taking the loss.
I also do this for killers though that are doing bad or just having a bad game like when a killer gets a map horribly designed for them and they can't get a kill or hook. I will let the killer hook me and most the time even sacrifice me. This has actually got me a few friend request from the killers. I think as a kind of thank you for being a nice person.
I mean the game is only fun in my opinion if we all treat each other with respect and treat each other the way you would want to be treated. I know how cheesy that is but I love when a killer camps a poor survivor and says oooooh that is fair play. Then that killer tries survivor and gets camped and cries how toxic it is and how cheap it is. They quickly forget though 2 games ago they just did the exact thing to many people and loved it. This goes the same way with survivor but a little less. It is more about survivors who play with comms and abuse the killer with second chance perks. You would never want to deal with that as a killer so how is it fun doing it to another killer/player and really where is the challenge if you can literally abuse the killer and just keep tabs on them. We need to stop thinking about I and think about the game as WE.
Now the funny moments in my gameplay. My first time learning to play Spirit and Nurse scared the poop out of me. I was hiding and boom they were in my face and I about fell off my couch from jumping. I sense then have played enough to not get scared but I still have my moments. The other day my husband was watching me play and I was quietly moving and I guess kind of zoned out from so many games. Well a survivor came running up and vaulted a window and the sound and just the instant alertness of waking me up and seeing someone in front of me. I yelped and my husband again laughed but the headphones made it even more scary. lol I love this game and the community. =)

I can just hope the whole charm-thing is a joke. I'm super upset bcs of it. "No more exclusives" they said, while giving out all past event cosmetics for free. It's just a big slap in the face.
I feel clueless but what past cosmetics did they give out for free? I am on console and cannot find anything new in my stuff. I know I am dumb but that is why I am asking is because I think I missed the list of stuff they gave us? I hope this is not coming off rude because I do not mean it that way and I genuinely am curious what we got so I can look for it. <(^.^)> TY for any help or info.

I have read a very big chunk of this forum and I would stop trying to explain to this person the issue with DS. I mean personally I have just came back after a break so have not dealt with any issue yet but I can see your point. This person is so dead set on not wanting to hear or believe he has a issue that you could point out every known point with valid facts and proof and just like most arguments it simply will end with just use X perk. Rofl I hear this for so many killers. As an example use Spine chill for DS and use Iron Will for Spirit and use Calm Spirit for Doctor and the list goes on. If we knew what killer we were up against sure but there is no way we can predict the killer so unless survivors can get more perks to use there is now way to always use all the perks JUST IN CASE you get one of these killers. Overall to me if you need to constantly equip one perk the entire time in hopes you finally go against the one killer it counters then the killer may be a little broken and hard to counter.
I am not saying Death Slinger needs to be removed and heck I think all killers are interesting. I will say some are certainly less fun to play against. I mean when I see spirit I am like well this is gonna either be horrible or great and then Hag I expect a very campy killer even with her traps in play. The list goes on so yeah some killers are harder than others but all are fun.....sometimes. lol

My guess is that they just don't know. They probably didnt play the tutorial and just went strait in and readied up
That is what I am guessing but I mean then they wonder why the game seems so bad. I mean just take 10 minutes get the free BP for the tutorial and then ready up. It is one of the few games that rewards you for doing it. lol

The rights to Freddy reverted back to the Craven estate last year.
This means its likely that BHVR only have the license for what was already in game as it was another company and they would have to sign a new deal with the Craven estate.
I kind of figured this already but actually kind of thought maybe they were trying to figure out if the dream world would even work with so much extra going on while on the switch. I mean I love my Switch but I do know it is still limited. I am happy to see it does and can work fine. I just wish we knew if they were working on getting the license again and maybe if they have a predicted time frame or date. I am more excited for him than I am Blight. lol

At top ranks its mostly for the challenge or because the character is new
I get the challenge part but the character being new? At level 1 even on a new character you can pick 1 perk and they start with 3 even without doing the bloodweb.

That's the point.
They both reduce the length of the game, which is unfair considering a key can be found in a trial, whereas a mori cannot.
How does a key shorten the length of the match when if all survivors are still alive you still need all gens before hatch will spawn? That to me means the match lasted just as long.
If a mori is in play the killer can hook then tunnel kill and repeat this is normally how it goes and the killer will normally tunnel to get the kill as well. No killer wants to bring in a ebony mori and not use it.
I am not saying Keys are not strong but the level in strength when comparing the two are much different. The Ebony mori can clear a game fast where a key in order to work EVEN IF FOUND IN GAME needs as many gens as people alive plus 1 more. Then you need to find the hatch which can be a pain in the butt.
The ONLY real reason killers get mad keys can be found in game is because then you cannot tunnel the player from the start like most killers will do. If they see a survivor bringing a key 9 out of 10 chances they are going for them first.
Survivors do not get any warning and honestly no real way to counter a mori besides just not getting hooked. The killer gets a few chances to counter a key user UNLESS that rare key spawn in a chest and then oh no a survivor got away damn this game is survivor sided. I mean I know the survivor did 4 gens and managed to find the hatch without me finding them once but yeah this game is survivor sided. lol
I would suggest to make it fair then to make using ebony moris on the same level as using keys. It takes so many gens to make a key work then maybe it should take so many hooks before the Mori can be used.

Apparently if you use code
"DISCORD150K" - you get 150k BPs, or that's what i'm seeing from reddit.
Can someone check? Can't launch DBD atm to check myself.
This works just did it!

This happens a lot on all platforms sadly. I have gotten stuck many times and even a few times with fellow survivors. We actually even had a killer take pity on us and slug us and let us wiggle free and restart. It was nice of him because most killers just took advantage of the bug and slugged and then camped like they had skill. lol

It happened again in my last game and I took more pictures. There was this poor David who was stuck and spinning in circles. I did not know killers can get stuck to. Thankfully one game I had a nice killer who found me and my fellow survivor and downed us and picked us up and gave us a fair chance. He let us wiggle out and run away. I dislike the killers who see us stuck and take advantage of it. I mean it kind of kills the game but I guess it is a game so it is fair I guess. lol

I think stealth is fine in small uses but at some point you need to take a hook if your team is close to dead. Also in my experience most the stealth players I have had on my teams are so afraid to get caught they wont even do a gen. They will also waste so much time saving fellow teammates that either they die on hook or go right to second phase on first hook.
I play stealth BUT I also do most the gens and am not afraid to save teammates and even cross paths if a fellow teammate has been hooked once and is currently being chased. I feel as a TEAM we need to spread the hooks so we can all get out. I am not great at chases but the only way to learn is to try. =)

told you people use him a lot get use to it.😂
I do not mind but it is fun now trying to learn to play against him. I had a ton of fun and it was interesting and the map sucked for me but I had fun either way. I think I like him most because he was my first iconic scary movie killer. =)

YAY I JUST GOT MORI BY FREDDY! lol I loved it!
