The problem is you don't know if the Killer is going to Mori you; you are making assumptions. I often have a Mori but that doesn't mean I use it. I get more points out of hooking you. You are not doing your team ANY favors by doing a D/C. You fight to the end; that is good sportsmanship. Upending the virtual table because you don't like how things are going is the action of a petulant child.
I know they have a mori if they mori a fellow player before me. I do not DC right away and only when I am sure they have a mori. I mean I know killers could use the less and very unused offering that splits up the team but 8 out of 10 if the offering does not show it is a Mori of some sort. I only leave after I see a fellow teammate go down and get mori after being tunneled. Then I know for sure and still try my best but will not reward a killer who tunnels just to get the mori. Also I am a child *runs of crying* lol

You should see Freddy now, and since he is a pretty strong killer he shouldn’t be really rare.
i hope they managed to work out everything about the license AND they also get that Quentin face rework approved while they where negotiating!
Me too! I would love to be able to use them both and I already have some of their perks learned but would like to use them both but more Freddy because I want to try his abilities. =)

Yeah you can get matched with/against killers/survs that are not on your platform. You can now also get a match on those maps.
as far as I know only the Nightmare on Elm Street license is the only issue here though, on Switch and windows store. Rumors have it that they might actually come to those platforms soon. No official statement as of now though
I figured they have to be working on it because with cross play being a thing people are gonna see killers they cant use and want to use them. I actually bought the game wanting to mainly play Freddy but sadly on my platform he does not exist but I found killers I still like and survivors as well.
Thanks by the way for the feedback and was wondering if I keep playing on my switch if I will ever see Freddy. I figured just because he is not playable on my game that his code is still IN my game. =)
-
I am honestly having more fun now in my small 1k hours played then ever before. I feel like with cross play I got a new pool of players who know how yo play compared to new players on the switch. I mean the game was fun anyway but I like that I am finding more people with equal or better experience than myself. I am happy the MMR is gone and Cross Play is here. =)

I just leave in loading screen.
I would do that but I like to try and help as much as I can but if I see the killer tunneling just to get the mori I will DC right before he gets the chance to use it. I will make sure I am far enough away and before he gets me down just D/C giving my team the best chance. I mean even if I D/C I was gonna get mori anyway so Me D/Cing is not hurting anything but the killer who tunneled me.
If the killer on the other hand hooks me and let's say hooks like 1 or 2 others before finding me again and THEN moris me then by all means sure kill me. =) I just do not want to reward a killer who camps and tunnels just to get to use the mori.

That sucks, that the games were not improving for you.
Removing to see the rank might be an option, but in the end people can still ask in endgamechat which rank they were. Additional to that they could check the playtime if profile is not set to private or playtime is hidden (I think this is possible on other platforms than steam too but it's only a guess). But you are right, that seeing the rank in endscreen can set people off with no effort. And to be fair, in 99% of the cases I would guess that a Rank 1 won't be a good match with Rank 12-20. One exception would be my bf for exampe who played on a high skill lv on both sides and hasn't touched the game in ages (aka deranked)..if he were to pick it up again he probably would have no problem to play again at that level. But I doubt there are too many of such cases.
I actually am only concerned about the killer rank 1 achievement in the future as I collected quite some recently and thought I wanna go for that as well finally. If they remove the emblemsystem it might be unachievable. I might have to start the grind now. I play killer normally quite casually as I am not playing too much. Anyway, this is only a selfish thought I had while reading ^^
Back to topic, I really do hope that they will fix this too. Far too many people are not getting matched properly. I read also some posts were the system seems to work, but they seem to be more rare than mismatching. One could say that those who are getting matched properly have no reason to come to the forum and complain, but well...doesn't really excuse that many mismatches either way.
I do not blame you for having some selfish thoughts. I mean heck why not take advantage while the game is at its most broken point to get some of the killer achievements done. Do what you can while you can. =)
I also would like to say I did finally have one match that was a little more balanced but also made me super mad. This time they went the complete other way. They placed me with a entire team of players who no joke were throwing pallets down just because they could with no killer around. They could not do a gen to save our lives. I mean no joke they popped my gen so many times my 90% gen ended up back to half.
Then on my last gen a new survivor slowly crawls over to the gen jumps on it pops it 3 times then leaves ONLY as I leave. I think okay I will let the killer chase me so they can finish it. That was a joke because I lost the killer then go back to the gen and no one is there so I start working on it and out comes that same survivor. He was hiding in a locker the whole time. He comes out jumps on the gen and pops it 2 more times.
I had enough and alerted the killer I am her and let them kill me.
This has been how my matches have been going except that one RARE match the killer was rank 14 but then once again back to rank 1 killers. I guess out of almost 40 matches now I should be happy I got a average rank killer around my skill finally. lol
I do have hope but it is dieing slowly and that last game has broke me. I went back to Animal Crossing and Xenoblade Chronicles until this MMR system gets these high skilled players away from me. lol
Good luck on getting your achievements done while you can and heck I say take full advantage of it. =) Also I feel dumb because I assumed you were a guy but guessing you are a girl because you mentioned your b/f. lol YAY a girl player. =) I hope I am not offending you and I am wrong I mean I guess I mentioned my husband but I am not a girl so anything is possible rofl....Just did not think many girls play this game lol

And as for the OP, I don't believe that consoles will be able to see your requests as the Xbone and the Pisspoor both have different ways of adding people and handling game requests. They'll have to add a way in game in order to do that.

It was on console, so I couldn't see how long they played. I think it was after the toolbox nerf. My assumption is that they either hadn't played in a while, or they afk'd a bunch to derank.
I know on Switch I can check a persons playtime of the game unless they block their profile. It is possible though that people would depip on purpose which is odd. I mean if you are good at the game why de-pip just to go against new players? How can someone feel good doing that? I mean okay sure you got the 4k kill BUT it took no effort. Yay go you! lol
I am sad to think they will never get this matchmaking system perfect or right but currently it is worst than what it was.

I do agree that the rank does matter, a red/purple rank is obviously gonna have more knowledge about the game than a green/yellow/brown rank.
I've been playing with every sort of survivors since the new MM system and I can tell for sure who is a red/purple rank and who isn't. I had a game 2 days ago where I was paired up with 2 brown ranks and 1 green rank. I've noticed so many things during this single game and it was probably the worst game of my life.
- There was a Claudette who was constantly crouching (yeah I know, most of the Claudettes are doing this no matter what rank) but I really was asking myself if she knew how to run.
- They barely go for the save. I was chased by the killer for about 2 or 3 minutes, he downed and hooked me but nobody came until I was P2. The killer wasn't even camping me, they just were too scared to come. And if they come, most of the time they unhook the survivor just in front of the killer face. I also noticed that they waste the palettes easily, even when the killer is not around lmao.
- They didn't know about borrowed time. The killer had NOED, I came back to save the Claudette with my BT but she apparently didn't know that even if she took the hit for me she wouldn't be downed. I died because of that.
I could go on and on with their mistakes, I was a potato survivor too when I started the game so I don't blame them. But yeah I agree, rank does matter. You can easily know if your teammate is a red rank or not when you're playing and beginners shouldn't be paired with red ranks. Even though some red ranks are potatoes too.
Yeah I know the feeling. I had a match yesterday where one was following me and would randomly throw the pallet down. I was like ######### WHY?!!!!!!!.......Then doing a gen and had it almost done and they got on it with me and they regressed the gen so damn far by popping it over and over. I pointed to go away and here was the best part they didn't until I left then they left. I let the killer chase me and I got away thinking okay MAYBE the survivor is working on that gen. NOPE I got back to the gen and was working on it again alone and that same survivor came over and started popping it again. I will be honest I did rage quit because at this point the killer found us and I was just tired. I felt like not only was I fighting to stay alive against a Rank 1 killer but my own damn team was out to kill me.

Went up against a rank 20 once with 3 t3 perks, a purple, and an Iridescent add-on. Destroyed us. Average rank of survivors was about 9.
I want to believe you but sadly I could say the opposite and without proof it is just words. I could say ME and my friends all Rank 1 BEST META PERKS EVER went against a Rank 1 and time played was a hour on their account and they killed us in 2 minutes.
I mean sorry if it happened and not saying it is not possible. It could be a vet player switching to another platform and farmed enough bp to for some reason max this killer and then play it at rank 20.
I gotta ask at Rank 20 what perks did this killer have and what Iridescent add-on did they have?
I only ask because I cannot assume they had unlocked to many fellow killer perks so they must have had to use very vague perks. I could be wrong.
In the end however yes Rank can make mistakes but it still was not nearly as bad as what we have now.

Okay but what Rank are you and your mates? In order to carry her so hard you and your friends had to have the skill the carry her and protect her through your matches. Therefore Rank does correlate to something. Just because some people get boosted to Ranks they're not actually at doesn't mean Rank means nothing. It just means that person's Rank means nothing. If she played long enough to learn the game on her own she might eventually get to Rank 1 by herself. Just because she didn't doesn't mean it means nothing to everyone who did work their way there. SWF or Solo.
Thank you and at least you get it. Yes HER rank means nothing but their rank was high enough because their skill was good enough to boost her. I suggested letting her play Solo Que without his help AT ALL and see how she really does. I am sure it would be a whole different world then. Then her true rank would come out.

Each player gets a special DBD tag meant for DBD only, it would be something like FilledPizza#c95c (some random letters and numbers at the end), someone another platform enters that code and they can friend you, then it functions as if you were their friend and on the same platform, switch friend code has nothing to do with it
I have never seen that on my game. I can change my player name in DBD if I wanted to every game. Where would I find this tag?

If ranks are such a good indicator of skill, why is it that most people at red ranks, and I mean the significant majority, suck worse than a broken vacuum cleaner?
Why is it that so many red ranks run Self Care?
Why is it that most red ranks don't look behind them?
Why is it that most red ranks cannot loop?
And, and this is the real important part, did you know that the survivor second-chance meta actually makes it easier to rank up than it already is? Right now, to pip at red ranks, you need to do a gen, a totem, a safe unhook, a heal, and a minutes worth of chasing. Not only do second chance perks mess with the emblem system (BT = free unhook, UB/DH= more chase, DS = more everything) but the system itself sucks.
I get people wanting to pretend that they are good at the game. I get wanting that sense of accomplishment. But the developers themselves came out and said that rank was a personal victory, not a measure of skill.
Well you get Red Ranks that do not know how to play because you get fellow Red Ranks power leveling them. Also you are assuming that most Red Ranks suck based on the small portion you have played against.
Self-care can be a okay perk even if you think it is not something a Red Rank should run. Heck maybe they did it on a dare or boredom.
The looking behind them part, can you guarantee for sure they are not looking behind them once in a while? I do not look behind me the entire time because I need to also see what is in front of me.
The looping can be good and sometimes be horrible. I have got trapped in bad situations where looping was almost not possible because I was stuck with a few trees and maybe a rock.
These are all based on your own opinion of what a Red Rank should do.
In solo que I almost NEVER see these second chance perks.
Overall maybe you are having some bad luck with red ranks or maybe you are just that good that you are a god tier but simply this. If rank was no indication then why did they ever use it? Why not place Rank 1's against Rank 20's if they are only players who played a lot but have no skill? Rank means something even if it is time played which equals skill gained.

She did gens, totems and saves and played steathly. You dont need chases to pip.
Also yea she would get to rank 1 even without me since its easy to pip or atleast safe pip. It may take a while but she would get it.
That being said, right now after some days of playing she of course adeptet
IT still takes skill. IF she did not have you to teach her do you think it would have been that easy? If so go a month without helping her and see how she fairs. Let her play solo que with strangers against a Rank 1 killer and then after a month see how she feels. Rank yes does equal time played but it also equals skill because you learn as you play.
Also I am glad she had you to help teach her and play with. Most of us new players have to learn on our own and get to rank whatever with no training wheels. Also I must be playing wrong because I have a little over 1k hours played and never reached further than Rank 8 or 9.

Thank you, it' exactly like that. Another thing to keep in mind, Rank 1 doesn't mean that everyone is equally as skilled at everything. Some people can juke Nurse good, others know how to deal with Trapper or Hag so obviously people experience different scenarios and get the feeling that they played with potatoes but perhaps it's more likely that they just didn't know how to play against this specific Killer, map or whatever.
Exactly! I mean I am pretty good but give me a Doctor or Spirit and I am a potato. I agree it is more about the killer I go against.
-
@Roobnus said:
The fact that Survivor need to get carried to Rank 1 is already proof that Rank means something. It's really not hard to understand. I can get boosted to Global Elite is CS:GO or Immortal in Dota 2, that doesn't mean the ranking is meanless. In fact it's the opposite.
I love your post and it is very true. The people saying no rank means nothing I carried so and so. Well why did you need to carry them if it is that easy to get? They could get it on there own but wait you knew they didn't have the SKILL to get there. lol

I always told her exactly what to do.
When she got chased i tried to lure the killer away and tried to protect her.
So she did have to do something and still if Rank meant nothing why did she need to be carried? She could have got to rank 1 on her own right?
If it means nothing she should have been able to get to Rank 1 on her own unless you are saying she didn't have the skill to do it without you?
Not bashing your g/f just trying to understand why she needed carrying if rank is that easy. I hope she enjoyed the game at least. =)
-
@Pipefish said:
I'd say getting rank 1 killer is difficult. As for survivor though if you got a good SWF they can pull you to rank one easily.
I agree but even in a SWF team you personally cannot stand in a corner and pip you still need to win chases and do gens to get the points to pip meaning you still learned how to play.
-
@Demonl3y said:
Then why did my GF, who litteraly know nothing really about DbD or gaming in general got to rank 1? Because she got carried by me and random mates.
Rank means nothing.
So your g/f sat in the corner and did nothing while you did all the gens and saved everyone? How did she get enough points to even pip?
She had to do something to get points. She had to have skill to win chases and do gens and save fellow teammates.
Also if rank is that easy to get why did carry her? She could have got it on her won then. Of course that is if she has the skill to get there so it sounds like Rank does equal at least some skill.

@SpaceCoconut said:
I'm only speaking for myself here.
When I say that ranks don't matter, I'm specifically saying that a players experience is what matters, not the number next to their name.
If I'm a R1 Hag player, does that mean I'm also a R1 Trapper? no.
Does it mean that I'm a R20 Trapper then? no.
We all know that R1 potatoes exist, and just because they're at R1 doesn't mean they're good players. However, it also doesn't mean that they're automatically R20 players either.
This is especially true because the rank reset exists. If I stop playing the game for several months does my skill decline? Not enough to be R20 or matched up with other R20s.
Rank as the devs have said has always been an indicator of how much time a player puts into the game but doesn't directly translate to skill.
In the same way, hours played doesn't mean anything either. I have 2500 hours in the game, but I rarely play the survivor role. My survivor skill level is 100% Rank 20.
In the case of the current mmr situation, players that have more experience than new players should absolutely not be put into matches together.
Skill and experience are what matter. Not the number next to the name.
I like your comparison from R1 hag to R1 trapper.
You are right just because you are a R1 Hag does not mean you are a R1 Trapper. It does mean you at least know how to win chases and how to apply pressure and a basic knowledge of how survivors play. IT give you a edge against someone BRAND new to the game that picks Trapper.
This new MMR system and how it measure your skill per Killer is just as bad. I mean yes okay you stomp with Hag so you get matched with Read Rank or MMR Survivors to match.
However this is when the issue happens NOW you pick Trapper and it places you with now Rank 20's or MMR survivors that are new or low as poop. Chances are these new to survivor side have no skill what so ever but even though you do not STOMP with trapper you have much better knowledge than the survivors. You could probably skip laying traps and just M1 the survivors dead.
Personally I had better experience with the old system much more than I am having with this new system.
Thanks for posting about your experience though and hope you have a great evening and good luck in your future matches. =)

Both survivor and killer , this is why I laugh when I see people saying every game it’s a sweat squad , we must be playing different games because I come up agaisnt a sweat squad once a week if that & I play this game a lot,
I play on Switch and the only thing I see sweaty is me on a hot day. lol Personally from my experience I see more potatoe low Ranks. When I get higher rank people we tend to do so much better. I mean I had one match recently where it was me and 2 other higher rank people OF COURSE AGAINST a Rank 1 and we still managed to get 3 gens done. Then in all these games posted I was lucky to get 2 gens done.
Higher rank at least in my experience has equaled better skill. When I play survivor if my teammates are Rank 15 and other they pop gens or throw pallets just for fun. If I get Rank 10 or lower we actually give the killer a good time.
When I play killer if I get Rank 20's I can not only tell but take pity. I can tell when I am against Higher ranks or lower ranks just on the moves they make while chasing.
Overall my experience so far is Rank equals skill for me.

I know on switch we have a Friend Code but not sure how a PS4 or PC or Xdud would add something exclusive to the Switch. I sadly have no knowledge though or experience in this stuff.

Ranks do matter, if they didn't, people wouldn't have complained about matchmaking and we wouldn't have this new MMR.
Also yes, you get to red ranks by playing a lot, it's called practice, and practice makes you better and more skillful.
Yes I agree but that still mean RED RANK players have a HIGHER skill. Instead many think just playing gets you to red rank and that simply is not true because I have almost 1000k hours and never got further than purple and would drop back.
I agree with what you said though You do get to Red Rank by playing a lot.....but it is not simply because you played but because your skill got better. This means it simply is not just time but once again SKILL meaning if you see a Red Rank against a Rank 20 heck even maybe a 10 the chances are they are gonna stomp them because the red rank has higher skill from playing so much compared to the others.
Thanks for your response and I hope you have a great evening! <(^.^)> May the odds be ever in your favor!

Exactly! Just playing a lot does not give you better ranks. My skill getting better and achieving things in game gives me better rank. That means my skill is getting better and my RANK is going up. The whole just play a ton and get high rank is crap.
Rank=Skill
Rank does not=Time played

This MMR rank is perfect OH also remember Rank means nothing so Rank 1 just means they play a ton but does not mean they are good at the game. LMAO
I am seeing many people say just because someone is Rank 1 does not mean they have skill......last time I checked it means they know how to win chases and kill people and apply pressure because without those skills you cannot Rank up.

@BlackRabies said:
Ranks don't mean anything, It's a soft indicator of someone's skill. You just need to play a lot to get red ranks, there's red ranks that play poorly but are only up there because they play so much and there's low rank players that are really good but don't play often cause the rank reset every month. (13th)
I want to say that whole just playing a lot makes you red rank is crap. You also have to be able to win chases and sacrifice or save and do objectives. People make it sound like playing X amount of hours gets you red rank and it is not true. I have played at least 2 hours a day almost everyday and never got further than Rank 9 survivor and Rank 15 killer.
Rank DOES have something to do with skill because you do not get to rank 1 as killer not downing one survivor or losing chases. You do not get to rank 1 survivor getting down and dieing first hook but have 1000 played hours. Rank=Skill plan and simple.
Yes It also means they play alot but it also means they know what they must do to be able to pip and gain rank.

I've already made this point based on your first post by so I'll just copy and paste:
I see this argument all the time. Killers or survivors shouldn't get x because they have y and z. By your logic we shouldn't change anything in the game because we have something else.
The line of thinking is completely counterproductive.
As far as starting egc before gates are opened, I agree with you that it would be too oppressive unless the time as increased by alot but then it would be redundant. But a simple regression on the exit gate wouldn't break the game imo.
I like your post and yeah the idea of the regression on the gate was a idea I have seen before and thought it was a good idea. If gens can regress why not the gate. =)

This is after 30 matches as survivor:
So I am gonna assume 10 or 20 matches maybe even 30 matches are not enough lol....I am getting red ranks 90% of the time as killers

Yeah, they've been collecting MMR data for the past few months, so no, we will not start at zero.
It looks like some Rank 1 started at zero:
This is after playing about 30-35 matches on survivor. I have got about 90% red rank killers and not sure why but I cannot assume if they have been collecting data the past few months that these red ranks were at my level or the others.

Because when you look at some of the big streamers and youtubers (not going to name anyone in particular) they are toxic.
I do not get toxic behavior. Just be happy you won or outplayed the other person and move on. How does it help making others feel bad about things or how does it better your life?
The sad part there are other youtubers that are toxic and people love it.....until it is them in a game with a toxic player then they hate it. I do not get it. They love watching it but hate dealing with it themselves so why support it by loving youtubers that do it.

If camping and tunneling is a legit "strategy" then doing these things like 99% gens and Exits is too. I feel end game collapse before the gate is opened just pressures survivors to get to the gates allowing the killer to just run back and forth because they know the survivors HAVE to come before the time runs out. It would end up being like another NOED without NOED if we had to race to the gate knowing the killer will be right there.

I guess we get the fortune of being the crash test dummies. And everyone else gets the fair pairing.. 😭
Yep and it bothers me because killers already get a better amount of BP but now they are sure to get max points by farming us normal skilled average players are less. I mean one round the killer came out with 31k and I did not even have double digits in BP. lol

They will be reworked sometime but
They definitely also nerf keys and SWF
I'm a surv main and hate Moris but keys are also a pain in the arse for killers and so is swf so I can't complain I used to play both but killer matchmaking is horrible so
Honestly Keys are only a pain in SWF teams but in Solo Que you are lucky to get to use it. IN SWF the team plans their attack and they all escape. Once again thanks to SWF keys like other things are getting a nerf.
Moris on the other hand are strong no matter what. A killer using a Mori is strong against Solo que and SWF.
Give a Key to a solo que player and see how well it works out. Then give a key to a whole SWF team and compare the results you will see the key is only abused and OP in SWF teams.
I am not saying they both do not need reworks but it is SWF making the key OP. I hope things get a better balance but at this point I never use keys because either the killer tunnels me or fellow teammates do not know enough to follow me when I found the hatch. I do not feel the key is that great in solo que.

You mean like this:
This is after about 30 matches now and still being placed against more Red Ranks then anything else. I know they said it should balance after 10 matches but do they mean the first 10 or the next 10 or the 10 after that? lol

Thanks! I really hope it will work out :)
I am amazed you pulled through the matches to be honest. I probably would have given up (or went on killer). But I am not enjoying survivor really unless I have someone to talk to while playing.
Guess your patience also was there because you haven't read about the data collection beforehand.
Good luck to you too that it will be better for you after a break!
Btw it is nice to see such friendly posts on the forum :D
Thank you for the kind words and I am a really patient person but the only problem is even I have my limits. I decided to try a couple games today figuring maybe I was overreacting and I only snapped a pic of one but this is how it has been going for 3 games in a row:
I do not get how someone can be Rank 1 even now meaning they have played more than others and still so "NEW" to a killer they think their skill level is on par with us grays. I mean I am shocked we got 3 gens done but that is more about the map being big then our skill.
I hope they fix this soon. I honestly think they may just delete the ranks we see now so we cannot complain and think its us instead of bad pairing. I mean if they delete the fact I could see Rank 1 I would not be able to prove this was a mismatch. lol
Also I have to say right back at you about it being refreshing to meet such a nice person. I hope things get better and I am happy to hear about siblings playing games together. My husbands plays with me but not this game. His reflexes are not the best so he just like watching me play. lol

This is after about 25 to 30 matches.
-
Yeah at this point I feel like the only people gaining from this is high rank killer mains getting those easy blood points by farming us once again low level players. I mean that rank 1 in your game and mine had such an easy time they certainly got more points than any killer gets normally.
I have decided a break is needed in this game and me and my friends have decided to play a few different other games for now until this one is well I guess balanced again.

What I want to know is, why, before Tuesday, I was consistently matching against people who seemed to be of relatively similar skill to me, and since then, every single game has looked like this or worse.
I have a grand total of 25 hours logged on this game, and the bulk of that is on Survivor because I have friends who got me into the game. I have probably less than ten killer games in total. And, frankly, I'm probably done with it until something gets adjusted, because not a single killer match has actually been particularly fun since the matchmaking changes went live.
I do not blame you and I am doing the same. I am taking a long break until the system either works and move these high rank players where they belong or they just go back to the basic rank system. I never had this much trouble with the normal rank system as I am with this new horrible system. Good luck to you and I hope in your future games you have better luck. =)

This surely sucks a lot. If I take in consideration how much I play the game, 20-30 matches would take me probably 2 weeks. In case of survivor probably 2 month LOL as I barely play survivor at all.
With those results it is pretty hard to believe that they collected data for some time. All those threads where people complain about consistent failed matching which are stomps. All those streamer who are mostly matched with people who have close to no playtime. It feels like we hit a hard rank reset where every player starts anew.
I definitely feel so sorry about new players. Started to play recently with my sister (really only a few matches), but with the current MMR system I don't want to even ask her if she wants to play because she struggles with the game already enough as it is. She is not a person who is calm about unfairness and if we happen to get a high rank killer, she would instantly stop playing - not that I would blame her.
I really hope they will improve the system ASAP because as the feedback currently stands it is not working as intended...
lol I would not blame her for quitting as well. Also it was not easy playing that many matches but I did it hoping it would help but still having horrible matches to the point instead of getting mad I will just take a break. I am hoping in time the high rank players will once again rank enough to get themselves to the spot where they are once again playing against people their level.
I also overlooked the fact they said they have been collecting data prior to this release. I guess not much data if this is still an issue after several games.
I hope you are your sister have better luck than I am having because I was almost rank 9 but lost so many ranks trying to save new players and getting killed on my first hook. I know rank doesnt matter but in the end it does because it in the very least tells us this person has played the game and has more knowledge than this other player.
Goodluck to you and your sister and I hope when she does play with you that you both get killers that are more her level. =)

Oh my God, you're so new. =/
I'm sorry you went through that hell.
And that picture should not exist, a new player should never even see a Red Rank until much, much later in their game play.
I mean I was not upset for myself but the poor Rank 20's. I died trying to save them off the hook. I only had enough time to get one gen done but with this new match system I have lost ranks because I literally spend my entire time unhooking low ranks from high rank killers. Then I get hooked once and die because the new players are scared to come out.
The weird part is the high rank players in these matches actually camp and tunnel still. I unhooked one new player and even ran in front of the killer and they still ignored me. I am just gonna take a break and let the system hopefully put these new very experienced players where they should be.
My worry is the new incoming players who play these matches and think damn this game is to tough or unfun and I am seeing many new players coming in. No joke when I checked the time played on those two Rank 20's the one was just started playing 2 hours ago and the other was 2 days ago.
I have hopes for this new system but if they are gonna count MMR for EACH INDIVIDUAL killer than every time a Rank 1 picks a never played or little to no played killer they may get matched with new incoming players who have the same equal MMR and even less overall experience to the game giving the high rank killer a headstart with their game play knowledge.
The big Glaring issue I see is we are only looking at a killers experience and knowledge with a killer and not looking at their OVERALL knowledge of the game. I mean even if the killer is new to the player if the player has knowledge of how to win chases and best perks to use together than they already have a head start against a new survivor player.
Goodluck to you and thanks for your kind words and hope the game goes well for you and everyone here. =)
