RIP jumpscare Myers, one of my favorite fun builds.
-
Not getting tilted. I'm slowly getting the hand of it.
-
The "selling inventory items for BP" idea is something I'd seriously want. Just to sell all those pointless "lol more/less fog" meme offerings.
-
And grass is green and the sky is blue. What else is new?
-
Survivor can be stressful, especially with a crappy team, but compared to the Killer they have downtime. Killers do not have any downtime and if they do, they have already lost.

You're speaking of "good SWFs"... Well, guess what? A good SWF survivor will always run away to an area where the gens are already done if he's being chased. No "tactical camping" here. Not to mention most games don't have "good SWFs", so you can just cut some slack for the solo survivors or people who play for fun instead of camping at 5 gens.

You do realise you can just click on the killer's nickname on the endgame screen and it will show you their profile? It takes less than 3 seconds
Yes, and?

As some have said, Kindred for Survs and Whispers and/or BBQ (without the BP obviously) for Killers.

If you really camped with moris or with bubba, then I'd rethink as to who is the toxic one here.
TBH I get triggered easily and even I wouldn't think about searching for the guy's profile and writing an angry comment proving to him how incredibly salty I am.
-
Pop + Corrupt + Thrilling, that's what I use.
-
He can be very oppressive, especially with certain perks, but quite honestly, all killers should be.
-
These are some good ideas, though having the equivalent of built-in Enduring and unlimited (for the duration of T3) Spirit Fury at the same time is overkill. Myers would be like a freight train, totally unstoppable, not respecting pallets, just friggin' Thomas the Tank Engine yolo.
I think that T1 needs some changes too. Right now T1 is the true Achilles heel for Myers, to the point you want to leave it ASAP. I think either increasing his movement speed (from 105% to ~110%) and/or reducing the Stalk requirement to level up to T2 (from 5 seconds to ~2-3 seconds) should be sufficient.

Well, I made a thread about this. I played the required number of games, I stomped and it keeps giving me increasingly easier opposition. Rank doesn't mean anything in the new MMR. Still, at 1.5k hours, I shouldn't verse survivors that have under 100h and in some cases under 20h. And that's after I played a sufficient amount of matches for the mmr to settle.
TBH before MMR I've been matched with ppl with several thousand hours anyway. I barely have 125 h now.

Fair enough.

Consider the following:
Assuming this killer's MMR is low and the survivors' is high, the killer's MMR is now inflated by having gone up against players with a higher MMR who massively ######### up. This killer will then face high-MMR survivors as a low-MMR killer and will be absolutely destroyed, which may prompt a thread on the subject to be created. You see where I'm going with this?
Yes, he will go against much higher MMR, get his ass kicked and then the MMR will more or less even itself out (after a few more matches). This is how MMR works. It's not his fault, or the MMRs, these high ranks played like potatoes, even though, according to the OP, he did not even use traps.

Just played Clown... They've done 0 gens and they were all green ranks while I'm purple. Never had such [bad word that starts with F] bad matchmaking that was basically giving them no hope. I felt sorry for them. There will not be anyone to play survivor if this is how it goes.
BHVR!!! FIX IT! DON'T KILL THIS GAME PLEAAAAAAAAAAAASE!
If they were brown or yellow ranks, ok, but greens should have known better. Matching purples and greens is not bad at all.

Not really humilating. Ranks are not used for matchmaking anymore
Wait. When a low rank killer gets wrecked by high ranked survivors, the MMR is considered crap and does not work, "look at the ranks!!1!", but when a low rank killer wrecks high rank survivors "well, ranks don't matter". I'm not talking about you specifically, but the general notion of this forum.
-
I've had really rough matches as survivor in the beginning too, back when rank was a thing.
-
2 games as Doctor. I've only played 2 games before MMR change (1 got 3k, 1 got 0k, not even a down). Now: first game, again 0k, only 1 hook, and second game actually more or less balanced, with 3k and a hatch: survs got really greedy that match.
4 games as Clown. Got quite a lot of matches before MMR, but was overall pretty mediocre at best with him. Got bullied pretty hard several times. Now: 3 games easy 3k, one game 1k, 2 DCs and a hatch (they got absolutely destroyed by me and I wasn't even trying that hard; was planning on letting the last one go anyway).
I think overall it seems about right. With Doctor I think it's still calculating my skill level pretty obviously. On Clown I've got easy matches, since the last several ones before MMR I got destroyed hard and that might have tanked my MMR on him.
Fun fact: the teams on Doctor had similar ranks and gameplay time (I checked their profiles), proving that, indeed, ranks means nothing.

They are already collecting MMR data for quite some time, maybe they will use this for the inital score. Or we could get some starting value based on ranks, devotion and/or playing time. Or we get some kind of placement matches. But I don't really think we will start at zero.
Yeah, they've been collecting MMR data for the past few months, so no, we will not start at zero.
-
I agree. Either that, or have some kind of other way of signifying you are approaching the end of the charge without having to eyeball the lower left corner of the screen.
-
Kindred is a huge counter to BBQ. If you see the killer looking around after hooking, you can assume he has BBQ. If he turns towards you and starts walking, then run I guess.

Play Freddy with BBQ, Ruin, Surveillance and Pop. Fake teleport to know on which gen they others are in a chase. U will have much more success with Freddy than any other killer in the game. He is not hard to play.
Replace Ruin with Thrilling Tremors. Check which gen is being worked on with Surveillance, scare them away with fake teleport and pick up a survivor to block it with Tremors. Then casually walk there to Pop the gen.

Erect zombie penis.

Guys, he never said to nerf killer BP gains. He suggested to increase Survivor BP gains with which I can agree to an extent.
-
I think he does need a few small buffs here and there to bring him up to speed with other killers. Nothing major, just stuff like e.g. add the Tier 3 speed buffs to all actions (kicking gens, destroying pallets, picking up survivors), not only to vaulting etc.
-
Can't upvote this enough. They WILL have to do something with this at some point or another.

I quit the game a month ago after 38 hours. I even posted a negative review of it on Steam. It gained quite a traction for some reason. Anyway I had similar problems with the game. I returned to it to give it a second chance, but with a different mindset:
As a killer consider a 2k to be a win. Anything above is a bonus. 1k is a draw and 0k is a loss. Yes, it's not logical, but for your own mental well being as a killer, this will make it more fun.
Still, if you get tilted too much as a killer, go play survivor:
On Steam the queues for survivors are only 1-2 minutes (compared to 7-10 minutes for killers). Even if you die within the first 2 minutes of the match, you'll get a next one in no time, so there's literally no stress involved there.
Return to the game after a few weeks with this mindset and try it again.
Good luck friend.

Welcome to the club. Every killer knows this, but the devs won't do anything with it, since there are more survivors i.e. more money coming from survivors so the game has to be biased towards them.
-
Play killer more then come back.

I got similar matches with red ranks and in some of them they laughed at me that I suck. Good times.
