I know you don't play killer and actually HATE killer and anyone who plays it but come on, you can't alienate half of your player base so much.

Killer don't need buffs, you need buffs, if we keep buffing and nerfing both sides, it's going to be a never ending cycle, when new killers/perks/maps etc are introduced, we have to expect certain adjustments to be made to current perks/add-on so that the new features can be transited smoothly

  • I'm not a killer main by choice, if i can load into a survivor lobby quick, i would have played survivor more but as it is, i find i often just close the game out of boredom when i'm waiting to find a game as a survivor. Been playing dbd way less then i used to due to that

how is it balancing out gameplay if you get matched with +6 -6 ranks. I agree ranks are not skill based but anyone who played DbD for a longer period of time can see differences between even rank 1 and rank 2. Sure you find good and bad players in every rank but thats not the issue. I think its fair to expect to play with and versus killers and survivors close to your rank. The + - 6 seems off. I dont want to get matched with a rank 7 killer if I play rank 1 for example. "Make the best of your trial" just leads to ignorance to an obvious matchmaking problem.

So you telling me you can tell ranks apart in red ranks? Stop trolling, so pls make a decision if you're a rank 8-9 survivor, you should only get rank 8 and above? You can't go against lower rank survivors? How you tell apart which group a rank 8 killer should face? 8-20/1-8

  • Going to have to disagree on that, ranking is essential to fun/balance gameplay

    1) new survivors should not be subjugated to going against red rank killers with thousands of hours

    2) the main reason why people rank up is for competitive gameplay

    3) going against higher rank players overall help improve yourself

  • @Disturbia said:

It's very annoying to play with inexperienced people who only waste time and also lose rank. It's very pathetic and I don't know why they thought it was a good idea to put experienced players with new players. The game is good and fun when you start playing it, but over time you realize that there are so many injustices that you just want to look for some other game. hope someday they fix the game

It's to balance out gameplay, and ranks is not an accurate depiction of a player. I've had potato survivor at purple ranks, either get out of lower ranks or make the best of each trial. Just saying if you're constantly being group with lower ranks maybe it says more about your level of gameplay as well(not hating just an observation)

  • You need to specify the perks you're running first. For me, i usually run alert/self care/adrenaline/plunders(only on p3) if not inner strength

  • @premiumRICE said:

Implying one would have time to complete 4 gens by himself.

just pick bond and follow the gen progress of your mates so you are sure to be there when it pops. Play smart whine less.

Yeah but some people don't have hours a day to complete this task, for casual players it's a challenge but i guess that's what makes this challenge fulfilling to complete, hope the devs share the clear records at the ends of the rift

  • Good plays, i can't get mad if randoms work together and escape

  • I'm pretty sure you're trolling, does that warrant a ban from the forum?

  • Nuh i'm actually impressed they willing to skip an event to focus on fixing their game, but the holidays do atleast deserved a double bp event

  • Solo que survivor is a struggle , i always have to run alert/bond just to know what type of calibre my randoms are

  • Sheesh, did any of you wonder that players are trying to firsthand experience the limits of the ban etc? I believe the ban is not live right? They are implemented from 17-19 only, maybe thats why

  • @DBDfan12 said:

deliverance is a great idea but if you can only use the first time you are hooked there really is no point using it as a perk. better save the slot for another perk

Use another perk then, no one's forcing you. It comes in handy at times when you get 1 hooked, i agree that for it to be optimal, you need to run with ds/unbreakable but other then that it still serve a purpose since not everyone depends on perks to survive can use this combo to negate being 1 hook/camped

  • @Witchaven said:

So this new ban people who leave lobby thing wouldn't piss me off so much were it not for the fact that it doesn't take into account people who get disconnected at the loading in to game portion. I don't know why, but this happens to me at least a few times a night when playing. Why can't they make it so if you DC before you gain control of your character you don't get the penalty? Stupid to punish people for their game crashing during the loading in portion.

Otherwise most players would dodge the lobby whenever they realised certain offerings are used/ if the Lobby time out and load you into the game before you can check up on weather the killer is a streamer etc, they should hide the offerings and only show map offerings/ blood point offering which benefits others.

I have played over 30 games and each one of them was a camper sitting there waiting and if you get off the hook they tunnel you all day long. I can never get a killer that dosent camp and tunnel hard.

Sounds like you have bad teammates to me

  • Bond hands down, other then being able to see healthy survivors for optimal gameplay, you can also know where a killer is by your team movements(you can tell when someone in a chase)

Empathy only use is for flashlights saves/insta heal, No point having further aura reading of you're too far to make a difference

I run alert to track which pallets my teammates drop since i only do solo que, that way i can plan my route, alert also give you killer location when they kick a gen etc

I can understand what you mean and you've made a good point, but when a killer has a hex ruin on and camps, it's unfair

Not sure what you're implying, my ruin never last past the 2minutes, if i get a hook before my ruin goes off i'm happy

  • This topic is redundant, if it's in the game, it's up to you to abuse/use it. Camping is part of a strategy, same as being on comms is a strategy too, let's not be biased here, if you want to punish a camping killer, just struggle on the hook while team does gens, if team is potato, just ######### on the hook and deprived the killer of additional hook/chase points etc and move on to the next game

They’re using severe correctly... where you say “Severe, i'm pretty sure it is use to represent/signify something grave/immediate/of upmost importance.“

    Etymology:

    severe (adj.)

1540s, from Middle French severe (12c., Modern French sévère) or directly from Latin severus "serious, grave, strict, austere," which is probably from PIE root *segh- "to have, hold," on the notion of "steadfastness, toughness." From 1660s with reference to styles or tastes; from 1725 of diseases.

...It has nothing to do with importance necessarily at the core but a quality possessing sturdiness.

The sarcasm and rudeness is unappreciated and unnecessary. There's no need to be like that over grammar. I don't mind if you believe me or not, but if you don't you can look up the term and see for yourself instead of insulting me.

    You're right, i'm wrong. I apologise, there, hope that's closure for you. Rather not spam (づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ

  • Not sure about meta, i don't play daily so when i do i mostly run optimal build for farming

    Killers i usually run bbq/pgtw

Survivor: plunders/alert since i only do solo ques

It doesn't necessarily indicate importance, just gravity. So a "severe lack" of something just means an extreme or significant lack, it's a perfectly valid way to use the word 😊

    Aight if you say so

Its interesting but once the killer hits someone and they get broken they could just follow them until the timer runs out edit.. You said this already but yeah this creates old legion for all killers think about it

Yeah but difference is unlike legion prior, your timer does not stop in chase so even if you loop eventually you'll be down if you did not lose the killer, since the perk gives you reduce grunts etc it bodes well to use the perk as a means to escape the killer

  • I could care less dc if you guys want, that will only reflect on the devs decision making, for now i have a tome to clear and it's refreshing for once, most of the bugs in game have affected killer more then survivor, all i can say is if playing survivor, don't loop around the basement

  • Good news and bad news? I must have read wrong , that's all good news to me

  • No mither should not notify killer just survivor, a great buff/rework would be:

    1) only notify survivor(shows healthy state on killer screen)

    2) when hit by a basic attack triggers broken status and timer, once timer depleted survivor is down and need to pick themselves up

    3) while survivor is broken unable to mend( this provides a play where as a survivor you need to lose the killer/ as a killer need to chase and hit again for the down/just follow the survivor till timer ends)

    4) while down, survivor cannot be revive by teammate, need to pick themselves up

Just my ideas, go easy on me, i'm sure there are those that disagrees but this atleast gives the potential for players to learn to play differently other then the go to perk self care

If you get camped you get free drank, then you gotta try hard and sweat through Ruin and BBQ next game. Repair minimum 3 gens, cleanse 2 totems and loop killer to get your pip back. All killer has to do is hook you once and camp you to dersnk you.

What is this bs talk about bbq? Killer only use it mainly for bp, and from my experience, bbq actually encourages the killer to leave the hook unless offcourse no aura's are detected and everyone just plan to farm off the hook and disrespect the killer, you're argument about killer camp and you getting de-pip actually hurt the killer too, it deprive the killer of chase/hook points as well, so please explain again what's the issue other then you being a baby about not escaping all the trials ಠ_ಠ

  • You're just ranting, take a break if it's a stressful situation, not everything can be catered to your needs, i agree that dbd is not at it's healthiest state right now but i see progress with every patch, most of what you're suggesting is not a solution to camping etc, the emblem system punishes both survivor/killer for playing a certain way, if you're not getting enough chase points and get killed on first hook, the killer is affected as well, i honestly don't understand what you're implying or suggesting tbh

This entire discussion is painful to read. Y'all need to get gud and practice before you act like the whole world is falling apart.

Just curios, you comment seems condescending, are you a pc/console user? Because the argument is in regards to how playing on console gives you lesser control over the killer movement

  • So every m1 killer from now on should be able to travel at high speed throughout the map now? Lets be reasonable every killer has it's pros/cons lets not be bias and have all the killers have similar gameplay, demo already has teleports(map pressure)/aura reveal/able to mindgame a pallet/distance lunge what more arsenal you want?

I have been trying to play Demogorgon and I believe one of the best ways to play him is by setting up your upside down portals next to the three closest gens and play out the late 3 gen strat. While it is a very useful strat . If one survivor Ends up bringing a key. As soon as you get your first sacrifice the other three survivors get to just escape for free instead of having to actually play for final gen. I’m sure playing 3 gens is frustrating but having an easy escape does feel even more cheap.

This never happens to me ever and i consider myself a killer main, this situation can only occur with swf, and usually they are very altruistic, so you should have ample time to notice if one of them is carrying a key, i'm not disproving your particular case but merely highlighting the odds of being in that particular situation

Does anyone else have this problem when playing wraith where youll get comments for cheating for using the "all seeing" add-on as well as getting called a camper and tunneller because you go visable at the hook to someone unhooking after you just looped the intire map and saw them run to the hook yet when you use any other killer and do the exact same thing no one batters an eyelid. Personally after having a whole week of this i really cant bring myself to play wraith because hes simply no longer fun anymore because of this

Never happens to me, did you went for the person on the hook? I see no reason for a complain otherwise, i only went for the person on the hook if survivors do instant saves within my terror radius, not gonna give them safe hook if they being disrespectful

change your build and playstyle. do some wacky challenges. Have you tried no mend legion? Never mend against a legion. Do pallet toss against Huntress. Do hide and seek with Pig and yeet into random lockers to distract.

No mend legion 😂, so you want survivors to challenge themselves by survive via slugging? I'm gonna take a wild guess that you actually meant no cleanse plaque😅

  • Tbh i would like to play more survivor games but the lobby waiting time is too long thats why i go with killer games, if you're bored try prestiging all characters or unlocking as many achievements as you can if you already have not done so

Killed off half of their SWFs team, and they didnt feel the need to call me a camping tunneling killer who has no skillz with a big GGEZ Baby killer to boot... Ill take a "u played well".

You only kill one of them, toasty is not swf with them based on perks and offerings and like i said prior 2/3 escaped thus they are not being toxic, i assure you if you kill all 3 it's a different story

  • @LordGlint said:

I dont get too many of these, with most teams being very salty win or lose and throwing all sorts of insults at me... I like to share THOSE ones sometimes while censoring out the names, but I figured I should also share some good ones too.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/774/3I0BWFI5BWNT.jpg

Figured I had pretty much lost when I saw the offerings screen, but decided to make em WORK for their escape. Not gonna lie...felt good knowing one of the ones I got was the prick who brought the strode key, lol. Anyways, take a page from these guys and if the killer did well and made ya sweat abit...be nice about it. Same goes both ways of course with mentioning good play from the survivors.

Welp the ones that usually complain are the ones that loses, seeing 2 of them escape i don't see what you're trying to get across, off course they'll be in a good mood for escaping, post makes sense only if the survivors lost and send their ggs

  • @[Deleted User] said:

.....I've started using mori's to have non toxic survivor games.

At first they are sweaty serious but as soon as they see I am not using the mori I have they chill out, and at the end of the game they are almost always nice instead of nasty- because they realize I could have been Mori-ing the whole time but I never did. Regardless of the game outcome.

It's been nice, I wish I could use them more often lol.

So basically you're just burning moris for fun? Could have burn bloodpoints offering but no, rather waste moris? What you're implying makes no sense, if you're not morying anyone, won't survivors assume you have cypress mori and can only mori the last survivor?

  • Why you even chasing on an infinite in the first place?

Mostly Ghostface, they came before we had him and are largely inspired by him. A memorable mask, the running style of attacking from the movies. (And the fact that it was designed by a dev team who was older than 12)

It's also something that's largely present in a lot of movies with more generic characters, like Rob Zombie ######### that's just filled with "murderer 1, 2 and 3," and tends to be more present in games with characters who chase more than jumpscare.

Hell you want multiple stabbings you can go all the way back to Psycho.

You're just naming killers who use knives now, and ghostface already has a dlc, so you telling me thats after releasing legion who from your view heavily inspired from ghostface, they released ghostface after? i'm asking you to evaluate legion(male/female) as a whole with his skills and then narrow down your list of potential adaptations

  • @anarchy753 said:

They've said on stream Legion is based on the archtype of the psycho killer rushdown style of attacking. It's something that's existed for decades before that stuff.

Hate to say it but name other psycho killer who has similar rushdown style of attacking? Existed for decades? I don't recall any memorable killers tbh, and to have male/female version?

  • @TheHourMan said:

It doesn't necessarily need to be something from movies, as long as it does already exist in fiction and is not a classification such as "werewolf" or "vampire." Be specific. They must be humanoid.

I vote Jeff the Killer. Worst fictional serial killer I have ever seen. Has nothing interesting he can do. Looks dumb. Etc.

If we're talking killers that are actually from horror icon material I would say probably The Creeper. Just because flying would not work well in DbD and throwing things has already been done. There's nothing that could be done with him.

You know legion frank/Julie is debatable a spin-off of jeff/jane the killer right? Has the same characters always smiling, like to stab people and went full crazy when he is attacking similar to frenzy. I'm hoping for a jeff/jane the killer mask in the future for legion.

Nothing wrong with that, either gen rush trigger end game collapse or farm, with the current state of dbd, i don't even play killer seriously, once i get my 4stacks bbq i'll kill 3 and depends on how the 4th plays, i'll let them open exit gate and leave

  • @projecteulogy said:

Is anyone else worried about the upcoming DC bans? I don't DC intentionally too often. but I have the game lock up and DC me playing either side(have screens to prove it too). Then we have no choice but to DC when you get hit with the locker bug and can't get out and the killer opens it over and over but cant get the survivor out. Player has to DC. I still occassionally get stuck in terrain, being unable to move stuck on a tree root or other sharp corner object. Only way to get out of that is to get downed and picked up by the killer or healed. Getting hit by the killer you just stand in one spot.

IMO the dev needs to hold of on banning anyone for anything other than blatant cheating/threats until they can actually get their game in a better state. It's a terrible idea to ban anyone for something out of their control and not everyone has the capacity to record all their games(i do, not the point).

I mean, if you DC because you're the first sucker eating dirt then take your punishment. But otherwise, BHVR is going to need to hire another team just to look at games to make sure they aren't banning someone because of their own flawed design.

They won't ban if you get disconnected, how you know is when you get dc after game, check if you retained any bloodpoints, for a couple of days now i often get survivors all disconnect at the same time(not sure due to my connection or if they dc) if you constantly dc(leave game) then they will monitor your account
