And you don't have to take it seriously. Or even respond. My point is it's pretty sad that you have to take the time to respond to something like this in this manner. Whether you think something is redundant, dumb, or whatever your little closed mind can think of, is irrelevant. Believe it or not, you're not the center of the universe so your thoughts have no influence on what his intentions actually are.
People are allowed to post things like this here if they want. Even if it's on the wild side. It's just sad that you have to be miserable enough to trash on somebody's idea in such a fashion.
Look at what TAG said. Would it really be that hard to state how you feel in that sort of fashion? "This is not how you pay respects to the tragic passing of a well-known celebrity." It's just hilarious how you have to be such a sourpuss with the whole "some people should not be allowed to make decisions in this world" thing. Especially after saying such a stupid backwards thing like "celebrating" after his death. People have events when people die all the time to commemorate them. That doesn't mean they're "celebrating" their death. And if you don't think that they're celebrating HIS DEATH SPECIFICALLY, then what's even the problem? Let people remember somebody they knew in a way that comforts them. You don't have to be a damper on them.
If you want to justify this idea, why not 8% instead of 24% i would have let it slide, to request 24% and using his death as a plea is shallow and so are you for backing it up, that's all i have to say about the matter. You have a right to your opinion and so do i, don't mind me for saying my piece. Think about the issue here for a second and try to see why i would react that way with the current state of the game

OP is just trying to throw out a nice idea. You're honestly too much of a snowflake for the net if you think it's insulting or whatever, what OP is saying. That or you just don't have anything better to do than be cynical about random people. He just wants a little "commemoration" thing. He's OBVIOUSLY not trying to celebrate the fact that Kobe passed.

Self care is so slow that you would never get that off if the killer kept on you. Maybe if you used a med kit or syringe. But self care will not make a difference in that situation lol.
"Self care is the best slow down perk in the game".
Did i said to get a heal off? I specifically said to force a killer to break the pallet so that the survivor can gain distance to run off to another loop and break bloodlust

Ruining other people's game experience by playing in a toxic manner is not an effective nor productive way to protest a change you dislike.
While, no, it isn't bannable, it detracts from the fun of the game for survivor's who were not the ones who made the Hex: Ruin changes.
If you want an aspect of the game changed, you should post a reasoned thread in the relevant section of the forums rather than facecamp people who've done absolutely nothing.
What reasoned thread? Devs don't care about killers agenda/prospect. If making the game less fun for survivors wakes the devs up, then i'm all for that, what? Only killer not supposed to have fun? Get off you high horse for a change, if devs only listen to survivor, let them rant and figure out the mess they have conjured themselves

So I’m a killer main I very rarely play survivor unless I have to do a challenge even then I usually try to re-roll the challenge my question is why do survivors teabag at the exit gates when the killer gets gen rushed and run around the whole game I understand if they camped and tunnelled you or your friends but why do it if the killer played by your “rule book” as people call it.
Furthermore why fast vault spam to get the killer to come over to you so you can teabag him and if he doesn’t you abuse him in post game chat or over messages calling him a “baby killer” or “your play style is great” (sarcasm obviously), killer is already hard enough why do you need to rub it in their faces no wonder most killers nowadays will run really cheap builds like Insidious camping bubba, mori tunnelling etc and they camp and tunnel you, its because toxic survivors give the killer a hard time so what’s the point of playing fairly if you still get treated the same ?
I sometimes teabag at exit gates to give the killer the down, i guess it's better to squad and point out

Sad thing is, I run BT. My friends run DS. They still tunnel the first survivor into the ground.
I've taken a hit before unhooking to make time for the unhook and try to block or get their attention only to have them run around and tunnel the other survivor into the ground.
Just a game or 2 ago, I managed to take 2 hits trying to stop this legion from tunneling. Only for him to leave me and continue his chase. Bottom line is, I don't want to be forced to a specific build because killers can't play. I like the perks I run.
Same can be said for killers, they kinda rely on ruin so they can play nice(letting unhooked go free) but some killers are not able to apply enough map pressure thus feel the need to get the first kill asap, devs already made it nearly impossible to allocate time for killers to go for the 12 hooks so they don't feel compelled to follow up on it

I was playing with my friends while streaming when a new viewer joined and posted in my chat "mori red" he proceeded to tunnel me and use my stream to get competitive advantage. He told me to "go ahead" and report him and said "got tv twitch as name and complain after that i mori I mean stream snipe"
I don't have twitch.tv in my name as my IGN is Black_Fence I do however had a link to my twitch in my profile bio on steam.
My concern is this guy doing it to multiple people ruining their games and just being toxic on DBD in total. I left the match as he killed me and didn't spectate my friends like I normally do to avoid them getting snipped but I think it is totally unjust for him to get away with it. I don't want to go to waste my time editing my video down and uploading evidence if it is not bannable but I think it should go against the "using other programmes to gain competitive advantage" do it not?
Just ignore, you'll only be feeding him with the report etc, some people get their rocks off when they trigger you and will keep hounding you

I know that the subject is unrelated to the forum's intention but there's a reason we call unhooking ourselves "Kobe'ing". There is no better term for hitting a shot with only 4% chance of success.
Given the tragic death of Kobe Bryant, I think it would be cool of Behaviour to raise all self unhooking chances to 24% this week to honor him. Let's all have a better shot to "Kobe" this week.
So basically we celebrating the fact that we kobe when it happened right after his tragic death? Some people should not be allowed to make decisions in this world.

I'm just saying I can handle BT, DS, DH, NOED, hillbilly and anything else people usually complain about. Paying against the new doc over and over again is starting to get to me.
But campers really just ruin the game, and not just for the hooked survivor. Some streamers do it and cry about gen speeds. "Game is too short so I need to camp and end the game quicker" such sound logic.
Ironically, the devs said they changed ruin and want to destroy gen slow down perk synergy because sitting at a gen for too long is stale. The counter to camping, is sitting on the gens the whole time, where is the deterrent for that?
I'm not saying i enjoy going against campers thats why i run ds, not saying that it's a must have perk, but maybe you should run it if it's such a common occurrence in your game, you have to expect killers to camp sometimes like for instance after all gens completed, so why not just run it just in case? Good killer can afford to not camp but most killers don't fall on that category. I kinda don't blame killer for camping nowadays like i used to

Using self care in front of a pallet isn't tactical. It's BM lmao
That's the difference between how players play, some players make use of all aspect of a perk while some just use it for one aspect, if you're not smart enough to make use of a perk to it's full advantage, i don"t think you have the right to sully it

If you are not getting 2 gens done while you let me reach second stage on first hook after having looped the killer for the first 3 gens, id rather just suicide out. Too many potatoes letting people get to second stage first hook while not progressing the objective and not being targeted by the killer. The archive has alot to do with it, people sabotaging hooks or cleansing totems right next to a gen thats 80% done drawing the killers agro, farming hooks without BT, sandbagging loopers to get their protection hit in. Also, holy ######### do randoms not heal.
Yeah archives changes priorities within a game, imagine having kindred but still dies off first hook when killers not even near, but sadly it kinda justifies as lobby waiting time is too long and players don't have the time to play legit while clearing rift

It is a good perk for low rank players where games last 20 minutes.
Not sure why Red Ranks use it tho. You would think they'd know better
Why not? It's assurance to reset when you ended a chase, it can also be used to prompt killers to give chase as they rather not see you get healed within proximity, it also prompts a killer to break a pallet and gives you distance by using selfcare infront of a pallet, there are many usefull uses to it.

I know killers are being ######### on by the devs right now. I even get the do whatever it takes to do your job, but seriously camping it's still so bad. I'm trying to get my wife to enjoy the game and it's bad enough our ranks are so severely different (I've deranked numerous times but it's too easy to rank as survivor) but when killers camp and tunnel her, it's really hard to get her to enjoy the game.
Not to mention the grind increases for those games since your stuck earning half the possible points. There is almost no way for her to practice the game if she has to wait the 20 minutes wait time and then sits on a hook for 3-4 minutes of a 6-8 minute game.
Camping and tunneling is literally the only thing about this game, I truely despise. Everything else I take because it's in the game so it's fair game. NOED, I just cleanse the totems. Old hex ruin, I just cleansed the totems. Doctor, I just run around constantly and usually die. Freddy, like Deadpool to Juggernaut I just drool over my idol. Killers standing 5-10m away on first hook, really just makes me hate the game.
Everything else you can take? There's nothing left to take 😂. Sadly some killer feel compelled to do this as players usually attempt to unhook before getting to second state, and unless hooked in basement, players will make it happen even if they have to trade

While I respect your opinion, I have to disagree. Ruin didn't stop killers from being able to get kills or win. It's the fact that it became such a crutch for a vast majority that they can't seem to function straight without it. Now don't get me wrong, I know how useful Ruin was, but it was usually gone within the first minute, so there's no real difference. The new Ruin is actually good if survivors don't purge it instantly. Killers just need to start using newer tactics instead of just praying 4 survivors will just happily stroll around for 2 minutes searching for a Totem.
The difference is survivors don't feel compelled to get off gens instantly when they see a hex skillcheck, prior even if they are gone pretty quick, it's still time wasted looking for ot and if you're lucky in a good spot

Wraith bodyblocked one survivor in one of the solo gen rooms in Haddonfield. We finished all 5 gens and refused to open the exit gates. We are still in the match at the time of me posting this. I invited the other survivors into a chat and we aren't opening any exits until the Wraith either moves or quits. We have the guy's PlayStation Network ID. Where do I go to properly report this behavior?
Not bannable, you can still trigger end game collapsed, noticed you kept addressing "we" i assume swf? The fact that you're not opening the gate despite the blocked survivor not being on the hook nor injured speak volumes of the untold story of the trial, seems like a 1 sided story to me, the killer could have a cypress mori and we all know how arrogant/toxic swf can get, not saying that you were in the first place 👌🏽.

Dead Hard is just so universal and doesn't care about maps, unlike Balanced or Lithe and is activated when the survivor chooses unlike Sprint Burst.
Decisive Strike is used to stop tunnelling (or it is by me anyway) because spme killers dont care that survivors are people too.
Unbreakable is for slugging because they've been slugged for running DS.
Prove Thyself doesn't do much at all.
Most of the Survivor meta perks are just universally applicable.
NoED is just infuriating because there is zero warning. The only other Exposure effect that isn't given to you instantly is Devour Hope. THAT is the main problem that I have.
Bunch of babies, all you have to do is cleanse the totems, not hard to do or all you guys want to do is rush gens? If noed is active, it's your team's fault

No, it's mainly due to lack of killers being in game, you'll start noticing weird ranks matchmaking more often now and i reckon they'll start tweaking the "VALUES" of matchmaking now and just say that it's the new matchmaking making you get broader killer ranks when it's the latter which is lack of killers in-game

Getting tired of killers immediately assuming every swf I play in is some .000000000000005% meta gen rush squad and bring out the most sweaty killers and builds with an ebony mori and proceeds to ghostface tbag the entire match and mori everyone off a two hook because we didn't play perfect and loop him for 3 gens a chase so we get punished with getting tunneled into death... devs please do something about mori's they are broken and make the game utterly unfun for survivors and give no points to anyone.
My suggestion is simple, leave cypress as is, make ivory mori work only when you get one survivor to death hook status, and ebony work when you can kill all survivors only when they are death hook, why this hasn't been done is beyond me. Even as a player who enjoy's both sides fervently this change should have been done a long time ago.
Entitled survivor after just 1 game of not escaping 😂, who do you think promote this style of gameplay? Killers wanna play nice but i kinda have to accept the fact nowadays of possibility getting 1 hooked and wait another 15-20mins for another lobby

Now that ruins been gimped people are just running ivories and tunneling and moriing the first survivor so if im unlucky i get like a 2 minute long depip game after waiting about like 15 minutes for a que... Such fun gameplay... Even though i didn't ask for the ruin nerfs.
I don't see depip as an issue here, as a survivor what killer you get is depending on which rank the current killer in the lobby is, they don't have enough killers playing now to group you with a killer close to your rank

For some reason the survivor challenge, Protect Forever, doesn't seem to be working for me.
Here is the challenge description:
Unhook a survivor safely or take a protection hit 4 time(s) while using We're Gonna Live Forever.

Now I haven't tried to take protection hits, because they quite frankly don't work, but I unhook survivors safely and it doesn't give it to me. Now, I would understand if it said "unhook a survivor safely AND take a protection hit 4 time(s)" but it doesn't say that, it says "or" meaning I have a choice to do one or the other. Not both, right?
I misunderstood the first time too, i thought either get a safe unhook or get 4 protection hits, you basically need 4 stacks of we're gonna life forever

I am by no means a great player, but I pride myself on always doing something.
People are.doing challenges, ain't got time to help you, everyone is trying to rush especially with lack of killer lobby, they don't want to play legit just to fail their challenges and wait another 15-30mins for another lobby

To add to that, they were by the Exit Gates. My best bet was the injured survivor or no survivor. I wasn’t expecting DS, but I forget that’s just another chance the devs have given survivors at a hope of survival.
Ah that sucks man, nothing much you can do honestly then, just get to the next game, devs won't cater to this issue, been brought up countless times
-
Your fault, learn to manage/spread pressure throughout the map, why chase someone not doing anything? And to down an unhook survivor and pick up, you're asking to be get ds, next time hit the unhooked and commit to him/her. Best thing you can do in that situation is to trade
-
Yeah solo ques are the worst and i never swf, best thing to do is to use bond to gauge your teammates performance, if you see someone being immersed and not being usefull, take note and when being chase, lead the killer toward them🤫. And let them get chase while you do objectives
-
From my experience, they only dc when you camp the hook, if you play fair and not tunnel off the bat etc players usually just kill themselves off the hook, and seeing that you're using insidious instead of territorial, i can guess why the dc/ragequit

I'm not as active as i used to be on dbd partly because of que times, i'm 50/50 on this issue, i'm a solo que survivor and the randoms i get matched with are ridiculous i kinda understand why players opt for swf but on the flipside playing killer at red ranks is stressful, you need to manage your time and weigh out the pros and cons of getting into a chase to be optimal and spread pressure

Its actually a pretty common tactic to see with Doc since you can generally force ppl to waste time snapping out of madness 3 while at the same time breaking pallets in the general area of the 3 gens youve decided to stay on. Eventually it just results in a giant dead zone with survivors struggling to make ANY progress between being chased off, left injured and having to snap out of it again.
If you say so, but like i said i never experienced this and i can only speak on what i've experience. I'm a red rank survivor(not bragging, merely emphasizing experience). Don't think you can do this at red ranks just saying
-
Sometimes to keep silent is the best thing to do, you have no idea what you're talking about, what does that matter when console and pc will never collide worlds. Console players learn to adapt be it 360/limited swing rotation/moonwalk etc. The main issue is actually the sales bait they made oni out to be, no other killer released has that much stark difference overall performance in between platforms and it leaves a sour taste in the community mouth.

Did you only read the title?
From the start of the game, the killers patrol three gens and won't chase. My teammates are not hiding because they don't even need to be - they're doing the other gens that the killer hasn't even checked once, not realizing what's going on. I try over and over again to get one of the three gens done, only for the killer to smack me, kick the gen, then go check the other two. Rinse and repeat for the entire game.
No i read your article,.what you're saying makes no sense if patrolling alone killer won't assure a 3 gen lockdown and i have never went against killers who did so like you implied ( not chase and continuously lockdown 3 gen without chase)

Not sure what you mean by "What you're implying is hiding and waiting for the killer to be away before jumping on a gen." I have games where the only chase the killer will partake in is to get me off one of the three gens they're patrolling so they can kick it and go check the other two. It's literally been impossible to get gens done when a killer just will not chase at all. I almost never bring in toolboxes so I can't sabotage hooks but I do do totems and run Small Game. Even so, that won't fix that eventually there are going to be four gens done, and the killer has been patrolling the same area the whole game, doing nothing but smacking me once and kicking the same three gens.
From what you're title says, i assume killer is patrolling because people are hiding, with 3gens up i don't see why killer won't chase unless survivors are all hiding and not doing anything

So you're saying there's no counter. If I am aware from the start that the killer is doing this, going to the opposite side of the map and doing gens he's not patrolling doesn't fix the situation at all. I'm always aware that the three gen could happen and actively do my best to avoid it. If a killer chooses to do this from the start and I'm not on comms with teammates, there's nothing I've been able to do.
Why bring comms up? I'm a solo que survivor, you have perks and icons status to communicate. What you're implying is hiding and waiting for the killer to be away before jumping on a gen, if you're in a chase, you're contributing to your teammates, it's up to them to be optimal during the chase period like planning out gens/sabo hooks/break totems etc
-
It's not something that needed counter, it's more to map awareness, a good strat i would say is avoid jumping on a gen with more then 2 players and go to the opposite side of the map

with 22k average players this seems stupid long to wait. Even on Friday the 13th with a very small player base, the lobbies are instant. So what is the issue with dbd and lobby wait times?
First and foremost, you have no idea what you talking about in regards to killers vs survivors. I get instant lobby as killer and for survivors i usually idle for 10-15min maybe more to get into a lobby with bad ping. I switch to killer due to waiting time and i realised i often close game more when trying to play survivor due to lobby as i just don't feel like waiting to play

Some players felt compelled to camp the hook as they can't spread pressure throughout, that's why they felt compelled to camp etc, if players are killing themselves on the hook while basement build is on constantly, most probably you're camping and they don't want to reward/promote that gamestyle thus the dc's
