I never use DS, but I feel bad for those that do. It seems like it will be useless after the change. Good job killers. You got what you have been crying for.............. again.......

So unhooker is hiding and i found unhooked survivor and want to slug him. He Hops into a locker. Now i can't do #########. You should be able to slug whenever you want
If you are good enough, you shouldn't have to rely on slugging to begin with.

Someone mentioned the emblem system, which we all know, decides if you pip or not. Back in the day, it was like you could pip by getting x amount of bp. Even though I stay in red ranks as survivor, I have never liked it from the day it started. I was playing long before the emblem system, and liked it the way it was. The emblem system puts you in a position where you must do things that you may not want to do or may not be good at, like being chased. Not everyone can loop and juke, so they prefer to be stealthy ( that's me ). Having to put ourselves out there makes us an easy target and decreases the strength and productivity of the team. Sneaky saves, breaking the bones, and a gen ninja is my way.

Or BHVR could fix the game and make killer less frustrating. That would make more people play killer.
Exactly. Put players against other players of equal skill giving both sides a fair chance to win.

That's not what I'm saying at all. People can play how they want. I could care less if they decided to go stand in the corner for 25 minutes. The fact is, I play the game to actually interact with it. Not stare at other people doing it for me. Would you in reality buy a game at full price and then enjoy watching others play it while you're stuck unable to do anything? That's my point I'm trying to make. I could care less if I die in my matches, but I like to at least get to play something of it.
Agreed

Only claudette. I have every killer and survivor at lvl. 50 and loaded with perks. I don't prestige because it sucks starting over and repeating the bloodweb. A bloody cosmetic that i will rarely use isn't worth trouble.

To be clear, when I say "take advantage," I mean getting any sort of benefit out of it, not exploiting it to slaughter the whole team in a couple minutes.
Which unfortunately, use to happen more often than we'd like. I'm glad it doesn't now, because that sucked.
-
Tunneling, slugging, randoms not helping or killing themselves. Yeah, it's been " fun "..
-
Taking advantage of mori's. Finally, someone admits to what we all already knew. I for one really like the change. It was overdue, and I haven't seen a mori since. Survivors being able to actually play and not be dead in 2 minutes is nice..
-
It's not gen rushing people. It's a good, experienced team that knows what the hell they're doing. Like 2 on a gen when the killer comes. One takes the killer while the other finishes the gen. It's up to the killer to apply pressure, which isn't always easy and can be costly.

Heh, friends... wish I had those...
Randoms are unreliable, and most look out for themselves. I have two swf teams that I run with.

Take out totems..... easy.... have a good team with a little know-how, and no problem..

Every Twin I've gone against got a 4k. All they do is slug.
Yup. And use Victor to tunnel off the hook. With the change to mori's, killers are gonna come up with some crazy strategies..

@Mugombo said:
Imagine thinking making the mori weaker is a bad thing and ruining the game. Lol. Please play something else then
Mori change was needed, long awaited, and one of the best changes in 3+ years.
-
Dependent on mori's are we? No more doing matches in a quarter of the time. 8 hooks now instead of 4. I like it. Survivors can actually play a little before being killed. I didn't see a mori at all last night and It was nice.
On a different note, i noticed when I was playing killer that my wait times were much longer than usual. I started thinking that killer mains were switching to survivor, or just stop playing altogether because of the mori change.

@xenotimebong said:
Moris are stronger than keys so I’m glad they went first.
Agreed. Keys should be left alone though. Think about it. Keys are situational, and require some effort to be effective. Survive long enough to be the last survivor, or have the proper gen/survivor ratio. Also take into account of the killer closing the hatch and hopefully being able to reopen it without getting caught.
-
If this is true, IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME. Being hooked and mori'd early in a match and being unable to do anything sucked ass, and was miserable for that player. Now I'm sure killers will find a way around it. Hook, tunnel, hook, tunnel, mori will be next, or just face camp. Either way, while the killer is wasting time doing that, gens will be popping. Killers may finally have to use skill and put forth some effort..... what a shame..... before yall throw crap my way I am red rank survivor and green rank killer.

- Leave Victor at hook
- Go chase someone else
- KI procs when someone goes to save
- Swap to Victor
That's shady abuse of power.
-
Some survivors are just as try hard as some killers, and just want to get in and get out. I have had many matches where I gave every hint possible to let survivors know that I am not killing but just earning bp and they were like " nope ". Some even messaged afterwards saying " just play the f'ng game ". It's ok to relax and have a laid-back match once in a while.

There is 1 down side with breakable walls tho.
It wastes time of the killer, and more often than not, the killer has to break it otherwise there is an infinite loop.
Exception of the school in badham, there is is better to keep both entrances closed
I was a little irritated when they did that to the school. That was my go to when being chased, like the house in crotus penn. I guess killers didn't like not being able to catch survivors, so they cried enough and it was made easier for them.
-
There seems to be more breakable walls now from what i have noticed. That lessens the chance of getting away. ( god forbid that happens ). Soon all survivors will be able to do is run in a straight line.

You can use the key by doing no work at all. You can sit around and do nothing while your team does the work or dies. It is a terrible way to play but it happens way more than it should.
That Is true. I prefer to work for my reward personally. It's more satisfying.
-
Keys are fine. Leave them alone. You actually have to do some work for them to be used and even then there's no guarantee that you'll stay alive to use it.

How much more power do you need before you are all happy. I mean, a basic killer can be hard to beat in the hands of an experienced player. Throw in abilities / powers, and damn. i.e. is the doctor. Just spam shock therapy and static blast, and he is very effective. Trapper even. Weak in the beginning, but with good trap placement he can have a pretty strong end game.
-
Yeah. I hate it when i die, and the useless potato heads get away benefitting from my hard work.

Egc was never ment to be a serious thing, it already has play potential with triggering noed/blood warden if u open the door urself. Get tired of seeing baby killers such as urself say survivor must be easy, theyve added doors to alot of areas that screw survs over, taken alot of strong loops aswell yet there's no mass out cry from them. If u incline on easy lets talk the exit gates literally side by side on most maps, I don't see u rallying for that to change? Why's that, need a easy kill/win?. If ur not gonna input valuable balancing information it'd be best to stay quiet with the rest of the good kids
Anything to make easy even easier. The more challenging it is, the less they like it.
-
I want to win just as much as anyone, but I refuse to play in a way that makes the match miserable. Here recently, I have been allowing survivors to do challenges and getting mine done at the same time. When I want to kill, I kill. When I don't, I don't.
-
I play like that quite often. Challenges, dailies, just messing around. I like for the survivors to enjoy the match, not be so miserable that they just want it over.

This issue is why a friend of mine quit 10 minutes after downloading the game. He downloaded it from the Xbox Gamepass so thankfully he didn't spend anything, but that's still not the point. I suggested Killer because it was more interactive and can be fun. He got a smurf squad SWF team, 1 Rank 16, the rest Rank 1. They even brought OoO for christ sake. Since he was new he didn't realise that they knew everything he did thanks to that single perk. And they knew it. They just taunted at him, flashlighted him constantly, and just overall BM. I don't even bother recommending this game to anyone anymore, hell, I deter them away from it. The fact that new players can be subject to toxic behaviour for peoples own amusement is very telling, especially when the devs allow this to happen.
Well Said
-
They want you to leave, so they can move on to the next match.
-
I like the real world physics comment that someone stated earlier. That would be nice to have in the game. The killer must actually make contact.

"Not winning makes the game miserable"
as long as I'm having a fun and enjoyable match I don't give to shits about winning.

Don't let people's ignorance push you away. If you luv the game, and enjoy it , then be the better person. Brush it off and keep on playing.

@StardustSpeedway said:
I feel the same way. Sometimes I face off an obvious inexperienced killer, so after I let him chase me for a bit, I will stop by the hook and point at it so the killer can at least get some hooks, or I'll let EGC get me. I have been there not being able to get any hooks so I can imagine how frustrated they might be playing a match getting gen rushed or chasing multiple survivors without any hooks.
If I'm killer, I can also tell when I'm facing not very good survivors. I'll 2 hook them, give them chases, and ultimately let them escape. I always get thank yous afterwards if they're on PS4.
My twin. Lol. I do that as well. Ps4 also.
-
They interfere with the game, because people get so focused on them that they forget about the match and get themselves killed trying to get them done which can screw their teammates.
-
So basically, you're ranting about survivors playing the game, and trying to survive. Killers do what they have to do to kill. Survivors do what they have to do to survive.
-
It's not what you use. It's how you use it. Perks, items, add ons, abilities, ect.
-
That's a dumb idea. Just hit them. How bad are you at playing killer to ask for that kind of ability.
-
@Godot said:
What about Killers who use meta perks, an Ebony Mori and end the game within 5 minutes, forcing Survivors to literally DC because of how overpowered they are?
Yes yes, I don't care about whataboutism. Shut up.
Well said. Thing is, it's ok for killers to play that way, but if survivors run in and knock out gens, and leave the killer with nothing their world falls apart.
-
@ABannedCat said:
I dont understand survivors. How is hanging on the hook less boring than laying on the floor? Atleast on the floor you can still move around.
Plus the killer gets into a chase quicker, which is the only exciting part for survivors - the chase.
Not entirely true. Survivors like myself don't particularly like, or want to be chased unless we have to be. Gens, totems, chests, unhook, and heals I'll do all day long. Chases I try to avoid.
-
Very scummy, and miserable for the survivors. Do you think they want to spend the entire match crawling around on the ground. NO..... don't be an ass. Just hook them. Killers focus so much on " winning " that they'll play any kind of way to get it. Most players I know would just dc, and move on rather than have their fun ruined, and time wasted. That being said, I know survivors can be a pain in the ass as well, but they don't ruin a match near as bad as killers do.
-
If it's a good hard fought match where both sides gave their all with no toxicity or scummy tactics it's definitely a gg.
-
People from all walks of life play this game. Like someone said earlier. There's a human being on the other side, and we have no idea what that person could be battling. Color blindness, vertigo, ptsd, hearing problems just to name a few. A long time ago someone that I know was playing a match, and was told to go hang themselves afterwards. There's no reason for that. Think, and remember that it's just a game before you slam someone with a potentially harmful comment.

I feel like I'm at an incredible disadvantage when solo survivor. I uploaded a video where I ran the killer for 5 minutes and only a single gen was done. Also in this game a survivor had disconnected. Solo survivor is just unfun.
I'm never matched up with players that are good or as good as me. It's always players who urban around the map or cant hold a chase. When I'm hooked I've been left to die or left to get second state.
Out of all the swf post solo is not talked about enough. Solo is very bad right now. It's so bad that it encourages swf play because you rather not play with bad randoms.
Just a short rant solo is just bothering me lately.
Solo sucks. There was a time when it wasn't to bad, because people actually knew what they were doing, and got stuff done, but now it's horrible.
-
PH shouldn't have a built in mori, and his ability shouldn't go through walls and rocks and such to hit you. Just like DS shouldn't be able to shoot through walls or his chain burning through solid objects. I know it's a video game. I just wish that there was more realistic mechanics.
-
Nope. Leave it the hell alone. Ok, after reading more. If you're playing stealthy, and being productive that's one thing, but if you're hiding, and doing nothing just to benefit from your teammates hard work, then you are on your own if you get caught.

I'm not talking about slugging 1 person for a little extra pressure. I'm talking about Leatherface or another killer ending a game in 1 or 2 minutes because the survivors physically can't get each other up before he comes back to them. Most of us agree that is not how the game should be played and isn't fun for anyone. My solution is to make a survivor's dying state recovery speed increase per downed survivor. In my opinion that would punish mass sluggers without encroaching too much on regular old slugging someone because of DS. A killer should 4k win with 9+ hooks as is intended, not 3 or 4 hooks or bleed outs.
Agreed.... Sadly, some killers try to end it before it even begins, and they get their fun from that. I can't stand it. It's no fun at all. I like your idea about a faster recovery speed. My wife had this idea, and I'm with her. After being slugged for x amount of time ( say 15 seconds ) you get up automatically. Anytime you're slugged. I know that would cancel out unbreakable and no mither, but think about it. Killers would lose their minds. They would have to put in some skill, and effort to get kills. Take away unbreakable and no mither, and replace them with two different perks.
