The thing is, u really need to play killer for a 100 hours straight to understand survivors are severely OP.
Otherwise, killers are just too strong and needs a nerf.
On top of the already nerfed thanataphobia, POP, doctor, Billy, lullaby, mori, etc.
U mine as well make it so nerfed that most survivors have a 50% of escaping.
I take it you're stupid because half the nerfs u listed wasn't even nerfs, on top of that the only killers that could get absolutely detroyed as you claim is pretty much michael Wraith trapper clown demogorgon sometimes doctor depending on the map and sometimes hillbilly depending on the map plagues a hit or miss, and even then they normally only get destroyed when it's a 3 or 4 man group, literally the rest of the killers aka the ones you always see is absurdly broken, gunslinger has 0 terror radius, pyra throws things to infinity and beyond, spirit suffers no penalty for power and can easily catch/track, oni can full sweep or your money back, nurse literally makes the core game fundamentals invalid (delete nurse now), huntress iri head you gotta pray they haven't played longer than a hour or else also normally suffers the same pyra fate (throw pallet get hit, don't throw get hit choice is yours), freddy has absurd map pressure and the utility to boot, bubba and hag is fine and pigs fine other than the insane hit box she has, legion is a hit or miss, I'm a solo que player/killer with 3000+ hours and I can tell you the only way survivors are op is when it's a 3 or 4 man group running prove thyself and boxs. I doubt you've even played killer enough to understand any of this but that's ok that's why we educate the uneducated.

Let's just compare the Wraith and Oni's base kit (no addons) for reference.
What does the virgin Wraith have for his power?
The Wraith is a stealth killer who has a bell that he can use to cloak himself. During the cloak, the Wraith gains undetectable status effect for as long as he is cloaked. Survivors can hear the bell ringing when in a range of 24 meters away from the Wraith, they can also hear a wisping sound when in a range of 40 meters away from the Wraith...He is not fully invisible though, you can see him across the map when he is cloaked... He moves at 126% movement speed when he is cloaked, which is exactly 11% faster than he is not... It takes 3 seconds to uncloak and when you fully uncloak you gain a boost in movement speed for one second. Finally, he is fully invisible when standing still.
Now, what does the chad Oni have for his power?
The Oni is a killer whose power allows him to enter blood fury. To enter this mode, the Oni needs to fill up his power bar by sucking up blood orbs. The blood orbs are dropped from injured survivors every few seconds or when they perform most actions (being hooked, vaulting, dropping a pallet, crouching, and failing a skill check) and can be seen through walls. The oni also gains 40% of his power instantly by hitting a healthy survivor or a survivor with the endurance status effect. Once the Oni has the power bar filled up, he can choose to enter blood fury mode. This state lasts 45 seconds and allows the Oni access to two special abilities, demon dash and demon strike. Demon dash is performed by holding the secondary action button for two seconds. The Oni then begins running at a speed of 195% movement speed (Do NOT hold w when dashing because it actually slows you down, same for spamming a and d). Demon strike allows the Oni to perform demon strike which instantly puts survivors in the dying state. This can also be done during demon dash.
I think it is safe to say that there is a clear difference between different killers' powers in the game. Seriously, I wonder "Why would I ever play this guy at the high ranks?" sometimes. I still do because their concept is fun to me. Same for Clown, the idea behind the power is there it's just weak and not expanded upon.
What does Wraith have to get around the map? Nothing. His movement speed increase while cloaked is not enough. In fact, unless you are going to the complete opposite side of the map there really is no reason to cloak other than to hide from an object of obsession user. What does he have to help him catch survivors in a chase? nothing, unless you count the burst in speed when you uncloak which only helps on unsafe pallet loops.
But look at Oni, the dude has both. He has the ability to run around the map (better than billy btw) and be dangerous in a chase. He IMO, is the most balanced killer right now. You can still win against him and have 3 or 4 escapes, he is only really good if the player playing as him is skilled, and his power is a "power burst" kind of ability. This means the tides can tip fast for either side depending on who plays better or outsmarts the other person in a chase.
Even with the upcoming buffs to both Wraith and Clown, I feel like they are still going to need a bit more than just a few buffs, I mean a full-on rework. What I don't want them to be is just an average killer like Plague or Doctor in the middle tier. For Wraith idk give him some sort of passive ability I guess? Maybe every time survivors hear the bell ring they suffer from some sort of passive status effect that gets stronger as the trial goes on. Just some random thought but he will still need more than "true invisibility" and a few addons being base kit and changed. For Clown, I am clueless other than giving him different effects with his bottles.
Note: So after some thought and discussion, I have come up with the suggestion of instead of completely reworking all killers to be viable, they should instead get some buffs (not lazy ones) that are thorough and make the killer receiving said buffs to be able to be put in a mid-tier position.
I really hope that the Wraith and Clown will be given creative buffs or changes that create unique and fun gameplay.
I was on board with this till you said oni is balanced then I had a huge laugh, as a solo que player 9/10 when I got against oni he just ruins my team then I either hatch or die right with them, it doesn't help that there's literally only like 1 map onis bad on the rest he shines super nova, as for the big difference in killers I agree nurse pyra slinger spirit freddy and oni are huge compared to the rest of the scrap heap sadly

Ive been forced to write this discussion now becuase ive had enough of the devs slowy murdering there own game..
i feel like im not the only one who feels this way and will have many people agree with me on this. Devs need to stop changing things that dont need to be changed!
If you dont know it by now then youve been living under a rock for the past 5 years..this game was changed 3 years ago or so to be more survivor freindly and give them a bit more power to live longer in the game but for a while now the game is now pro survivor freindly and have given them a bit too mutch power to the point were some of the killers arnt even scary anymore and some player go looking for the killer just to piss him off??? other problems with the game now are listed below and is fair reasoning to why the devs need to stop changing things they dont need to..
For example:
Auras: remember a lil while ago when the devs make it pretty mutch inpossible to see auras?...yea me too.. me personally being somone with eye problems and many others who have blindness really struggled to play the game for a few days untill the devs were forced to change it back. (becuase they knew they ######### up)
Auto Haven: This map used to great and fair on both sides as some maps should be for killer and some should be for survoirs. But now...the new autohaven is just somthing else..for 1 its too dark to the point were you cant see bascally anything. 2 they have overdone it with so many decorations that u can barely walk 3 steps without getting stuck on somthing in a chase or other..
Mori: this one is just the cherry on the cake.. Mori used to be the only thing that could stop a toxic survivor ruining your day..but now the devs have done it again and taken somthing they DONT need to fix and ruined it in the process
dont get me wrong im very good at the game and mostly do survivor main and can be a toxic survivor somtime but i will admit that unlike most toxics who say they wern't toxic..and i dont like it when i get moried like everyone but i just get on with it when it happens..mori was put in the game for a reason to be a quick and easy kill if your really struggling to catch people. (espeshally if u have my luck and u get 4 toxics that u cant catch)
the point is the devs need to stop changing things that dont need to be changed
please comment or like if you agree with me in this becuase i know some of you are thinking the same.
"I'm very good at this game" "I need quick moris cause I can't handle competent players" lol ok buddy I don't think anyone here even remotely believes you've played this game for longer than a few months, the games been going killer direction for awhile now to balance the game, as you probably never knew along time ago brand new parts used to instant fix gens THAT was dark times for the game and eb moris have been carrying bad killers since the dawn of time aswell, these changes have been pretty decent so far and hopefully dbd gets further balance as it's kinda going in a good direction
-
@SquillDBD said:
Moris: Delete mori offerings, and make the cypress (yellow) mori core game. This way, a mori is a little reward for the killer 4king.
Keys: Give keys a 14 second hatch unlock animation (same time as cleansing a dull totem), also it shouldn't pull the survivor using it through right after, and give the killer a notification when this is happening.
- Passive buff to pebble!
No just no 1000000 times no that would make the game more garbage than most of the stuff currently is
-
@Yords said:
Please read first.
I have made a post about this before, but I feel that it is more relevant especially right now with moris being nerfed and I feel that this should definitely be implemented as it is not crazy big of a change.
The current yellow mori: Allows you to kill a survivor if they are the last one remaining in the trial regardless if they have been hooked or not.
This is not used often and most of the time, you probably aren't even going to get to use it if you do run it.
The could-be base kit mori: Allows you to kill the last remaining survivor in the trial only if all other survivors have been sacrificed. Grants you as many points as you would have gotten if they were hooked and sacrificed.
It makes sense with the lore of the game "You worked well, the last one is yours.", gives moris more of a use just in general gameplay, is not OP, and gives you the rest of the points you would have gotten sacrificing them.
What are your thoughts? Do you agree with me, or do you think something else could work? Just keep it professional.
We'll since we're talking a base kit mori I think it only fair that the last survivor in this situation gets a built in longer adrenaline and can open gates fast, it's only fair since we're trying to ruin base gameplay apparently, as someone has stated there's plays that can be done if ur last survivor so this built in mori nonsense is abit much I'd say

I've played killer for a while, done so many matches that I can't even begin to remember half of them, and if survivors do escape, the Exit Gate stands in solidarity as a shining beacon of broken that needs to be fixed.
First off, let's talk about the lever. I don't know about you, but I think its a bit unfair that Survivors can get the gate's progression to 99, leave fore twenty years, and then come bag and open it with a tap. This poor design choice makes Blood Warden (The only perk that really punishes gate-teabaggers for their toxicity) all but impossible to use.
Possible Fix: Immediate gate regression upon letting go. You touch that handle, you better be leaving.
Second, we have gate toxicity. Too often have I been matched up with red-ranks with toxic builds (Dead hard, decisive, head on, sprint burst, adrenaline, you get the picture.) who ceaselessly loop the killer shack and other god loops, throw down pallets and then emote spam and teabag if they get the succesful stun. Then they get to the exit gate (most likely after body blocking or something like that), stand right on the cusp of the gate's exit, and teabag because they know theres nothing killers can do about it.
Possible Fix: If you teabag inside the exit gate, you should be blocked from it for a limited amount of time. I think this would cut down on toxicity even just a bit, which is a good thing.
What do you guys think? Does the Exit Gate need a change or two or fifty?
As a solo que player I say absolutely not, if anything exits need buffed timer on opening, needs to go way down as most maps have side by side exits and I'll tell you nothing butters my biscuits harder than being the only good player in the match and getting shafted due to both exits side by side, exits are horrendous as is unless literally 3-4 players are alive and I say 3-4 cause even 2 isn't safe as most garb players hide and don't do exits till someone is dead on the ground or getting chased, I have way to many clips of this happening to me or others. So no if they ever mess with exit gates they will be losing a long time player 3k+ hours on my account

With victor
1. He can't pounce up any type of slope, doesn't matter how minor
2. He has the chance to fall through the ground
3. He has the chance to get stuck in the ground, where he shall remain for the rest of his days
4. Can now touch people in lockers, poor dwight mains.
5. Can be kidnapped for 45 seconds, and through hatch without a promise of child support income.
6. Can camp like a pro, he packed gear and everything.
7. Can float on a survivor he is attached to, same with Charlotte. Victor decided he was too cool for the ground, and ascended to a higher plane of existence to avoid it.
8. Victor is too lazy to stop survivors from leaving through the exit gate
9. Victor's killer instinct for dying people is inconsistent. Sometimes reveals those on a hook too.
10. Victor can get stuck in his falling animation, which can only be stopped by being kicked by survivors.
11. Idle animation is bugged in lobby
12. FOV can be stuck at 45°, same for charlotte.
13. Victor does not move corn or grass
With Charlotte
1. Can have a black screen if you switch too fast, switch again to make it go away
2. Can get stuck in the ground like victor, at least they're together
3. Her power can be taken away for 45 seconds
4. Takes too long to wake up after playing victor
5. Apparently can't get points from BBQ, bubba decided not to share any chili with the twins.
6. devout emblem is currently bugged, no adept twins for you buddy.
7. Purple cosmetic is locked as a set, despite trailer stating otherwise.
With perks
1. Hoarder just straight up doesn't work
2. Deception has the chance to not work in high ping ( cries in ps4 )
3. Power struggle no longer works with flip flop, No free pallet stuns for you meghead.
4. Power struggle can cause you to become one with a pallet
With flashlights
1. Now has sway for some reason? Get better hands I guess??
2. Blinding angle is off, to compensate for this the killers eyes have been adjusted 5 feet to the left.
With Legion
1. legion lost their movement speed in frenzy. Look for funny comment below.
2. Rumors state legion has a lunge range in frenzy as short as your [BAD WORD]
3. The mask now defines what gender the legions voice is.
Miscellaneous
1. The usual framerate issues everyone has (it's been 2 years where is the optimization?)
2. Hillbillies chainsaw randomly over heats, probably due to barely legible directions on tuning guide.
3. Sometimes shack pallet is unbreakable ( can apparently be broken on one side ? )
4. Blood warden doesn't prevent survivors from leaving... again
5. Clown now has a delay between throwing a bottle and lunging. He could hit them, he just chooses not to.
6. Freddy can't place puddles in doorways
7. Mikey's chase music doesn't stop playing for a couple seconds after a survivor is downed.
8. Killer now hears survivor pov chase music, for those who have original chase music. Doesn't affect those where the track is the same on both ends.
9. Sometimes grass disappears at a distance
I'm sure I'm missing some, feel free to add to the list! Any contribution shall be added to the list in future edits.
Had some asshat named raging ryuga abuse the hell out of insidious Victor, was annoying. Also idk if it's just me but flashlights also don't seem to do that focus expand thing to let you know they're blind I can't ever tell anymore

This combination of perks has a nickname on the Korean server. It is called RuBulDdaem (the first few letters of each perk's name in Korean).
It is, at red ranks, seen in virtually every game. As it seems a necessity to say your rank/play time here, I am a Rank 1 Killer, Rank 1 survivor with 4000 hours in the game. Of those 4000 hours, about 60-65 percent has been spent as killer.
I'm curious if the devs are looking into this combination of perks and/or already have plans in place to reduce its effectiveness.
Before you come in saying "but the killer is spending 2-3 perks. That's a lot!", please understand that this combination of perks is the strongest possible combination currently available to killers. Not only that, it is too strong. The "why" of 'why it is too strong' has already been discussed multiple times on this forum. It really needn't be discussed further.
The issue, which the devs set the precedent for when they changed Ruin due to how often it was being used, is how often it is used at red ranks.
At red ranks, at least on the Korean server, it is the default setting. In the past 50 matches I've played, the only times I haven't seen a killer using these perks is when matching screws up and matches me with a killer who probably doesn't even have enough shards to buy Blight/unlock Undying.
Old nurse, First live version of Legion, Prayer Beads spirit, Old syringes (purple and red), Iridescent hatches (as a Huntress main, please change these to something not absurdly broken). All of these things were broken, creating an unfun game experience for those facing them. You can add RuBulDdaem to that list.
I second the motion of iri head and beads, also while it's on the table the spirit needs altered period anyways, she has absolutely no draw backs to using her power and I'd say is easily at the ranks of gunslinger/pyra head

@Spirez said:
Wow in 80% of games at red ranks there is DS I hope the devs are looking into this too. While they’re at it how about also Dead hard, borrowed time, iron will, and unbreakable.
See how ridiculous that sounds.
Thats what you sound like making this post.
Also keep in mind two of those killer perks can be erased from the match at the start of it. After that tinkerer becomes more of a “look what gen you’re about to lose”.
Did you just bring up ds and dh lmao those are barely even useful, you act like you run into the 2% of people that actually make use of those perks, and even when they can make use of it you act like they can't backfire i.e getting exhausted and not dodging the attack some how and being left on the ground till it's useless, silence baby killer and let adults talk please

Lately I've been going against a few killers who get really offended if even a gen gets done, calling it "genrushing".
If you are chasing a survivor for long enough and a gen gets done, how is it genrushing? To survive, the only thing survivors need to do is open the gates and leave, which only get powered if you do gens.
Should we start just going up to you a give you a free down? Maybe suicide on hook so you get a free kill? I seriously don't understand the "genrush" mentality.
Survivors are supposed to do gens to survive, killers don't need to facecamp/nod/hit on hook to get a kill (if you need to face camp to get a single kill, be my guest I guess?).
Doing gens shouldn't be seen as a personal attack to you, or as survivors being toxic, to a point you feel the need to BM.
Don't feel bad i had a teammate get butt hurt because they watched me looping a killer and after I had to leave the loop at the killer shack I went out the entrence to go to the next loop, we'll this idiot decided to stay on the gen that was next to the shack and instead of the killer going for me they went for them and downed them in which they first hook DCed, they then proceeded to msg me saying why did I take the killer to them and they got "tunnled" I laughed so damn hard bout them saying tunneled on first hook, needless to say that was the only idiot who died but it was somehow my fault lmao

You're the killer. You make the rules and how you want to play. No survivor rules matter, all that does matter is what makes you win. Every salty comment from a survivor tells you how good you did your job, keep it up.
That's not true at all, let adults talk if you aren't going to input information, if that was the case noone should have complained about the way survs played all this time yet here we are changing things to fit people's complaints. Don't be a biased twat

sadly you are right meanwhile survivors meta combo are still as powerfull as always.
I doubt this lol unless ur crying about decisive which is super lol, the insane 4 man's that come decked sure but there really isn't a meta build that just any surv can use and become ultra strong lmao, stop trying to keep this "meta" bs going

@HellDescent said:
Yet nobody wants to run small game or detectives hunch. It's used in most of the games, so wouldn't it makes sense to use one of those perks? People wanted a meta shift - well here it is. Or do you need those perk slots for ds, unbreakable, dead hard and deliverance?
Gonna assume ur new or biased if you don't see a issue, if they took off the aura reading it honestly wouldn't be an issue but as is used on high pressure killers it absolutely has a insanely high chance of just obliterating most teams, key word MOST because yes there's going to be that one 4 man squad that comes and absolutely smashes but that's pretty rare to come across

Not needed at all. Huge mistake. Every rework makes them too overpowered and less fun to verse so he will become the new killer to suicide with.

I believe that exit gates need a small change, this being that the progress of opening the doors should reset when a survivor lets go (similar to totems). I feel that this could lead to a lot of benefit in the game, for one making endgame collapse a more significant game function. As it stands now, the endgame collapse might as well not even exist since survivors can just 99% doors creating no barrier between them and escaping. And even though killers can open doors themselves to force the endgame collapse, its usually a waste of time to do that and giving the survivors even more freedom when you could be chasing down another survivor. Making the door progress reset forces the survivors to make a huge decision for the endgame; either open the doors and force the collapse, or leave the doors closed to go for a last minute save but risk not being able to open the doors in time.
There are also many benefits that this change could have to the game and its meta. For one, it would enhance many perks like blood warden, remember me, wake up, and no one left behind. Blood warden would become better as in the endgame, survivors would be more inclined to open exit gates for not wanting to risk the long opening animation during a vital escape point. Wake up would become more viable as opening the exit gates faster would actually be important especially when going for last minute clutch saves. In addition, the bonus healing and rescue speeds from no one left behind could be more useful as opening the gates would be more incentivized. Remember me would also become better as having the exit gates take longer to open would incentivize the survivors to start the endgame collapse even during a dangerous point in the game.
Overall, making this small change to exit gates, I feel would make a significant impact on the gameplay in DBD. In addition, the only small drawback is that survivors would be forced to open the gates when someone is hooked in order to be able to go for an effective save causing the endgame collapse. However, those clutch saves would still be possible but it would put a lot more pressure on the survivors to make the move if they want the save. I would almost consider that another benefit considering that camping is a problem of its own. Consideration would be appreciated.
This would have to come at a price, killer mobility would have to be heavily hit and powers would need changed aswell, as is most maps have side by side exits and even when they don't depending on how many survs is alive the exit maybe impossible to get reguardless. Maybe at some point down the road this could be a thing but as is it already has tons of play potential and things you can do.

very strange that devs made to EGC silver line on timer :D i always think for what this silver line and have 1 answer,,,,because survivor's game must be easy and simple
Egc was never ment to be a serious thing, it already has play potential with triggering noed/blood warden if u open the door urself. Get tired of seeing baby killers such as urself say survivor must be easy, theyve added doors to alot of areas that screw survs over, taken alot of strong loops aswell yet there's no mass out cry from them. If u incline on easy lets talk the exit gates literally side by side on most maps, I don't see u rallying for that to change? Why's that, need a easy kill/win?. If ur not gonna input valuable balancing information it'd be best to stay quiet with the rest of the good kids

I know these issues are pretty much known to everyone but since starting to play on steam as well as ps4 you get a much better idea of what they're supposed to endure. Apart from a few matches where I've been matched with noobs I'm going against red and purple survivors with 1000s of hours, and full perk sets -which is fine with me, obviously a bit more engaging than killing beginners although ideally I'd have something a bit more to throw back at them apart from tier 1 spies and tier 1 bloodhound-
but how many new players drawn to the killer role are going to stick around if they're just going to be a punching bag match after match? I get that matchmaking is probably always going to be terrible, possibly even with MMR. But give new players something. A more advanced tutorial, a training area (everyone wants one and if you could try out new killers and perks there you'd probably increase sales), a warning or BP boost when their lobby is full of reds, a way to unlock some free perks from the shrine, idk but you should give them something.
Smurfs go both ways, either way playing against better people will only make them better soooo, I don't see a need to whine about this? Stop playing or get better only 2 options there is kiddo

Update on the "rank 20 4-man smurf SWF myth/boogeyman":
Logged into my gf's profile that's on rank 20 to show you how "rare" the boogeyman is.
Took me literally 1 single match to find the "boogeyman":
4 man SWF (all of them quickswitched at the same time) with 1 key, 1 map, 2 flashlights, 1 map offering.
All of them ran meta-ish builds, looped, tbagged, bodyblocked the hook, took hits for each other.
Their ranks were 19, yellow and green. Can upload the post game screen as well if someone doubts it.
So yeah... Smurfing SWF teams are not rare at all.
New killers have to deal with exactly the same things as red rank killers making matchmaking as a whole pointless.
Devo 87 on a rank 20 and you complaining about smurfs lmfao you trolling? New killer or not if you wanted to play killer bp shoulda been invested in both survivors and killers. Then there really wouldn't be a need to whine as you would have good perks. The attention bait was hard real on this, people only get better with experience soooo stop playing? Or learn? Dunno

I’m not a super good killer by any means, I’m only a green rank and I play on console so my experience is drastically different than a red rank on pc, but playing as a console killer is next to impossible due to the limitations of a controller, especially with the cross-platform system consistently matching me up against survivors on pc. Using a controller makes it harder to chase and hit survivors and causes you to eat up valuable time that could end up losing you the game, especially in game-deciding scenarios. Not to mention killers like huntress and deathslinger are so much worse when using a controller due to the lack of an aim assist (not saying that there should be aim assist for ranged killers because that would hellish to deal with). I’m honestly surprised that bhvr hasn’t already added mouse and keyboard support for console, it would make the game so much easier for console killers and it would kill off any problems caused by using a controller.
Hate to be that guy cause they're normally gross butttt, ur gonna have to get good, I'm a red rank console bubba player, 0 issues with controller. Maybe turn ur sensitivity up if ur having issues? Dunno

@AnnoyingNarrator said:
If you had to ask me what the most useful survivor perk in the game was, I would have to say Dead Hard. Is the perk super powerful? No. Does it stop any tactics like decisive strike? No. So why is it the most useful?
As the title states, it gives way too much value to any survivor using it. But what do I mean by value? When I say value, I am referring to the benefits the perks give you at the cost of using it. For example, sprint burst can be used against killers like Ghost Face to avoid getting instantly downed and get to a loop, but you have to walk everywhere and you can't use other exhaustion perks. Dead Hard, on the other hand, has no downsides to running it. You can still run other exhaustion perks, (mind you still shouldn't do it, but it is better than running say lithe and sprint burst together.)
But what about the benefits? Dead Hard is, without a doubt, the most versatile exhaustion perk in the game. The only times it is not useful is if you are getting instadowned, but only a select few things can do that (*insert chainsaw noises*). So what does Dead Hard let you do?
- It lets you make it to a Pallet or Vault that was just a little too far.
- It lets you, at any time, make some distance between you and the killer.
- It lets you dodge attacks by phasing through the killer.
That is a lot of things that just one perk enables you to do. That is the problem with this perk, it is just ONE perk. The value you can get from compared to what you are giving up makes it a no brainer to use. So how do you fix it? Simple. You just split the perk. Make one perk that is based around Use 1 and 2, and make another perk that is based around Use 3.
Overall, the perk is not overpowered, it just needs to have a higher opportunity cost to make other perks more worth running.
U have to be injured to use it lmfao it's literally useless against any one shot killer and even if after u get them the first time and use it it's not really much value, I've never once had issues with dead hard and from personal statistics I'd say I'm either really lucky or 3/4s the people that use it can't use it right or get the good ol dbd treatment and it doesn't work like it should have. Either way complaining about dead hard seems pretty trivial compared to other very real problems this game has....

I just came out of a game as killer where the survivors hid the entire match and never did a single gen, so obviously they all got sacrificed. However, to get the win, I had to play a game that was very boring and over an hour long with only a "brutal killer" ranking to show for it. If I wanted to leave the match and move on, I would have been given a DC penalty. How cruel. (although, without DC penalties, matches have a problem of being ruined every other game)
This is far from the only time this has happened to me, and it happens as survivor too. The killer first kills two or three people. Then, repeatedly downs the last survivor(s) and picks them up and drops them until they are no longer downed, then downs them again. This is so the three minute bleed-out time lasts much, MUCH longer than three minutes.
Matches in DbD are usually 10 to 15 minutes, with the rare lengthy match being about 20 minutes. Endgame Collapse was an amazing step in the right direction (and is what got me back into DbD after a multi-year hiatus due to matches being 2+ hours without it), but we need a timer before then to prevent matches from being 30 minutes long.
My suggestion is that after the 30 minutes are up, the match simply ends, and no players in the match get bloodpoints and everyone de-pips and is given a matchmaking penalty. There is no way to tell who is doing the hostage taking, so scorched earth makes sense (even though I am fully aware it is HIGHLY abusable). In addition, players should be banned for repeatedly drawing matches out to 30 minutes and can be unbanned via manual review. This way, if people that are often targeted by harassment, like Twitch streamers, are repeatedly held hostage, they can appeal to BHVR and get unbanned.
Although, a less foolish option would to remove any and all DC penalties after a certain length of time passes. For example, in addition to the match ending at 30 minutes, you can DC at 20 minutes and keep bloodpoints and items you earned that match. Again, highly abusable, but better than the nothing we have right now. I just want to play the game, not run in circles for literal hours waiting for the 4 Claudettes to do a single gen.
How about no, they gotta move around or else they get crows, just take iron maiden gg ez move on

I waited to see if most of the people would say "this ain't right" while in the same breath say "survivor is so gg ez, you can have tiny brain and live survivors so op" lmao the typical "killer mains" in full force to say this is wrong XD meanwhile only a few of us know what needs to go on for a more balanced game, the main thing actual killer mains should have a problem with is 4 man swf there should always be atleast 1 random as it's an absolute wild card that could be detrimental to a team or actually be good. There's a few other things that need adjusting but there's no point in talking about it as they will never change anything super serious despite alot of feedback

The screenshot is proof that he did perfect by the game's standards, even though he felt like uninstalling at the end. You can't reject the point because it looks like a flex.
That.....that's not how that works, if that's the case the idiots who hide along the map and don't do gens but still get iri medals is playing the game almost optimally, the medal system is pretty much there to make you feel better

Sorry for my poor writing. The story is, in one match I played oni, and I played so good that I got three hooked in the basement.
In general, it should be the end, isn't it? However, they are an AT team, and the last one has borrow time, He just ran to me, took a hit and saved one on the hook, then I found that every of them have borrow time, finally all of the three escape from the basement easily, and I only got one left in the basement.
This is not the end, I chased them and hit two down, but both of the two have Decisive Strike, I took double stupid stun and got nothing. In the beginning, I got three in the basement, but finally I lost everything, and got two stun. This is so much fun, isn't it?
Fortunately, it's me, an experienced killer, not a noob. Finally, I still got 4 kill, but I feel so bad. The game should have ended with four generators left, but they were able to drag two with their op perks. I got so tired with this game since then. Is that mean, as a killer, I must take turns hooking them, one by one, I can't hook two or more at the same time, and I also have to play against gen rush? If that, you are force player to play nurse and spirit.
I already uninstalled the game. I won't play dbd until ZZZ nurf borrow time and Decisive Strike!
Thank you for uninstalling, it's the right thing to do if you can prove that a killer can still win against "op" perks but wanna cry about it all because you wanted easy kills rip. I can only imagine how this match went down if you're gonna get triggered over borrowed time. Did your "skill" of camping come in handy? Sounds like they got to do 2 additional gens because of it. O well bad killers gonna cry all the time anyways

Good thing DS is less used and less popular than Lithe, said a Dev.
2 hours and still trying this achievement.
As you're a ps player I will say this in terms that's understandable, ds is only spooky scary if you're literally chasing down the same person non stop, don't wanna deal with it? Either get it over with fast or wait it and find another player, a survivor gets downed 9 times outta 10 even if it's not a SWF someone will try to come help if they've been on the ground for a few seconds. You'll get there buddy just keep playing killer till you're better no biggy

Undying + Ruin is there to encourage the survivors to do the secondary objective. See, i can play that game too.
Not quite as DS doesn't allow you to see the killer when they come in proximity of them so I'd say your argument is invalid, if it soley forced players to do totems without free vision this debate may have had a leg to stand on. And yes this meta is absolutely boring alls I've seen when I play survivor is super speed spirits acting like it's hard to play a killer with practically no downside and that's at rank 1. Gonna take this time to shameless plug about making spirit have a downside with her phasing as nurse/legion go into animation for just using powers
-
I'll tell you what I've never ran ds in my life and I also mainly solo que the off times I don't I play with my gf, resilience iron will sprint burst and spine chill, only use items I get in match and yet somehow all these killer babies still justify face camping and utter toxic behaviors, I don't care about face camping but unless you solo que and don't take deliverance I don't think you understand how important those skills are to survivors. I've never been more tempted than with how the directions going to actually start taking those perks, the term "balance" goes for both parties and most pepole don't get that
-
I have sound issues period, loaded another game my sound was fine, playing dead by daylight I have to max my volume just to barely hear gens killers survivors anything. This is absolutely nutty
-
It should be when he is holding an item only and it's 100% of the time, he seems to not have an animation while holding items in lobby. I can't confirm this on the pc as I mainly play dbd on my xbox but that's how it is for me on there

Want some cry fries to go with that waaaburger? It takes very little time to get out of a match like that and barely ever happens, move on stop making a big deal over nothing geeze

Ruin is gone now, there is no reason that DS and other meta perks should exist anymore. If killers have to suffer through gen rush then survivors should have to deal with tunneling and camping. I don't recognize any of the gripes certain players come here to cry about.
I completely understand that most people are sheep and need to be told what to think by other people, so it's no surprise when content streamers constantly ######### about one side of the game, their followers then do too. These same content streamers, then play both sides, showing how most of the games, end in their favour, no matter which side they play. Be it a player looping some dumb ass killer for a few gens or getting 4k with any killer running what seems like almost any 4 sets of perks.
The killers that complain about the smallest inconvenience, have you ever adept your killers? Where you need to use only that killers 3 perks and get yourself a brutal killer rating, because it seems from your constant crying, that this would be impossible.
The survivors that complain about killers, have you adept your survivors? Ok, it's definitely easier to adept as survivor since you don't need to escape to double pip, but you still need to play with only 3 perks. And if you adept David King, you gotta do it broken too.
It comes down to this really, the players coming here complaining are just bad players. Maybe you guys are just sheep bleating that same entitled nonesense your favourite streamer constantly spouts (while they then get 4ks using no perks or loop a killer for days)
You're not supposed to win every game.
You being unhooked doesn't grant you a fairness token where the killer can't down you.
You watching 2 gens pop quickly, doesn't mean it's game over. Imagine all the competent trappers/hags that lay all their traps before hunting, we are used to seeing 2-3 gens go before we start chasing, it's no problem.
The only positive here, is that killer mains are taking a break to have their ego smashed as survivors, when they actually experience how most games go. It's why players that play both sides at a decent level, don't come here crying, every day.
The state of the game is better than it was. Infinites, insta heals, DS, BT, BL all nurfed, exhaustion effects not rebuilding while running, were all things that needed to be fixed, plus a whole bunch of other survivor nurfs.
Killing is so easy now, I don't even know what nerfs have been made to killers (I don't mean individual tweaks, I mean as whole), as it's not changed my ability to slaughter survivors.
Hopefully, when the matchmaking system is up and running, and we start playing with/against players of our skill level, the game will become more "fun" for you. Because it's pointless putting some half baked killer against strong 4 man SWF and putting the world worst survivor against sweaty mckilly killuall.
Well said, streamer sack riders are absolutely annoying

I play Killer and Survivor, and I dont see what all the commotion is about. I 4K all the time a Killer without Hex Ruin. And as Survivor, I beat Killers using Hex Ruin all the time by either using Small Game to help me find totems, or simply by hitting Great Skill Checks. If you're a Killer who uses Hex Ruin that's fine... Not gonna put u down for using a perk. But if u rely on it to the point u can't play without it well... That's your problem.
Git Gud.
Agreed ruin isn't needed can easily run thana or dying light and pressure hard, yes for some of the killers this will still be hard but for anyone who plays the above average killers you won't tell a difference. Ruin was a double edged sword it made bad players rely on it to carry the game in hopes that it wasnt good enemy players that can land skill checks or wasnt a 4 man group so only the good players got to be productive and the rest of the team get punished(yes I'm aware people can spawn next to it but killers can spawn next to it/survivors aswell, it's all rng baby). That being said if they balanced the game in the important areas instead of some weird stuff we could have a better play experience for everyone

Honestly I wish all killers will just not play the game for 48 hours to protest this change. People saying "I'm ok with this change ruin wasn't good anyway" it wasn't good cuz the totems got cleansed 3 seconds into the game and it now being a late game perk is stupid cuz it'll be cleansed before early game even starts. It's down right useless. Survivor mains say it's a crunch perk and too many ppl use it. So what? How many survivors run adrenaline or dead hard? How would you feel about them being nerfed this hard. What other survivors don't seem to realize is that if all the killers stop playing because of all the nerfs they get, us survivors have no game to play and the devs need to see it too. They buff and nerf both sides true but they OVERNERF killers and killer perks way too often and make ranking up as killer annoyingly hard.
Why you baiting with troll, killers can do fine without ruin just like survivors can do fine without old balanced landing, insta heals, good brand new parts, vacuum pallets, old flash blinds, old hatch. Them trying to work on ruin shows that maybe we can get some actual needed balancing from every aspect of this game. So let's see where this goes before you break down and need a safe place

I also main survivor... Sometimes I'm unluckily... Very rarely am mori'd... And most matches last over 10 mins if not more...
Ok calm down keyboard warrior it doesn't have to mean they do anything wrong, I've personally spawned into quite a few different matches with the killer literally only needing to take 4 steps to apply terror radius/see me and at that point your fate is at the killers hand, if they wanna camp you it's game over if they have a mori and your team is stupid it's game over either way matches CAN end in 3-5 minutes

Even as a solo survivor, you can still break any totems you happen to encounter. You dont need to keep track of EVERY totem to break the ones you see. Often times you'll end up running past totems while working on gens and such. Being in a SWF squad and having voices in your ear saying how many THEYVE broken doesnt change the fact that you should break the one directly infront of you. The only thing keeping solo survivors from countering NOED is the feeling that its a waste of your time doing the totems because others are probably ignoring the totems. You end up having a full squad with this same mindset... Just because you dont want to track down all 5, doesnt mean you shouldnt cleanse the ones you already see.
I mean if you read what they said their point was yeah you might have seen one but if you can't talk to the rest of your team how do you know they did any totems or how are you supposed to know how many they have done, why would you waste alot of time searching for what may or may not still be a problem in the future?....was that really hard to understand

Gen rush isn't an illusion. It's a term used to describe specific tactic that all survivors can use but only some do. Calling it a fiction just shows ignorance.
Just a quick vid from good ol' Marth: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hxkk5sH6zRI
That actually wasn't full genrush as survivors also got chased and saved each other from hooks. Feels pretty balanced doesn't it?
If weaker(not top tier) killer goes against good survivors, they have to essentially throw the game for him to win. I know that not everyone plays that way but some people do. Just like some people camp basement with bubba and play Ebony Mori on one shot hatchet huntress but somehow these are the problem.
Survival rate are at 30% because most survivors aren't that good at the game. They make stupid mistakes, use meme builds or just simply have fun with their friends while dying in the process.
This game really quickly loses all of it's appeal when you really have to sweat every match and go against equally sweaty players. I'd rather see both sides getting balanced so that neither side can get massive advantage during the first 5 minutes of the game.
At the moment survivors can finish all gens in this time while looping the killer and saving from hooks. If survivors goof around killer can do it too but while he can slug and down everybody at least of the survivors will jump off the hook to have chance to turn the tides and let's not forget that survivors have perks that help them with that as well.
Average of games I played 3 gens pop before killer gets his first hook.
That's 60% of goal of survivors done and 8% of the killer.
I'd rather see some mechanic that slows down either side when they try to rush the game for example massive slow down of gen speed when 2-3 gens are being worked on at once or slower killer movement speed or auto-kindred when 2 survivors are on the hook or downed.
I absolutely doubt on average of your games 3 gens pop before a killer gets even 1 hook, all of that bogus story aside it is nice to see people wanting both sides balanced
-
@AvisDeene said:
Oh look, another survivor only player complaining about camping because they weren't good enough to avoid the killer in the first place. Before you cry some more, how about you play both sides and try out killer for a bit. Once you experience 10 well coordinated groups you will be singing a new tune.
And for those asking for punishment, there already is one, your stupid teammates could keep pushing out the gens. The faster they complete the match, the less blood points and kills the killer gets.
Just because you don't like an aspect of the game doesn't make it wrong. It may not be fun for you, but not everything is supposed to be fun.
-Its not fun to be looped around the entire map and have 3 gens pop back to back
-Its not fun getting hit by pallets over and over
-Its not fun to get body blocked by three people while you're trying to hook someone
-Its not fun to be blinded by two or three people after you finish a long chase
-Its not fun for a killer to have to deal with borrowed time
-Its not fun for killers to get repeatedly flashlight clicked or t-bagged over and over
-Its not fun when a killer finally catches a tryhard and they DC because they can't handle getting hooked or killed
-its not fun for a killer to be doing a good job through out the whole match and the survivors escape with a key
-its not fun when survivors hide through out the whole match and barely try to do the gens because they're too scared to do the gens and don't want to get caught
-Its not fun when survivors dc because they don't like the map
-its not fun when survivors dc because they don't like the killer
-Its not fun when survivors suicide on hook because they're angry babies
-Its not fun when a swf on comms coordinate to repeatedly loop and locker stun the killer
-Its not fun when a killer is trying to hook someone only to find someone broke the hook
-its not fun for Trapper to find out his trap was broken
-Its not fun to play Plague because her power depends on the Survivors actions
-Its not fun to face a group of survivors that have 4 toolboxes and one or two brand new parts and power through all the gens in 5 minutes.
Stop crying like babies. You win some and you lose some. No matter what match you play, someone will end up not having fun. Just accept the death and move on to the next game.
The only thing I think the devs should do is to make sure that after you face a killer once, they shouldn't pair you up with them(or killer type) again until you are matched up with several different killers.
Yeah guess killers shouldn't have cried about old brand new part should have just let it stay where you press it and it insta fixed the gen or insta heal needles or old flashlight and pallets "just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it's wrong" seriously stfu if you're gonna be one sided and act cool when clearly you're a super butt hurt baby. Either contribute with a non biased point of view and explain yourself like an adult or stay quiet kid, as for face camping yes they are trying to mitigate it but in all the wrong ways, just gotta hold out and see what happens I spose

The basement/wiggle bug is ruining games for survivors and is being abused by a few killers, so its already being fixed within a day. This seems good right? A game breaking bug that put the other side an extreme advantage is being fixed quickly?
Who else remembers wake up and SB abuse? I cant remember exactly but it was definitely alot longer than 1-2 days before it was even announced to be being fixed much less actually fixing it, survivors were ending games ridiculously fast and constantly abusing it but its not fixed near as fast as the basement bug? I understand ones one every map and one was a perk but I saw at least one every game I played.
I'm not saying it is them favoring survivors or that they dont care about killers but how am I supposed to look at this and not think that?

I don't care whether you "feel for me" or not. Disconnecting to give someone the hatch is cheap and an exploit. Slugging is fair and not against any rules. There are numerous perks to counter slugging anyways so there's no reason to cry about it.
No reason to be biased about what is fair or not and to be fair the perks that "can" counter slugging really only work once, yeah slugging isn't against the rules but it absolutely should be and here's why, it's taking the game hostage it prevents the person being slugged from playing and it also encourages the other survivor to not be productive or help the person on the ground incase the killer is staying within range of the slug or so they can get hatch, (mind you I'm talking strictly about the last 2 survivors there's nothing wrong with early game slugging as the other survivors can distract/help) and none of this really falls on players persay rather than the overall game itsself alot of changes could happen to fix alot of these issues

Don't make it easy for me to slug you then, because to be 100%, as the killer I am NOT here for your experience. I am here for mine. If I was here for yours I'd be on your team as a survivor with you, and I'm playing to win.
Be mad, I'll live. :>
Why would you say something stupid like that, the survivors can say they are not here for your experience aswell and you don't see why that's the problem, they see dc'ing as a win for the team any way needed and killers see slugging as any way needed that's why none of its ever gonna change

So.. no shade. Survivors can run 2 insta heals, 2 P U R P L E flashlights, all 4 have dead hard, DS, and every single one of them have body blocked me into oblivion when trying to hook the one I managed to get down.. but I cant bring a mori? Tell me how survivors dont dominate this game again?
I solo against 16 perks, 4 items, 8 addons, 4 players and it's usually a toxic SWF who are all sitting on mic telling one another exactly where I am. But let's dc over a mori.
All of that is invalid aside from insta heal, dead hard really doesn't lead to a much longer chase and sometimes even shafts the user, ds only triggers if tunneling which is kinda your fault leave on the ground or go for the player that saved, flashlights? You seen they was bringing it take lightborn or Franklins, body blocking? There are a million and one hooks on the map unless someone is being a sabo hero in which franklins yet again helps a little with that also there's about 2 other perks which help with blocking on top of most killers having good move speed already. Yes killers have struggles but none of which you addressed, just complaints because lacking gameplay. Side note DCing as survivor or killer is not cool neither side should do it
