Getting 4 man slugged doesn't happen often enough that I feel the need to change my loadout. Further, it was against a Windstorm Wraith running Knockout and Deer Stalker. Get picked up, get downed immediately because Deer Stalker tells the killer where downed survivors are, while Knockout makes it harder for survivors to find each other.

Getting deliberately bled out is not fine, and isn't skill-dependent.

It's pretty skill-dependent. You shouldn't even bee going down to a Wraith like that, if anything that shows a lack of skill on your end.

  • If you're getting 4man slugged as survivor. I'm sorry but you're just bad xd

This is a very interesting idea. That's why it will be ignored.

XDDDD this is funny and factual

Or just remove the BP cap. That would solve that problem while solving another as well.

This doesn't solve the teachable perk problem because you still would have to buy the character to get their teachable which shouldn't be a thing.

  • COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THIS DEVS PLEASE

I’ve noticed that using counterforce and a map don’t go well. When you have perks like detectives hunch that not only reveals a lot more at once, but will keep the auras remembered on your map. You’d think counterforce would do that since it’s only revealing one totem at a time. If you could use the two together, that would be a nice change

Counterforce is already insanely strong I don't know what you're talking about G

  • Trapper is definitely not the weakest. Myers is by far the weakest killer in the game, he doesn't really have much of a power. Trapper just needs his traps to reset automatically with an animation and he'll be pre good.

how exactly can you be good enough to throw a hatchet across the map, through a house and behind another obstacle? I'm talking from gallows, through the main building hitting me at the opposite wall. no amount of good could cover that :D

People put a ton of hours into Huntress. I know people who can consistently hit shots like that.

  • I mean based off of this description this Huntress was probably just good at the game but yes there are hackers, not many though.

  • The devs should make corrupt core game and give base kicking an instant 5% regression

NA cross off is pretty hit and miss. Depends on the time of day. If the NA Pro-Cord is actually doing lobby snipes, you can get some really good matches. I'm more likely to run into a comp killer than a comp survivor with cross off in my experience. Still unfortunately have to actually set up scrims to get good games though.

Well that's why I'm trying to build up NA cross off, so you run into more challenging matches more often.

  • @CoalTower said:

PC players aren't any better than console players

What's funny is before crossplay matches as killer used to be much more challenging. PC players on average just tend to be better than console players. I'm not saying that there aren't some cracked console survivors/killers out there because I know there are it's just something to hold the people who want more challenging matches up until MMR releases. MMR was initially supposed to release with crossplay, but the devs messed it up so they had to delay the release of SBM.

Dead By Daylight isn't a game ready for competitive play. It has far too many balancing issues and suffers a lot from repetition.

Don't believe me? Take a look at all of the past tournaments. They were trainwrecks. Especially the one in Asia.

Go watch Deadby eSports or DBDLeague

    What is map seeding?

It allows the host of the lobby to choose the exact variation of a specific map to be played at any time. So for example both teams would be able to play the exact same Coal Tower (same pallet spawns, same gen spawns, etc.)

I'm not even someone who uses flashlights frequently, but Lightborn is a very problematic perk. Besides three particular killers (Wraith, Hag, and Nurse), flashlights have one and one utility only: blinding the killer. This perk completely counters a feature unlike anything else in the game. Not only that, but it actually punishes you for trying to use an item for its intended purpose. On top of that, it does it provide any feedback that it is in play. A killer never having to be afraid of being blinded just by equipping a perk is a cheap way out, no skill or game sense required.

At the very least, this perk needs to tell the survivor using the flashlight that Lightborn is in use. With how you devs are always changing and breaking flashlight angles, I don't think this is very much to ask. But taking it a step further, Lightborn should only use up flashlights 100/150/200% faster.

Yes, both Lightborn and Dead Hard should be nerfed/changed/made more fair IMO

  • This has to be a joke right

  • They need to just make it so she can activate her corrupt purge at any time as long as there is a corrupted fountain

  • It's weaker than Sprint Burst and Lithe, but stronger than DH, balanced, Head On

  • Longer test needed, I'd say leave it on for 1-2 weeks

  • @terumisan said:

All that does is make you hook slightly faster. Would you keep current bloodlust if you restart a chase or would it reset to no bloodlust?

You would be able to chain bloodlust. So if you start another chase within 9/12/15 seconds of ending one you keep your bloodlust at the same level you had it before and gain it normally.

  • @sleepywynd said:

Ehh still not a great perk over others.

It would be one of the stronger chase perks because it would allow you to chain bloodlust from target to target. It would definitely be really good on Oni for getting that first m1. Also other m1 killers like Myers.

  • Your fault for going down to a killer w/ basically no power (Myers)

  • He outplayed you, and you want the killer to get punished for it? Have you even tried getting better at the game????

  • Myers is the weakest killer in the game, I'm honestly starting to understand why the devs rarely respond to these because of pepega posts like this.

  • @Pig_Is_Pog said:

    title

Why is it linked to terror radius rather then just 32 metre proximity? doesn’t that just give certain killers the ability to completely bypass it over other killers for no real reason at all?

I put on bt mainly so i know i won’t ruin my benevolent badge by getting unsafe unhooks but the fact it’s linked to heartbeat is kinda just stupid, it’s suppose to be an anti farm perk so why can’t it just work against all killers? i don’t put in bt just for tinkerer to activate right as i unhook then me get a depip for unsafe unhooks.

This gives Stealth killers actual power, I don' think BT should be ranged base, I like it TR based. More fun gameplay for stealth killers this way.

  • I mean the roles are KILLER vs survivor

  • Yes the new HUD changes are solid, love where the vertical list is placed, just overall looks clean. However, I'm hoping the they'll address the status effect timers soon.

As shown in the recent Q&A stream, we have a proposed rework for Object of Obsession and we really want to hear the Community's Feedback on this.

Please comment your thoughts, ideas etc onto this thread for us to gain as much information as we can with regard to the above proposal.

Keep it civil please and be as constructive as possible, otherwise your comments will be removed and your feedback then not heard!

    {disclaimer - remember this is just a proposal for a change, not a guarantee that it will change or will take this form}

I don't like how it makes an already nearly useless killer perk completely useless (I'm All Ears). Maybe make it not active during chase or something.

  • @Mandy said:

I'm making this thread to try to put things in one place, I appreciate players frustrations right now - I'm a player too don't forget. But keeping your feedback constructive is imperative.

Please try to keep your points as clear as possible, comments such as "this is trash" is completely unhelpful and will just get comments ignored.

    Thank you

    Mandy

Red on red, what were you guys thinking? I can't even see my exhaustion timer go down. Please at least revert the status effect timers.

Whats wrong with it being mid chase, the effect only happens for 3 seconds every 30 seconds and if your talking about im all ears i dont really see the problem its supposed to counter perks like that and even im all ears lasts for like 6 seconds.

It makes perks and add ons like I'm All Ears completely useless.

  • I don't think Object should be active while in chase.

  • I like the new DS changes, the devs did a really good job here.

  • @Zesty said:

@SquillDBD Oh don't worry I read what you said, I just think you are using your hours played as a barrier to the real issue that we face with this perk. I have over 2k hours and I could say the same thing as you?

There is literally nothing wrong with Spine Chill. It doesn't at all tell you how close or far the killer is. If you are looking around a lot as killer and pressuring the entire map you won't have a problem with this perk. If a survivor hides every time they see spine chill light up nothing will get done.

  • @Zesty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1911876#Comment_1911876

I'm not talking about general awareness, I'm talking about how its just so stupid that the survivor has zero input on whether or not they will know if the killer is coming by looking at the perk, while the killer has to literally look in the opposite direction, losing sight of all survivors in the process, not to mention the perk has a 36M range, which is bigger than any killers terror radius, so do you walk backwards 36 m to go to a gen ? Sounds pretty broken to me!

Clearly you haven't read what I said at all. I have 4000+ hours in this game, and I've placed high in many tournaments so I guarantee you that I have a better understanding of the game, and Spine Chill is definitely not overpowered.

  • @Zesty said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1911842#Comment_1911842

That's ridiculous, that you have to look away and lose all awareness of your surroundings to counter a single perk!

No, that's not what I'm saying at all. If you were a good killer player you would understand why you need to flick your camera around a lot to even spot the smallest detail in the distance also being aware of what tiles survivors have available to them. All they will see is their spine chill quickly light up and then turn off. It's clear to me that you aren't the best killer player as you are complaining about spine chill which isn't a great perk to begin with.

  • You can counter spine chill just by flicking your camera and looking around a lot.

So what IS her counterplay? All I've heard are like "Don't walk in grass, use iron will, pray to god you drop that pallet on her".

From my experience, she is a total gamble, we don't know where she is, but she does where we are if she has stridor or has any good eyes.

Perhaps she does have counterplay, but it's clearly not enough of that comparing to most killers who have just an absurd amount of counterplays. Trapper: DH, untrapping yourself is pure chance, disabling a trap is done very quick, you can hold a trap for a survivor to go through it, untrapping a fellow survivor is also done very quick, you can sabotage traps, the game itself puts the trapper's traps in like corners no one would ever go to, the game already outplays the trapper for you, another thing that's a legit counterplay: low settings to see in grass better, like in autohaven... is that even grass? Or The Game, it becomes SO much more clear.

Let me make a spirit "counterplay" list that I know of, or atleast

    I can try:

-Don't walk in grass (Like there's not almost always grass).

-The classic Iron Will and Stand Still (A perk that's pretty meta so that's fair, but stridor go brrr).

-Always drop the pallet while she's phasing (And hope to god she gets stunned or get hit by it, it's again chance).

-You can tell apparently when she's phasing at a hand animation, but it should be a bit more noticeable like you can just hear demo scream when preparing a shred, or hear a huntress "humf" when she's preparing an axe, spirit needs a better tell.

I feel like these are the most popular/known ones, still most chance and situational. Almost no guarantees or did I forget/overlook some?

And I do want to say, it's not to the Devs fault of not telling us what spirit counters are, it's their fault not making any counterplay, or atleast ones I know of. I've also seen many people complain that she has barely any counterplay besides a 24/7 guessing game if she doesn't have stridor.

A bit of a ridiculous killer, it just needs more tells and would be a pretty nice killer to play against.

You need to play very safe vs her. Base kit, she only gets 5 seconds of phase, it's your job as the survivor not to get injured. Play stelathy vs her. As long as you're not injured as survivor you will have a lot of power in chase vs spirit. Also, you should always heal as it's very important to stay healthy. If she uses her power for mobility she has to wait a whole 15 seconds before getting it back, that's 3 seconds recharge for every 1 second of her power. I would hate to see spirit nerfed into the ground as she is one of the few tournament viable killers in the game currently. What I would like to see is the DBD community get overall better at the game because tournament "comp" dbd players are just on another level compared to the rest of the community which practically play like bots compared to comp players. This game has a lack of good guides and most of the community complains instead of trying to get better or saying something like: "Oh I could've played better in that situation," which really attributes to the problem. Please don't be a complainer, be someone who tries to get better at the game.

  • I don't think Spirit needs any changes apart from her add ons

  • Or maybe a replay system with a free cam so I can make cinematics for this game

  • @troy99 said:

Few months ago it was possible to hear spirit's noises during her power. It was efficient as a counterplay, and it kinda made sense since she's a.. spirit? I'm not saying she needs a nerf, well.. It's technically a nerf but would you bring it back? Would it effect your gameplay if you played as the spirit?

Spirit already has counter-play. Devs just do a horrible job of telling survivors how to play against her.

Why hasn't t bagging been taken out of this game yet?

My suggestion is it gets taken out if the game.

How much does a swf lobby nwed tp t bag at the end of the game sat st thw exit gate?

why do people complain about this lol I just find it funny. You all are just malding and need to get good

  • No as this can be abused with exhaustion perks

  • You can always just trade hooks with BT

  • They did hit. You're just getting thrown off by the animations. The indications for hatchet hits are very poorly-made because the were originally designed for p2p servers.

  • @Feather said:

Some killers are annoying to play against or playing as so i here is concepts of changing them:

    Deathslinger:

When Aiming down sight u cant shoot for 1s or 2s after clicking m2 (something like huntress wind up)

Perks Like STBFL or sloppy butcher wont work on his spear attack (Legion cant so why deathslinger can?)

This change will prevent from Insta shooting which is annoying and its not only my opinion.

    Nurse:

I wanna give her small nerf that i dont think will change her a lot

Like Pyramid Head when Charging Blink nurse should have reduced camera movement so it would be a little harder to aim i dont say it should be like as much as pyramid head have and would onlyy happen when charging.

    Legion:

After hitting survivour second time with feral frenzy your fatugue is reduced by 50%

Hitting survivour second time will extend mend timer by 25% (optional buff).

This would make Frank mix tape not that bad opion and hitting second time wouldnt be worthless.

    -Fuming mix tape:

    Map wide killer detection range

Any pallets u vault are unusable for 10s (something like bambozle)

-Iridescent Button: (all pins give status effect so why not red?)

Hitting highlighted survivour would give incapacitated status effect for 30s

    Pig:

Survivours that have unactivated traps on head cant see auras of boxes

    -Rule Set No.2

Give survivours ability to see auras of boxes

Boxes cant be searched until traps are activated

    -Amanda Letter

When Crouching u see survovurs auras within 16m

    Moderately increase movement while crouching

Slightly decreases time it takes to crouch

    Remove all boxes and traps

Survivours Hitted by Ambush are effected by Mangled status effect

I agree with the legion buffs. Deathslinger doesn't need a nerf and neither does nurse. There just need to be better tips in game for how to play against them.
