The worst is just when they plant themselves in a locker and run the game as long as possible out of spite
-
Meh- he just seems like if the survivors had free will they'd be able to just jump him lol- Also, has anyone else seen a spike in cringey game news about DBD's "new sexy killer we want to step on us"? The coverage it's getting is going to have a really ######### backlash
-
I'd have rather had a Michael Jackson Thriller zombie that breakdances after you... Sorry, not a kpop "stan" and don't think those are the player base that's gonna be attracted to the game...
-
I don't care either way, but ngl, social media is full of faux allies who obsess and then tantrum about anything that doesn't make it's focal point about who stuffs what into which genitals or who does or doesn't identify as this or that as if it's relevant while being put on meathooks...
-
Who cares, really- if there's no assigned sexuality to a character, they can just be whatever you want- Dwight in an elf suit gives off some vibes anyway XDD
-
I mean
.. If we get a kpop survivor... Who really gives a chit? If you like it... Okay? If you don't? So what? It's really nothing to get silly over either way- damn, and y'all call other things toxic without any self awareness
-
I feel like Springtrap is getting sideeyed for all the wrong reasons- robots aren't possessed animatronics- the character is essentially a zombie in a mascot costume with a metal skeleton. Now, I'm not lobbying FOR the character but I'm far from AGAINST it. As for a power, like the hag, a plotted jumpscare trap would be pretty effective with something like a base 10 second aura reveal or stun and reveal. Let's face it, on the business side, FNAF = purchases

No, that's Patricia :B

The first few days of every reset is going to be complete chaos haha

U have to learn the timing of when the doctor uses static blast.
Calm spirit and technician works well vs the doctor.
If u just suicide on hook Everytime ur just going to suck.
Like what ukenicky said. Use calm spirit. Calm spirit is actually OP as it helps w a lot more than just madness scream.
As a doctor main- I can confirm that calm spirit is the bane of my existence

People sometimes forget that a lot of what makes many Killers strong is exploiting mechanics in a way that probably wasn't part of the Devs original design concept.
Hag/Twins- Using your power to essentially face camp while multitasking the other Survivors.
Spirit- Standing still for free hits because Survivors can't tell when you're using your power.
Pyramid Head- Using your power to tunnel through Decisive. Using power to hit both Survivors on unhooks.
Demo/Pig- Exploiting the "basic attack" mechanic to have permanent 8 stacks on STBL.
Huntress- Hitting Survivors with close range hatchets because the cooldown is less than a standard M1.
Wraith- Using your hitbox mechanics in cloak to push Survivors into corners or out of pallet dropping range.
Ghost Face- Using the broken stealth reveal mechanics to expose Survivors that are looking directly at you.
Any others you can think of? It's funny that all these exploits of Killers were probably complete oversights by the Devs originally and they slowly just became "features" that were part of their overall balance. Remove most of these things and a lot of these Killers would become trash tier.
I'm gonna go ahead and say none of this is any more exploitative than having God loops memorized from being heavily familiar with permanent fixtures on specific maps or utilizing specific characters' skin tone and wardrobes to be able to camouflage easily

Unless you're playing with a SWF sweat squad who are all packing purple toolboxes and new part add-ons, gen rushing isn't an issue, you just gotta patrol gens

I'm a Maniac Cop fan (can even remember bothering my parents to rent Maniac Cop 3 when it was released on VHS), but honestly the franchise doesn't qualify a DBD inclusion. That's in terms of popularity and marketability.
Cordell would be a VERY niche addition, but just imagine how dirty cheap the rights would be, also the perfect excuse for a more urban map, too

The good cop and the bad one...Tapp and Cordell, and what would its power be? I have seen the first movie but not the others. I wonder if I would have to see the enormous strength as her power
Cordell would need to be a stealth and power killer, so I'd figure something like having zero terror radius while activated and a one-time no stun or auto break for pallets and doors until a basic attack is used to make his biggest focus a string edge on chase and pursuit- or in a radically different direction being able the handcuff and [no hook] slug a survivor until they're rescued or have to do a difficult skillcheck

Ps4 player here- I turned on crossplay to get a break from the post-game pissy DMs. I keep a balance on killer & solo survivor play and see the worst of both- and ngl I'd take a toxic killer over toxic teammates or playing killer vs toxic survivors. It's also easier to take an L from a toxic killer than play as a killer and taking an L since your match doesn't end after being tunnel hooked
-
Enter: the basement Bubba
-
The large number of red ranks really just watch enough streaming games to memorize God-loops and blendy hiding spots while flexing maximum altruism and hatch hunting- otherwise they play like newbs- I have more fun playing with/ against rank 5-10 survivors
-
After a survivors been hooked twice eliminate their ability to work on gens
After a killer has chased you for 20 seconds (tunneling) they get a speed decrease and cool down for 5 seconds

I don't know about that. I don't go out of my way to tunnel, nor do I go out of my way to avoid it and I regularly play against Red Rank Survivors. For the record, I will Camp, Tunnel, Slug, and use the Mori if a particular match calls for it. I don't consider these valid, tactics "scummy" but for the most part I consider them niche. I've never found just trying to tunnel one person after another off the hook to be particularly effective at advancement or winning overall. So, I don't do it because it doesn't work consistently enough, not because there is any moral reason. Does that make sense?
By in large I think the most important thing about fighting Red Ranks is playing against type, doing things which screw with their information advantage, and simply never taking your foot off their throat. There is just a much narrower margin for error. You want them running from you all the time. That means you have to find them and then not lose them. You have to herd your chase, so that you can drive more off the Generators as you go. And I, at least, am always thinking about how to get a good 3-Gen while herding too. I'm not sure if you would call that scummy or not.
My tunneling works like this- there's usually ONE survivor who tries to work as a distraction- I'll flat out ignore them and target the overly altruistic pest- otherwise I reserve it for when I KNOW I'm gonna get buried with 0k unless I play dirty
-
That's why i keep my killer and survivor rank around 14-15, any higher and I HAVE to play like a scumbag to keep in the game
-
Fight toxic with toxic and stop crying
-
This pasta is delicious
-
I found a good balance- killer or survivor I teeter between rank 14-10 and don't sweat hard enough to surpass that general play area- I keep my perks comfortable but not OP- even if it bites me in the ass I'll usually just slug the first survivor I down or on the flip side as a survivor I'll focus on gens OR helping teammates but won't sweat hard enough to be everywhere at once lol
-
Last night I had like 4 survivor rounds with cabinet dwights that wouldn't try and unhook anyone- it gets pretty stupid
-
I swear all tunnels camp at the PC
-
I blame the devs because I'm the best, most non-toxic, non-sweaty [main] on pc
-
Totally depends on the round- if you're up against a swf sweat squad who manage to pop off 2 gens and your totem in the first 30 seconds, 2k is a W I N
-
You.. Expect me to not have the blighted skin for the doctor...?
-
Meh- there are offerings to help with that- try playing blendette and get used to staying low if you're too easy to spot normally
-
IF you're hunting a specific survivor it's a good strategy- a lot of times if they're solo survivors, you can sniff out the one or two red rank, overly altruistic mother-hens that will constantly pop up to derail your mission- taking them out becomes your top priority, because that ONE survivor is the whole teams crutch
-
Bye Felicia
-
"I can't get guaranteed 4 survivor escapes and teabag into the sunset, so it's a bad killer" is literally all I took from this
-
Honestly I'm fiending for those new killer perks
-
I main as killer but play as survivor at least 1/3 of the time and dude- no lol. Gens popping off fast in the beginning are always from burning off add-one and toolboxes and after the first 2, unless you're garbage as a killer, there's plenty of time for the last 3 to apply pressure
-
Instead of crying on the internet- you can get over your bragging rights, stop playing so competitively and de-pip yourself into a more casual range
-
You need to look up the definition of the word "challenge"
-
His one OP ability is literally the only counter play to multiple survivors swarming any task at once which is a real pain in the ass while hooking in the end collapse

Ps4 here too, and it's never been that annoying
-
Depends who I'm maining as- I'll have a ton of fun as the pig but I'll have plenty of rounds where I tank, but as doctor I'm consistently getting 3&4k
As a survivor though I'm a 6/10
-
Because I don't want to give a squad of tryhard sweaty survivors the satisfaction ad they teabag into the sunset lol I'll only hit the exit if we've had a fun, no douchebag antics round

as long as I'm having a fun and enjoyable match I don't give to shits about winning.
I just took an L tonight that was one of my best recent memories playing- I was playing as doctor and we ran each other to a sweat- great round

I was lucky enough to be playing ghost face and had a squad of tbaggers and all around trash players at rank 4. They tbagged after every palet or window so I slugged them and tbagged them till they bled out (noone had unbreakable to my surprise after 2 min of me t-bagging them 2 left and only 2 were left
Any time I'm playing ghostface and a smug survivor teabags me thinking they're being cute, I absolutely return the favor by playing as toxic as possible and teabagging them until they're dead or DC

Trapper is on the cusp of over powered. One small tweak can really destroy the balance of this game.
I’d prefer they let him simmer exactly like he is.
He really is perfectly balanced- a tweak in either direction would ruin him
-
"Not winning makes the game miserable"
-
Tbh I've given up on using hexes- higher ranking survivors don't leave your totems active for long enough for them to make a difference unless you're able to put SERIOUS pressure on all 4 of them consistently. otherwise it's down to milking any OP add-ons and offerings to really do damage
-
Meanwhile.. The badham map exists in its current form.
-
Because most decent to great killer add-ons are incredibly OP and if they were all THAT effective the game would be completely lopsided
