Everytime I see "bgbomb" as the thread creator I know I'm in for a treat. You never disappoint.
-
Where are these "bully survivors" man, I'm bored of whack-a-moleing with bots 24/7.

Stop being afraid of change!
Fine.
How about they revert ALL changes and updates! We’ll go back to just Trapper, Wraith, Billy, Dwight, Claudette, Jake, Meg, MacMillan, Coldwind, and Azarov.
Happy?!
That sounds amazing, actually.
-
They aren't becoming more predictable, you just finally caught up to everyone else after 2 years.
-
So you're telling me it's an average match except one of them has limited perks? Wow, killer got even easier!
-
Sister it's really not that hard you just hold W and M1 occasionally.
-
My idea was to just add detailed keybinds for perk activations, so instead of having one "active ability" button that can only be used in so many ways (crouching for diversion, running for dead hard) just let us assign keybinds to perks. Allows them to be more creative, for example, we could have Red Herring press the button to set the gen then press it again at any time to make the notification, as opposed to the clunkiness of "work on gen for 3 seconds, find locker".

I said the same thing over a year ago and this same forum laughed at me, so good luck OP. The killers and survivors seem to enjoy it, despite what they may say.
OMG I'm so sorry you had to deal with that! I've gotten a decent amount of hate from this but I can shrug it off. Wouldn't wish it on anyone though. <3

Not a good look sis, sksksksksksksk.

Survivors want to be chased for the whole game because interaction.
1 VS 4 = I can't commit to chasing you survivors for more than 30 secs or gens pop like it's 1999.
Yes!!!

I mean...no shame...but your argument is shaky at best.
I love hiding. It's the ultimate "I outwitted you, nyah nyah"...
But you want to take away the part of the game where you....run away from the giant murder monster. In favor of a game where survivors sit in one spot so you can get cool slow kills?
Disregarding that a good chase is the most exciting thing ever, lol, this sounds less like a thoughtful examination of the state of the game and more like proposing an idea that you hope someone repeats back, so it feels validating.
Either troll...or, maybe not as ahead of the curve as you think.
I think I failed to be clearer with my point which a lot of people have pointed out. :(
What I mean is reduce the pallets to only a few and maybe make them slightly weaker, and then promote stealth gameplay by updating the maps to be less flat and empty, allowing for more diverse play. A good survivor doesn't need many pallets anyways!

This game is successful because of the chase interaction. This is a matter of fact. It was meant to be hide'n'seek, but everybody got bored and the devs embraced looping and the game bloomed whereas the competitors who bet on stealth failed.
Stop trying to change it into a game that it is not. Wanna play hide'n'seek? Go play a hide'n'seek game. But DbD is not that.
There's seems to be:
A) a problem of expectations, if you define 'doing well' as double pipping. I don't know where you got that from, even more so considering that the game is constantly being balance around 2k2e, which means double pipping should be rare in the red ranks by design;
and
B) of killer fundamentals if you think looping/chasing consists of running around as a headless chicken by holding W, dropping the pallet, rinse'n'reapeat. There's much more to it, such as route planning, resource management, zoning, path optimization on tiles, mindgaming, decision making, etc.
All my killers are prestige 3 and I played all of them at rank 1 to level them up. Some are weaker, some are stronger, but each and every one is playable and sustainable. I literally never had a trial that lasted 3 minutes over my 1.8k hours devotion 8 and a half. That's the kind of hyperbole that exists on this forum and on reddit, but not in the trials.
Accept that you win some and lose some. That's the nature of gaming.
Saying that the game consists of running in circles without thinking is plain rank 20 talk who goes down in 15 seconds as survivor and gets 5-gen run as killer. There's a lot of thinking that goes on during chases. For these reasons, I also seriously question the authenticity of your claim of 2.8k hours, unless you accrued those by leaving the game idle in the campfire screen. That would do the trick.
OK hun I respectfully disagree though.
-
Sorry I can't respond to all of you this is a bit overwhelming! I appreciate the feedback and it's nice to see most people stayed civil!

I totally agree! Looping is an outdated mindset for those, both killer and survivor, who refuse to adapt. Extraordinarily designed killers such as Rin, Caleb, and even our lovely Lisa can counteract that, but more needs to be done. There needs to be a shift to a more stealthy way of playing DBD; the way the devs originally intended. We need more survivors urbaning, lightweighting, quick and quieting and iron willing!
While I mostly agree, I think that some of those perks should be looked at if the games hopefully goes in this direction. When stealth is meta, I think survivors will realise how strong perks like Lightweight and especially Red Herring are!
Thanks for the feedback! <3

The loops/chases need to be long enough for the survivors to have fun. However loops/chases that long lose the game for killers.
I'd say rather than shortening loops/chases to keep up with the games speed the more fun solution is to keep the long loops/chases but slow the game down enough so that we can have those fun interactions without it costing the killer the entire game.
Sorry I probably should have elaborated more.
A lot of killers don't enjoy holding W around a pallet, because that's all they can do unless they're a high tier chase killer like Rin Sally and Caleb.
I appreciate the feedback though <3

And before salty survivor players come in here and try to Hour shame me, I have 2.8k hours with a roughly 50/50 split :DD
-
How did such obvious concern trolling even get this much attention.
-
Which one of you is paying my medical fees for the brain damage y'all gave me.
-
Hey look it's the guy everyone makes fun of.
-
I dunno man I'm having a great time. The only downside is that I'm running out of keys. :(
-
This is the most wobbly ######### I've ever seen I think I'm gonna throw up.
-
Uh oh Hunty is mad she lost her Iri Head and Ebony! :(
-
It's terrible gonna be honest.

@thisisntmax said:
Sis, just blend. Best way to play DBD at the moment. Play normal for normal killers, then blend for killers and give them the long games they crave.
This.
Also the brain rot being displayed by some people on this thread is both the most hilarious and depressing ######### I've seen in a while.

That's not the issue.
The issue is that, if you were to queue up with some rank 1s on coms, you'd still be facing lowbie killers due to survivor matchmaking protections.
And that means we should get banned because I'm not at a high rank because of the ######### ranking system?
Delusional.
-
I'm a 2.5k hour player who's currently low ranked as survivor because I rarely play it and when I do it's usually me and friends messing around etc and therefore not pipping. Guess I should be banned then.
There is nothing stopping him from killing them. Suppose I should be thankful for every killer I've ever ran for an extended period seeing as they haven't reported so I can get my oh so justified banned.

Yes, it is.
This is an obvious smurf group. They are abusing the survivor matchmaking protections to grief new killers by (likely) deliberately deranking.

If they're not doing gens you can kill them. Pallets are limited. It's not their fault they got matched with you lol.
-
A Deathslinger pfp with a not completely unreasonable opinion, huh.
-
I think I threw up in my mouth a little bit.
-
Spot on.
-
- Phantasms triggered: 3,560
- While speared: 582
- Cages of atonement: 81
(and I don't cage, I save for mori)
All three need changes.

Old Freddy main here, I miss him so much.
Microsleep is dumb, I just want Old Freddy but remove skill check waking up and use the alarm clocks instead. Generator TP can stay but your snare rework idea is also really cool.
Will never happen though because we need our 3IQ strong killer for those who need him.
-
Wow that resolution is TERRIBLE.
About 12 seconds.
-
No because I don't care.
-
The sheer amount of cope from mori using killer players on this thread is delicious.
-
Nope haven't noticed this at all lol.
-
Anyone who draws any conclusions from this tournament really needs to take a long hard look at themselves.
-
God no, it's not hard to aim and this would just mess me up more.
-
I won't disagree that the fence side wall has no reason to be broken most of the time, but do you really want them to add a breakable wall to shack...
-
Everyone's like "please stop adding new stuff and fix the old stuff" and they rework two maps instead of adding a new one and people really out here complaining.
Aight.

Thanks for the needless shaming over me learning a new killer. You’re so cool, Brewster!
Regardless, Billy can down with one rush without ping ponging off of walls, it really isn’t too off the wall to suggest that Blight could maybe compete in that dept especially with an ability called “Lethal” Rush. I don’t know, call me crazy.
If you don't want to be "shamed" AKA me just pointing out the flaw in what you yourself said, then maybe don't critique a killer you're clearly in the midst of learning and don't have a solid grasp on, "Brewster."
-
If it takes you THREE MATCHES for one Lethal Rush that's more an indicator to your skill level than the killer.

They’re under zero pressure, and had the opportunity to “make the most of it” with the situation I presented by earning additional BP cleansing totems.
My point stands.
You are oozing desperation.
If the killer's AFK, why should I waste my time looking for all five totems if I have no reason to believe the killer will even return, when I can just do the gens and leave to enter a real match.
-
This entire thread is cringe of the highest order.
Wow if the killer's standing still not doing anything survivors will generally do gens instead of all five totems who knew.
Help yourself, man.

Is it that much extra effort to just let go on hook if you get downed too quickly and/or afk in a corner if you can't down anyone?
So you understand why DC penalties are completely ineffective thank you sir.
-
@Aven_Fallen said:
The only people who think that DC Penalties are absurd are those who DC on their first down or when two Gens are done before they got a Hook. Aka those who DC quite frequently.
10 seconds on the forums and I already see a thread where someone got a penalty for the killer DCing but go off sis.

Franklin's, Knock Out, Dark Devotion and Haunted Grounds (which I will swap for BBQ for points).
Please take Pop and MYC off Hag for my own sake.

@NovaDuck said:
I don't think so at all. How is just damaging an item better than the chance to outright delete it? I think it's strong enough now to run as something more than a troll perk.
You said it yourself - chance. I prefer consistency. I lose most value besides the distraction from Franklin's - which old Franklin's already had - if it get's picked up.
