Absolutely nothing.

BHVR never admits to making any poor decisions when it comes to changes, or simply writes it off as "unintended" as we saw with the random flashlight/pick up blind changes quite a while ago. So, in that regard, the answer is never.

Old DBD was so pretty, god I miss it. Thank you for the screenshots!
-
Has anyone actually ever liked Legion? That's the real question. They've always had a bad rep ever since blade stacking for infinite mending and moonwalking chases was a thing.

I've spent more time playing survivor than killer this patch for sure. I didn't like using DH (wasn't good at it) and now that it's gone I'm more competitive relative to others when using different exhaustion perks. But by all means, attack the man not the argument. Ad hominem is the lazy man's fallacy.
I don't mind gens at all. I see it as the dirty work that has to get done. Do you want it to be all chases all the time? Because that's where fools cry about tunneling. I swear there's no way to make survivors happy. I just played several games where survivors spent more time looking for chests or just refused to unhook. SoloQ is bad for two reasons, lack of info and just terrible, selfish, brain dead people who don't care about anyone else in the trial. Being selfish doesn't work in a team game. You can't tug off to your stats at the end of the game because you're all dead.
It's perfectly fair to attack the man who must be rather new to the game but wants to give opinions on a role he has not played much of, and on a perk that he couldn't even utilise admittedly. I'm glad you enjoy doing gens and find the gameplay loop interesting, most people who are new do, they also tend to enjoy stealth. Maybe you'd enjoy that too?
Solo Q is bad mostly due to teammates. Information would help but there are plenty of times, even when running KIndred, you will see other players walk all the way to hook and still be too scared to unhook before second stage. Similarly, if you're playing against a competent killer, it takes only one baby meg to drop any and all pallets during her chase with her beloved Windows for you to realise most of the resources on the map are gone. At that point, most people if they've noticed most of the resources are gone and only 1-2 gens have popped, they would rather die because your teammates don't pull their weight. But that's selfish and toxic I guess. I just don't like trying to give MMR to players who can't loop basic tiles and hold m1 outside of chase.

Waiting to hear what YOU think this game is about. Because so far I hear you just complaining that you dont like doing gens and you dont like perks. Maybe call of duty is for you.
I swear, the amount of people complaining, and once you pull back the curtain, it just sounds like they dont want to play dead by daylight (or what's more likely, they just love to complain and you'll never make them happy).
Gens have never been fun, and are in desperate need of change or a secondary object to give something else to do. This has been the case for years, and the update only exacerbated that. Not that you play the survivor role though, your posts are always crying about DH or some wrong survivors have slighted against you.
-
Ah yes, the meta of holding m1 and only m1 and only saving a little before second stage hooks and doing gens together if you have prove. Meanwhile, hoping thana, eruption, overcharge isn't being played this game. Such fun.
-
I thought killers enjoy getting kills? I'm failing to see the problem here as to why they would have anything left to cry about?
-
Aww, tragic that you have to wait 5+ minutes for your thana legion game.

Can you at least get the gates open and everyone out and then sacrifice yourself to the Killer so you don't shaft the other survivor players?
That's what I do on normal games when it isn't boring or with deadweight teammates. Do gens, get gates open, suicide save, die.
-
Instant as survivor, even in a full SWF. KIller can range between 3 minutes to anywhere up to 15-20 at really bad times.

You played just to inflate kill rates? Am I reading that right? Bro, why?
I play for fun and to give people MMR they don't deserve so I don't have to play with them and can go lower and lower and mess about as much as I want to. :)
-
I've always died regardless of the game to stay in low MMR and inflate kill rates, since that's all anyone cares about. Though I mainly play killer now, so I'll be killing everyone and not getting two hooks and letting people go like I usually do.

There are many other combos that can be even more painful and worse. However the Killer comits therefore the majority of his loadout which means the killer will most likely dont have other strong perks that could also give alot of value.
I refuse to believe you are not an automated bot with this response bestie.

It seems since the patch a number of survivor mains have been screaming at the top of thier lungs that it is now impossible to escape. As a person who is usually killer but has been playing more Survivor since the map, and never having used DH whenever I did play before this patch, it seems fine. You just have to work now. I agree solo q is rougher, but its not as bad as people seem to think. Out of the about 20 games I've played since the patch has been out as Survivor, I would say I've escaped close to half the time, and pipped about 90% of the time. Maybe thats not the same for everyone, but it goes to show its still quite possible to do fine as a Survivor after the patch. Adjust your builds, learn to loop and juke, and learn to weigh the risks and rewards of various strategies. Think like a Killer has had to for years, and you too can do great as Survivor.
Oh, you never used DH? Playing more survivor you say? Sounds very familiar, you're probably quite well informed, I imagine, :) Just like the rest of the forums nowadays? Everyone who plays killer seems to be playing survivor now, magically.
-
As a x, I am y, therefore z.
-
I wonder why...
-
Only to avoid solo queue when I can't be bothered with it anymore, or I don't feel like holding m1 for a collective 3-4 minutes of my time in-game. Otherwise, I'll play survivor but derank every game at end-game or when it's a nurse/legion/plague.

90% of survivors issues is stemming from their dependence on DH to win chases while their buddies do gens. Too many crybaby survivor mains are too lazy to adapt to the new meta because their true skill level without a broken perk is showing. “wErE gOnNa QuiT”
Breathe through your nose, please. Your breath stinks.

Gens really aren't that bad, I've been running the new Deja vu, adrenaline, resilience, and prove thyself and they're flying by and if you get a squad running that type of build it's a real problem for the killer, 5 % speed on any gen you touch thats revealed to you, with 9 % resilience and add in 15 % prove thyself once you complete a gen and possibly meet someone else on the next one, you can repair up to 29% faster on a gen per survivor with the build.
Maybe people don't want to run progression perks? Maybe people want to run chaser perks, or meme about, and not be forced into running specific perks just to smooth out the game and counter any regression/deadweight teammates?

Guess you weren't around when Pallet Looping first became a thing, back in patch 1.4.0 when Myers came out. Bloodlust was/is a band aid fix for a broken hitbox/collision box exploit Survivors bullied the developers into keeping in the game by threatening to quit. That and the massive review bombs after true Infinites got taken out of the game thanks to Entity window blocking and three vaults. Take out Bloodlust, and every single Pallet Loop is a God Tier Loop that can easy waste a M1 killers time for over 30 seconds, which is an easy loss for the killer.
I've been playing since 2017. Bloodlust 1, at most, was required for those loops. Anything beyond that means you can't mind-game/run tiles. Not to mention, map pallet distribution and the amount of increased dead zones makes bloodlust even more ridiculous. People bring up old mechanics and things from the past that have long died as if it has any meaning or value in current debates, for whatever reason.
-
The changes to base break speeds, recovery and injured speed boosts are laughable when coupled with extra time on gens and faster gaining of bloodlust. Remove bloodlust and watch how many "skilled" killers cannot down someone on an unsafe loop. Killers are handheld in this regard, and have been for years, just as survivors have had it easy with E for distance.
-
It amazes me we've come full circle, instead of ranks being shown in lobby it's now prestige, because for some reason that's important but the killer's ping to server isn't?
-
hopefully huntress follows her and gets deactivated too with how bad server desync has been again
-
lol
-
Not running Shadowborn, Spies, BBQ, Nurse's for endless chasing and tracking? Sadge
-
Love it. 4 slowdown killers and people who want to end the game in five minutes have boring games, I have fun. :^)

To be honest, as someone who is not you and may have you in my games, I think the penalty needs to be more quickly ramped up. I do not want DCing players, for any reason, because it ruins it for me.
"I am entitled to your time, and only care about my experience when playing a multiplayer game."
-
It's saved me from no longer playing this game because of the same generic cookie cutter killers and their builds, and even if I'm getting worse team mates from dropping ranks, the games themselves are actually more fun and a lot of weird stuff goes on. So yes, it's effective and working as intended. Casual play/less sweaty players no longer have to deal with those that want to run the same stuff over and over again, and the higher rank killers can enjoy their long queue times and back to back SWFs.

It actually is an amazing reply.
Play killer and find out WHY you only see those killers/builds.
Oh and i´m sure, some survivor perks are also banned from tournaments. Yet, killers see them non stop.
No one cares about tournaments in this casual game, Tsulan. <3
-
I love reading this. Bring out your sweaty killer and get even higher in MMR so you get more optimal, boring build survivors. :) Then repeat the cycle of whining and complaining. Enjoy!

Tunnelers are trying to win. Face campers are trying to derank. Ez.
Campers actually rank up faster since rank is determined by kills.
-
It's fine, any time I get a sweaty killer I peace out early from the game and move on. I've deranked so far down the line I'm now getting newer players or not very good players, run meme builds, save my teammates and have fun. I'd recommend anyone else follows suit.
-
Clownery. 3/4 slowdown every game with strong add-ons on Blight, Slingrer, Nurse. :) Fun.
-
true. my bags at every vault and pallet is pretty powerful and strong.
-
Big waste of time if on it's own. With desperate and botany, it has an effective use and allows you to heal everyone else faster too.

Ah yes, the classic Entitled Survivor power move; throw the match if the Killer does not personally PM every Survivor in the lobby and ask who dislikes which Killer, so they can avoid playing those Killers.
Are we supposed to keep notes of every Survivor's screennames so we can ensure we never play a Killer each Survivor hates?
Either man up and accept that the Killer can pick whoever they want, or stop playing. This 'I AFK/hook-suicide/throw if I get a Killer I can't mindlessly loop 🤪' entitled baby mindset is getting really old.
You're right. I should play out my four slow downs Twins game who slugs at 5 gens, instead of just going next & watching YT.
-
I wouldn't. I'd fix the current ones.
-
It's for me to have fun games and not be forced into four slow down sweats every game when I want to meme or play sub-optimally for a change. :)
-
im truly shocked that running four regression isn't fun compared to chaser perks way back in 2017-2018. shocked, i tell you.
-
what do you mean? all the vet players who came with the resident evil patch really like it :)
-
Survivor queues are instant and have been for months, but pop off queen. You fight for killer rights.
-
She's a fundamentally poorly designed killer, like most of the newer killers in recent patches. You'd have to rework her power from the ground up if you actually wanted to make meaningful change.
-
meta blight build. all i need to see + a nice cone hitbox hit through a pallet/window they don't deserve and i'd be good too
-
*pant pant pant* hit survivor *pant pant pant away from survivor*
Engaging chases.

'If the killer didn't let gens get done' what? So the Killer is now obligated to give Survivors gens or it's 'holding the game hostage'? 😂
i love reddit killers omg
-
true. so much unbreakable ds value since the ds nerf.
-
Spirit icon. I wonder why they DC'd in your games...
-
These are the same people who say this but then also complain on the forums about body blocks, swf, flashlight saves (because looking at a wall is hard) and "second chance" perks when using four slow down.
-
Adapt to the DCs and loss of your BBQ stacks honestly.
