Have had access to it since I purchased the Halloween DLC with basegame 2 years ago. I think I've used it that one time to test it out and that's about it. Thought it was pretty garbage since on top of everything you have to do a difficult skillcheck, and never felt the need to include it in any build, because when does it realistically work anyway? 90% of survivors I see using DS get downed while attempting to escape. Never whitnessed this "aggressive" stance killers complain so much about, it possibly only happens in red ranks, and I've never gotten that far.

But after horribly lagging at the start of the match and being almost immediately downed because killer spawned very close to me, being unable to start struggling right away while being taken straight to the basement (the free hook wasn't enough for the killer), then being basement camped, downed and picked up again after someone attempted to rescue me, I really did think to myself . . . maybe I should start using DS. Even if I still don't think it would have helped much.

So killers, you brought this upon yourselves.

Eh, as a solo survivor, I get farmed a lot. LOTS of games where two or all three teammates haven't even been touched much less hooked and I just keep getting farmed. I had a game the other day where I was downed FIVE times. One teammate was hit once but not hooked, the other two hadn't been touched. At least I had a chance with DS, especially when survivor queues are so long.

I miss old Autohaven too. They were the funnest, most balanced (imo) maps in the game.

Agreed. I know there was always some RNG involved but it seemed to me like old Autohaven was the most fair for both sides.

Holy hell! I'm going to play freddy and burn for auto haven just to finally see what it looks like. Thanks.

What do you think I should work on? I know that as Hag, you're not supposed to loop normally, but somehow it always ends up with me getting outlooped. Should I place traps while chasing? Should I try to get better at chasing itself, as in, play more typical M1 killers? I try to practice mind games but it feels like if I mindgame, they don't try to loop they just run, but if I don't they loop for days.

Oh I have no idea about what to work on with Hag. Definitely not my area of expertise. I'd watch some Youtube videos on Hag if she's who you want to learn and then work on those things. But don't let this game make you feel bad. You know you're still working on learning and that match making is garbage. There's nothing you can do about that.

Ever since Billy's...erm..update..his play rate has dropped to near nothing,, now while I like some of the new tools he has he feels like he's a bit too stretched at present..I think we can afford to toss billy a little bone, my suggestion? Remove the charge penalty from his engravings ,, the only charge enhancing addons he has now are really bad..heck I'd advocate for their removal for something usable if you worry they'd pair with these new engravings, much like with docs electrodes i feel this will be a nice quality change and make the addons feel more worth picking..billy lost a lot of power, he can afford to get a little back and it would be easy to implement

As a solo survivor, I love going against Billys. They have that OH ######### factor and if a Billy is actually good, they've put in the time and earned it. I love his new chase music too. It's creepy.

    (Inb4 "Just bring franklins 4head")

Been a lot of key gamers recently since the mori nerf, probably since they know keys will be nerfed soon and that the mori nerf was a massive red flag. Maybe they should've been changed at the same time to avoid this exact issue happening.

Anyway, I've seen quite the varying playstyles with them. I've seen people get a 3 man escape out of a 3 gen with a key they've got from a chest with NO chest perks.

I've seen somebody literally let their 2 teammates die on hook for BOTH stages and get out for free with a key.

And finally I've seen the people who are so bad at the game that they don't even get to use the key in the first place.

So, this begs the question, when keys are changed, are they going to be changed correctly?

The current rework people want which is letting only 1 person escape with them does NOT fix the core issue with the item - getting effortless, undeserved escapes after a bad game. As long as people bring one or more key then it's just as BS as before.

Will keys be removed from chests? I don't run chest builds myself, but my friend who runs them got a key in 4 of the 6 survivor games he had. If keys are still going to appear out of pure luck they shouldn't be strong, at all.

Idk, I just really don't have faith that keys are going to be changed in a good way.

Blame the devs. I saw TONS of ebony moris before the nerf and they were already more common than keys ever were. There's also the challenge in the tome again. I personally hate keys as a solo survivor. Killers have no idea how many times one person has screwed over other teammates by refusing to help with gens and then leaving.

  • @WalkedMoss92 said:

Like seriously?? Why would would do that? How would you feel if all of your other teammates let you die on your first hook, especially if you were doing really good that match? It feels terrible.

It's even worse if they let you get to your second phase on hook or death hook and NO ONE is working on gens during that time.

Don't convince yourself that you're good at the game if you had let your other teammates die so early off in the game like that.

Agreed. Especially when that person when down in the first place to keep you from being tunneled. Not that that happened to me or anything today. But it was on the new Autohaven so I was happy to die. I get left to die on my first hook a lot as a solo survivor. I could understand against a camping Bubba or Billy but when it's a Wraith or Myers you know doesn't have perma tier 3, good god, make a freaking save.

I just played 3 matches as Killer and got absolutely destroyed every time. I'm not tilted, the survivors played well, it's not their fault I'm being matched with them, but they were ridiculously good and I was ridiculously not. I'm a green rank Hag main.

I feel like garbage now and I don't really know how to not feel like garbage after times like this. I'm sure most red rank killers went through stuff like this, how do I get better without feeling awful about myself?

If you know it's bad match making and you're still learning the game, why do you let it make you feel bad? Most of the time when I play killer, I go into the game assuming I will have unfair match making and just try to work on getting better at something. Focus on that. Make smart plays, work on something specific. It's not about how many kills you get.

  • @Shirokinukatsukami said:

They didn't stop playing, they just stopped doing gens, which isn't quite the same.

If you're finding that that's how people play in your neck of the woods, "Do as the Romans do" as they say. When there's only 2 gens to go start playing it safe and wait for someone to get chased before working on a gen.

What these survivors are doing is exactly the same: they are waiting for someone to get caught before taking teh risk, because in this game chances are the survivor being chased when there's only 1-2 gens left is the survivor who dies, or at least the one who is on the hook when the gates light up. And as you know when the gates light up the killer's best strategy is to camp.

If it really bothers you play with a selfish build. Take Left Behind, Plunderer and Appraisal and wait it out. If your team dies no biggie you can find the hatch after they all die.

I'm at the point where I purposely get found just to get out of these games. I am not going to stand near a gen that's already done and wait for the killer to happen upon my three Urban Evading, Spine Chill teammates who aren't doing anything.

This has always happened occasionally but lately its MOST of my games and I'm so tired of it.

  • @MythMage said:

I disagree. You know how people hate Spirit because she's mostly guesswork (she's really not, but for the sake of argument)? That was deception. It was literally a 50/50 on whether or not they actually entered the locker or if it was Deception, and not having any context clues to help Killers form a rational choice could waste a ton of the Killer's time, which we all know is too limited rn.

Spirit is not guesswork though? Ig uess you're right. When I get pulled off a gen without any warning, I didn't have the chance to guess.

Piggies, do you let them boop the snoot or are you feral?

    lol, "are you feral?"

I personally try to play with as much rabies as I can when I play Pig. I'm a survivor main though so my killer is like 17 and if I don't get curb stomped by red and purple swfs, fairly matched survivors are far too terrified to boop muh snoot. If someone did boop my snoot, I'd let them go about their business while I looked for others.

Honestly they should toss everything in there eventually. Charms, exclusives, legacy look alikes, or at least do something like the charity case in the days before the store. A lot of cosmetics are just rotting away never to be seen again and someone, somewhere, at some point will want to wear Ohm's wraith skin.

I think cosmetics should stay unique to the Tome they're in but I wish the Tome or Rift or whatever it's called never existed. It ruins the game as a solo survivor. I know certain challenges are awful for killers too. I wish we would have just had a faster rotating shop with all these cosmetics in there instead of having to throw games to get challenges done.

  • @ill_Boston_lli said:

Normally it would be a cake walk but WHAT HAVE YOU DONE to flashlights????? It starts to beam and then just stops is the hitbox smaller??

I never bother trying to get flashlight saves. Since I've been playing the game, there have just been too many changes that they devs make to flashlights and I'm not going to bother relearning things. I just saw this challenge and I rolled my eyes. I don't think I'll even try.

  • @pseudechis said:

Man what a night. I'd say its been one star game experience after one star game tonight.

It's like some kind of toxic survivor quagmire this evening, this is not about win/loss its about just obnoxious behaviour and abusive post game chat.

The last game was really the icing on the cake 3x nea swf that kept sandbagging the fourth player, while trying to constantly circle and taunt me. They weren't doing gens they were just hanging around circling and trying to block the David with pallets.

Now its free pressure for me so who cares just kill em and move on but I thought I don't even really want to play with these people. So I'm not gonna lie I ignored the Neas chased the david around a bit to let him stun me and escape a few times for the blood points and then just DC'd.

I'm not condoning the DC, its against game rules, but just I really didn't want to interact with these people. Nor should I have to.

But I was happy to see the David got at least a reasonable amount of bloodpoints while the Neas got jack ######### outside of the DC bonus. That feels like a bigger win than having actually gamed with them.

Man I wish this game had bots because as it stands right now a large section of the community are people you would just ever game with.

People can play however they want. I've been hard tunneled three times tonight for reasons unknown to me. I guess I should just stand still or maybe only run in a straight line if I do have the audacity to move? I'm not sure. But three games tonight I've been downed four times (I always run DS for this very reason) and my teammates haven't been hooked once. I mean, if they only want one kill, it is what it is. Life of a solo queuer.

  • I dont think killers realize how often keys in games actually help them. As a solo survivor, most of the time my teammates stop playing if they even try at all. They strand two people with one gen to go and take the hatch instead of helping and having all three people have the chance. It happens all the time. I'm sure SWF is annoying, but I don't think it happens as much as keys actually hurt solo survivors. And blame the devs for once again putting a hatch escape challenge in the rift.

  • @scenekiller said:

So, I've been playing this game since September 2019. I like to think I've gotten the ropes of it - I don't pretend to be the best survivor ever, but I think I'm fairly good.

That said, survivor solo queue has been a nightmare lately, as I've said in another topic. So instead of just being frustrated by it, I figured I'd ask the community: what are your best recommended solo queue builds?

Currently I'm a rank 3, running DS, Spine Chill, Kindred, and WGLF (because I love the BPs, I realize this doesn't help a whole lot in solo queue)

Any thoughts, suggestions, or builds you run?

Ruin is a lot stronger now as a solo player than it was before. I always run Small Game. DS is a must because teammates will not take hits for you no matter what. Adren helps a lot. And I like Dead Hard even though it fails at least once almost every game.

  • @chargernick85 said:

Got autohaven probably my least favorite Map right now always seem to get it when I use the slow killers but got Evil Within 3 with mike pretty quickly but of course that auto aim bull that's going on would not let me hit a single Survivor unless they ran in a straight line. And it's very rare you get people who do that. My entire Evil Within 3 could have down the entire team but it would not let me hit anyone. Got one hook because of it.

I've been getting hard tunneled out of a lot of games. Literally I am downed four times and my other three teammates aren't even touched once. It's happened three times today. Seems this game is miserable for a lot of us today.

And RIP Autohaven. It used to be my favorite map and now it seems almost everyone hates it. Good job, devs!

  • I haven't seen any Twins have any problems. Every killer slugs, stands over their body, sends Victor out, slugs and repeats. I think every twin I've gone against has had a 4k. Yes, a lot is garbage teammates but there definitely are some killers out there with controller who are doing just fine with them.

But I'm with you. I despise them as well. Waiting 10-20 minutes for a game where you're slugged twice at five gens is miserable. I just kill myself on first hook now because I'm not wasting any more time against that killer.

  • I despise the Autohaven rework. It always seemed like that map was pretty fair for both sides. I've played it as both killer and survivor and I hate it. Same with Yamaoka. I'm not sure why they devs constantly need to change things that don't need to be changed? You put all this time into learning a game and then things get changed and you have to relearn maps. If you even can, because they're so dark. I get the rework for Badham and Haddonfield (I assume it's coming) but MacMillan and Autohaven didn't seem necessary to me.

Trapper was one of my favorite killers to play. I stopped because I so often get good SWFs I can't do anything against, but it's a shame he's even weaker now with these changes.

  • @Clevite said:

To OP, it sucks. But as in Football, tie goes to the receiver. I believe same here.

Tie should go to the killer, he downed you, took you to a hook, maybe a far one if you were almost off. They deserve the hook.

Not entirely sure I follow that logic but sure.

  • @Heartbound said:

Hopefully that frustration doesn't Boil Over. I know it takes a bit of Tenacity not to Flip-Flop, but it's a Power Struggle between you and the killer.

It's not that they're bad, it's that Ghostie is a universally slow killer. In order to make an approach you have to go the long way every single time or just never use your power, and when his power is active it's nearly useless because there's a delay on breaking you out of it even if you get behind cover. He's often rated at B tier but I'd put him at D against good survivors.

No, most are indeed bad. Just like most Blendettes are bad. I've literally come across maybe three or four actual good Blendettes in more than 1000 hours in this game. I'm sure there are good Ghostfeces out there, but they're rare.

  • @TicTac said:

I start a match and 90% of the time another survivor joins me on the gen. Its not like there was no other gen near, they just decided to group up.

There are 7 Gens on the map, when theres no corrupt. SEVEN

It should be obvious that splitting up makes it harder for the killer to stop gens. But i guess not.

Working together on a gen gives 15% slowdown. Same as 3 stacks of thana.

Dont get me wrong there a situations where you should group on gens.

But at the start you should only do it when you spawn with 3-4 survivors on one gen and can finish it before the killer comes.

With prove thyself you give the killer atleast no additional slowdown perk.

Eh. As a solo survivor, Ruin is a lot stronger than it was. If it's not cleansed, I'm not going to work on a gen alone. One hook and I lose all my progress either because they BBQ to me or because I have to make the save. And I swear, every time I run Prove I get like 700 Legions with Discordance.

  • Just had a game where a Huntress was hard tunneling an Elodie. Two of us and turned into Secret Service Agents and kept her safe for the rest of the game. I'm usually the one hard tunneled while my three teammates don't even get touched, so it was nice to see another person go out of their way to help her. I hope that Dwight ends up in my lobby someday....

With all these threads about Ruin+Undying being boring, I figured it was time for a killer perspective that did that same thing.

I'd love to not use them, but so many killers camp and tunnel, eh, what can you do. And on console, we don't see the constant Ruin/Undying that people are talking about. At least I don't. Plus I always run Small Game and touch all the totems.

These posts just have me like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As big fan of horror I thought this game would be my holy grail but I was disappointed after my first game with how un-scary it was. So, what would you guys change to make dbd bit more thrilling? Personally I would like to see the game reworked to be more stealth oriented, but for very obvious reasons, that's never gonna happen.

Stealth for me is the most boring thing about DBD. I personally think the killers that have that OH CRAP factor such as Billy and Oni are the most fun to go against. Ghostface is the most boring killer to go against for me. He's the Blendette of killers - relies entirely on stealth and they're usually bad at the game.

  • I wish my random teammates would as well.

  • @TicTac said:

Its widely known that tunneling instead of hooking every survivor is more effective. Its not even straight up tunneling one person, only ignoring one person and never chasing them, gives the killer a better chance. Hooking every survivor three times makes the game a lot harder.

So would you as killer or survivor want a mechanic which makes 12 hooking viable? Or what are your reasons against it? Would it make games too long?

Edit: the goal is that the killer shouldnt be penalized for not tunneling a survivor to death.

I dont play a lot of killer but when I do, I'd rather earn it. I don't want the noobs to let some poor soul die on their first hook. I have fun playing the game, so getting 12 hooks would be just that. I know a lot of killers don't have that mentality though. A 4k is all that matters. Could be because they never have the long waits that survivors do.

  • I'm a survivor main and my killer is level 18. If I actually get fair match making, people just Urban Evade and use Spine Chill so I can never find anyone. Which is why I use Doctor.

Most of the time it doesn't matter what killer I used because I get SWF's that are really out of balance for my skill level. Red and Purple ranks with MAYBE one person who is at my level. I try to find the noob and chase them since I know I'm not going to win against really good people, but they usually just Spine Chill Urban Evade so I can't find them anyway.

You should be able to report them to Sony or Microsoft, pretty sure that kind of thing violates the TOS for their services,

I used to report people when they'd send me messages with homophobic slurs and I got a message from Playstation telling me I was abusing their report system. I was like, no, that's how often I get randos using slurs because they didn't like something I did in-game. So I don't bother anymore.

I had three gens left and everyone in the same area of the stairs in Hawkens. The difficult gen was out of the way and every survivor was being way too altruistic. Then this happened, I hooked a nea, she got unhooked, I downed and hooked three survivors, then caught and downed her, then was promptly DS'd and lost every drop of pressure I had on the map. I then promptly lost with one kill. How is this goddamn acceptable? Why was pop nerfed before this goddamn perk?? With pop you have to hook, walk to a gen, kick it, then go and find a survivor. But with DS if you've been unhooked under 60 seconds ago you're invincible and can't be touched.

I do love the killer mentality that anything but a 4k is a loss. When I run a garbage killer for 3-5 gens and then get facecamped I'm like, well at least three people had the easiest win of their life. I'm not screaming that *I* LOST AND SOMETHING MUST BE DONE.

  • I'd love to know the stats for how often there are four man SWFs at all the same skill level. It seems most of the people screaming about how unfair this game is for killers use that as the standard.

I have more than 1000 hours in this game and have NEVER had that experience. All my friends quit playing this game (literally seven different people tried it) because match making was so bad we couldn't even get two gens done most games. It's funny that when SWF greatly benefits the killers, no one has anything to say ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

  • @gatsby said:

Landing Victor’s pounce is very similar to landing a close range hatchet with Huntress. The hitbox is smaller and more directional than a standard M1 lunge attack. PC Survivors can spin like crazy to take advantage of that, so its much easier to mess up. Console Survivors, however, usually don’t have the sensitivity to do crazy spins so they get hit much easier.

So pro tip for Twins players. Reset your Survivor lobbies until you get console players. It’s a decent advantage

Manipulate the game until you get the unfair advantage? Sounds about right.

  • I have more than 1000 hours in this game, and I'm not ever scared to play it. A killer has to give me a reason to be afraid of them. I'm not going to go to a haunted house and then sit in the parking lot because I'm too scared to go inside. I'm not going to wait 5-20 minutes for a game and then be too terrified to do anything but Urban Evade when Spine Chill goes off.

Survivors who do nothing but hide are boring and make the game less fun for everyone.

I agree with you though that the devs are killing their own game. As a solo survivor, the Tome and challenges have destroyed the game for me. I'm wrapping things up with this last Rift, but no matter how much I want it to be the same game, it's just not and won't ever be again. When you have three teammates who don't have any intention of actually playing, just working on challenges, it's a nightmare. No thanks.

Actually, if survivor queues are long, one of the quickest ways to fix it is just ban a bunch of survivor players. Boom, fewer survivors per killer player so the survivors left will have faster queues!

Really? You keep getting teammates who block you in? That's weird. And dickish. And a bannable offense, actually. If a teammate body blocks you and prevents you from playing the game, record it and report that player. If you don't report the player for doing it, they can't get banned and the problem will continue.

I've had people message me that they're telling the killer where I am. I play on console, no one will ever get banned.

But yeah it's been happening a lot lately, and it never used to happen at all, so it's very weird. I've always been a totem toucher, so when a game starts I try to cleanse at least one totem before I start on gens. I had it happen five times in three days, that someone blocked me in while cleansing. One time, a second person came to block both me and the first person who blocked me in. It was especially fun when it turned out to be a Legion and he got three of the easiest mends of his life.

The only way they are going to close the gap between solo and swf is if they add voice chat. We know that. They know that.

The only reason they havn't is because there is this dumb stigma that "language barrier's will be a problem" or "people won't use it". Which is stupid.

I like not having to hear my teammates. Yes, solo queue is painful, but me telling them that I ran the killer for five gens and I'd appreciate it if you guys unhooked me from this face camping WRAITH won't make people be suddenly good at the game.

when and where should someone intentionally DC from the game?

what about minor things? honestly in a lot of cases Id rather wait out the DC penalty than wait in game for sweaty toxic swf or and slugging killer but thats because Id rather not let the other side get more out of my pain.

I've had a bunch of teammates block me in when I'm cleansing a totem lately. Like, it's happening 2-3 times in a few hours. And that's happened more than once. I DC every time and just go play another game. I'm not waiting to play a game that bans me from playing. Meanwhile, we have queues that are sometimes 20 minutes long. But hey, keep banning people from playing the game, devs.

  • Spine Chill makes the game boring but it's very popular with bad survivors, which seem to be most of them. I sometimes use Resilience because I am almost always the only person willing to play injured, and I'm the only person who doesn't stop playing and wait for everyone else to finish the last 1-3 gens.

Tunnel out someone early and aggressively three gen.

It seems to me like most Killers have given up on the concept of map pressure and just want to guarantee kills and game stall with the least amount of skill in chase as possible

I've been getting facecamped a lot lately. It would be fine but as a solo survivor, most teammates are happy to have the easiest game of their life and walk out without being touched.

Just spun a Wraith twice. He got me eventually. Camped my hook, tunneled and slugged. He camped my hook, I got farmed, tunneled and slugged a second time. I was fully recovered but my three teammates who hadn't been touched were too afraid to get hit with one gen left by a Wraith who stood over me and rang his bell nonstop. I dc'ed. I'm going to enjoy not playing this game for three days (my self imposed break). I guess I should have just kept going straight and not tried to avoid being hit. I really deserved it for spinning him twice.

I guess killers have an ax to grind now that moris are out of the game. It's been really nasty lately. I'll miss this game when I delete it after this tome but it's a nightmare now.

Everyone’s busy complaining about bugs, so nobody’s actually talking about the gameplay of the Twins. Not that I’ve seen anyway.

Have you found any super effective builds? Any surprisingly effective non-meta perks?

Every Twin I've gone against slugs so I just kill myself on first hook. It's boring and I want to play the game but it seems to be effective.

I have been slowly losing my sanity to dead by daylight recently. We have had bugs that make the game irritating but truthfully nothing has been more frustrating than just general things already meant to be in the game. I have for hours been trying to get the 8 gens with pop goes the weasel challenge done but I have been gen rushed to holy hell every time I try. There are some single trials every tome that are frustrating beyond belief to unlock and they truthfully need to stop. The grind is enough already and it's just life consuming and mentally draining to have to imagine trying to beat people to gens for great skill checks in a single trial or get multiple specific hooks in a single trial or this and that in a single trial. Key words "in a single trial". We should just be able to play the ######### game and try to enjoy it while getting stuff unlocked without the added chaos of having to need it done right there in that trial. Some are easy and others are just a rage inducers regardless the side you play. Aside from this I have had to as I'm sure many have out there endure the horrific double window vault locations specifically the terrible 4 window vault area in a Macmillan map where two sets of double vault windows spawn and in between them is a small rock pallet loop. I got ran an entire game to 1 gen trying to get someone down. I get bamboozle is a perk but I shouldn't have to run it just to defend against something like that as a killer. I mean damn you're one person against 4 and almost every damn time it's a survive with friends and you're just screwed because they will always have your location, where you're going and what you're deciding to do. Another bad match tonight was a tremendously awful scream match at the backwater swamp where I was run by a zarina at the long log in front of the boat. I got ran endlessly by that area and what was worse was I couldn't see scratch marks half the time or they looked like they disappeared because the grass in that map is so dark and hard to navigate it's easy to go blind. I never screamed so much profanity more than I have today especially with after every time I got ran trying to do a challenge mind you I have to constantly read gg ez or something that's toxic towards me basically being bad at the game. I have had amazing matches and played greatly before but these challenges we get and the loops in the maps right now are just too much to bear at times. I have disconnected multiple times today and the other thing I can say needs to go is the penalty for leaving. I have broken down so many times just because I didn't wanna have a timer say no you can't play for this amount of time that gets bigger the more you do it. I have watched many streams to say I can't believe there isn't a better system for us to get what we need said to the devs than a stupid q&a that barely gets real good questions. I'm tired of seeing what are you doing for this killer and this survivor and is there a rework of this perk or that perk. I just want some one from behaviour to read this and answer this question. Will you just stop doing nerfs and buffs for awhile and really look at the issues the game has. The unfair advantages that each side has, and more so the unfairness to killers that has been shown. If you guys wanted to change up moris you could've made it to where all survivors need to all be 1st hooked before every survivor can be moried and kept the ivory the same. That way killers would have to leave tunneling behind and pressure the other survivors in game if they want to be able to get the mori on everyone activated. Theres so many things i can spout out that should be changed because the game is toxic to itself and thus toxic to me the player and im increasingly starting to be unable to handle it after supporting the game for so long. I know this has crap comments written all over it but I have no regret venting this and will be working on a list of things that actually will fix the game we are all playing not just a list of this and that for people to complain about but something that gets read and possibly gets a conversation going about making the game that's loveable and incredibly hateable just simply good and fair to a point where it's just great and there's fairness finally with balance. If anything I at least want to see the devs put an end to single trial challenges and I hope many do too.

I think the Tome/Rift were the worst thing that happened to this game. The challenges make playing as a solo survivor absolutely miserable. Killers seem to have an ax to grind about the mori's being removed. I never run unbreakable but I'm getting slugged so much at five gens I'm about to start. Not to mention the outright face camping and tunneling, if my teammates can even be bothered to farm me off the hook against some scary Wraith.

If the game isn't fun, take a break. I took months away when the challenges destroyed the game for me. I just came back recently to see if it was any better. It's sad to say but I think I'll be permanently stepping away from DBD. It's just not the same game anymore and it never will be with the challenges. Don't keep playing a game you don't like anymore just because you put time into it in the past. That's the boat I'm in. This is my farewell tour to DBD.

Yeah, Devs. You did it!. It's impossible to play as killer nowadays.

Do you guys even try the game you're developing? Did you know that, right now, if you choose play as killer, you find a match in less than 5 seconds EVERY TIME, simply because nobody wants to play as killer anymore, and if you choose to play as survivor, you face a long time waiting, more than 5 minutes sometimes?

If that's what you guys are aiming for, at least remove the killer's missions, since it's quite impossible to complete them now. Leave only survivor's missions, so we can advance properly on The Rift.

Survivor queues have always been long.

I'm forcing myself to step away from this game for three days despite wanting to complete more rift challenges. I just cannot take waiting 15 minutes for a survivor game and then being face camped by some maladjusted killer and dying on first hook because my teammates are terrified of being hit even once.

As a survivor main, I have more fun playing killer lately. At least I get to play the entire game and not get slugged at five gens or face camped and farmed and tunneled out of every game.
