Just thought about this... why don't they just give us the cosmetics as login rewards?
They've shown they're clearly capable of it. Why go through the whole code bullcrap when they could just give us the cosmetics as a login reward?
They did it with the anniversary cosmetics for claudette and deathslinger, why not do it now?

They want you to go into the store, see something cool and buy it.
Wouldn't surprise me if they put the frosty eyes up for sale after their codes expire, but I imagine that would make a lot of people extremely mad.
Honestly they should toss everything in there eventually. Charms, exclusives, legacy look alikes, or at least do something like the charity case in the days before the store. A lot of cosmetics are just rotting away never to be seen again and someone, somewhere, at some point will want to wear Ohm's wraith skin.
It is to reward people invested in the game. If you are the type of dude that ignores the news updates, doesn't follow the forums or social media, et al then you wouldn't notice. It is to encourage more active participation.
They've always just given the frosty eyes out in the past. All new players get them too, don't they? It's really weird they're giving codes for them this year and treating them differently than the previous killers' frosty eyes.

And how is typing in a code active participation? You can still just outright ignore gameplay. Typing in a code Is just extra hoops to Jump through to get the cosmetics, when they literally had zero problems just giving them to us for Deathslinger and claudette.
Because if it's not obvious now, it's literally about $$$.
But if you are not active in the community or even READING the news updates you wouldn't even know the code exists.
I think cosmetics should stay unique to the Tome they're in but I wish the Tome or Rift or whatever it's called never existed. It ruins the game as a solo survivor. I know certain challenges are awful for killers too. I wish we would have just had a faster rotating shop with all these cosmetics in there instead of having to throw games to get challenges done.
