Lol seriously, if I stare at a tree from 16 meters away because I see your hand, that is me giving you a chance to live. But no, they just crouch there...waiting... then two smacks later they are down on the floor and put on a hook. Are you doing it to be funny, or do you just really believe you are Claudette?
I'm lookin at you dweets
It's possible that since they're in 3rd person, they don't see you so they don't know they've been spotted.
Also, most survivors are absolutely terrible at the game and don't know how to be chased anyway, so they might as well pretend you're a T-Rex. It's all they have.
-
I am a survivor main and they're all the same.
Killers? I enjoy Trapper (when you don't get a four man red rank SWF against your level 17) because it's just so funny when you get them in your traps.

I think this is problematic as it sometimes makes me not wanting to play the game because of this.

Tell me what's the point of your DC penalty? Either they DC halfway through a game or they immediately die at the beggining of a game on their hook. Either way, they are going to "DC" there is no stopping this, and by having a penalty, you only make it difficult to not only keep ppl interested, but sometimes these games can be SO toxic, it's almost worth it to DC between the killer or your "fellow" survivors. If I get a DC penalty..I literally just leave DBD for a few days or what have you and play another game. And if ppl want to Dpip, they are going to die right off the bat as well. Stupid to have this penalty I think.
They seem to want less people playing their game.
I still have tons of people DC when I play killer. I had two games in a row where two survivors DCed. My random teammates will either die on first hook or DC too. Meanwhile my queue times are at best a minimum of five minutes. I didn't play for two weeks because my queue times were about 20 minutes.
But I'm sure killer mains get more BBQ stacks now, so that's great for them.

A lot of people I've seen on here talk about solo que survivors as if they are helpless at all times. But that isn't true, a good solo survivor can carry a team under the right conditions.
Plus, solo survivors will always seem weak in comparison to SWF. Who can sometimes be scary to go against, but most of the time are just two people screwin' around.
What is the issue however, is matchmaking ( who would have guessed? ) that allows everyone to be corralled into one rank with enough playtime. If BHVR improved it ( as MMR was supposed to do ) then I'm sure everyone's teammates would be the appropriate skill level. Which would hopefully keep the potatoes in the low ranks.
But, as we have experienced, BHVR is not the best at implementing changes like this. So enjoy your boosted teammates everyone.
"Under the right circumstances" is a big ask. I ran a really bad Myers for FIVE GENS, no joke, and not a single teammate even tried to save me. I died on my first and his only hook after the 5th gen popped. So I carried but got screwed by bad, unskilled teammates. Happens all the time and it sucks.
It's often painful playing this game as a solo survivor. The worst and most selfish teammates I have by far are the red and purple ranks.

Has this ever happened to you? I hear it fairly commonly and it has happened to me, so I wonder if it's as common an occurrence as it seems.
Have you ever been accused of hacking because someone didn't know/understand how perks like Small Game or Bitter Murmur work, or how some addons can increase movement speed, etc?
I've been accused of cheating for finding hatch with a pink map that I looted. I'm on console though so I'm not sure how he thought I cheated.

Autohaven RIP. Cant believe what they have done with this layout. They hired a butcher to design this map 😪
Yeah I really like the Ormond rework. I still do not like Yamaoka. Even with time I never got used to it. It's too dark. I played on Autohaven as killer and I didn't like it on that side either.
RIP to my favorite Realm.

Yes I know it's possible to adjust brightness on my tv, but depending on what tv you have, it's probably a lot more complicated and slower than it would be on PC.

They didn't decrease the costs of syringes or styptics or toolboxes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Anyone else remember when killers didnt really complain. Dont get me wrong. Survivors were super toxic back then and deserved nerfs but for what it's worth I respect the og killer players. They barely complain despite the ######### they went through.
This is off topic but legacy killers are generally better than legacy survivors. They just went through more. But I digress.
New age dbd is pretty bad in all honesty. You get nerfed for 4 years and still get complaints. "Game is survivor sided" or whatever. It makes me laugh to be honest. Ive been maining killer and havent seen the survivor sided stuff yall been trying to say.
Anyways this probably sounds entitled or whatever but it's just my thoughts. The new killer players are some of the biggest complainers I see. But I can say the newer survivor players have to stop claiming killers like bubba are op lol.
I don't ever remember a time when killers didn't complain. And the forum used to have two categories for killer and survivor topics. 75% of the comments were in the killer section. Ironic.

This or they didn't want to tunnel the other person.
Or 'hey! I haven't seen you this whole match!"
To ensure that survivors isn't doing anything.
Or STBFL and they were getting stacks.
No one is being tunneled in any of these cases. It's been before anyone is even hooked. I'm minding my own business and they decide to leave the injured person to chase me. Must be Jane. I just switched to Nea and it hasn't happened to her yet.

I can’t speak for why you’re being targeted specifically, but I and many other killers like to take an “injure as many as possible” approach.
Perhaps this is what you’re coming across?
Could be that. But like I said, they stick with me once I've been injured. Maybe it's because I've been playing Jane tonight and they just like to chase her for whatever reason.

Dark isnt a problem to me. But as someone said, they cant recognize the title, they dont know where they're running.
As for me, grass is too weak for my main Trapper (Otz said the same in 50 wins Trapper vid). Clau become even more blendable in the map, she can just sit in the shadow and completely disaappear.
So everyone hates it now, is what you're saying, for various reasons? I agree that the tiles being unrecognizable is a problem now, but those I would eventually learn. If I could see them in the first place. But yeah it's just as dark as the reworked Yamaoka's, which I still hate even after all this time.
-
One side effect is that Dead Hard fails so often it's almost a joke. I don't think killers have any idea how often that perk just flat out does not work.
But sure, I get three free bonus health states mid chase when I'm exhausted on the ground three times a game.

No, you shouldn't be fast vaulting things outside of chase or trying to distract the killer. You already gave the example as to why.
You're funny. Thanks for the laugh. Do you have any other rules I should follow?

I just made my way to green ranks as killer and now 80% of my lobbies are either full red rank survivors or full red rank swfs. I even had this problem probably 50% of my grey rank lobbies. Idk why this is happening to me. I’m a red rank survivor and almost never get a green rank killer let alone a grey one.
I get red and purple swfs with my level 18 killer. I'm in the same boat, I never get baby killers. And when I swf'ed before all my friends quit this game, we'd have the opposite. One red purple killer to match me, and then my three teammates who were yellow ranks. It was miserable and literally all seven of my friends who tried this game quit over it.

Like I went up against a PH who was hard core tunneling at 5 gens despite having ruin+undying (still love his free tunneling and zoning btw) and then a bubba who camped despite having stuff like BBQ and TT to locate survivors, and others playing really scummy, weirdly.
Like i'm just wondering why play like this? I don't play scummy as all and do fine but then I go up against stuff like this, hear killers say "survivor sided game" and "so many bt, ds, ub etc" then play like this when none of that is in play and even when running strong builds like ruin+undying
Are killers okay or?
I've been getting face camped a lot lately. On one hand, it makes me laugh. The killer is too stubborn to admit I'm better than they are, so they throw the game and chase me for 3+ gens, then face camp me. Like, my dude, go find someone else to chase. It's also kinda funny to see my red rank teammates too scared to make a save and let me die on my first hook when I just let them get the easy win, but it is what it is.

@TheClownIsKing said:
You can all complain about slugging all you want, but the truth of the matter is the way this game is designed means at red ranks (even purple ranks) a killer has 3 choices when it comes to approaching load out and match strategy.
1) Slow repairs down as much as possible in a literal, direct way.
2) Find as many ways as possible to keep survivors that are out of a chase either indisposed or as preoccupied as possible with other tasks.
3) Find ways to save as much time as possible. Usually shortened chase times, and shortened times between ending one chase and finding a new survivor.
None of the above are exclusive of each other. A killer can be doing a combination of any of the above, or specialise in one approach only. Slugging falls in the middle of 1 & 2. It’s a pretty much mandatory approach when a killer has too few tools to do the direct gen slow down/direct gen pressure strategy, or simply chooses not to do an obnoxious “forever repair” approach.
You can complain how “boring” or “toxic” slugging is all you like. You know what’s “boring” for killers? 4 gens popping in the space of only 2 short chases and 2 hooks. I’m not blaming the survivors directly. The game allows you to do this. It allows you to do obnoxious, infuriating stuff like tap a regressing gen mid chase. It takes 15ish seconds to carry someone to a hook, and an unhook is done in an instant. 15 seconds is actually a lot of time in DBD to NOT be looking for another survivor to chase.
So sorry, but with the way the game allows survivors to play this game, Killers have to either slow down gens, waste your time, or slug a lot.
Pick your poison.
It's not necessary.
You can play how you want. It just sucks for survivors who wait minimum five minutes to get a game on a good day and then they're slugged at five gens. I personally like playing the game. But for some people the other thing that matters is getting a 4k, even if that means it's boring for everyone else. Don't blame the devs or the game for the choice you make.

I have played with a lot of survivors who did really horrible and come to find out they are red ranks in the end - I just dont understand whats the point of ranks in the game. What does it mean to you? (really need opinions)
The worst teammates I ever have are red and purple. They're the most selfish and unwilling to play the game by far. It's kinda sad.

You standing on the hatch, teabagging or pointing, is toxic.
You can't expect players to not play the game the way it is intended. That is not toxic to attack you as pig.
Every other game i play has a guy in the game who
- Has as script to spam flashlights
- Teabags constantly, bonus points if they have OOO
- Calls me the "N word" after the game is over
- Harasses me in chat for being a camper/tunnel/insert other thing.
As a survivor, i often get killers who offer me the hatch at the end, or do other nice things. Rarely are they toxic to me.
Survivors are more toxic IMO. Especially SWF.
Killers are more toxic IMO. Especially Ghostface. I don't know what it is about them, they're usually the least skilled and downright embarrassing, but man, the teabagging and face camping and hitting me on the hook? I guess I should have not run from them. I guess I should not find them before they find me because they're so bad. It's my fault for not playing how they want though.

@HeckaYeah said:
Ok, Devs, it's time to do something about slugging. Why do you let killers down ALL of the survivors, and then LET the last one get lost?! Seriously! It happens every time! You could stay in the EXACT same spot and the killer A) either ignores you in lue of closing the hatch or B) forgets when they downed you and can't find you! It's time for a failsafe so you're not stuck in a game for two minutes where all you can do is crawl around or get slammed with a dc penalty because you've lost anyways. Maybe give the last survivor an aura ( if they're not within x amount of meters away from the hatch) or put some sort of environmental aid in to help ( maybe the campfires or already completed gens?). I'm looking to make it reasonable for both sides and I know this will get back lash, but game after game of this happening is right annoying.
You're saying killers who slug should get help from the game? Please for the love of god, no. As a survivor, my issue with slugging is that it's boring. I almost always wait a MINIMUM of at least five minutes to get a game and then the killer slugs at five gens? I can understand late game, it's still boring but I'm not mad that someone is trying to win. But for the love of god, no, killers don't need help or anything to encourage more slugging.

You did sandbag them, you called the killer directly to them for no apparent reason which directly caused them to go down. There's no escaping that, no matter your intentions.
So I need to run Bond and not ever fast vault anything, ever, if anyone is near me? Should I slow vault on my way to make hook saves if that means the person will go into struggle? Should I bring green keys with add ons for greater range? What are the rules that I must follow so that other people are happy with how I play this game?
-

Remember when instaheals were nerfed and survivors got like a week or more, before they were actually nerfed, to capitalize on using all their un-nerfed instaheals? I sure do. You couldn't find a match without 1-3 instaheals.
But guess what happened when moris got nerfed? No heads up, just insta-nerfed. So game breaking survivor sided things get to stay in the game until the devs "get around to it", but the killer sided ones are top priority and must be removed without delay!
I can understand why they did this. Perhaps they learned their lesson with the instaheal nerf, not wanting everyone to unload their mori war chests all at once. That still doesn't make up for the double standard, but it is practical.
And of course, we all know that the key nerf is coming in the near future. It's a shame that keys couldn't have been nerfed at the same time as moris, but whatever because they'll get nerfed eventually. What I want is for keys to be insta-nerfed as well, with no heads up. If that doesn't happen like it did with the mori nerf, it will be proof in the minds of many including myself, that the devs are survivor sided. So don't let it happen.
Keys and moris have never been equal. Not in usage or the way they changed games. Period. I don't care how much some killer mains scream and moan and what about on the forums.
You're wrong though. There was indeed a heads up that moris were being changed, and I saw way more than usual in my games. It sucked, especially they already were way more common than keys.

TWO DEATH THREATS? Good lord.
Yeah I get a lot of nasty messages from fellow survivors. Some straight up have told me they messaged the killer to let them know where I was. I know I can turn my messages off but it's kinda annoying to constantly have to turn things on and off because DBD is such a toxic community.

If you made noise that drew the killer directly to your teammate and then abandoned them, that's pretty easy to see why they called you out for working with the killer. Doesn't matter how you intended it, only how it looks from the video evidence in the report, should a report with video evidence get submitted.
You're allowed to fast vault. The killer came over, we both ran. How is that abandoning him? Should I have stayed at the loop and perhaps unintentionally sandbagged him? I left the loop so he had the pallet. I was 100% going down if the Bubba came after me. He chose to chase the other guy.
You're actually trying to tell me that fast vaulting out of a locker could be considered trolling? Come on.

Just wondering, cause playing handicapped with one gen less in not even a minute of match is not my cup of tea.
(and corrupt intervention doesn't get rid of the problem, just delays it).
I just had my level 18 Billy go against four green ranks (not the worst match making I've had) but they certainly seemed SWF-y with Prove Thyself and BT. They flew by. If they're SWF or have Prove Thyself and bring an offering to spawn with someone else, a gen can get done very quickly. I don't play killer a lot but Discordance always helps me.
-
Buying them before the game breaking tome was added and ruined this game completely for me as a solo survivor. I would have loved a shop with faster rotating items instead of having three teammates who don't play the game so they can get a single challenge done. But you know. Whatever.

I'm sure they'll fix killer as soon as they fix Dead Hard.

I always had the opposite happen when I tried to play SWF, which is why all of my friends quit playing. Red or purple killer against the three yellow rank teammates and just me in red or purple. Most games we couldn't even get two gens done. And when I try to play killer just to get these horrible challenges done, I get red and purple SWFs against my yellow rank killer. It's match making. No one side is more toxic than the other. Survivors teabag because they want you to be mad and chase them. Don't do it.

Because if so, I'm happy to tunnel and bring franklins lol
There's a challenge to escape via hatch. And just like I saw an increase in ebony moris before the change, it would make sense that survivors want to put them to use since they spent the bp on them already before they're gone. The challenge needs to go. It makes the game worse for both sides, but I'm sure they'll keep putting those in.

Hopefully it doesn't take them 6 months to rework keys considering all the bugs that still need fixing. Guess we'll have to see...
Just remember that survivors lose add ons now for no apparent reason other than killers do, so that should make everyone who is salty about this mori change a little happier.

Yeah as a solo survivor, I'm always amused by the killer mains screaming about how broken and unfair the game is for them. It's honestly pretty miserable as a solo survivor. I'm trying to get some last challenges done and see how far I can go with this Tome before I'm done with the game for good.
