Ditto. I see a lot more Pop in combination with other oppressive Perks. The new one that forces Great Skill Checks is particularly good.

Exactly. I am starting to even see Opression get more popularity. I am even using it more in my own builds. Honestly. I find it is the balanced version of Hex: Ruin that was suggested back when they first were looking at changing Hex: Ruin.

Opression + Pop = Gen gression. Gen Damage. Global pressure. Information.

It opens the doors to dropping your information perk for another synergy perk. Seeing that more than a Hex combo that rarely works in high ranks, and takes up 2 perk slots just for some regression.

  • Cleanse 20 totems?

Alright running Detective, and Small Game. Taking a pink map with slow burn. Hope you guys enjoy doing everything else alone I have totems to cleanse, and then a hook to suicide on.

  • Honestly it's true though. If a survivor chooses to loop around a generator and keeps tapping it letting the killer keep kicking it - it should be rewarding the Killer, it's really dumb that it rewards the Survivor.

Buff the immediate regression on gens from a single kick.

  • I nearly never see them, and I am consistently in red ranks.

  • Survivor; I am literally everywhere. Every hook save. Every gen completed. The only survivor you are going to chase, and then never catch. I am not going to teabag you. I am not going to click the flashlight I found in a chest at you. I am just going to be impossible to kill. I know every loop. I know every tile. I know exact numbers to your powers. I have already found out your whole build before the end of the second gen. You lost this round before it even started, because I know I am entirely immune so long as I don't make a single mistake - and my role is easy and stress free in comparison to yours.

Killer; I don't care if you just got off hook. I don't care if you have Decisive Strike. I am going to do every single thing that kills you and all the other survivors in the fastest way possible optimizing on every one of your mistakes and singling out the weakest of you first. Plain and simple. The game's already broken in the Survivors favor to the point that you can't even meme as Killer anymore - might as well make the game as painful for you as it is for me.

Some people don't draw logic into what they say, don't stoop to his level

It's just annoying seeing this amount of bad players. Like if you can't counter Freddy - then how do you honestly expect to counter any good Killer with a power that doesn't just make them a m1 killer with simple counters. Freddy has 2 counters, and that's too much for these people, and these are the people BHVR is listening to. Ayeaaa this game is seirously going to just be a repeated version of Deathgarden, because of these idiots.

  • Iron Maiden works well on Killers; Huntress, Doctor, and Twins.

Simply not because it's a ######### perk, it's actually a really good perk, but specifically stands out for these 3 characters because it synergizes well with them. Huntress can get hatchets faster. Survivors can't avoid Doctor's shock. Survivors can't hide in lockers to deny Victor (Seriously need to make Victor's block stronger).

I like not having to hear my teammates. Yes, solo queue is painful, but me telling them that I ran the killer for five gens and I'd appreciate it if you guys unhooked me from this face camping WRAITH won't make people be suddenly good at the game.

If you ran the Killer for 5 gens, then your job is done. The dev's already said that dying so that everyone else can get away is a win for that survivor.

Survivors made their own rules, now follow them.

The people who think it’s a bad judgement are the boosted forever Freddy mains who can’t end a chase quick enough and need to make the game go for more than 30 minutes.

Try getting good at a killer that requires actual mechanical skill to play.

You Freddy mains are the equivalent of Moira in ovetwatch.

Just get out of here with your toxic bs, you broken record.

  • Probably best to start by saying this game is based around that the first 2 gens don't matter. They are expected to be lost in EVERY game. Why should the survivors get a free win mechanic at the actual start of the game?

How? Survivors only do 2 gens, and then the last 2 escape.

Explain to me how that is fair?

Survivors screw themself in a terrible 3 gen. 3 Escape.

    Explain how that is fair?

and don't give me that "So what the survivors are just supposed to lose without a chance" - yes. Yes they are. They made their mistakes. They lost the game. Why take the EFFORT and SUCCESS from the KILLER simply because the Survivors were bad.

Immersion. It would be a chaotic mess listening to four randoms. If everyone is muting then it serves no purpose.

It's the fact the option is there. Then the dev's can balance around SWF and everyone is happy.

  • How much time a person plays in a month

  • The only way they are going to close the gap between solo and swf is if they add voice chat. We know that. They know that.

The only reason they havn't is because there is this dumb stigma that "language barrier's will be a problem" or "people won't use it". Which is stupid.

  • @Shirokinukatsukami said:

Strong disagree with the OP. Freddy is not a balanced killer, he is overtuned. He is good at all the important points for a killer: chase, mobility, map presence and gen disruption. He has a bloated kit. That's why is doing so well.

That's not bloated, all Killers should have that so you know, they can actually be killers.

Agreed. I have been playing since the games release. Get lost noob.

  • I don't even know how people can say yes to this. There is absolutely 0 reason why a player who couldn't even do 1-2 gens should be allowed a free win mechanic. Especially with how broken the 2 door 1 hatch trick is.

  • Dev's don't care about the Killer base. It's gonna suck when I stop streaming their game, or answering their promotions if it keeps up any longer.

  • @Rizzo said:

The mori change was easier to make, since it's basically just a change of a condition. I believe nerfing the keys requires animation changes and/or addon changes, that require much more time.

Nah that's BS. This is just the Dev's continuing to baby their survivors, while sticking Killers faces in the Mud. The least they could of done was remove Key's from chests - Like literally everyone suggested to them.

There's literally no excuse for this BS.

A mod literally replied telling them it's bannable and how to report them but sure KEKW

Ohya, and it's just so funny how hypocrtical that is. When I have the proof. Nothing gets done.

It's easy for @MandyTalk to say for it to be reported. So that we report these people. Then when the support team gets it. Nothing is going to get done, but you know what. In a Dev stream @Peanits said "I assure you something get's done", and we should be content with that. Even though nothing gets done, and players have proof nothing gets done.

@GoodBoyKaru Next you're going to tell me that players finding bugs in the PTB is actually considered before releasing a chapter, because the community team, and dev's told you it is. Just like how so much was fixed for this chapter /s

But yeah you're right. I'm so wrong, simply because they TOLD you so - instead of actually showing real proof they are banning anyone at all. (inb4 they ban me for speaking up about it)

So how do you explain all the people who've been banned from the game and continue to be banned, if reports don't do anything?

I don't see them. They are probably people that just so happened to play against a dev, or streamer. They get banned just so people think that people are actually getting banned. Also gotta keep the streamers happy, and keep the streamers believing that something is actually being done. I literally have a guy I've reported a disgusting amount of times. Still being match against me. Still isn't banned. Every time I report him through the Additional Information ticket. The support will delibertately come back and even ask me to provide video evidence, when the original ticket I've created has an attached video, and youtube link.

And it's not just this one guy. All of my tickets have been like this. They don't watch the video evidence you give. They sometimes ask for evidence you have already given. Then when you give it to them again, they just don't respond. I have a ticket i've responded to 26 times now, with no response other than them asking me for a video I already provided - and then provided again with each response. They just don't care.

The team literally goes through tickets, clicking an automated response, not doing anything, and then moving on to the next ticket. I doubt they even read the original ticket past what the ticket might be about. Abuse/Harrassment "Sorry this happened to you, we are looking into it". Hacking "Sorry this happened to you, can you provide x evidence?" (even though it's already provided). Players taking the game hostage "Sorry this happened to you, can you provide x evidence?" (even though it's already provided). From that one response on, you'll never hear from them again, and you will just keep facing those same players because nothing is done to them.

I even went out of my way to contact someone from BHVR, and when they asked me for the ticket number. Gave it to them. That person never responded to me again. Nothing was done.

(I am being really careful not to reveal names, because that would just get me banned from the forums. If calling out how terrible the support system is in the first place isn't going to get me banned already).

Exactly. I figured this when I first played her, learned of the stun when I accidently stood too close to the pallet (because you know the pallet hit box doesn't even have to reach the Killer to stun them 🙄.

The real trick to playing Charlotte is using Charlotte to block off a doorway, window/ledge, or generator.

Balanced, huh? Yeah, no. As much as the old Freddy was there just because they liked the license, this one can do far too much. Teleporting is ok to me, but the rest needs some work. Freddy players can just mindlessly spam their skill without even worrying about it being strategical. 10 fake pallets mean you can cover the whole map, for instance. Snares require A BIT of thinking, but, 10 are still too spam friendly. And it's not even like you can remove them without activating them, so. Not to mention Freddy's hitbox has been broken since release. Can't remember how many times I was hit by a Freddy who lunged in front of him, while I was behind him. Have you ever played R6S? If so, you must know about Maverick, an operator who still doesn't have a true and proper counter a couple years after his release4. Freddy is like that, as there is no counter for a Freddy who tunnels you (and let's be honest, every single killer player will tunnel the s**t out of you when he spots you).

A Killer should have a kit that allows them to use all the skills that comes with Killer, just like how Survivors are built to be able to perform with all skills that comes with Survivor. The Killers that don't have map pressure, chase/anit-loop abilities, and the ability to distract Survivors from their main objective are far too weak, and need to be buffed to this standard.

So people who don't have thousands of hours should not have an access to killers who can compete with genrush, organized swf and bad map design? Everyone should go through the same process as with the nurse now? How does it make it balanced? There are casuals in the game who don't have that kind of time to invest in the game.

Exactly No Killer should even take this much, not even as much work as Freddy to get good at the game. Especially when Survivor is learning how to hold m1 on gens, and run at pallets - then equip an ontorage of second chance perks, and you are considered "the best". The imbalance is disgusting, and the entire reason why this game has such terrible balance choices.

If the majority of Survivors knew how to play the game right, Freddy wouldn't be even doing half as good as he is.

So just to repeat your own words and how i interpretate them: Survivors on red ranks causes this extrem statistics because they are bad? Therefore in your opinion, the people who player killer are better? Do it get this right?

But you also say that at your level survivors dont do mistakes at all? Which level is this? I hope we are not speaking about rank 1. If we do... well... i thought survivors are so bad? You contradict yourself unless you talk about tournament level / 0,01%. If thats the case, the obvious answer is obviously that this game should and can not be ballanced around the top 0,01% by any means.

Correct me if i am wrong tho, but it looks a lot like you contradict yourself quite a bit here.

Yawn you're petty attempt to change what I've said to fit your narritive falls on deaf ears. The matchmaker takes more than just rank into consideration when matching. Rank is used first to decide which groups you should face which is 3-4 above/below. In those players it matches you under a number of other conditions.

Also how mentality toxic is that line; "To just to repeat your own words and how i interpretate them" . Have you considered running for office with that kind of gaslighting, and manipulation? Just to make up the idea I contradicted myself, when I never have. Survivors don't know how to play the game, and it shows.

    This.

    I’m pretty anti meta.

My current build at red ranks is Bond, Technician, Visionary, Windows of Opportunity. Most would say that this is a bad build.

But guess what, I almost always outlast all other survivors in my matches, managing to be stealthy YET useful by doing saves, heals, repairs, and totem hunting. In most cases even if I still die, it’s when I’m the last one left and it was my very first hook.

I’ll check my team mates load out, and it’s almost always the same thing: any combination of DS, BT, Unbreakable, Iron Will, Exhaustion Perk. Something about these perks just seems to cloud many survivors judgement by playing far too recklessly.

Same. As a rank 1 Survivor I mostly run Diversion as my favorite perk. Head On, and Dilverance. The 4th I seriously just take any other perk that is hardly used. I was using Wake Up! like all last week. I beat Fungoose that week too. It's disgusting how broken Survivor is.

Good killers have no issue against survivors. Feel free to check out good killers win streaks on twitch who goes into the hundreds of 4Ks without loosing a single match.

The truth is: You are most likely not good enough. Maybe, just maybe its not the games fault that you can not do it, when others can.

Or it's more likely that the majority of the Survivor playerbase is not good enough. Until I reached the point I am at. I was always really confused why Survivors did more than half the things they did. Then when you get to my level with Killer it's rarely a game Survivors are making mistakes at all. That and the 8 minute que time for Killer isn't fun, because the matchmaker can only really put me against SWF now.

Which if you knew more about the game you would know that SWF is considered in matchmaking.

Nearly 3k per game isn't balanced. He has a significantly higher kill rate than any other killer in the game. And no, his kit isn't balanced. He is the most braindead killer in the game. You can't create a character that's super easy to use AND has very strong powers. That's just not working in the long run, balance-wise. There are multiple examples for this in other games. Does a godlike Nurse with 3000h playtime feel balanced, if you verse her? No, she will probably 4k most matches, but she had to do something for it. If you are mediocre killer and know a little bit about how the game works, you can pick up Freddy and easily get to red ranks very soon. I currently play in a swf were everyone has ~2000h and everyone there also shares my opinion about freddy giving too much reward for almost nothing. That doesn't mean that very good Nurse or Spirit players can't make better results. Or that it's impossible to win against any Freddy. But a lot of Freddy players aren't really that good. They are just boosted by his passive and super easy to use Powers, and that just doesn't feel right. It's like loosing as killer against a full 2nd chance perk squad

Killer isn't supposed to be easy. A lot of killers have this mindset and get very upset if they don't get a 4k for 3 matches in a row. Killer will always be harder and more stressful. It's in the nature of the game design and i don't see how this could change without breaking the game. I can tell you that in the current game state, for the first time, i'd rather play killer than solo survivor. Half a year ago, i only could play killer sometimes when i felt really good because it was just too stressful for me. Yes, solo survivor is more chill because you have some breaks in between and don't have to constantly be super sharp and sweaty to win. But at least as Killer i get to play the game in full, i don't get tunneled or face camped or have to rely on stupid teammates.

Btw on the one hand you say that you lose a lot with Freddy, on the other that he is very easy to beat but all the boosted survivors can't?! I play a lot of mediocre killers like Wraith, Ghostface besides Spirit and i do just fine in red ranks. Lose some, win some.

I personally can't wait for the nerf. A lot of Freddy players will finally realize how boosted they really are. It always feels like they got carried by his powers and their synergy with some perks.

Go back and read other responses. I am not repeating myself for a player that simply refuses to learn the game.

The point of Tinkerer is barely ever the Undetectable status is grants, it's to see which Generator is nearly complete. The survivor is then forced to get off the Generator, or get hit. Combine it with perks like Ruin or Pop, and you get tons of regression. Nobody uses Tinkerer for the stealth, that's just a bonus.

If you can't see the obvious synergy between Freddy's ability to teleport to any gen he wants and a perk that warns him when a generator is about to be done, maybe you aren't the God tier killer you think you are.

    @Withered8 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1796546#Comment_1796546

I don't run tinkerer on freddy, let alone play freddy mr. If it's so bad then tell me why every second freddy runs it?

If you honestly think "just do bones" works agaisnt ruin undying, then come vs my ruin undying blight and lets see how much fun you have then.

For the sake of it, I ran ruin undying tinkerer corrupt blight to see if a team could actually beat me. So far? Not one team has gotten all the gens done. Not One. And if you try and pull that you're vsing bad survivors card, then how about you hear that i've been against the fungoose swf?

Because it looks good on Paper? At my level if a gen reaches 75% you can assume it's completed and focus to maximizing on something else, like finishing and hooking your current chase. Tinkerer doesn't really help with that. You sneak up on the survivor you are already in chase with? You go up to a gen that they are watching your direction anyways (because stealth is useless against good survivors).

  • @Withered8 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1796483#Comment_1796483

It's not just that, you can hold a nurse and help your team out, where as holding a freddy will do far less because he'll just teleport away or rotate the instant he gets a tinkerer and wont be punished because of his insane slowdown.

The whole "killers are power argument" is just silly. You don't just deserve the rights to be the power role and dominate in games. Balancing a game is not about having a power role. If one role was a power role then the game would be immensly inbalanced. You shoudl have to earn wins and not automaticalyl get them because you're a power role. This goes for BOTH sides.

If you don't throw pallets against a freddy who knows how to play the game then they'll just chuck down a snare and your screwed.

And no if you looked around the killer base instead of killer main cities like the forums then you'll see that a majority of players want a chagne to freddy and believe he is too strong.

... Why would you run Tinkerer on Freddy. Tinkerer doesn't hide dream world lullaby, and doesn't stop blood from spewing from Gens.

Quite literally that's all you had to say to confirm to me that you don't know enough about what you are talking about to actually have a strong argument. Tinkerer on Freddy is so incredibly weak, against good survivors he's completely stomped. Waste of a perk slot, when you need 4 consistent perks on any Killer to even have barely a chance against a strong team of Survivors. Next you're going to tell me that you have trouble against Ruin/Undying, and make yourself look like a complete fool.

  • @NurseYourWounds said:

    Hi guys!

New to the forums, not the game. Old school Nurse player that's returned to the game not too long ago.

Now, this is probably something that has been discussed before, especially as it was something I noticed a very long time ago back when huntress was a new DLC. But what is it with survivors literally running straight for saves when I'm two meters away they crying tunnel/camp when they get rolled over?

As a Nurse main... There is absolutely no reason for me to camp. I can travel the map in seconds. But what I'm finding is I'll hook a survivor, blink, before my window is even closed I'll get that unhook notification, use my second blink to go back and boom... Unless the unhookers running borrowed time, it's an easy second hook. Even with borrowed time, wait out your fatigue and blink again. Oops lost him... Oh look, he's healing right near me.

Either that, or you hook somebody, and you turn around, megs teabagging clicking a light, David's sitting waiting for you to follow the Meg, Claudettes trying to camouflage close by too. Nobody's repairing gens, no game progression... Why the hell would I leave my post or at least leave my blink range?

This doesn't just apply to the nurse, any killer. I see this even at high level plays, survs getting far too cocky with their meta perks then absolutely screaming tunnel or camp when it doesn't go their way.

My point is, can these actions REALLY be classified as what they're claimed to be? Same with tunneling. While I do try to avoid it, let's say you've got 2 gens left as a few popped really quick, full team of survivors, ones been hooked twice and is running injured. Megs still teabagging clicking her light obviously trying to coax me into chasing her, but I have a chance to take a man out the game and level the playing field...

Yet, if I kill that one player and the remaining 3 get out and escape, you still get bombarded with 'Omg trash tunnel killer, learn to play'.

I know toxic behaviour has always been a thing, but I'm sure it wasn't this bad?

The Megs sitting there like, "I was standing right there and you just went past me" . Yes, because I didn't feel like chasing the cocky one literally trying to coax me into a chase, who's probably got the map down to a T and will just make me waste precious time. If you're one of these, it literally makes me ignore you.

The point of this, is survivors need to identify the obvious differences in a 'Noob Tunneler/Camper' and a killer using circumstances or stupid plays from survivors to their advantage. I feel if you're playing like this, you have absolutely no right to call any killer out on a tunnel or camp.

Just my two cents on it. It doesn't bother me and sometimes it can be funny to see. But what I used to love about this game is the friends I used to make. That seems so much harder to do nowerdays...

Yeah it's disgusting the amount of entitlement survivors have in the game now. They have no reason to actually learn how to play the game, so they got the entitlement to the point where they just accuse the Killer of camping/tunneling anytime they lose instead of just learning how to play the game better.

  • All of them? Just don't get hooked?

That don’t deserve to win? Lol. Just be a better survivor against him.

Thank-you for pointing that out. Yes that's the easiest way of putting it. Just be a better Survivor. When the Survivor is awake. Freddy is nothing more than a m1 Killer with a base movement, if they are getting hit at all - I'm sorry, but they need to learn how to play survivor better.

  • Stop babying the Survivor playerbase. They don't know how to play, and they are too entitled to learn how to play. It's skewing statistics, and making for terrible balancing changes.

Thanks for the suggestion, i simply don't like using a Perk that's gone after 2 minutes.

And if the argument is: "It's such a good Perk because of A & B.", then mine is: "I'm not looking for the best of the best."

I'm with Boss on this one. My Killers only run perks that I find can be strong and consistent throughout the entirety of the match.

This clip here proves that DS lasts way too long. Within 48 seconds of the Nea being unhooked, I:

    • Hooked the Ash
    • Downed Nea
    • Downed Zarina
    • Re-downed Ash
    • Downed the Meg

And after all this, the pink hair nea who you see get unhooked at the start of the clip STILL had Decisive. I picked her up incase she used Unbreakable at the last second but I still got punished by Decisive anyways.

If the Zarina had saved with BT, I most likely would've just hooked her, hit the Ash and let him run off to mend then gone back to pick up the Nea. The reason I slugged was because the Nea had already made it difficult for me to hook before having taken a hit then saboing the hook like twice.

Devs; Pop Goes The Weseal is too strong, because it lasts 60 seconds. You can do too much before having to use it.

Also Devs; Decisive Strike (60 Seconds).

  • Get really good at Nurse and Spirit. It's going to take an incredibly long time, but worth it in the end.

(Though you will reach a point of knowing more about the game than the majority of players, and then on the Forums everyone will gut you because you see the truth and they all still have yet to even learn the basics of the game)

I'm sure you will be fine.

Look I agree freddy does have counters, and is balanced when your in a good swf. The problem is as soon as you have one weaker player freddy is just able to absolutely snowball off of that and gen wins he doesn't deserve.

As for your point about how his kit doesn't limit the killer player, there's the problem. Killer powers should be about providing benefits at the cost of a mild-mediocre expense. If killers didn't have weaknesses and downsides then there would be very little dynamic gameplay, and countering him would be far far more limited preventing skillful plays on the survivor side, which is what happens with freddy. Hold m1 on gens, throw pallets instantly, hell looping him is boring as hell. I would rather loop a nurse or huntress ANYday.

"Look I agree freddy does have counters, and is balanced when your in a good swf. The problem is as soon as you have one weaker player freddy is just able to absolutely snowball off of that and gen wins he doesn't deserve."

So the Killer doesn't deserve the win, for playing literally the first thing the in game tutorial tells you to do? The Killer doesn't deserve the win for doing exactly what ever "educational DBD streamer" tells you to do? The Killer doesn't deserve the win for playing exactly how the dev's said they intend for you to do.

What's the point of playing Killer if you're not meant to exploit the Survivors weaknesses, and maximize on their mistakes?

That's not what Killers powers should be about at all. THEY ARE THE POWER ROLE. They should have THE POWER. That's the most confusing part of this game. Survivors literally have so many things that gives them more power, with 0 fall back. Without perks, you have Windows, Lockers, and Pallets. With Perks, you have things like Decisive Strike, Borrowed Time, Dead Hard, Iron Will, etc. All these things that make you incredibly stronger, and gives free seconds chances - but supposed to be the weaker role?

Because of this there already is very little dynamic gameplay.

    I like this little timbit;

"PREVENTING SKILLFUL PLAYS on the survivor side, which is what happens with freddy. Hold m1 on gens, throw pallets instantly, hell looping him is boring as hell. I would rather loop a nurse or huntress ANYday."

Here's a suggestion, don't throw pallets instantly against Freddy, and yes it's faster to do gens when you are holding m1. You're welcome for the two facts that literally applys for all Killers, and the only people that don't have problems agastin Freddy are the Survivors THAT KNOW HOW TO PLAY THE GAME.

  • Writers, artwork team, and visual designers = Omg these people are amazing.

Dev team, and balancing/testing = Omg why are you still employed.

Managing Staff = Are still playing Civ5

Marketing = Scrooge Mcduck. Literally the only person they hired.

Pretty much sums up BHVR, from what we've been seeing.

  • So far I think this thread has done more than just proven that Freddy is the most balanced Killer in the game. It has also proven that the game is too easy for Survivors that they are barely learning the game at all, and it's so bad to the point that it's grown a disgusting amount of entitlement and misunderstanding.

So, you say Freddy is good Killer design, but is ez to beat? Which is it?

Basekit Freddy at the very least has map mobility as well as a soft-counter to BT (especially if you camp given basic attacks put Survivors into the Dream World in which BT becomes useless). And worst case he is only an M1 Killer in chases until the first hit, after which the Survivor you hit is immediately put into the Dream World if they were not downed. He can then start to place his snares (or funnel the Survivor into his fake pallets). And this scenario requires Survivors to be wasting time with Alarm clocks, or giving you map info by failing skillchecks. (I'm not counting hooks since that's only two Survivors, if there are more at hook, they're wasting time).

My largest issue with Freddy is that his Dream Snares are able to be placed while moving in a chase without penalty.

Edit: Also, didn't know that his Dream Projection ability had a longer cooldown the more Survivors are awake. There is literally no tell for that in-game unlike every other aspect of his kit. IMO that should be removed and the duration made static.

Your response is a perfect example of Survivor entitlement; If you knew how to play Survivor well, you would know map layout, how to loop, and to always be on gens. You would know how to perform safe saves (which Borrowed Time is a crutch perk when Survivors don't know how to perform safe saves).

A good survivor wouldn't get hit once. Especially against a Killer that doesn't have a power. A survivor doesn't fall asleep on their own for 60 seconds. A generator only takes 44 Seconds to be completed. That's an extra 16 seconds. You're telling me you can't wake up in 16 seconds and then run the Killer for a full Generator. A Killer needs 12 hooks to kill everyone. You have 5 generators to get everyone to escape (Mathmatically that's 1 hook per gen, equals 5 hooks). You're telling me you can't do that against a Killer with no power, and base movement speed? Why are you getting hit by a Killer with no power and base movement speed in the first place? Do you not know your map layouts? Do you not know how to loop properly? OR IS THE GAME TOO EASY FOR YOU TO LEARN. (Fake Pallets are literally useless, even against average survivors. The fact you mentioned them just tells me you don't know enough of the game to even be commenting. Have you never learned Pallet spawns? Do you not track pallets? You realize there is only 8-12 on any given map right? You know that they are distanced at least 3 chunks apart. Wait are you saying you don't even know what a chunk is in Dead by Daylight? God damnit, do Survivors learn nothing now adays?)

Dream Snares take 3 seconds to place, and comes with sound, and visual notification. You're telling me you can't move to another loop, or create distance in 3 seconds? Are you also telling me you can't loop towards your clock, and mindgame the extra time needed to use that clock mid chase? IS THE GAME TOO EASY FOR ?YOU TO LEARN.

    And

    image.png

It litterally says right here on his card "For each survivor in the dream world, the cooldown of Dream Projection is reduced by 15%"

On the other hand I actually enjoyed playing old freddy far more than new freddy, so I would like to see him turn back.

You see? That's just a preferential thing. The devs chagne killers according to balance and when a killer has 70%+ win rate then there's more than enough justification to make changes, especially if balance is designed around 50%. Can you imagine if a league character had a win rate at 70%?

Which in most cases makes sense, but with so many other effecting factors. Freddy's 70% winrate isn't because he is good, it's because kit doesn't limit the player. His kit gives back the power role to the Killer, and gives the player freedom to actually apply all of their skills in a single match. Meaning the survivors are actually facing a balanced Killer for once. The game is too easy for Survivors - most don't bother to learn even the basic's of the game. How easy it is to play Survivor, when you mainly play survivor also builds entitlement. With so many factors that give survivors second chances without any real skill build entitlement aswell. So then when they do face a moderately good, or expert level Killer they cry they were OP, or they mistakenly accuse the Killer of playing unfairly. I can't even count how many games I play Nurse and get accuse of Camping/Tunnel, simply because I have expert tracking skills, and am on top of all 4 survivors for the entire match. That's not camping, or tunneling. Which is why the only players that don't have an issue with Freddy are the ones who have learned how to play Survivor properly.

The problem I am seeing. I am so high in ranks with Killer I have long wait times, because I only get matched against strong 4man swf. My Freddy games I win about 45% of the time because he's easy to beat, or I am against a team that is just fooling around making it easy. I get all my wins from Spirit and Nurse. I can't play any Killer anymore because they don't have the ability to traverse the map quick, or is severly lacking in other areas.

Then we have twitch streamers creating a poor look on the game as well. Players looking up to Otz, Tofu, and Tru3 as these "godlike" killer players, when they havn't reached the top either. I completely stomped them which in turn made even themselves say on stream that "Survivors are too strong", but yet that's the only thing the viewer base doesn't listen to?

It's dissapointing to see in these forums too. Barely any of the Survivors in these forums know how to play the game right, and it shows in their responses. The lack of knowing how to counter Freddy, when to counter Freddy is as easy as playing Survivor right - that's it. Know how to loop. Know your map layouts. Always be on gens. Everything else is extra. To beat a good Freddy you gotta know how to wake up, and stay awake in a way that doesn't waste time. (I.E. Failing checks when Freddy's distracted, forcing him have to choose his chase or teleport/run to you. Waking up everyone after a hook save. Looping/Fixing Gens towards your clock).

The game is in a sorry state right now, and when they Nerf Freddy because their playerbase doesn't want to learn the game. I can only see the game getting worse from there till we have another Deathgarden (because this exact same thing happened to Deathgarden). Which if you don't know what Deathgarden is, you shouldn't be giving opinions on the forum till you educate yourself more on BHVR's company itself.
