Slug everyone and let them bleed out to send a message that doing this will cause them to have an insanely unfun match,
-
I hate all the interior maps so yes i'm glad this piece of anti fun trash is leaving, hopefully they all will one day and players can play the game without needing 20+ games on a map before even having a basic idea of it's layout,
-
Give Victor a suit so he may be the dapper death machine he was born to be you freaking cowards
-
I agree, do it for the BIs the Gay bois and the het ladies!
-
If real full bot matches are coming they should pay out BP and EXP Rift progress all of it, if PVP falls behind PVE then buff the PVP payouts and if it still can't compete, then it's clear PVP wasn't what the game should have been in the first place, besides a PVE mode will allow the game to die more gracefully since you can still play it after they stop supporting it with a simple patch to remove the need to be online and connected to their servers, it will let them move on to DBD2 without leaving the game a dead husk,
-
The only real chance to give DBD a proper rival died when the legal issues killed Friday the 13th, DBD has reigned to long to really dethrone easily,
-
I sometimes ignore the session with spirit because Rancor, but other reasons could inlcude the stupid daily rituals and challenges the devs add in forcing players into unfun gameplay to complete them in a timely manner, if i go in and i have a sacrifice x number of people with a killer i don't like then i am tunneling and camping to not have to play them any longer than necessary,

Anything to do with mental health in “Outlast” is awful, because the series is focused on a more supernatural horror than realism. Gluskin cut up men because he no longer had access to women to cut up. There are files on his history that reflect this. It also let the game put the player in the position where the character could have the threat of mutilation without them having to deal with violence against women complaints.
K-Pop boys are usually young, soft, and rather femininely pretty. The Trickster looks older to me than most of the real-life singers I’ve seen pictures of. He’s flamboyant because he wants all of the attention on him. Other than his pretty boy looks and bright colors, I don’t see any queer coding in him. He’s a vicious serial killer who only cares about himself and being famous, so he’s theatrical. That doesn’t mean he’s gay. If he was gay, fine, as long as they made it clear that his sexuality wasn’t what’s villainous about him.
I’m a queer and trans fan of the series, and I’m generally a bit touchy when fiction goes the “queer/trans = evil” route. BHVR has a lot of issues with this game, but I don’t see this as one of them.
It's more a matter of it being a fumble then me thinking it's malicious,

Jesse, what the ######### are you talking about?
I can get where you’re coming from with transphobia in Outlast 2, but the rest is pretty confusing.
Outlast 1 had the guy the outlast devs try to absolve themselves of who cuts men up to make them "women" by claiming no "no he's totally strait!" Trickster has many shades of the old trope of having a man exhibit feminine qualities to code him gay and thus scary to strait men, and a while back one of the team explained they had originally planned to not have most of the cast have any confirmed gender identity or sexual orientation leaving it up to the community, but the writers couldn't resist shoving heterosexuality into people's faces because irony is wasted on nerd culture, they then made a big point about weanting to add LGBT+ rep to even things out but have not done a damn thing and with Trickster have actually done worse than nothing by adding a character evoking an old homophobic stereotype
-
Spirit, i just cannot seem to consistently get close to people with her power, not helped by having only TV speakers and no headphones,
but i can totes feel you on Huntress as she's one of my faves and rarely land a hatchet,
-
I would say i would strongly oppose them adding a blatantly homo/transphobic franchise to the game while still fumbling over the writers messing up their whole leave everyone's orientations/gender identity vague plan because they couldn't contain their heteronormativity, and after releasing trickster who has so many shades of the "this guy is effeminate so he could be gay and that's scary!"
-
TBH they won't do that, and there really is no way they will ever risk the huge gameplay overhauls needed to make it less powerful, so instead the need to just make it so Killers aren't given such a raw deal,
1: You can never derank facing a SWF
2: you get 30K blood points
3: None of your items are consumed
that way players will have their mood assuaged a bit,

But new player is more likely to simply uninstall/refund the game when they get a horrible experience.
That's my point, veterans seem to think every player should just ignore bad things and tough it out through insults taunts and ridiculously one sided match making ect, and don't see how this high turn over rate could be bad for the game in the long run,

Like really? Telling new players that they shouldn´t play the game?
they just seem to not care that new players have to spend tons of matches being bullied and spit on by unfair game elements before they can overcome it, to them a player who wants a reasonable fair match with good sportsmanship is just being a cry baby,

The problem is that its a licensed map. BHVR probably have very little creative control over what they can change in it in order to adapt it to DBD. I assume they even had to get the entity corruption changes approved to it.
They totally should have drawn the map from the first village area of RE4, that would have been a solid map and it would have made it so all 4 of the non controversial games were represented,

See if i could copy over the general concept of exhaustion, rename the new one "Second chance" and apply it to DT UB Deliverance and BT, and give it a permanent cool down so you can only use one of those perks per match, then make sure exhaustion addons ect don't effect it, and add the tool tips to the reworked second chance perks

Something tells me if they keep a hatchet amount of restriction with distance you're going to have like 3 or 4 by default. There would be no reason to keep that if you have to snipe to get iri head to work.
You assume to much competence of the devs, this is the same collection of folks who allowed team play in a game where it breaks everything,

The solution here is very simple make it so you can only run it but can't also run every other freebie noob tube perk, so you have to pick between unbreakable, adrenaline, deliverance, decisive strike, borrowed time ect

If i had to guess the reason she's not in the game is because licensing her likeness would be expensive as all hec, and that's if her actress was willing to do it,

They are weak because they are strong, removing the need for other survivors to meet up with you and heal you, hits a killer's pressure hard, so being able to do it fast without a limited supply of charges would make it so any chase that fails to end in a hook is a waste of time thus discouraging killers being relaxed and instead causing them to tunnel and camp harder, because any survivor who isn't hooked or dead is going to pop back up to full HP while gens get done all the same,
-
Honestly challenges wouldn't be as bad if they A: didn't require specific characters in some cases, and just as importantly B: weren't pick one to do, they should all be active at all times so natural game play events occasionally get's you a few extra BP as a treat, not forces you to jump through hoops chasing a challenge that forces you to change your entire play style and make purposefully bad moves to complete,
That said for a new player this grind is soul crushing, even worse if you don't have the money to skip the shard grinds for more characters, so yeah, anything to give more resources to help would be appreciated, i started playing the game this month and am already taking a break due to the grind being so damn much,

My only problem with this is killer side objectives are either not needed to be good or a large pain while survivors don't generally do side objectives (from my understanding) unless they see the killer has a hex or they need a medkit to heal and don't have one. Even ruin can't make some teams do bones,
-
They won't do it because of the expense of moderating it, you can't trust an algorithm to listen to audio sent in by a person and get it right, that's 100s of thousands of dollars a year more to hire them, also if someone doesn't want to use it they will be pushed out so non verbal people or those who don't speak the same language will face discrimination from players, not to mention the issues for women in such spaces,
-
yeah the only tasks should be hook x/hit x/break x for killers and should never be all in one game same goes for survivors, it should never ask you to change your play style, or feel stressed or worse demand you own a specific person, challenges and dailies are a bane on good game design,

I've been getting tunneled a lot more than usual lately. Not so much camping. I think people might be upset about the mori change? I dunno. That was my only guess. I had a game the other day where I was downed five times and he only touched one other person once. The other two weren't touched at all, and no one else was hooked.
The new mori changes would encourage tunneling to get the mori challenges/dailies done faster, especially if you have to grind for a mori on a killer you don't like,

why self care tho? 32 seconds wasted not on gen. Please run it in my games uwu
Could be running a killer who has trouble hitting multiple times per chase or something and prefers everyone stay wounded,
-
i had a silly one that i ran for 2-3 matches of Lullaby/ruin/thrill and either bitter murmurs or whispers, it flopped hard one match but during another one it took awhile for any gens to pop with a near constant series of explosions,
-
could be, could also just be other factors, frustration with something, the survivor has a item they want gone like a key, the player teabagged them so they are camping them as payback, a streamer did it, someone found a mathematical proof it works better, pvp is weird like that, even more so when it's asymmetrical like this,
-
@dezzmont said:
It generally isn't a perk problem if you are getting consistently camped, but a problem with your team being 'too overt' with the rescue.
If the killer can see that 3 people aren't on gens because 2 are 'hiding' staring at the hook while you sit on it, or they notice gens haven't popped for a WHILE, they aren't leaving the hook. The only reason they have is to pressure other survivors, and if survivors don't NEED to be pressured, they literally have nothing to gain by leaving.
Sometimes you get ride or die 'I am taking you all 3 hook states at once even if it costs me 4 gen' campers, but that is rare. Generally a SWF group can just threaten the killer by popping 2 gens at once while a survivor waits to rescue, and if the killer doesn't budge, they pop the next 2 and bring it to a 1 gen game with the killer not even having a tri-gen, which is an auto-lose with 3 survivors pipping, meaning that as long as your not ALWAYS caught first, you will as a SWF pip consistently.
The worst thing you can do to stop a camp is have someone 'beg' for a chase. Stuff like someone repeatedly fast vaulting, or running up to the hook then away, tells the killer that A: someone is waiting by the hook and the second they leave that person is getting rescued and they aren't getting that chase, B: Two people are not doing gens and thus they don't NEED to find another chase right now, and C: The survivors are little brats throwing a tantrum that the killer isn't playing poorly for no reason.
Another cardinal sin of rescues is looping near the hook. Loop once or twice there to get the killer comfortable chasing, but then go to another loop further away, and then another. Don't endlessly loop near the hook because A: that prevents a safe rescue, and B: If you go down near the hook, especially a basement hook, you actively just threw the game unless your team is running a full meta loadout of stuff like borrowed time and DS and the like.
Also if a killer goes full hard core camper even in a disadvantageous situation, odds are they have a daily or a challenge and aren't interested in normal game play right now, because doing so means more games as a under leveled or unliked killer,

I am a killer main, and I can say with absolute certainty that survivors should be able to go for the save. My main issue with hag is that she gets a lot of reward for little cost, especially regarding unhooks. Setting up traps is quick and easy, and the traps serve both as tools to get hits and as intel. Combine this with the right addons and Make Your Choice and you can cut down survivors with ease. It is very unfair towards survivors, as the hag can get in a chase with another survivor and teleport and the right time. The counter, crouching, is also rather dumb and is way to slow with out Urban Evasion.
Flashlights also are there, but they will run out of battery rather quickly.
I'm not arguing it's not unfun, or boring, for the survivors i'm pointing out that there is no solution that doesn't ruin Hag in other situations, and that you have counterplay, looping isn't fun for me but i'm not in here demanding that vaulting be removed or that killers have their base movement speed increased to 150% because i get that the open nature of the game creates situations where i will not have fun and others will and i deal with it, while this person sits here and demands easy freebies with no game knowledge, because taking their time drives them to such a point of insanity that they need to complain about it here, this isn't "this boss has to much HP and it makes the fight drag on a bit" this is "I refuse to use the block button in PVP remove the other person's attacks" Hag players may have spent 100s of hours on her, they don't deserve to have her nerfed into the ground because someone had to interrupt their M1 simulator to actually learn how to play the game, you don't have to crouch nonstop, you need to learn where she will put her traps, and see if she's staying close enough to teleport to them,

So I'm saying her mechanics are boring and flawed because it encourages her to camp one area and if the killer isn't leaving the area it's almost impossible to save without trading places and you're agreeing with me?
If you're in a hags area just crouch the entire game? You're winning my argument for me 😂
There's a reason she's hardly used because it's boring to set an area and then constantly mouse wheel spam and it's boring to crouch everywhere and pretty much know you're dead on hook if you get taken to a basement.....
That's not a discussion about skill that's a discussion about a killers mechanics being extremely toxic and lean towards the style of play that everyone hates in camping 🤷♂️
You can say git gud all you want but that doesn't change the fact that she's extremely easy to use and horribley boring to play against....
And again I think I'll take the opinion of the streamers that play on a daily basis rather than a random guy on the forums who thinks he's amazing at the game becuase they don't agree with you 🤷♂️
Or as i have said over and over and over to you, you can learn where hags place their traps, and if you aren't in a state of suspense when moving through a likely trapped area then that is a failing of the base game mechanic failing to make the threat of the killer legitimate enough,
Streamers have a financial incentive towards specific gameplay, they are not a reliable source of what is and not actually fun for everyone ingame,
If people always choose to rescue then killers are entitled to use that knowledge to form their tactics and strats, because hey you know what's better than one dead may or maybe not dead guy? that plus a chase plus the possibility of another chase and hook if the other rescuer rushes in and you catch him not depending on gens the survivors are in a terrible spot where they legit have to rescue or face a really hard late game, and all because someone couldn't be bothered to not rescue every hooked person ever, you don't have to rescue that person, you can just do gens and trust another player whose got more experience and knows how hag's play to do it and either outplay her or get outplayed, or get doomed because the unhooked person rushed out setting off traps and they are now both hooked, and you can now decide to either follow the other remaining player to try and help rescue, or you can look for the hatch and camp it, or you can choose to finish the last gen so if the rescue works you can open the gate and everyone escapes or no one does because the last person messed up and is now hooked and the hag closes the hatch and the gates are in range of her traps and you forget to crouch on your way up to the gate to start trying to open it and she jumps you and you die, all born of choices, that you and others made, all because the hag knew someone was going to come along and try to rescue the first hooked person,
if ya'll would just once in a while not go for the rescue camping wouldn't be as popular, 99% odds are worth banking the game on, but if there is only a 60% chance someone is going to rescue that person well you have to weigh the odds, and decide if your willing to wager the game on that, or if you will put your hook at greater risk by going out and trying to get other survivors, and apply pressure, as it stands though rescues both have a success rate that encourages survivors to engage in them and a occurrence rate that get's killers to count on them,

I think this is the worst argument I've heard so far... You're basically saying "git gud" by letting each survivor get hooked and just leave them to die because there's no other way to get around a camping hag that is mouse wheel spamming 😂
At not one point did I say I feel entitled to get hooked 3 times you've just made a story up in your head....
My argument is that her whole mechanic encourages the killer the camp it is extremely boring to play against (again which most streamers actually agree with) but average Joe here his reasoning is "git gud" 😂 awesome
If you don't want to ditch the hooked person learn where she will place her traps and crouch there, and fun is subjective, if the hag player has fun camping then get over it, and the killer isn't required to play for your fun, they are (and i know this will be hard for you to grasp) entitled to play how they want, Hag is a defensive killer who specializes in controlling an area, so either do the gens or learn to crouch at the right times in her territory, it's not that hard, it costs 0 dollars to realize occasionally in a game like this you will be up against a much better player who will be having fun crushing scrubs because instead of learning to play they demand things get removed, hag is just better than most because she can't teabag at exit gate,
-
It's there to enable her mind games, if her power is off she's a 110% killer and thus super loopable unless she can scare you, the passive phase helps to sell actual mind games because you never really know,
Never bring up RNG as a survivor issue, Killers are the ones who have RNG problems most of the time, it makes you look bad when you complain about if for survivors,
-
Maybe add ramping up negative effect to being infected to make staying that way to long more scary, like after broken comes exhausted and then blindness and finally hindered, over the course of maybe 2-3 minutes,

Lovely bit of theory there
If she camps like most hags do? And you're crouching around trying to get past them what do you do then? Start running and instantly get hit by a wheel scrolling hag?
You're trying to defend it with best case scenario... Do you know any hags that are going to trap a hook and then walk out of teleport range? You must be playing some pretty horrible hags lol
End of the day anyone who's played hag for more than a hour is going to camp in one area once she has a down and just rinse and repeat and theres nothing you can do about it
Otsz has complained about her on many occasions and done videos showing how easy it is to wipe survivors with hag with no perks because it really isn't that hard even against good players.
You're forced to sacrifice atleast a hit to get anyone off a hook and there's always the chance youl run into a random trap that is impossible to see because of fields and rocks etc
The whole argument of just crouching around the mal the entire game just proves my point of how awfully designed she is because you're forced to play like a beginner and hope for the best
End of the day killers get to decide if they want to contest a hook, you are not entitled to be unhooked or to unhook others, if you insist on rewarding them with free pressure and damage potential because you are to entitled to the false belief that you deserve by divine right to dictate others play style based on what is best for you, then that's on you, survivors are not entitled to be 3 hooked instead of camped, if a killer feels like it it is their right to employ that tactic weather to earn a challenge a daily or because they personally like to be immersed in their character and focus on guarding their kills, just because hag is good at a legitimate play style doesn't make her bad, it makes you bad for not either just ditching the hooked person because your fragile ego can't stand the idea that a killer isn't choosing to do you a favor by not employing it, or you not bothering to just learn where and when she likely trapped and crouching through it, and you can just do gens camping even for hag takes a while and leaves them with only the pressure generated by rescue attempts unless they are really good and trapped far away to catch rescuers before they (if they aren't you and thus know to start crouching) to surprise them, they won't be able to actually watch the hook while protecting gens outside of super good rng, in which case killers would love to discuss exit gates totems, and even entire maps,
sucks to say this, but this really is one of those times when you just need to "git gud"
-
yeah it's kind of brutal to sit there play a match and barely make a dent in the effort to unlock a teachable,

this is a joke right ? learn when to crouch ? you can't see the hag marks through grass etc so I'm assuming you've got some amazing sixth sense that the rest of us have to be able to do that ? you also can't crouch if she's chasing you.
a mouse wheel scrolling hag will instantly teleport and hit you and then the game snowballs. All she has to do is gen camp the triangle of gens...
I honestly don't understand some people's logic but that's the internet.
It means you are supposed to learn to where she will likely trap judge how far she is if she's carrying someone ect, it's not that hard to get, learn how to beat her, if she hooks someone in the basement, either assume it's layered with trap or ditch them and do gens, or wait till she's elsewhere then go get them, use basic tactical concepts such as understanding where she needs her traps where people need to go ect,

https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/214255/trapper-buff-ideas
- I’m assuming that you mean that if a survivor gets caught in a trap that the trapper placed and free themselves, the trap is reset and another survivor can be caught in the same used trap. Which doesn’t make much sense since getting yourself out of a bear trap doesn’t require you to fully open it. You just need to open it enough to slip your leg out and allow it to close again, much less effort than fully opening and arming the bear trap that just messed up your leg. However, if it is when the trapper pulls a survivor from a bear trap instead of hitting them then that makes more sense, and can be a QoL change for trapper making him more viable in cases where you need to quickly reset your traps and hook a survivor. Also giving the trapper a choice to rather reset the trap and grab the survivor or hit them and have to reset it later.
- Three to me seems a little much, two is a better system and still gives balanced value to his bags. I wouldn’t complain if it was three traps tho.
- so infinite traps since the traps in lockers would likely not deplete and would require a graphic/animation update to lockers/the trapper to accommodate the change. I’d rather, just change the spawning of his traps to consolidate it towards the center of the map and important areas like shack and main building.
- How many skill checks? How hard would they be? What would happen if they failed the skill check(s)? It is better to have a set time a caught survivor must complete with normal skill checks like puzzle boxes or demo’s portals. It removes the RNG factor and gives both the survivor and the trapper an idea of whether or not they should commit to it (ie. Trapper knowing it will take 20 seconds to travel to the trap but the survivor only needs 8-10 seconds to escape and vis versa).
I believe the first one means if trapper gets caught he resets the trap on freeing himself,
