Using the flashlight macro could also cause severe health issue for other players. With this in the game it is completely off limits for epilepsy sufferers
-
Never going to happen. The director of Jeepers Creepers is locked up for being a pedo. Bhvr won't touch that, even they have standards
-
He is literally the worst killer in the game. He is slower than a survivor when throwing. If you can't loop that then thats on you.
-
I think this is a great idea. I find kicking to be basically useless unless I have pop.
Having the timer to stop regression would make ruin too strong though. The time to stop regression would work if only applying to kicked gens. Maybe there could be an animation of the survivor flicking a switch on the gen or even giving it a good old Fonzy punch.
Another possibility is that all gens naturally regress at a slow rate while not being worked on. If the killer kicks the gen it increases the regression speed to ruin speed on that gen until a surv touches it, at which point the regression goes back to the standard slow rate. I think with this in place gen tapping wouldn't be as punishing for the killer as there is still some, albeit slow, regression happening on the tapped gen

I like the idea of hexes getting progressively weaker as totems are cleansed. Getting a free slot for a hex is problematic though.
What I think would work is making monstrous shrine in to a hex that is always in use. That way there is always 1 hex in play to encourage cleansing and light the bones Essentially a locked 5th perk, but let's be honest not a great one.
Noed could also be reworked using this idea. It could give tokens when activated depending on how many totems remain. Each hit on a survivor expends a token and destroys a random totem, thus weakening other hexes in use

What no one here is mentioning is that by dc you are also robbing the killer of the sacrifice that they have clearly earned. This negatively affects their ranking. This is why you are punished. If everyone was allowed to freely deny the sacrifice without consequence it would become a very unfun experience for killer. What would be the point in playing if you just get robbed of any wins cos people are too impatient to wait 5 seconds.

To be honest I think hey escapes are completely game breaking. There is no counter to it. So many times it has got to a 3 gen situation and I think, ok maybe I can make a slight comeback he.... nope apparently gens don't matter
How is it fair that survivors can just end the game early if they are doing well. When a killer does well the last survivor still gets a 50/50 chance to escape through hatch despite being wrecked all game. A key escape is the equivalent of the last remaining survivor being instantly sacrificed.
Just another example of the game being designed for the survivors to escape

Just count it as a win and move on.
I would much rather have them escape through the hatch then them hiding and making me have to wait untill EGC finaly kills them.
The game is over at that point no need to drag it out
Ok then. Lets use that same logic the other way around. Lets say that the survivor team are great and do all of the gens with no one dying. Suddenly the entity pops out of the ground kills one random survivor.
This is essentially the same thing. The superior team being deprived of a full win despite clearly dominating and deserving it.
By your logic they should just accept that 3 escapes is a win and move on.

Are we all just going to gloss over the entire reason the character is called Leatherface. Wearing victims faces is a huge part of his character design. Removing his face masks would be almost as bad as removing his chainsaw.
The cosmetics are not the issue at all. People will always find some tool to be offensive with. Some people are just like that.
Why should everyone lose out on stuff just because a minority of people are acting like fools. Just remove the fools, simple as that.
-
I think a good way to rework this is to have skill checks like there are on Pyramid Head cages. Also make the penalty a small decrease in sacrifice time like a failed escape attempt (greats maybe pause the timer slightly). Randomly dying instantly because of something stupid like your finger slipping or minor lag is really not fun.
This could also allow a rework for Monstrous Shrine in messing with the checks difficulty in attempt to kill hooked survivors quicker (more so for basement hooks, or maybe remove the great zone for those).

Not on console. I am on PC with a 960 GPU

dam that sucks. kinda weird as they are both technically using same login. Thanks anyway

I mean killers should be grateful moris are even in the game because what do survivors get thats on the same level as a mori? A flashlight flick and tbags?
Survivors do have these small metal devices that let them instantly escape from the game. I would say that is on the same level if not higher.

So I definitely am not familiar with the playstyle you describe, I guess I'm just not at that level? I'm just used to getting my [BAD WORD] kicked in any time someone brings a key, and it appears the killer is just bullying us for no reason. Keys, to me, are super chancey, and usually not worth the effort it takes to not be destroyed while you have it. I've even been in matches with people who found a broken key in a chest, and the killer still punished all of us for it. Then there was the match where a Huntress used iri heads and camped me to death, when I wasn't even the one who brought the key.
Basically, I think a lot of killers have an overblown idea of keys, based on things they've seen on rank 1 streams, and they're inaccurate to most levels of play, and the killers are just using this as an excuse to be bullies and have it seem justified.
It isn't just the rank 1 streams we see keys ending games early. We also get it all the time from the rank 1 survivors we ourselves somehow face all the time after reaching green ranks. We hate keys cos it is very disheartening to feel like your maybe on to a win just for the survivors to say 'nope we win now, game over' . I'm sure survivors would hate if there was an item that made the entity immediately kill all survivors after each has been hooked once.

I’m not disputing that there are crap killers out there, although wraith has his strengths when played properly, but yes he is difficult
How I see it is that he is just a worse version of spirit. She goes actually invisible, is faster and doesn't give people a super long warning that she is about to attack
-
I think that another way to do this is to limit the amount of Learned perks that are allowed to be used. This would mean that Survivors would become slightly more unique as they can use all of their own perks whereas another survivor cannot. It might not work though as everyone would just be Bill as he has the most usable personal perks (unbreakable, BT)
Maybe making one perk for each character a signature perk that only they can use.
Perhaps limiting learned perks to green level. This means only the survivor who the perk is actually from has access to purple level. After all they should be the best at that perk.
I do agree it is dumb that survivors are basically just reskins of each other
-
If you want a challenge all you have to do is play Wraith. Outright the worst killer in the game. He can't even get his gimmick of being invisible right.
-
Chucky would be great if they can figure out a way for him to hook people. Maybe the hooks could be lower for him and he drags people. Or he hops on their back and forces them to hook themself. Slow hooking could make up for his huge advantage of being small
Don't know that much about Pinhead apart from he looks pretty scary. I certainly would like him appearing while I was doing a gen.

I still haven´t given up hope that one day Jason will make his appearance in DBD, finally completing the ensemble of classic Slashers (and the Band).
Maybe one day F13th will admit it has been beaten by the better game, and allow their character to be in a successful game
-
There is no miss stun as Spirit will always have that element of guessing where the survivor is. You will not always know exactly where the survivor is. Perhaps you know they are on a gen but not which side, so you take a guess.
If you guess wrong you have lost your post phase speed boost and now have to chase slowly on foot with power on cooldown.
Nurse and Legion can both see the survivors while using their power so have an advantage over Spirit in that sense.
-
I see your point that MK get some pretty crazy stuff and have a lot of freedom. As i said this is because the guest characters are owned by the same publisher as Netherrealm so they pretty much get free reign.
Unfortunately DBD doesn't have that so they are limited in what they are allowed to do with the guest characters, as the Mod has explained above.
Licencing is a complicated world with many rules. I work in publishing so know first hand.
Look up the whole issue around the Freddy licensing and you will understand more.
-
My take on improving these status would be that for Blindness it actually obscures vision (like clown gas but not as strong)
For Haemorrhage it should make pain noises louder/more frequent, making it partly mitigate Iron Will effect. Having experienced haemorrhaging IRL I can say you for sure cannot run and stay silent. Even walking is complete agony.
Nothing drastic but would make them actually have an impact
-
What they are allowed to do can vary depending on the agreement they have with the licence holder. There is a big legal thing regarding the rights to Freddy and Quentin which is why no cosmetics have been made for them. Not even fixing Quentin's dodgy face.
The licensed characters in MK are from Warner Brothers who also owns Netherrealm meaning they get a lot more freedom to change them up.
As much as I would love to see new skins I don't trust random people to do the characters any justice. Much better to leave it to the pros.
-
Completely agree. This will be what stops me playing if it does not improve.
I have only been playing since Halloween this year so I know full well I have a lot to learn and improve on. Thing is I will never get a good chance to learn if every game I face 4 red survivors with full meta perks and god like looping skills. Competitive skills improve bit by bit when facing similarly skilled opponents
Would an amateur boxer ever improve if he only ever got to fight Mike Tyson. No he would get fed up of being pasted 1st round and do something else.
-
I have always thought the bubble was intended to slightly mess with players.
I thought the bad vision from the bubble while you are a killer was due to the big floodlights of the gen coming on, and the killer also getting angry.
For survivors it is them being scared that their friend has been put on a meat hook and not thinking straight. Us players are just desensitised how brutal the hooks really are
-
How I see it Mori and Keys essentially fill the same purpose. They allow the user to skip their end game and immediately win.
Killers skip the later hooks, survivors skip the later gens.
As they are both essentially opposite side of the same coin how is it fair to nerf one and not the other.
I agree that Mori needed changing and think what they did is not bad. Hopefully they will soon take the bubble wrap of survivors and rework their side. I doubt it though
-
As nice as this would be there are a few reasons it won't happen.
- BHV not gonna go handing out free Auric
- There are characters that not even the devs are allowed to make cosmetics for due to licensing rules
- People could create skins based on other licensed characters (e.g Jason) therefor BHV won't be allowed to sell them
- All survivors would suddenly be in the most camo skins imaginable. Claudette may even just phase out of existence completely ;)
-
Blocking with Bubba and Bllly is not a bug
There are add ons for hatchet recovery time I believe. Maybe they were using that. Also don't survivors become temporarily invincible and speed boost after taking damage.
-
too many survivors must have moaned killers get too hooks to easily :)
-
Just had this happen to me also on Macmillan. Survivors were still able to vault it from that direction
-
The matchmaking might as well not exist at all. I am a rank 9 killer and for my past 20 games I have had at least 2 red ranks. About 50% of them it is 4 reds
I get that a system will always have its hiccups but to be so off, so consistently clearly shows something is not right.
Its so annoying as I get no chance to actually improve. Some of the survivors I play I have no chance of competing with. This means I need to either get totally stomped or just accept my fate and camp for the 1 kill I can scrape out.
Also don't even think about trying out a new killer. You will have no chance of getting fair games to learn how they work.

yes i do think it should be at least for previously hooked survivors as a killer can simply slug a unhooked survivor and hook another survivor before going back to the one they slugged, i do it ALL THE TIME.
there is nothing stopping the killer from snowballing until they win it's not hard to do when nothing stops you from doing so. (hook a survivor, down a survivor shortly after and hook them after the other is saved, tunnel the unhooked survivor and hook them again.)
that simply provides too much counter play in too many situations as DS would be too easy to deactivate, use your brain.
How I see it is that if a survivor is remaining slugged long enough for the killer to win a chase with another survivor and hook them, they should be fair game for another hooking. There are 2 very simple counters for a killer doing this. The first survivor can either use Unbreakable, or get picked up by other players.
As it stands now DS punishes killers that are just doing well almost as much as those that are legit tunnelling. Survivors abuse this to do objectives right in front of the killer knowing that there is no consequence for doing so.
