The longer the game goes the more it favors killer. Most of the time (especially vs perks like sloppy butcher) it is worth it to do gens over healing. If you can get a group heal going that is best or if you can complete a gen and heal after that works too.
I'm aware. That's why it's infuriating for me as a solo survivor when I'm the only person playing injured, and I'm the only person working on gens.

All the time.
Being comfortable with playing injured is required at high level play. For stealth players like me Iron Will makes it such that it's not such a big deal. We can play injured and still avoid the killer most of the time.
Good loopers can loop most killers on just one health state. Besides they all have DS and Dead Hard anyway.
Yeah I had a feeling. It's absolutely maddening for me lately. I often see red rank survivors on console wit Self Care. I get teammates who self care after every legion forces them to mend. Maybe I need to turn on cross play and see if my teammates improve.
-
I've learned you have to pretend like you're trying to run from the killer to get hooked. If you make it clear you want out in these situations, they will slug you. I've even had killers specifically tell me that.
-
So what you're asking for is for every killer to get buffed?
-
I've had a miserable time as a survivor against this killer. I think I've had one escape. Part of it is still learning how to play against them but I don't know why everyone said the Twins were so weak. Maybe against a SWF but as as solo survivor, it's awful. I just had a game against the twins where I was slugged twice and I had a Blendette right by me, too terrified to move, and she could have gotten me up twice but didn't once. Why help your teammates or work on a gen when you can be too petrified to move?
-
Why would it be toxic? I remember when killers used to pretty regularly kill two people and let the last two go. I think there was a challenge that was just 'get two kills with this killer' and I assumed that's what people were doing. When I play killer I just do it for the challenges and I don't care about kills. Match making is so broken I'd have a miserable time if I only cared about kills anyway.

That's not really tunneling.
You're right. I am so sorry. The fact that he walked 15 feet from my hook and left someone on the ground so he could hook me a second time in 10 seconds is absolutely not tunneling.

The whole point of teabagging is to anger the killer. If you guys keep being tilted, people are going to keep doing it.

I'm just wondering why she had 3 ways of healing herself 😂 who's so insecure about being injured that they need a medkit, an instaheal and adrenaline lmaooo
I play on console and 99% of my teammates will NOT ever play injured under any circumstance. Self Care is extremely common in red ranks. Most teammates are happy to let you get tunneled out of the game without even being hit once. Happens more than you'd think. That being said, I'd literally rather die than run Self Care. I have a few characters that are fully prestiged but I refuse to ever unlock Self Care on principle.
-
If getting one kill is all that matters, tunnel away. If you're going against a good team as you said, if you do nothing but tunnel one person, the rest should walk out easily. I know that's what happens to me when I'm tunneled. My other teammates walk out without even being touched most of the time.
-
Honestly with survivors losing add ons now whether the item is used or not, Ace In The Hole is useless. The fact that toolboxes have been destroyed makes searching chests a lot less worthwhile now. It's funny because they thought gens went too fast because of toolboxes and now I never search chests anymore and just do gens ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I think Jeff has better perks between the two of them but neither have perks worth using compared to other survivors.
-
Fourth game of the night - I'm on a gen with two other people. Deathslinger leaves chase with the injured person to down and slug me. Injures everyone else, hooks me. He downs someone else, leaves him slugged to tunnel me. Eats my DS, hooks me a second time in about 10 whole seconds.
I've deranked twice already.
-
Autohaven sucks now. I love that you put all this time into learning maps and spawns and then the devs update them and ruin the best and most fair map in the game.

I’m really sick of the lack of grey matter between survivors heads since the introduction of Undying.
Here’s a typical summary of how dumbly frustrating a lot of my matches are since Undying:
- Test first gen to see if Ruin is in play. See how I and the other survivors go in doing repairs, and how well the killer can pressure gens before determining if Ruin is too much of a nuisance, and needs to be deliberately searched for.
- Expect that Undying is most likely being used, cleanse dull totems as I go until finding a hex to reduce number of hex transfers.
- Cleanse first hex I see. Yep, Ruin is still up, most likely because of Undying.
- Continue to search and cleanse until I know from the count in my head that we are down to only 1 (or 2 totems left).
- FIND A HEXED TOTEM IN PLAIN SIGHT, RIGHT NEXT TO/NEAR A COMPLETED GENERATOR!!!
So this was a dull totem the other survivors totally ignored, thus allowed an additional transfer of a hex because of Undying, thus contributing overall to additional wasted time.
Please, Zombie Jesus, stop ignoring dull totems when a hex is up!!! Until a hex is found cleanse the damn dull totems. That way at the very LEAST, if Undying isn’t found first, hex transfers are either LIMITED or DON’T OCCUR AT ALL!!!
I've always used Small Game. Old Ruin was extremely difficult on console, and I think NOED is BS. I don't mind cleansing totems, the crunch is a nice sound. I cannot tell you how many games I've only had time to do four and we all die because of NOED. Like. For the love of god. The fact that one person won't take the time to do ONE totem is shocking to me. Especially considering it counts as Boldness points and most people are too terrified to do anything but Spine Chill and Urban Evade the entire game. And new Ruin is actually stronger as a solo survivor. Not to mention Small Game works against Hag, Freddy, and Trapper. Touch the totems.

Just a little suggestion to tighten the matchmaking requirements. Me being a rank 7 killer player should not be going up against all rank ones or vise versa. Some games I go up against grey and yellow ranks. If I am facing all rank 1s, I'm going to get destroyed, if I am going against survivors that do not know how to use pallets, then they are going to get destroyed. I know a lot of people complain about this, but I think this should be at the top or the dev's to-do list, or people that are just staring this game will uninstall when they are playing a sweaty nurse or similar. I know I almost did.
I'm a level 16-18 killer who only plays for an extremely rare daily challenges and the rift challenges. I get purple ranks in 99% of my games, along with frequent SWFs, where 2 people are running BT, a flashlight or two, and someone has For The People. Red ranks in my games are not uncommon either. I'm not even trying to get kills or improve, I just want to get my challenges done and get out. It's a miserable experience.

I am constantly told I've been reported for doing things in game that people don't like. The other day I was accused of working with the killer because I didn't unhook someone as fast as they wanted (she didn't go into struggle and she also didn't move to unhook me when I had gone down first). I was reported for working with the killer because I fast vaulted near another teammate. I was reported for telling a level 18 killer who DC'ed, 'I get unfair match making like that too when I play killer, GGs.' I wonder how many times I get reported without getting a message letting me know.

I swear.... past 5 games with a freddy have been insta dc or suicide on hook. Did i miss something about freddy?
Yeah I have a few killers where I just want out. Especially when I'm found first most of the time and when I go down none of my teammates are doing anything? I'm out. Hey, at least killers get more BBQ stacks now when people die on first hook.
-
There is no way for the game to know that the killer is farming and then deactivating the DC penalty. Sometimes I can't even tell if a killer is farming/meme'ing or just really bad. I'd like to be able to DC from a game when a teammate blocks me in after I cleanse a totem but I don't get to do that. Either way, I have to sit there and waste my time and be unable to play. The DC penalty is bad for the game, period. People still DC. People kill themselves instantly on first hook. All the penalty does is reduce the amount of people playing the game. As a survivor who regularly waits 10-15 minutes for a game, that's unfathomably stupid.
As for why do people farm? The amount of BP that someone can get farming with BBQ as opposed to playing a game as survivor is insane. As you said, you could easily get 50k from one game farming and that could take 2-5 survivor games, depending on how they go. Add in the amount of time survivors have to wait for games? It could take 10-15 minutes for a farming killer to earn 50k and more than an hour for a survivor. I also think for survivors trying to do killer challenges, it's miserable. I don't have the experience, perks, or add ons to have a chance at getting some challenges done, especially when I'm a level 16/17 killer who almost always gets purple and red ranks in my games.
Also, do gens and open the gate. You don't have to farm.
-
The bugs don't ruin the game for me, it's the selfishness of my teammates and the killers who down me five times a game without even trying to go after anyone else after waiting 15+ minutes to get a game.
-
I know people who put thousands of hours into games and are absolutely shockingly bad at the game. I don't think it would be an accurate measure of skill.
-
As a solo survivor, please god no. I don't want to hear these fools I have to play with. It's one of the reasons I like DBD and quit playing Friday the 13th. I don't want any seven year old boys squeaking in my ears. I like the challenge of being a solo survivor. It's so satisfying in the rare occasion you get actual skilled teammates who are willing to play the game and not just Blendettes who Spine Chill and Urban Evade the entire game.
-
@TransverseCaster said:
After years of playing I've switched to Freddy and I've finally hit rank 2, yet I still suck and get beat hard. When that happens I go to the corner of the map and wait for the survivors to just open the gate and leave. But they don't. They follow me to the corner and just stand behind me for five minutes.
If you do this please stop. Just end it. It's already over. Two hooks by the end game with no kills isn't a fun game for me and I'm ready to do something else.
Why don't you open the gate? Or better yet, if you know you just switched to Freddy and you're still learning, why not stop pouting in the corner and just work on what you can work on?

I've been watching a lot of Michi's videos and frankly, I enjoy it. It's nice to see unused perks like MYC, ToT, Dark Devotion, Third Seal, and even Cruel Limits being actually viable with Hag. All she needs is Corrupt intervention and she's good to go.
And yet so many people seem to want Hag nerfed, they want instant teleport hits removed, they want Rusty Shackles gone (Which I guess I can understand), they want Mint Rag nerfed and many other nerfs to completely butcher her until she's as bad as Trapper.
I can understand the frustration with her since she is a teleporting killer like Nurse but come on! It takes 0 skill to play Hag?! Freddy I can understand, Spirit I can somehow understand but why Hag! If your trap placement is terrible, you won't be able to use your power and you're stuck as a 110% killer. Basement Hag is the least skillful playstyle of hers and even then you can still do some nice mind games with it, unlike camping Bubba.
But most of all, I like Hag because she makes some perks work and she doesn't have to rely on Ruin Undying Tinkerer. Sort of like Demo, she can activate MYC and Devour Hope and still get the unhooker afterwards. Perks that give you short bursts of information or only work on certain locations like Bitter Murmur and Cruel Limits can also work on her.
Heck, things that Demo can't usually run because of his shred like Knock Out and Dark Devotion can work on Hag. Perks that rely on spreading damage like Third Seal and Blood Echo are pretty decent on her. As long that Corrupt Intervention is there, she can run whatever she wants and I like that. I get to take on 3 possibly unique perks and 1 uncommonly used one. Also before you say Hags that run Ruin Undying Tinkerer are boring, unless the Hag is running Mint Rag, Hag is terrible at scaring people off gens. Remember, she a 110% killer who is trap based.
TL;DR : Hag is great because she can give a variety to the game if the player chooses. That is the opposite of boring
Can't remember the last time I saw a Hag. I've been playing probably 4-5 hours a day lately and haven't seen one.
-
Okay, first of all, if killers weren't so tilted by teabagging, survivors wouldn't do it.
Now, on to your other point. I've been playing a lot of killer lately to get the challenges done and I'm in the 16-18 range. I ALWAYS have purple ranks in my games. Literally always, and sometimes there are also red ranks. It certainly seems SWF with a couple people running Borrowed, a flashlight, and For The People. Being a solo survivor, those things are very rare to see. Definitely not in one game.
Sometimes I get messages after the games from rank 5 survivors who escaped saying "LMAO NO WONDER UR A 17." I'm a level 17 because I'm a solo survivor who only plays killer for the challenges, and I've never felt so insecure and sad that I need to taunt someone who I never should have played against in the first place. I did message a level 18 killer who DC'ed last night and I said something like, 'unfair match making, I get that too when I play killer, GGs,' and he told me he reported me for harassment ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I personally don't think SWF is the problem, it's match making. Level 18-20 SWFs against a level 18-20 killer is going to be very different than two purples and two noobs vs a noob killer.

This is truly a blessed week! BHVR is generous enough to give us 500 shards and 10,000 blood points! WOW!
But in all seriousness what in the absolute [BAD WORD] is this? The only good part of this week is the 200,000 BP we get for christmas.
They told us this event would be smaller than normal. But holy jesus they really skimped out on the effort for this one. How ironic that in a season of giving BVHR would give so little.
I was laughing at the 10,000 a day BP. That was for five days, right? So literally the equivalent of one killer game? lmao. But yeah, they don't have to do anything, so I'll take it. It's just kinda funny when you think about it for more than a split second.

I'm looking forward to any positive changes in the future that make it less annoying to get through.
I have one survivor master challenge left and I think it's just mean on both survivors and killers. Stunning them 4 times in one match is tough but it also makes you look like a jerk to the killer.
I only got that one done because a killer was farming, otherwise I never would have. Most killers are terrified of pallets and you can only Head On someone as a solo so many times.

So ive saved up a ton of moris because i rarely use them... usually will sometimes if i see a map and key, and even then if i have control of a game i wont even use it.
But now i have all these mori’s and no reason to use them cause they have 0 game play advantage.
Instead of just changing the slider from a 1 to a 2 and being lazy after you’ve been working on this nerf for over a year and surprise surprise not touching keys.
Why not use them to reward good behaviour and gameplay as a killer.
Have a mori activate after 8 total hooks.
Like “After 8 hooks while being 15 meters away from the unhook you can kill the remaining survivors by your own hand”
You can even have the different tiers relate to number of hooks.
Hell you could have made it so you can mori after the first hook but added that you need to wait 2 minutes after the unhook to be able to mori them
They have nerfed survivor items into the ground and we feel the same way. Every toolbox. Syringes. Styptics. The key change is coming. It is what it is. Moris were game breaking and I'm glad they're gone.

Okay then Prove Thyself should be default for survivors.
Not everyone is terrified to play this game. It's a give and take. I don't waste time healing, but you only have to hit me once to down me.
-
Yeah I see this a lot as well. I honestly think sometimes they don't realize if a person got injured that means they're being chase. Like, my dude, no one stubbed their toe...
Lately when the person who hasn't even been touched the entire game won't make a save, I just let them die. It's not even about the BP. I'm just not going to help reward that person for their selfish and poor play.

Unless you are eager for the woke headline of "HORROR MOVIE GAME NOW ALLOWS YOU TO FREELY MURDER LGBT CHARACTERS" that would surely arise from it.
Then why isn't every character a white man? Diversity matters. It's probably nice for you that you can see yourself represented everywhere, but it's the not case for a lot of us.

Yeah survivors are kinda insane in this game, and I'm a survivor main. I play killer for challenges and I have to turn off my messaging on PS4 now because I know I'm going to get tons of messages no matter what. I'm a level 17 killer and I get messages from survivors who live and the few that I manage to kill. I got a message from a level 5 survivor the other day who escaped taunting me for how bad I was. The rare occasion I get a noob killer in purple ranks, I send "GGs, unfair match making." It's funny that killers complain about teabagging as toxic when people cross the line with messages so often.

We all have been tunneled and camped, but the question that I started thinking about is what is the psychology behind camping and tunneling and why does it feel so negative? Or if you do it why does it feel positive and rewarding at times? What are you guys theories?
I think because so many survivors are bad at the game they rely entirely on stealth and not skill. So many people will unhook you but not take a hit, no matter how many times you've been slugged or hooked already. A lot of killers just can't find anyone else, so they run the risk of losing all four if they try to be fair and look for the person who made the unhook. There's also just being bad at the game on the killer side and thinking that one kill is at least something.

Go play against broken SWF at high ranks when they has power struggle, flip flop and unbreakable and you will find out. Have fun while you can.
You're missing the point. If you think this game is stressful, why are you playing it? Games should be fun. If you're not having fun, stop playing. And don't bother to say, "Have fun getting a game then." This isn't salty. I cannot fathom why so many killer mains complain that this game stresses them out and is so miserable and yet they keep playing.

I haven't had any fun against the new killer either. They slug, stand over the body, send out Victor, and I can't even get to the person to try to get them up before Victor is on me.
