Swift Death- would encourage slugging which is boring as hell.
Dead lift- could work. They made mad grit for similar purpose though.
Sixth sense- I thought about it too. Like it would be nice if we knew how long that marks can be traced. or finding teammates.
Deal with the Devil- Leaving no scratch marks could be more powerful than pallet loops. Pallets are not infinite once they are broken advantage goes to killer.

I don't exploit and I've had one Frank's Mixtape in total. Nobody DC'd when I was using the add-on.
Most of them disconnects before they know your add-ons or perks. When they see Legion they immediately disconnect.
-
Nah, I think only that last person won`t DC just to prevent that. Other 3 would still though.
-
I get neither fast matches nor suitable ranks. Pretty much every game I attended today was the same. Me and killer are the similar ranks and I got way lower ranked teammates. And finding a lobby takes really long time. Every time system puts me over 350 pinged lobbies in the first couple of try. If I manage to find some place either no one else sticks around or the game crashes at loading screen.

It just means killers with tier 1 of those perks get the range or points benefits associated with tier 3 of the perks. It is a buff to killers who have not leveled those perks to completion yet.
I`ve read the range change part. But didn`t see anything about the blood point bonus, so I assumed it hasn`t been changed. Somebody told me they have removed the bonus blood points from it. That`s why I felt the need to ask about it.

It seems weird to me that Level 3 Distressing is now worse than Level 1 in a vacuum (certain mechanics are better with the Level 3 version, but in a general sense, Level 1 gives you less of a TR increase but the same BP reward, if I am understanding it correctly).
It is weird indeed. But are those blood points awarded after game or they count as in game bonus like beast of prey?
-
On PTB, every map is like Ormond for me. I can`t pass 45 fps, unless I lower my settings. I am afraid that`s how its gonna be on live version. The more they optimize, the less performance I get. Maybe optimization is not mean what I think it means.

Sloppy was never nerfed, and literally the aim of the game is to repair gens. Adrenaline is not that common. I get maybe one person in two games that has it, and even then most games don't make it through all the gens.
Really? I see minimum 3 survivors carry Adrenaline in a regular red rank match. Most of the time they prefer to do gens instead of healing I agree on that with you @NurseMainBTW. However I don`t think reversing self care at this point will prevent genrush or reduce adrenaline usage. I think Devs are looking for new ways to reduce that time with more requirements. For example, with this new coming perk Solidarity, they give you that 30% time back with more altruistic way.

That’s a lag switch. Lag spiking is just jumping around and having late swings and vaults and what not, but switching is more noticeable, as killers will stand still while Survivors are unable to do anything against the Killer. I hope this helped. :)
Thank you. I read about them on this forum couple of times, but still sometimes I have hard time to tell them apart. Esp. when I am at the receiving end of it :)
-
I assumed what @Aceonfire meant that`s for all the players in that game. And if its not it should be that way. Why discriminate killers, right?

@George_Soros @se05239 Or it'd give survivors full control over killer offerings, since they'd just DC with impunity every single time they saw something they didn't like. Personally, I'd like to try to minimize DCing.
And DC players gonna DC regardless. at least this way killer get to keep their add ons and hopefully offerings for more suitable matches.

I have always loved antagonist characters in books and movies, pretty much annoyed with most of the protagonists. That`s me shortening it a bit and adding my initials to the end.

They do it to avoid Doctor`s shock therapy as well.

SWF and the ranking system have ruined the solo experience for me, I barely play solo survivor nowadays....
We need ingame voice comms, there is no other way to solve this problem
That would become even a bigger problem for me. One of the main reasons I enjoy this game so much is not have to put up with people in my ear all the time.
I wouldn`t mind having more gestures to communicate a bit more, though.

No You didn't get it.
Currently I am using Bond, Windows of Opportunity, Balanced landing and Adrenaline.
I wouldn't start to use Ace suddenly because of Open handed, I would use Dwight, Kate, Nea or Meg and get one of their perks (one of my perks right now) as my 5th slot and instead, I would start to use Iron will.
It still takes a slot, not your original 4 but your 5th. You can swap one of your original 4 slots to 5th slot and use another perk in its place.
Yes, you can do that and that would satisfy the 5th perk need for you and you get to play as that 5 character more; like you do now mostly.
And there are other who also enjoy perk variety. For example I like trying out different combinations. And I would definitely take advantage of that extra personalized perk slot with different characters. If you ask how is this different than just giving an extra slot regardless the player. I would say none, except giving that character more reason to play as.
An addition I see many players who run open handed or up the ante and lets not forget about ace in the hole.
I wouldn`t see this change as absolving some characters, on the contrary this may encourage to play them more often.
-
I play mainly solo survivor and I agree sometimes it is more than frustrating. But I can`t think of many ways buffing solo survivor without buffing a 4 man SWF group 4 times.

Not necessarily. Those “useless” perks wouldn’t be as useless since theoretically they are not taking up a slot. Suddenly Ace’s aura perk can easily pair with kindred without taking up space.
Exactly my point. It is mostly discussed that 5th perk would be OP, that way you put some limitation and variety at the same time.
-
Personally; I would like to have 5th slot option for only unique perks. Ii would give more meaning to play as that character.
I`ve said it before and got comments like how it would only increase the amount of Claudette players, but I think there are already plenty of them.
-
@Tzeentchling9 right there with you.
-
I don`t know if it is common or not but I frequently get crashes after someone uses bloody party streamers. Either my screen freezes and I had to restart game or after long loading screen game starts as 3 or 2 survivors. It has been occurred so many times to be considered as coincidence, yet I can`t be sure of course.

Just because someone is playing a killer you don't like is not a good reason to disconnect. ######### on your first hook, fine. But disconnecting over a specific killer is childish. I will admit that I have disconnected in games before, but usually only because the killer is face camping, or tunneling me, and I'm not enjoying the game. No one likes playing against Legion. It's even worse when one ######### disconnects and there are three of us left playing against Legion. Don't be that #########.
Calling someone childish because they don`t wanna face certain killers and here you are saying you dc when get tunneled or camped. How is that different exactly? "When you get camped, stay on the hook and give your teammates a chance to do some gens. Don`t be that #########." as you say it.
-
Ragequits, tunnellers, and unbalanced lobby's, and you can thank the emblem system.
You summed up perfectly what I like to say but horribly fail about current situation of the game.
I would like to see balance chapters before any other chapters. I was pretty excited before the announcement of the new killer, but now I am not sure. I guess we’ll see.

@Warlock_2020 said:
No. I don't miss anything about it. It was a horrible event that brought out the worst in survivors and killers. I'll completely skip DbD if they do that one again.
How it was different than now? Or should I ask is it better now? Were there more tunneling more camping or killers were actually leaving the spot a bit to look for a lantern? Survivors weren’t disconnecting this much that is for sure.
-
@Saint_Ukraine said:
Really? Because I remember LONG wait times; whether I was solo queuing, or just trying to duo queue, it took forever. As for the event itself, I pretty much skipped it because I didn't really feel like grinding just for some cosmetics that go with characters I don't even play. That's what I did for the Hallowed Blight Event, and it was such a waste of time; I never even use the cosmetics I got from that event anyhow.
I got longer que times only after they bumped a bit the killer points. Before that I found lobbies immediately as killer. Only problem was killers become a bit picky and started dodging a bit more and caused me struggling for a while. But compared to now, it seemed still better at the time.
-
@The_Crusader said:
No, my memories of the event are survivors being left on the hook to die and survivors getting mad over lanterns and then trying to get other people killed for it via sandbagging and notification spamming.
Yeah but also there was nice team work where the bug gave every survivor the lantern points if one survivor escaped with it. Wasn’t that better survivor experience ?
-
I used to feel exactly like you do. And also switced to playing killer more often. Tbh I am amazed how you haven’t changed your mind after playing killer more. It is ten times more frustrating as killer. You can’t play nice, you can’t play tough without being called many names after chat. Now when I get camped I blame my teammates and if I get tunneled that means I wasn’t good enough at evading.
Since we count our games today I played maybe 30 games as survivor at rank 2 and pretty much all gone the same. We start with disconnects either at loading screen or after they hear the nurse blink or Billy’s saw. Then area patroling killer never lets any unhooks or gets down the unhooked person immediately. And my last game a spirit couldn’t down anyone but me there was still 5 gens to go and my teammates did them all and escaped. And that was the first game I’ve enjoyed all day. Watching circling aimlessly spirit get -1 pip because of her lack of skills was enough for now. And thats on survivors not killer.
-
Not only pings, though. Also rank matching is kind of off. My latest match,
-
The most anti-FPS map.

I am the only one that doesn't find legion frustrating I guess. At least no more than other killers. When I face good killers, it really doesn't matter who they play as, they are equally annoying

The frustrating part with facing a Legion is most of the time you really can't do anything. They stab you back to back, which takes most of your bleed out timer and after that you have two options start mend, which shouldn't be interrupted or try to stay in chase which results in them turning back.
-
Certainly an interesting idea. I am not sure if it's ever tried before but I would like to try it as long as they provide another waking up method.
-
I think it doesn't matter if you run aftercare or not. If someone wants to drop killer on others they run bond or empathy just for that purpose. Personally I find aftercare quite useful, but only downside for me is resetting on hook after I established all three connections.

Don’t you think body blocking also being abused? -

I like everything about the DBD, even complaining about it. Pyscho killers, toxic survivors, salt at the end, thrill of getting the last save, joy of taking someone on the edge of gate...
Every part of the game got a unique taste. I guess that keeps me hooked(!) to the game. -
It can be really effective against locker jukes. I love when they think they escape insta down and find out I have Iron Maiden.
-
Sorry about that. What I tried to say is if you run kindred it should activate not only when you are on the hook but also other survivors get hooked too.NoShinyPony said:@antgnstea said:

I read your thread actually. But tbh didn’t find the token system all that helpful. And also why I have to disagree on passive skill right now is if killers stay like this a basekit kindred would be very powerful against themEntità said:Kindred should become a passive skill, and the actual perk should be reworked, to bridge, at least partially, the gap between Solos and SWF. If they fixed the end game hatch situation, sure. Currently it's heavily abused already by people just DC'ing to give the hatch. Why it is so important to have 4k and not the last survivor getting the hatch? If you find the the guy before he finds the hatch good if not he leaves and you move on the next game. You even get 2 pip even if last one escapes through hatch. So why slug and take 3 people’s time?
P.s. I am genuinely curious no sarcasm or salt intended.
Because the hatch is a free undeserved escape. The equivalent of this would be you powering all gens and right as you open the gate you just automatically fall over dead. That doesn't sound fair does it. That's basically what the hatch is.
And how you judge someone deserves or not to escape? I had games against solo survivors where one of them doing gens as much as possible, looping, unhooking while others drop like flies. And you’re saying just because that person matched with 3 bad survivors he/she doesn’t deserve to have a chance to escape. And that’s what I see hatch as; a chance to escape. You can still get them before they find it.
Yes, that is what I'm saying. It's a team game. You aren't accomplishing your goal solo. To get them before they hatch you would literally have to find them way away from the hatch and get 2 hits in before they reach it. You realize how unlikely that is? That scenario is only happening if the survivors screws up tremendously or is a rank 20.
I just waited last guy to find the hatch for 5 minutes. If I slugged would it made it sooner? I don’t know. I wish there was a way they find it sooner though. -

I had similar worries when I first started. They go away the more you play. My advice would be don’t overthink. Nobody playing this game is perfect. Everyone make mistakes time to time. The important thing is try to learn from them. Also watching good streamers might help too.
