ive probably camped some of you before. But I’m rank 1 in both before reset, so maybe you’ve killed me before. -
I’ve made a thread on this before as well. I won during the PS4 tourney and gave my info. I asked if I could use my XBL GT and was told yes, that you could win and be awarded on any platform. How do I find out about my prize?
@not_Queen -
Fred is the only killer I really hate playing. Depending on my mood, if I hear his lullaby I’ll just nope the ######### out of the match. If i am the obsession and it’s Fred, I’m out, because I don’t run obsession perks so I know he’s going to have Remember Me and is just going to tunnel and camp to build his stacks.
Im in the red ranks on Xbone and you play a ton of Billy. I don’t hate him yet but it gets annoying with how low his skill floor is and how broken BBQ can make him.
In over 1,000 hours on Xbone I’ve run into maybe 3-4 great Nurse players so I don’t care about her. -
Killer:
On Xbox most games are typically 2-4 player SWF, so I patrol hooks pretty closely because I know fools will be overly altruistic.
Dstrike or constant looping = you’re getting camped.
All NOED all the time.
As Survivor:
Gen rush.
I don’t run any exhaustion perks outside of Adrenaline sometimes.
Never run Dstrike.
All WGLF all the time but only safe rescues. -
When did they actually confirm another double BP event? I know they said there’d be another BP event after the ######### show during the last one, but how do we know that wasn’t the summer BBQ event?
Im not saying they didn’t, I’m genuinely curious and would love to see concrete talk from them about it. -
Where/when was this confirmed?Th3Nightmare said:@Well_Placed_HexTotem said:

Um, were getting another double BP? Is this confirmed?
-
I will tunnel and hard patrol anyone who last second switches, and then when they die first with at most a couple thousand BP scored I will message them asking if the last second swap was worth it. Im yet to have anyone say yes.
Gotta fight toxicity with toxicity. -
There’s a whole segment of the community who strive to grief the killer as much as possible. They call it being “toxic”. Funny enough, these are usually the most salty survivors youll come across when they die.
But yeah, for an asymmetrical competitive game, the 4 side doesn’t need much to overpower the 1 side, which is backwards. And yeah, friends can party up and use voice chat, which basically turns one gem Thanos into six gem Thanos.
-
The Restraint add ons are my favorite ones for Doctor, they are massively powerful. Yeah they don’t track movement and they can be run through to lane them disappear, but an alert Doc will know where you are. I practically never have the last survivor get hatch as Doc because Restraint tells me where everyone is. My goal before I even start trying to hook is to get everyone in Madness 2 so that they are permanently tracked.
Id agree it’s very strong and makes stealth literally impossible. -
How do you deserve an escape, when you didn’t even open a gate? The killer had 3 perks working while you guys fixed all the gens. He didn’t get a 4k “because of one gen”, he got a 4k because you didn’t play the end game very well, and the other guy was overly altruistic.SovererignKing said:
Thank god someone else said it as well. I wouldn’t mind DS if the game was balanced for it. NOED... well... I don’t think I’d ever agree with that perk. Suddenly flipping the game like that is kind of cheesy.Mr_Jay_Stark said:I mean I could write a whole wall of text regarding this but no one will read it so I’ll just say I don’t think it’s necessarily the perks that are the problem I believe it’s the mechanics of the game that’s the issue.
Sorry for posting it again but : https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=hwMKJtVdFeY
This Huntress had plenty of time without Gen Rush to do well. I did break two totems and was anticipating NOED. I’m sure the rest of my team broke at least two themselves. So because we missed one totem some where, this Killer went from maybe a 2k if he camped that last guy out to a 4K. Never mind he played terrible (You can watch, I had eyes on him the whole match.) He couldn’t land hatchets at all and missed swings like crazy. Me and the 3 other Survivors got cheated out an escape we deserved. All because of one perk.
Not to mention this “crutch perk” the killer was using can be disabled before it even has a chance
of activating just by you guys cleansing totems. You
failed at that, you paid the price. That’s why I run detectives hunch, I routinely cleanse 3-5 totems per match JUST to avoid NOED. You cleaned two and you assume your teammates cleaned two, but they could just have easily have cleaned zero. I have seen many flat out ignore the totems.
You could have sat near the door and waited for Huntress to check it and leave instead of just going
for it right away. And the other guy could have gotten closer to you to avoid BBQ and tricked Huntress by rescuing you first instead of the other guy but he went right for the other hook, which is what every killer expects.
NOED is great for catching unsuspecting survivors off guard and turning the tide of a match, but it’s entirely limited to end game, and is instantly rendered irrelevant by cleansing totems or SWF. -
Camp whoever you want for whatever reason you want.
-
There’s a lot they need to fix before worrying about perks like DS, Insidious, and NOED.
-
Cool? Game has issues but I’ve never understood why marth is placed on some pedestal. His experiment was pointless and flawed, and it’s always been weird to see or hear him ripping on issues with the game, all while he routinely decimates survivors on his streams.
Ans im sorry but, “a survivor can 1v1 a killer” uh what? Maybe a baby killer in their first game. -
Or, achievements can give fans of a game new ways to play a game they’d be playing anyway. I have over a thousand hours on the game on Xbone and probably 30 hours on PC. I didn’t even start going for achievements until a couple weeks ago. If they weren’t in the game, I’d still be playing.thesuicidefox said:@Tombstone218 said:
Protip: (again) Your opinions aren't universal and you obviously did not take anything from my last message into consideration. They could be playing the game and just want the achievements as a side thing. And if they did buy the game for achievements then who are you to judge? You're some ######### on a video game forum, go find a new hobby.LOL achievements are there to sucker people into playing the game more than they normally would. It's not an opinion, it's basic psychology. I've seen people waste hundreds of hours to get achievements in games they don't even enjoy just for the sake of getting them all. If you wanna support that kind of BS go ahead.
Your opinion on achievements is fine, but the negativity, anger, and douchebaggery regarding DbD achievements is unwarranted. This isn’t one of those games where people can pick it up for a quick 1000GS. They’re grindy and require a good time investment. Idgaf if an achievement is grindy or hard. Huntress has one where you have to throw 1,000 hatchets. Pig has one where you have to attach 150 traps. There’s one for making a killer miss and then vaulting 50 times. Open 100 chests. Open 35 gates. Chainsaw 100 people with LF. Etc etc. But those are fine because they come naturally while playing. This one doesn’t just change your play style but makes you actively try to lose.
On PC where Huntress is infinitely easier to use, it’s 20 downs. On console where aiming is much tougher, 100. Doesn’t make sense. -
What’s broken about it?
-
Or when they die having never even tried to flashlight save even when they had ample opportunity and you see post game it was a purple flashlight with ultra rare bulb it’s like why even bother?
-
Got damn Tinkerer just became incredible.
-
If I’m killer and the survivor finds the hatch then they win, oh well. I’ve had a chance to stop them from finding it and I failed.
lol @ removing hatch. Nah. If I’m on a garbage team and there are 3 gens left then give me a shot at hatch. -
No thanks.
It might suck to play against a 4 man SWF sometimes, but it’s better than other online games I’ve invested hundreds of hours into this gen like Evolve and Battleborn which are now ghost towns online. And that’s what DbD would become, because no killer would opt in to SWF. And then the survivor pool would dramatically drop.
-
Meh, Tru3 didn’t play well, those survivors played optimally and deserved the win. I say that as a killer main who knows this game is a broken mess balance wise.
Doesnt change the fact that Tru3 made a lot of poor plays resulting in his demise. -
People do it on Xbox too.
Most bizarre thing I ever saw was on Red Forest this Clown player was terrible all game, only got one down and didn’t even hit anyone else. But the connection was great, no issues. We pop the last gen and suddenly the game is unplayable laggy, killer teleporting everywhere. We’re unable to do hook rescues, heal, or open the exit door the lag is so bad. He got all four of us. Blatant manipulation.
Reminds me of playing Madden online on PS2, people used to fire up torrent programs on their PC right as you were lining up for big field goals and it would kill the connection with brutal lag, making you miss. -
Of course they're an issue. Many times they spawn right next to survivors, who can then cleanse them before you even have time to make it over.
-
Idk if we won auric cells or shards but I haven’t received either yet @not_Queen
-
It gets pretty boring at high ranks because a lot of the survivors know how to loop and I’m not that good with Nurse. Typically I’ll hook someone, BBQ will lead me to someone else, my Ruin pops while I am chasing person two (usually the obsession) and I end up getting looped by this person for a long time, so much so that I end up triggered and tunnel this person when they get unhooked.
So we’re at end game and I have one kill. I then rely on NOED to get another survivor hooked and then hope for over altruistic teammates. Survivors complain that I use NOED, but it works, especially against good loopers.
Its pretty meh in high ranks as survivor, too. Too many BBQBillys and a lot of camping. -
Did you hook the person and immediately run to the other side of the map and face a wall? No? Well then you’re a piece of ######### camper.
I was literally called a face camper last night because I hooked a guy then the gates got powered on so I stayed near the hook patrolling it and a door. You cannot please salty survivors unless you go out of your way to give them every chance to win. This dude ran up, knowing I was near, got downed (NOED FTW), hit his Little Dick Perk (dstrike, he wasn’t the obsession so I had no idea he had it, those are the most triggering) and I still caught him again and hooked him and he showered me with salt.
Played a 4 person SWF earlier in the night and as I am carrying one to the hook two of the other ones are swarming around me. I hook and there are scratch marks everywhere... why would I leave? They end up getting 1 gen done and all die. Of course I get messages saying I’m trash and a camper. Of course this SWF group had four sprint burst, four self care, and four dstrike.
You even get salt from survivors as a survivor. I was on Coldwind Saturday night and got downed by a LF. He took me all the way to the basement and then was face camping (he ended up being a butt hurt killer who was butt hurt that I’d escaped him the match before this). Anyway, the other three survivors pop two gens and then all three rush the hook. Two get downed, I get rescued and put into BT bleedout, LF tunnels me. All four of us die, all of them ended up getting downed doing that stupid rescue. One of them messages me after the game literally upset and blaming me for what happened because I got hooked in the basement. -
So you just run Calm Spirit all the time in case you maybe get a Doctor? lol
He was my first killer I main’d on Xbox. But on some maps with some add ons and offerings, he’s just stupid and the counters won’t work.
Plus even on the other maps, it’s luck. If you’re the first person sent into madness, he might focus you until you’re in madness 3 and then you’re boned all match.
I prefer to out everyone into stage 2 then I start attacking. After that it’s impossible to hide. -
Yeah there are counters to BBQ, but sometimes you don’t have the option to use them. Depending on the map and killer, your only hope is that when the killer dashes or blinks over, they’re terrible and can’t find you.Tsulan said:@Well_Placed_HexTotem said:

This here. You realize BBQ was made to incentivize not camping right?
lol come on now, someone dumb enough to basement camp with Insidious is going to do it whether they have BBQ or not.
I play both sides, I think the main problem with BBQ is the same as Tinkerer, sure it helps certain killers, but it can be too strong on others. Yeah it’s great for Leatherface or Trapper to let them see where they should go next. But on killers like Billy or Nurse or even Huntress it almost breaks them because it’s so good.
I wish they they could somehow tweak it so BBQ isn’t as strong on some killers as others. I love the BP boost, but it makes Billy games so easy.
Survivors could use their Sprint Burst to run into a different direction, after BBQ triggered.
Everything is better than hiding on the same spot.
Neither Billy nor the Nurse can cover the 40 meters in 4 seconds. They can approach the spot, but survivors still have enough time to evade them.
Its fine on killers who need to walk over and find you. It’s broken on killers who can just zip across the map or fling an axe across the map.
And yeah, we’re talking 2, maybe 3 of the killers out of what... 12? But Billy is incredibly common because he’s so easy to use and effective. -

I would imagine pulling your plug during loading should make survivors need four gens instead of five? And it won’t show up right away, but you do depip from it. That’s about as close as you can get to losing pips without screwing people over and even then, you’re screwing them over. I mean, survivors are a team, you’re basically trying to be so bad that the game punishes you for it. How can you not be screwing others over at that point?
-
Too many of you feed the troll. Don’t give it attention and it retreats to its cave in his mother’s basement.
-
Well, rank clearly matters. You say it yourself in the video, when you’re describing learning Nurse at rank 1. You say something along the lines of how unfun it is to learn her at that rank. If rank is irrelevant, then why would it be so bad to learn her at rank 1? It should be equally unfun to learn at rank 10, or 20. But it isn’t, because rank in general DOES matter. Now, it doesn’t always matter, but it does clearly matter.
Also, no, not all killers are equal. Sure, in the hands of someone who has mastered lower tier killers such as Fred or Hag, they might be viable. But other killers will always be better. Saying Hag isn’t viable at high ranks doesn’t mean no one can ever have a good match. It’s just not typical.
And yeah, sometimes opponent mistakes do come into play. And they can be the reason for a win or loss in a match. Not always, but it does happen. -
At this point it’s clear he’s either delusional or just a troll, either way I’d just ignore him. Without attention he’ll move on.AshleyWB said:
Unhooking twice is siding with the killer especially so when the killer ignores them and keeps downing the survivor who was hooked. Happened to EVERY survivor apart from the one doing the unhooks. It is a bannable offence and I have to question your logic if you think you can defend that kind of behaviour. All together it was 6 unhooks in front of the killer who just ignored him. That clearly is siding with the killer. And another thing when I say the only points they got were for the unhooks then I MEAN THE ONLY POINTS THEY GOT WERE FOR THE UNHOOKS zero objective points compared to my 2 gens and a hex totem destroyed. There is no other way, and they can’t do anything to console users anyway. The worst that person will get from numerous reports is a “needs work” or “avoid me” status on their profile, which doesn’t affect matchmaking in DbD anyway. So it’s literally worthless to report someone in DbD on console.

That's unfair like why do they get a 2nd double bp weekend for nothing because PC has this one, Xbox has this one and EU PS4 has this one and NA PS4 only gets 1 for the new chapter. Like what?
Xbone players have had to put up with a lot of bullshit, too. During the last event we had horrific amounts of crashes and lost loads of items, rank, offerings, and bloodpoints. We deserve some extra love, too.

I run into this with two people on Xbox all the time. It’s to the point where if I see one of them in a lobby, I leave, because the other is likely killer.
The games play out the same way. The killer hooks their friend and waits for someone to save. When they save they get tunneled. Friend farms them on the hooks. Friend leads killer to other survivors.
One time I was on the swamp and the killer kept downing their friend so the friend could tell them where the survivors were. I juked the **** out of her multiple times then she kept inching closer to closer to me, clearly getting direction from the friend. She downed me, picked the friend up and spun until he wiggled off. I killed myself on the hook.
I had a match last week where immediately upon joining all three survivors sent me a party invite. I didn’t join. Game starts and they lead the killer right to me. I make the killer chase me for a long time. So long that the other survivors start helping the killer by bodyblocking me as I ran around. Got farmed and tunneled and died. Sure enough, killer was a friend of all three survivors.
I just make mental notes notes of these degenerates and get my revenge when we meet up again. -
On Fred I’ll run Knockout and Thanawhatever for some slug fun. On others I’ll sometimes pair NOED with Blood Warden for some devastating end game fun.
Survivor, I run Detectives Hunch always. I make it my mission to try and make sure all totems are gone. And it never fails that when I can only find four, that last one was never cleansed and the killer has NOED.
I’ve seen survivors ignore totems in a match. I don’t get it. -
It’s on my list of things I’ll make you pay for if I catch you doing it.
