  • Not every killer needs to be at Nurse's power, but every killer should be viable.

Every killer is viable. You can win with any killer. The matches against elite talented survivors are not super common. As easy as it is to rank up, bums are filling the red ranks.

Tournament and competitive play will always be loaded with the most broken elements of any game. Personally I welcome another unique killer that requires a challenge over someone like Billy that can easily dominate a match with very little skill required.

But they’re fun to use. I could main Billy or Nurse on Xbox and destroy, but I find them boring.

Im sorry but your could to maintain good fps on nurse and destroy players, please tell me more on how you could do this

There are a few great Nurse players on Xbone.

    All it takes is practice.

No one complains about OP/ UP guns in shooters, and they never get reworked, nope. Never happens in any of the CoD/BF games.

Capcom also never listens to fan/pro feedback, balancing characters to try to make them all viable. Because of this, SFV is definitely not one of the best balanced SF games of all time. As a serious side note, most of the DLC chars in SFV are mid-top tier with several of them occupying the top spots.

Every genre you've listed has frequent balance patches when necessary, barring the game dying off.

The only thing worse than trying to justify things with blanket statements is being blatantly ignorant in the process.
And yet there are always guns in every class of every shooter that are inferior to other guns. There are always characters in every fighting game that just aren’t as good or accessible as other characters.

And yeah, some of the SFV DLC is mid tier at best, just proves my point. And yet people will still use those characters.

Not every killer needs to be Akuma or Cammy.

Have fun versing Nurses and Billies 24/7 when you get out of the scrub ranks.
I play on consoles (Xbox mostly) with a little bit of PC time, I guess maybe on PC there might be more tryhards who only use the most powerful killers, but on Xbox the high ranks are chock full of all killers. Nurse is probably the least popular because she’s so doodoo on consoles.

If anything in high ranks on Xbox it’s the survivors who rely on the tryhard setups. P3 female characters with adrenaline, flashlights, dstrike, SC, exhaustion perk, BT, the SWF factor is strong.
  • Bottom line is, if you have to make stupidly powerful killers to be able to counter survivors, then I think either killers need buffs to put everyone in S tier as nerfs are never fun for anybody. Or survivors need some serious nerfs.

Though I prefer killer buffs because I play survivor as well and if anything I do takes any longer than it already does, survivor will not be fun at all to play. Survivors need to be fast as they are, and killers need to be able to keep up.  The only killer in the game that has an unrelenting presence is Myers. Evil Within III is the scariest part of the game no doubt.
The only problem I see with this is that there is a very large gap between survivors who can poop on and “bully” a good killer versus the majority of the survivor pool. Most of these play in SWF. How do you nerf a SWF problem but leave survivor viable for solo players? I play survivor solo. Any major nerf to survivors would hit solo players like myself very hard.

At the same time buffing all killers will also make it very hard for solo players to enjoy the game. Maybe they could somehow nerf survivors or give killers a buff of varying levels depending on how many survivors are SWF. But even then, say three are SWF, that sucks for the one random survivor.
  • Exactly, however they need to be powerful enough to keep up with all 4 survivors because if not they'll get destroyed. I main Freddy and he's considered the weakest killer in the game but I main him because I have fun playing as hin you know. Same with Pig, i love playing her.
Yeah I know a few Pig mains. I find her boring though. I love Freddy and get destroyed sometimes but he’s fun to use.

If we’re basing the effectiveness on perks on how scrub players use them then there are no problems with any perks.

Of course that becomes a problem when you hit high rank and play good players and in particular SWF.

This team was Rank 1. And so am I.

I'm merely stating Decisive Strike hasn't been a problem for me, ever.

    Rank is irrelevant.

And if this is your typical DS experience then it’s no wonder it’s not an issue.

    It's typical.

    Then you play cupcakes.

Then it's not the perks problem.

So then we’re back to square one, where you’re trying to base a perks effectiveness off how the worst players utilize them. Fortunately after what happened to Freddy, the devs don’t share your flawed logic process anymore.

  • They’ll never balance around SWF. That’s where a large bulk of their player base is. The game has been out for a couple years and they haven’t even blocked survivors from seeing the killers perks or addons in the post game screen.
  • He looks fun to use, that’s all I care about. Not every killer needs to be S tier.

It wasn’t a serious post kiddo.

Also I know it’s coming. I have 2021 cleared out ready to go.

It's not out yet on PC. Only on PTB Server. The patch hasn't actually released for the actual PC game yet.
And as far as I know the devs said that PTB on console doesn't work, as of now at least.

PUBG has a PTB on Xbox. Probably other games too, idk.
  • Still survivor on console, especially with the high amount of SWF.

ive been running a new Hag build lately, no BBQ or Ruin, it’s amazing how fast the gens go.

Piss poor optimization also helps the survivors. Killers have much less room for mistakes and are much more pressed for time. Chasing someone and mind gaming them or timing a swing right to get a sure hit only to be pooped on by a frame crash really screws killers over. It happens to survivors too but not nearly as often and it’s not as damning to survivors.
  • I enjoy the Resilience/Botany combo with a good med kit. You can heal mid-chase, or heal 99% and get a bonus doing gens or healing others.
  • What’s this “camera flick for free hits” thing?

Also id put LF S tier just because he has absolute hook domination. If someone pisses you off or is a douchebag you hook them and they aren’t getting off the hook.
  • If you’re on death hook, sure.
If that survivor farmed you or didn’t do ######### all game, sure.

Early this morning i went down rescuing this dude near an open gate. Before the killer even hooked me he was already out of the gate. His SWF teammate made a dumb play trying to rescue me and got snatched off the rescue. Killer took him across to a different hook, I Kobe’d off and ran out of the gate.

    My reasoning:

    1. His SWF teammate left
    2. I was hurt with no self care
    3. I was on death hook
  • You can delete NOED yourself.

    Just do totems.
  • They haven’t even fixed something as simple as dead survivors knowing all of the killers perks and add-ons. Good luck with this.
  • Did the escape charts shown during the stream account for rank at all? Because survivors before like... blue ranks are usually pure poopoo. Hell as easy as it is to rank up as survivor now, even many high rank ones are doodoo.

High level play dealing with crutch perks and SWF and instant heals, I’d be interested in seeing those escape rates lol.
  • I’m RonCod on Xbox, I’ve faced the same thing you’re referencing from the same group of people. But I deserve some of it because I myself have bullied or played like a “scumbag” against a couple of these people. You have too, I’ve seen it. Their pity party brigade is kind of pathetic, but you aren’t innocent in it all.

Personally I don’t see what they can do because any potential fix just opens the door for abuse of said fix. If you can report people for these things and get them banned, you think people won’t report you for it? It’s like when reports used to destroy your XBL rep and make you unable to matchmake in other games, survivors would mass report you
    for perceived slight or offense.

If people are threatening your family or threatening you with hacking attacks then that’s an issue for Microsoft. BHVR can’t even ban cheaters and lag switchers on PC, what can they do to console users? Also can you link this reddit thread? It’s probably a good read.
  • I can’t imagine no Ruin, yeah it sucks sometimes when it’s cleansed quickly but the gen rush without it is horrific.
  • It’s nice to have the extra challenge, and yeah, they play way too altruistic. I just finished a match on Xbox against four rank 1 SWF survivors, two of them bring in keys and one brings in a map. They play a Springwood offering, where 99% of the time the hatch spawns in one of two spots.

As soon as I saw the map offering I knew how I would play it. I chose Doc because the 4th guy had a flashlight. The first person I hooked I planned on keeping a close patrol on, and it worked. Two of the others came near and I got them to tier 3 madness and hit them. Chased one a ways off and the dude got unhooked. Tunneled him down and hooked him again. Two more came near again so I swatted them away, third cleansed my Ruin. Dude dies on hook as I’m chasing one, down her and it’s basement time. They’re so desperate to get gens done they don’t even bother to try and rescue until they’ve popped two gens but by then I’m on one of them and hook him across the map. The last one decides to rescue the one hooked just then instead of the basement, she goes down shortly after unhooking, I hook her. Last dude alive is near the hook trying to snap out of it, I chase him and of course he’s going to try to unhook before i can down him but he has no chance. ez 4k.

Some SWF groups would have left the first dude hooked to die and powered through gens. But most are not like that. Of course I got a slew of salty messages about how I played unfair against 4 stack SWF with rainbow map, two purple keys and a green flashlight lol.
  • I’ve long thought there should be some accumulative effect on survivors for being hooked. Like, hooked once, they limp and have an action penalty. Hooked twice, they move as if injured, have an action penalty, and maybe make more noise. All of this can be tweaked and countered via perks.

But it woukd give the killer incentive to spread spread the love around, and give survivors a reason to use something other than SC/DS/AD/exhaustion perk.
  • Can someone link to the closed thread?
  • Any corn map.

    Any swamp.

    Haddonfield.

    Forest.

Most of these are for frame reasons.
  • I got downed in midair after getting unhooked a few days ago.

    https://xboxclips.com/Cpt%20RonCod/34733983-e272-441a-ab1e-111fb6541402

Like everything else in this game, it’s buggy and poorly implemented.
  • Y’all crazy. Refunds? This is BHVR we’re talking about. Them shits will sit in your inventory forever unused.
  • Survivors play because they like to bully killers with their SWF meta. Take it away and a large portion of the playerbase is gone.
  • Xbone rank 1 takes too long to really bother. Like 10 minutes with zero survivors.
  • I ordered a NOED counter guide off of MLGDBDPros.com and it’s worked wonders. Idk the legality of me c&p premium content here for all to see for free, but the guide has been so effective and is so well written, I gotta share. Here is the step by step guide:

    1. Cleanse totems

And that’s it. Well worth the $39 I paid for the guide. The bottoms of the pages even have bonus tips. Page 1 says “Run Small Game” and Page 2 says “Run Detectives Hunch”. It works amazing.
  • Doubt they’ll ever make him fun to play against.
  • SWF does break the game at high level play but the player base would be nothing without it.

360ing causes the killer to lose sight due to weird POV. It also tricks autolock. What this means is it goes the wrong way. Many killer actions can mess survivor up similarly, like standing at certain angles jolts the pallet throw, causing a literal teleport into the killers lap. Killer can easily counter 360’s by going WITH THE BAD AUTO AIM, and swinging so far off they meet the 360. Or y’know, just not be ass at the game and pay attention.

Only excuse is console FPS, and in that case it’s just hardware problems, I’m not gonna limits my self because you don’t own a PS4 pro. A gaming computer user isn’t going to NOT 360 because your playing on a freakin MacBook.

I’ve spent hundreds of hours as killer on a launch Xbox and hundreds on a Scorpio, which is more powerful than a PS4 Pro. It doesn’t make a difference for killers. The frame rates are still #########. 360’s still wreck them.
  • I usually have the bad luck of being near the killer when I’m the obsession so I have little chance of not being found and killed. But if you’re not close to the killer, its not hard to hide and hope someone opens the door.

Its just jarring to load in with no obsession perks and see you’re the obsession. Then you know it’s either Rancor or you’re gonna be tunneled with Remember Me.
  • It’s way easier than it used to be. SWF still makes it way easy for a lot of people to hit high rank but before they updated the emblem system to make it easier for survivors to level up, hitting rank 1 was a pain in the butt for solo players.

But now it’s not hard for anyone to pip as survivor, so as a killer, you run into a lot more players at high rank that aren’t that good.
  • It blows my mind how short sighted the developers are sometimes. How could no one have thought this through.

Meanwhile rank 4 killer main on Xbone here... game is practically unplayable unless i want 15 minute queues that are only going to get worse as the event goes on and survivor mains have no reason to keep playing survivor.

Battleborn has quicker queue times right now than DbD. F’ing Battleborn.
  • I’m rank 6 on Xbone and can’t find any killer matches. It sucks.
  • They destroy the frame rate of killers, some more than others, and some maps are worse than others. Doctor has frame rate issues already. Throw on 360 using survivors and good freaking luck.

And then they wonder why you tunnel them out of the match lol.
  • I’ve heard some of the better streamers claim the female models like Claudette and Meg have smaller hitboxes so it’s easier to make killers miss with them. Plus they do have two of the most meta survivor perks, and Claudette in P3 clothing can life in plain sight.

    Dwight for those dank memes.
  • MM is already trash for killer on Xbox.
  • Wait what, you can’t sabo event hooks?
  • Wait what, you can’t sabo event hooks?
  • My first 5 matches were:

1 - three person game as one person didn’t make it into the game, camping tunneling killer

2 - another three person game another camping tunneling killer

3 - game loaded for about 5 minutes then booted me to post game screen

4 - all four survivors made it in, tunneling killer

5 - only three survivors again, tunneling killer

Luckily the next few went decent even though the killers were still tunneling. Holy ######### Sloppy Butcher seems to be the new meta.

Im not a fan of this event style in terms of the BP bonus. If you have characters at level 50, you have to spend a massive amount of BP to generate a new web and get another event offering. Let us play the offerings to spawn more hooks and nectar things but give everyone the bonus regardless of whether they play the offering or not.
  • Wow you can get killer matches? I’m just a rank 6 on Xbone and I haven’t been able to get a single survivor in my lobbies since the event started.
  • @Fibijean ok thanks, so I had it pretty much right. People are upset that such a small amount of the cosmetics are available to be earned by playing. I can see both sides but since this is BHVR we’re talking about and they have such stupid cosmetic prices I’m gonna side with the people upset about this.

Seems silly that they’d limit your nectar amount or whatever.
