And? What’s so special about it? Just repair the other gens.Radiant said:Guys, remember that there is a gen up there... -
I think that Alert should have a cooldown. Other than that, it’s fine.
-
This is a good change. Now you can’t run up there to avoid being hooked and act like you’re some kind of god. You’ll have to get good and stop worshipping some creepy manchild.
-
It really isn’t. Survivors still have the upper hand, both in-game and in the minds of the devs. They just made hook saves take zero skill in two patches (2.2.0 and 2.3.0) and decided against nerfing Decisive Crutch.
-
Something that I didn’t see you mention about the Chaser penalty is that it messes with Hag and Trapper. Those Killers now cannot guard the hook effectively without losing Emblem points. Remember being able to place a trap near a hook and then surprise a Survivor either by teleporting to them with Hag or holding them in place so you can get another hook as Trapper? Well guess what, those times are gone.
-
This is the best thing about this patch.
-
It’s just one change to a perk that is easily countered. Did you not notice all of the other changes that are Survivor-sided?
-
Never. I will show you no mercy.
-
I never sabo event hooks. I had a ritual during the Lunar event to sabo two hooks and whenever I found an event hook, ran past it.

Wait the bans are happening? Got any proof of this?redsopine1 said:Sorry I got of topic but tff the bans are coming in -
I can’t wait for the bans to start happening (I’m on PS4), but I’m terrified that the queue times will increase because of all of the players being banned. Maybe players could be banned for the more serious offenses, but only give a warning (or just say nothing) to the players who have committed less serious offenses.Dragonredking said:@DeadByFlashlight said:

Since it seem that you intend to ban people for stuff done before the ban system was fully implemented, I can't wait.
This is going to be glorious
This will be a gigantic shitstorm if thats actually the case because until the system is finally finished most of the players who will receive punishments have gathered so much offenses already that it will be an instant perma bann
Also dont fool yourself about the bann system, because even on PC it doesnt stop players from comiting all kind of bannable offenses
Hooo don't worry I know, I'm not even a console player, but having people that ruin other people enjoyment of the game finally getting the shaft and the chaos that will ensue when the first ps4 ban will be made will still be really enjoyable.
-
It seems like they want the Survivors to be the strong side and be able to easily bully the Killer and they want the Killer to have to struggle to have an enjoyable experience. If they don’t, then why are Survivors still much stronger than Killers and why hasn’t anything been done about event hooks being sabotaged.
-
Is the new ban system for console going to be implemented when the event starts? I thought it was going to be released in December with the console optimization patch.
-
@not_Queen said:
I can confirm that we are working on getting the ban system to consoles. Sadly, I cannot give an ETA as to when it will be activated. As for leaves, players do not have to use the report system to report them. Our system is logging every information linked to leaves and disconnects. We are already gathering the data and information. All we need is the ban system to be implemented on both console.
I don't know if you can can answer this yet, but if someone did something that is bannable (like if they disconnected too many times or they knowingly abused an exploit) would they get banned when the ban system is implemented? Like, if I was to do something bannable today, would I get banned the day the console ban system is implemented or would I have to repeat the action in order for the new system to pick it up and ban me?
Also, how will you guys be able to tell if someone unknowingly found an exploit apart from someone purposefully abusing one? I don't think it would be fair for someone to unknowingly use an exploit (like if they discover it for the first time) and then get banned.
-
Surveillance should just be Wraith’s All-Seeing “Spirit” add-on. We can change Wraith’s add-on to something else.
Left Behind should not heal you one health state because that just makes it easier for the last Survivor to get the hatch, which is already a free escape for Survivors. -
Iron Grasp and Agitation to get to event hooks faster.
Hangman’s Trick in order to fight the toxic Survivors who sabo the event hooks.
Fourth perk is your choice. I would bring Ruin or BBQ. -
Another one:
Trapper can arm traps that are on the ground without having to pick them up. I don’t understand why he can’t arm a trap without having to pick it up. -
Isn’t there a bug that’s making red rank queues take upwards of 30 minutes? Maybe that’s why your friend is deranking. If the bug hasn’t been fixed, then I’d say it that was an unfair ban. Your friend was trying to have a chance to play the game, unless BHVR thinks it’s fine to sit in queues for over 30 minutes.
-
That Survivor is at rank 20 because they either used an exploit to get to rank 20 (it is impossible for the rank reset to bring you down to 20 if you have gotten past rank 15. The lowest it can take you is rank 17) or they played a lot of Killer and put their bloodpoints into their Survivors.

and
Wraith is a mid-tier Killer now. He doesn’t need nerfs, and neither does his Ultra Rare add-on. Coxcombed Clapper can easily be countered by looking around. You can still see him while he’s uncloaking. Pretty hard to miss a big glowing object that’s in front of you. -
This is exactly what I do. I’ll act like I didn’t see them, but when I get close enough, I’ll swing at them. I’m very surprised that I haven’t gotten any hacker accusations from that.Zarathos said:
Or are pretending they didnt see you by walking at an angle that suggests they dont know where you are so they can immediatly turn around once the gap has been closed a bit and punish.Orion said:I'm going to give away a big Killer secret: Survivors are not as good at stealth as they think they are. Many times when you think you "got away" or "evaded" Killers, the truth is, they saw you and just didn't think you were worth chasing.
-
Either simply Dead by Daylight or All Hail Doctor/Herman. The first title would just be about the game while the second title would be a movie about Doctor being worshipped as a god and the nonbelieving Survivors are trying to destroy him. Spoiler alert: Doctor wins in the end.
-
I don't agree with Leatherface, Spirit, Pig, Clown, and Myers.
Clown should be behind Huntress because while his bottles slow the Survivor, they don't damage them. He still has to hit the Survivor.
Myers should be in A tier and behind Doctor. He suffers from the same weakness that every Killer except Nurse has, which is that it's easy to loop him. It's harder when he's at EW3, but still easy. If you stay out of his LoS, you can starve him of his Evil Within.
Pig should be at B tier and behind Myers. It is really easy to not have your RBT activate and simply looking around will help you when she's crouched.
I'd place Spirit somewhere in A tier (not sure where exactly, probably somewhere around Doc or Myers). The fact that you can hear her when she's phase walking makes it harder for her to sneak up on a Survivor and it's easier to mindgame her (run toward her husk in order to make her think that you're hiding somewhere). If she could see blood while phase walking I'd be more inclined to put her at high A tier or low S tier.
Leatherface can actually hit people without having to wait 3-9.5 seconds, so I would put him above Freddy (still in C tier).
-
I came in here expecting something completely different.
What I found was even better.
-
The old 5% generator repair penalty for Devour Hope could come back once that hex is cleansed.
-
Doctor with BBQ, Unnerving, Distressing, Overcharge, Ruin, and Nurse’s. Pretty sure everyone Survivor in the universe will hate me.
-
Trapper: Either the Trapper Bag or the Stitched Bag add-on
Wraith: “The Hound” - Soot
Nurse: You can now toggle Plaid Flannel on and off
Myers: Boyfriend's Memo
Doctor: "Order" - Class I, either Moldy or Polished Electrode, and Maple Knight can be toggled on and off
Leatherface: The Beast's Marks and Award-Winning Chili
Freddy: Z Block, either the dream transition reducing part of Red Paint Brush or Unicorn Block, Paint Thinner,
Nancy's Masterpiece, and maybe Pill Bottle and Class Photo (only the aura-reading part of Class Photo)
Pig: Combat Straps and Rule Set No.2
Spirit: Father's Glasses and maybe Prayer Beads Bracelet
-
I think that the Cypress Mori should activate when the gates are powered or only allow you to kill the Obsession. Being able to Mori the last Survivor should be part of the Killer's base kit.
-
I like this rework. I’m not the biggest fan of having the Survivor escape instead of staying on their shoulder. I like how you have to charge up the perk in order to get the escape. It’s not a free escape anymore.
-
Either this or increase his movement speed while charging up the shock.
-
It’s because they knew that the crybaby Survivors would attack at full power again, and would rather keep them happy instead of just telling them to get good. This change would have fixed DS and should’ve happened.
-
Lol this is either bait or a new/bad Survivor.
If this isn't an attempt bait and you are new/bad at Survivor, then Doctor is really easy to counter.
- Hiding in lockers stops your Madness from increasing.
- Skill checks are really easy to hit, even with Madness active.
- I'm pretty sure crouching slows your Madness gain.
- You can also dodge his Shock Therapy pretty easily.
-
This has happened to me before. It's BS and needs to be fixed. Do the devs want to Survivors to basically have a second DS?
-
I've been wondering the same thing myself. I've been leaning towards yes on LF, but I'm not sure if I want to use Ruin or PGTW instead (My current LF build only has one perk to slow the game down, which is Overcharge). As for Billy, I can't decide between Enduring or Whispers and PGTW or Ruin (Billy's mobility helps make PGTW effective but it only works for one gen and I only have 30 seconds to use it while Ruin has a permanent effect but it's a hex perk and can easily be destroyed).
-
Doctor because I thought he was fun during the free weekend back in September 2017. I also thought his power was pretty cool.
-
Doctor’s Iridescent King.
-
Whenever a Survivor thinks I’m going to take them to the hatch and then they start wiggling when they realize that I’m taking them to a hook.
-
Patch 2.2.0 was BHVR’s way of giving in to the review bombs of patch 2.1.0. They knew that they couldn’t nerf the Killers they had just buffed or undo anything else, so they released a patch that makes it even easier for Survivors to bully the Killer and escape.
Most of the unhooking changes were not needed. I get what they were trying to accomplish with them (help combat farming), but the way they did it gives Survivors unnecessary buffs. Any Survivor can now unhook in the Killer’s face without fear of being injured or downed. Unhooking should be something that you wait for the right moment to do. If they want to combat farming, then the farmer should be the one who is punished, not the Killer. I say make the farmer Exposed when the Killer is nearby for a short amount of time. You think you can farm? Well then you're going down and on that hook while the other Survivor has a chance to hide. On top of that, Survivors should not be able to instantly cancel the unhooking action and should not have any protection if they kobe. If your intent is to farm, then you'll have to hope that the Killer doesn't notice you before you finish unhooking. If you get caught, then you'll be grabbed and put on a hook yourself, whether the other Survivor was successfully saved or not. If you want to kobe, then wait until the Killer is gone. If you kobe while the Killer is nearby, then that is your fault and you deserve to go down again. If you don’t have an opportunity to kobe, then oh well. You’re not entitled to one.
The Bloodlust changes also came with nerfs to infinites, but they weren’t enough. They’ve turned other places into infinites because of the Bloodlust nerf. Heck, at least two of the spots that they said were fixed turned out to still be infinites. With the Bloodlust nerf, it also takes longer to catch Survivors looping at any spot, meaning it’s easier for gens to be completed. If BHVR was going to nerf it, then they shouldn’t have nerfed it so hard.
The Hatch standoff is also the result of crying Survivors. In the 2.0.0 PTB, the Hatch could be closed. There were a few problems with it, such as Survivors hiding the entire game and it was much harder for that last Survivor to repair a gen, but they could’ve been fixed so easily. Just give the Survivor a base Left Behind effect and allow the Killer to see the Survivor’s aura after a certain amount of time has passed. But the devs gave in to the Survivors and changed it to if the hatch was closed then the gates would be powered, still making it really easy to escape. -
If I had to guess, BHVR probably wanted to release the Deliverance fix with this patch, but couldn’t because it was taking longer than expected to fix the bug or their fix messed up something else. They also didn’t want to delay the entire patch just because of one bug.

Except the invincibility lasts much longer than .5-1 seconds. There are videos out there that prove this.Dabrownman1812 said:
Sometimes you have no choice as a survivor to do so. And make the survivor exposed, bruh lol. Free campy downs hell nah. The invincible window is small and I never struck someone in that window, timing. Ya'll used to free downs from farmers. The timing isn't unclear, it's about as long as a dead hard, .5-1 sec.SnakeSound222 said:It should either be removed completely until the bugs have been squashed (and if they can’t, then the invincibility just won’t come back) or they should just make the savior Exposed after a hook save when the Killer is within X meters for X seconds. (llike a reversed version of MYC).
Even if BHVR does not completely remove the invincibility, then they should at least remove it from kobes and they should also not let the Survivor instantly cancel the unhooking action. If you try to unhook or kobe right in the Killer’s face, then that is your fault and you deserve to go down again or get grabbed and go on a hook yourself.
So I take it you enjoy bullying the Killer? It’s only a free down if you decide to be stupid and run in for a save in front of the Killer. And what you do mean by not having a choice? Is this just another excuse to keep the game braindead easy for Survivors? Unhooking yourself and others shouldn’t be something you can do whenever. You should have to wait until the Killer is unable to reach you in time to begin a save or kobe attempt. -

This is amazing! I love this idea! Your changes will make the game balanced and fun at the same time!
-
Doctor, Billy, and Hag because of how fun they are (especially Doctor).
-
Where’s that picture of Dwight wearing Trapper’s mask and the caption says “I’m a Killer main”? It would fit perfectly here.
-
Was Myers in Evil Within 1? If he was, then he has a small terror radius. You won’t hear it until he is right on top of you.
-
Besides the Decisive nerf, I would like see some Killers get buffed so they don’t have to rely on add-ons as much.
Doctor could use either a movement speed buff while charging his shock therapy or the base range could increased. As of right now, the base range of shock therapy is so small and you move so slow while charging it that it’s difficult to shock someone unless you’re really close to them.
Leatherface could use a movement speed increase while charging his chainsaw.
Trapper should be able to arm traps that are already on the ground.
The hook changes from 2.2.0 should be removed at least until the possibility of a free escape is completely removed. Even then, they should only bring back i-frames for when a Survivor unhooks another Survivor. If you kobe or get caught unhooking near the Killer, then that is your fault and you deserve to go down.
Killers will get a BBQ token whenever a Survivor DCs.
MYC will light up when you are outside of the required range for it to activate.
Blood Warden’s timer will now be shown.
This Is Not Happening and Resilience are now a single perk.
Cypress Moris are now a part of every Killer’s base kit. -

Yes, OP, it's broken at the moment. One guy hit the Survivor after they'd already started running and they were still invincible. Naturally, all the Survivor mains support this as it is now.I think the mentioned above video is kinda iffy to say when you put it as a logical viewpoint, but I can see WHY they did it. It's to prevent dull moments that would've continued on if the meg didn't have immunity; but it's broken in the sense where it could end up giving free escapes. So yes, the unfreeing yourself immunity is clearly broken. You should make sure you're stating and making it clear.
The unhook where someone else performs it, the i-frame is not broken. I barely noticed the changes - mainly because I tend to chase and down the unhooker not the unhooked - but regardless if I needed the quick kill, it's barely noticed the I-frame because you actually have to time your hit. Sounds familiar.... like the decently good flashlight nerf that happened where you ACTUALLY have to time the save. Wow! I can't imagine having to try so hard for anything

Aside from sarcasm, it's clear the attempt escape unhook needs tweaking.
Honestly, I think one of two things should happen:
- BHVR removes the i-frames until the possibility of a free escape has been eliminated.
- The unhooker becomes Exposed during the unhooking action in order to discourage Survivors from rushing in for the unhook.
Also, the i-frames should not apply to Survivors unhooking themselves and Survivors shouldn’t be able to cancel the unhooking action instantly. If you kobe/get caught unhooking near the Killer, then that’s your fault and you deserve to go down again.
-
They probably nerfed BL in order to satisfy the Survivors who whined about 2.1.0. Same thing with the kobe and hook rescue cancel changes.
-
The FPS needs a fix on all platforms.
I normally don’t have really bad FPS issues on my normal PS4, but today was different. I was Doctor on Pale Rose and whenever I was in a chase, my FPS was taking hits left and right. I had never seen it that bad. I played Spirit on Pale Rose and I had played a Doctor game on Autohaven later and my FPS wasn’t dropping. I had also played a Doctor game earlier on Coldwind and I didn’t notice any problems. I’m thinking it’s just the combination of Doctor and Pale Rose (or maybe even Grim Pantry) that for some reason decided to mess with my FPS.
