The new change regarding unhooking is incredibly unclear and obnoxious.
So, in this patch, killers cant damage and re-down survivors who get unhooked until they regain control of their character.
Now, disregarding the fact that this change was a huge buff to people doing completely unsafe yolo-saves, and a huge buff to toxic gameplay with people unhooking in your face as the killer, it's also incredibly unclear. If you smack them a second too soon, you get nothing - actually worse than nothing, they get to sprint burst away and you get a fresh chase is what you get.
Can there be like, black fog effect that puffs up around the survivor when we can hit them again or something? Because right now there's no indication of when you can do your job properly again.

The survivor is still invulnerable after he started moving, there is no way you can gurantee a hit after they start moving, especially since exhaustion is reset after the hook and because of that stupidass bodyblocking
The PTB had this right where the attack just ignored the unhooked survivor and damaged the savior. This helped prevent really bad unhooks from being easy to make. The way it is now with the unhooked survivor just tanking a hit is actually ridiculous. And the timing is actually very unclear, I'll wait for the survivor to have their feet touch the ground and they'll still tank a hit.
Given latency issues can make this unclear sometimes, I don't think this is an unreasonable request.
Even if BHVR does not completely remove the invincibility, then they should at least remove it from kobes and they should also not let the Survivor instantly cancel the unhooking action. If you try to unhook or kobe right in the Killer’s face, then that is your fault and you deserve to go down again or get grabbed and go on a hook yourself.
This was completely necessary because it's quite unfair to be downed again before you even get a chance to dodge/escape.
Why is it "unfair" if your teammates do bad plays?
I think it is unfair to rob the killer of his kills.
Right I forget it's fair to be knocked down without a chance, and it's fair to be punished because of your teammates
Just wait an extra second before swinging, seriously I don't get why people are having such a problem with this.
So I take it you enjoy bullying the Killer? It’s only a free down if you decide to be stupid and run in for a save in front of the Killer. And what you do mean by not having a choice? Is this just another excuse to keep the game braindead easy for Survivors? Unhooking yourself and others shouldn’t be something you can do whenever. You should have to wait until the Killer is unable to reach you in time to begin a save or kobe attempt.
How is that crap the killers fault?
Why should the killer get punished for bad plays by your mate?
Just because you feel entitled?
Serious, comments like that make me hate survivor player and go tryhard whenever I can.
Stop. Wait an extra second before hitting
Stop. Wait an extra second before hitting
Stop. Wait an extra second before hitting
Stop. Wait an extra second before hitting
Stop. Wait an extra second before hitting
This is the last I will comment on this tread because you are absolutely ridiculous.
Stop. Wait an extra second before hitting
Stop. Wait an extra second before hitting
Stop. Wait an extra second before hitting
lol
Yea, sure, why not force the killer to adapt instead of telling the survivor to not do stupid unhooks instead.
I get it... #survivorlogic
Survivors should just have passive Borrowed Time when unhooked by a teammate in front of the Killer. Then there would be no issue with Invincibility Frames. Yet another new buzzword(s) for people to get their panties in a bunch with proclaiming its unfairness.
This is going to end up as just another camping whine issue. How do you stop Killers from camping? You do gens.... How do you stop Survivors from not taking a hit when you swing? You wait a second or two.... Simple in explanation, apparently horrendously difficult to actually implement.
I still wish it just acted like it did in PTB where it just hit the savior instead of having the unhooked survivor tank the hit. Being farmed is unfair, but at the same time, the killer deserves something more than a survivor just tanking a hit.
