My most hated maps Arent even on that list. :P
-
Don't feed the camper.
If someone else is doing the bait, I try to rescue.
If not I try to bait, but only once. If he is not chasing me, I just do gens.
-
When being Rey is not enough and you want to be Captain Marvel. XD
-
Survivor boycott… LOL... muarhrhrhrhr...
-
Here we go again… survivor being eager to give up a health state.
This only shows how overconfident most survivor are.
Buffing it so far that it is "worth it" to pick, would totally screw over any killer with a "one-hit"-ability.
-
"Noed is just a free win for people being too stupid doing their objective properly and a punishment for survs who just did their only objective in a proper way. But killer Mains wouldnt ever admit that cause they only care for ez wins."
The killer objective is to KILL survivor.
Protecting gens is a way to achieve that, not THE "objective". (Otherwise 3 gen strats would be a smart idea, praised by the community, right?)
And if Noed triggers, it's the survivors(!) fault for not doing their objective properly, because they ignored TOTEMS. If survivor ignore their 2ndary objectives (totem), they might get punished for it by Noed getting activated.
And last but not least, how is Noed an "ez win"? Does it in any way draw the survivor towards the killer or anything that I missed? The killer still has to find them, chase them, hit them, hook them, right? Maybe he needs to do this with multiple targets, while he has to defend the gates and eventually the hatch and of course the actual Hex. So I fail to see how this is an automatic "ez win".
-
How should that be the killer fault??
Why should a killer drop a chase near the hook?
He can see and protect that sacrifice and keep another survivor busy getting chased and eventually down that guy as well.
So why should the killer make the tactical decision to NOT chase someone near the hook??
The only reason would be artificially FORCE him to with stupid, one side favoring gamemechanics, because your "solution" would just force any killer to give free unhooks.
-
"Noed does generally boost bad killers. Just as ds boosted bad survivors."
This statement is just plain WRONG.
The killers objective is to KILL. Not protect gens.
Survivor shoudl AVOID the killer, not "enjoy the chase".
If Noed is triggering at all is entirely up to the survivor.
If DS -either old or new- is triggering is … not the killers decision.
The new DS only encourages bad plays and unsafe unhooks.
While Noed only punishs lazy survivor.
-
Can we please drop all those Noed debates?
Even the Devs realized that Noed is balanced.
-
"I only post the things I do because I get the stupid stupid stupid teammates that can't do anything. AT ALL"
And again… I can feel your pain… and for sure I do have the same moments… but balancing for idiots ruins the game if the killer is facing a "decent" team.
Balance needs to be top down for ANY pvp game.
-
"That's fine you can stop right there...I kinda figured most killer mains would stop right there..Because they dont know how it feels to be on the other side of it..LOL
I mean its whatever do what you do..But Im just explaining as someone who plays 50/50.
Lol Be that person <3"
I am for sure a killer main, but I do play my fair share of survivor and I KNOW that the game is in favor of survivor.
I play solo and I am mediocre at best as survivor, still I can escape pretty often as long as my team doesn't play like headless chicken.
So I actually do know the "other side", but balancing a game around bad player is just a bad idea, because if you balance for idiots playing survivor, the good survivor player can totally troll any good killer.
And that's what's happening at the moment.
I am a killer main, but I do not play the "top tier killer" (just because I am just bad with them, or I do not like playing them, or a combo of both), so I am stuck with mid tier killer at high ranks and I refuse to limit myself to "just play Nurse".
I hate the Dev statement about "not all killer are meant to be viable" with a passion.
And honestly I really doubt that anybody who plays 50/50 would side with survivor mains on any balance topic.
-
"Now before everyone starts with the "Its a vaild move" I don't care..Don't want to hear it..Don't care about if it is tacit to get kills...I really dont...Now anyways...."
So I stopped reading right there…
You don't care about killers opinions… so I don't feel the need to care about your opinion.
-
Those changes are just some QoL things. The basic flaw of chase time versus gen time is still the same.
Gens could get done in less than 3 minutes. Resulting in 4-5 minute matches and the killer can't do much about it, IF the survivor are decent (not "good", just "decent" is enough).
Decent teams could escape with 3 survivor EVERY game, IF they don't fool around or do stupid over altruistic stuff.
Average killer need survivor to make mistakes to win. Killer need to be waaaaay better/more skillful than survivor to actually "win".
If both sides are on the same skilllevel, the survivor will win.
-
Please someone tell me this thread is bait…
This @harry14141414 guy can't be serious about this:
"you went too far with buffing killers to the point that every single match is now an atrocity. a freaking warzone with killers like legion plague specially … everyone is injured before we even do a single gen ! like how far will you go with helping killers out ? Imagine a perk that blocks gens for 120 seconds then also throw up on the unblocked gens with the add on to make your ######### last 60 seconds on it.. like DEVS ! pls !! wth are we doing ? why so much punishment to survivors??
survivors sitting in corners self caring when sloppy is on …
pls make this game fun for survivor as well …"
Buffing killer? When did that happen?
Legion and Plague are to powerful?
Sloppy Butcher and Corrupt Intervention are an issue?
That's the perspective of a 100 hrs newbie.
The game is still in favor of the survivor and if you can't get a gen done before everyone is injured, you and your team are simply bad.
And btw, getting injured is no measurement at all. Because single hits don't mean anything, as long as no one got hooked, no damage is done to the team.
-
" those perks but to do it in nearly every game has made this game really fkn boring. "
mmh... let me think for a moment… perk diversity… like...
SC, SB, DS for over 2 years? Along a handful of runner ups filling the 4th slot?
-
He treats you like that, because you do not understand the core concept of the game.
It's ASYMETRICAL. The single player (killer) is MEANT TO be powerful. I is MEANT TO win chases (higher speed). Because he is fighting 4 other people.
And that you call looping "smart", only shows where you are coming from.
Looping was unintended and is basically an exploit by definition.
By now it is sanctioned by the Devs, because they do not know how to technically handle it, but it is still an exploit. That's why bloodlust got added, as a band aid fix, because YES, you are NOT "allowed" to stall the chase for that long, because it was unintended.
DBD is known for bugs turning into features (killer reduced Fov or reduced size of beartraps for example).
-
This would make luck way to powerful.
Just bad luck on an important attack would change the entire momentum of the match.
Big NONO.
-
Pick a perk that is already almost meta (4th perk slot runner up) and give it a nice boost against an already weak killer (low mid tier).
Sounds like a well balanced idea, right?
*facepalm*
-
(EU player enjoying memes before we get censored. :P )
-
Some survivor try to misuse the term "crutch" and just label any perk that annoys them as a "crutch".
To lazy to do totems? Noed is a crutch!
Can't power through Ruin and unable to find it? Ruin is a crutch!
Stop by Blood Warden once? BW is a crutch!
Lost your precious item? Franklins is a crutch!
It's basically the same as overusing "insta" and "free". Any hit with a power or boosted by an addon is "free" and anything fast is "insta" (even if it takes to hits).
Misused term are one step away from combat terms like "camping" and "tunneling".
-
"@Wolf74 - maybe taking out of context as have not read what you're responding too perhaps, but a single detection perk that can't be outplayed? Whispers."
Of course Whispers can get outplayed. I have done that a lot of times. Especially if you see the movement pattern of the killer giving away that he is using Whispers.
Whispers only seems powerful if the survivor is hiding in the same spot. Just keep moving, use cover to relocate, every bit helps to make Whispers less precise. It needs the killer multiple times going back and forth in different directions to make a triangulation, that's a lot of time to react and a lot time wasted by the killer.
And especially at the start of the match Whispers isn't that strong anyway, because multiple targets give unclear readings from Whispers. Only versus the last survivor it is really strong.
When I play killer, I only use it to know if I am wasting time in an empty area, but I don't try to pinpoint people, because of what I wrote above. To unprecise, to easy to confused.
Whispers only seems powerful to survivor who never played killer using it themself.

;)

Thx @TreemanXD I know that a lot of survivor mains actually hate me, because I always argue for more balance and that's something they don't like.
They want the game balanced around rank 20 noobstomping and I want the game to be balanced top down like any other pvp game.
Therefore a lot of them feel offended when they are confronted with an opinion outside their comfort zone.
-
"You have a bad rep for a reason so just gonna leave it at that."
Yea, because survivor mains do not like veteran player speaking up against their agenda.
I use simple science, like mathematics, to show the flaws of the core game mechanics and they have nothing but offended feelings and the regular "but bad teammates play bad" routine.
-
"Aven is right just ignore wolf."
I could just say the same about him… or you…
Maybe try arguments.
-
The game right now is favoring survivor, so why not give killer an extra perk slot?
I don't see the issue.
-
For killer only.
4 vs 16 perks is already in favor of survivor
5 vs 20 would make it even worse.
-
On PTB she looked like an upper mid tier killer, maybe even higher.
She was able to chase people and give them a full spray of vile purge for an almost insta broken effect. Kinda like a delayed chainsaw hit.
Now you lose to much time chasing while holding the purge to wait for a good position for a full hit. You lose so much time that it is actually slower than just M1ing them 2 times.
And just give a short burst just for the infection takes waaaaay to long for them to become broken.
A lot of people complained about the fast healing at the fountains, but the Devs choose to keep THAT, most likely because it benefits survivor, but nerf her speed.
Now she is lower mid tier, most likely even lower.
-
Ranking up always was beneficial only to survivor… or better said for SOLO survivor, because you got better teammates in high ranks.
For killer ranking up was always bad.
-
Use SC to heal up = ONE survivor is busy for 32 seconds
Get healed by another survivor = TWO survivor are busy for 16 seconds
So the statement that "SC wastes more time" is a LIE.
You eliminate the need and waste of time to find a mate and can run to any abandoned area of the map without objectives and the killer needs to either drop the chase to protect objectives or give a free heal and no one has to care about you.
Here in the forum only those survivor answer this question that want to tell everyone how unimportant SC is and all those that actually KNOW how powerful it is, keep their mouth shut to avoid the perk getting a balance rework.
Even the Devs admitted on stream that they do not dare balancing the perk, because they are afraid of the community backlash.
-
"It's game changing, no matter how much peoples will try to deny it."
What @Nathan_Explosion said is 100% true.
It is THE most important and overpowered perk in the game.
There is a reason why 84% of all survivor across all ranks and platforms are using this perk.
Unlimited, self sufficient heals, with no need to run around bleeding and mourning, searching for teammates is a gamechanger.
Every time you manage to lose the killer, you get a free heal.
Even if only 2 survivor are left and the other get chases, YOU can heal on your own.
SC is essential to gen rush, because gen rush is most efficient if the survivor spread out and do stuff on their own.
Any single hit on a survivor with SC is basically meaningless.
So yea, pick SC.
-
That's actually a good point that I can understand and support.
-
The whole suggestion sounds like a massiv buff to survivor to me.
-
"In your opinion, which role has access to more Crutch Perks?"
Pretty easy answer: Survivor.
Survivor have 5 crutches.
-Adrenaline: free heal for completing what you have to do anyway
-BT+DS to cover up bad decisions and making unsafe unhooks
-SC self sufficient unlimited heals
-Unbreakable self pick up (not overly powerful, but still crutchy. because you expect to get slugged)
Killer have exactly ZERO crutch perks.
-
So please explain to me (again) what is your issue here?
Because I fail to see how those things are non related and how you put them apart.
Is this all about a band aid fix for red rank players to get lobbies?
I tried rereading your stuff, but it does not become any more obvious to me.
So please elaborate your point.
-
Are you aware that you can't forbid people to discuss things?
Some people -me included- think that these things belong to each other and you can't just cherry pick and say no.
I can't see your reason for this beside you saying "cause I said so".
-
Again… nothing but personal attacks and false assumptions.
It's getting kind of boring by now.
-
I don't think that you can separate this points. They need to get discussed together.
-
"Hook vacuum" is something made up by survivor mains to defend their "pallet vacuum".
It never was a real thing, just animations getting lined up to look smooth.
-
" if they cannot DC anymore, they will simply quit playing"
And here we go again… survivor doublestandards.
Survivor mains complain about lobby dodging killers like crazy and ask for punishments and attacked every killer main that said something along the line "If I am forced to play toxic SWF, I stop playing", but now survivor mains use the same "argument" for their purpose and call it perfectly legit.
-
²paired with the difficulty of obtaining and maintaining red ranks for the average player,"
The "average" player shouldn't be in the red ranks to begin with.
"The new matchmaking pretty much ignored ranks for many lobbies so that wasn't a problem,..."
Which it shouldn't. A MM should pair people of similar skill and knowledge of the game. So ignoring ranks just to fill lobbies is a fail in my book.
-
I like the new pip system.
At least as a killer.
My upranking is slowed down and games when I would usually would get a 2 pip, I only get 1.
So the time I spent in mid ranks is longer and can enjoy the game longer, because I do not hit the toxic red ranks that early.
People could complain that I want "ez matches", but in fact, I myself doubt that I belong in that ranks.
If all of you think that the powerlevel of survivor atm is correct, than I don't belong there. I think survivor are still to strong and that really shows at the high ranks.
Since I do not play the top tier killer (Nurse, Billy, Huntress, Spirit), I am at a severe disadvantage at high ranks and don't want to play there.
The new pip system keeps me at my proper rank (at least for the state of gamebalance that we have now); at least it keeps me there longer.
-
"Moonwalking is an Exploit, Looping is not."
Repeating a LIE doesn't make it true.
Btw... is promoting an ingame banable offense a reportable offense in the forum? (Just curious^^)
-
The reward for playing stealthy is … SURVIVING! XD
But since surviving and escaping doesn't mean anything to "survivor", it is not a reward in itself, which it should.
All the detection perks survivor complain are garbage… name a single detection perk that can't get outplayed or/and is non situational.
-
"No, moonwalking is an exploit it wasn't an ability they gave him and the devs even said it wasn't intended."
Isn't this the very same situation as "looping"?
Aka the abuse of different sized hitboxes.
Looping wasn't intended either and still survivor call it a "feature" now and defend it to death.
-
Strong?
You gotta be kidding me... when?
Her infection takes way to long.
She has a hard time puking on anyone looping her.
She needs to waste time to gain time, by drinking from her fountains after she gave a free insta heal and even then she has to find someone while she has corrupt purge. And survivor see a huge visual clue that she has it and can hide to wait it out.
How is that strong?
-
The broken MM that they now reverted?
My lobby time skyrocketed as killer. I got a bunch of survivor with terrible pings. Either they dodged me or I needed to leave the lobby.
And their ranks had been scattered across the board no matter what rank I had.
-
"Also some randoms are unless and will waste time staring at the camper from afar instead of gen rushing."
And here we go again.
Sorry, but you can't balance a game around people that play just bad.
You can't fix stupid. Imagine what a team of decent playing survivor would do to a killer if everything is balanced for a bunch of people playing like headless chicken.
-
If every survivor just enters the match with the mindset to "cleanse AT LEAST ONE dull totem", you are save from Noed 90% of the time.
14 seconds spent to cleanse a dull totem that you just happen to come across without searching.
That's all. And most of your problems are already gone.
-
So the killer gave you 120 seconds of time to act freely and you still did not manage to escape?
80 seconds a gen + 20 for the gate, so you have still 20 secs left for running around from gen to gen and gen to gate and get out, while
So you played bad, but the issue is Noed?
