  • It matters for survivor players, but not for killer players. The survivor emblems actually do measure their success and engagement in the match, but the killer emblems are an obvious attempt by the devs to encourage killers not to camp, with the killers losing emblem points for remaining near hooked survivors. Meaning, killer emblems measure how effective your are at killer WHILE ALSO playing in the devs preferred playstyle. So it does not measure your actual skill as a killer, it measures your adherence to the dev's playstyle curation attempts.
