“When” is the keyword in that statement. When they don’t and play optimal, it is hard as hell. Unfair even. Though I know you won’t agree with me.

No, they just don't care and still want to have fun with their bully simulator.

How dare you hurting their ego by sacrificing them ?

How dare we hurt your ego by escaping

Hell no. Survivors are overpowered already, they don't need any more broken stuff like instaheals...

Hey! We don't want more instastuff, we just want something more than just a toolbox or medkit. Nothing new in 2 years, I'm sure there's some fun ideas similar to the event firecrackers.

It's not the Killers, it's the mechanics.

She doesn’t ignore any other mechanic other than Looping. Survivors just don’t bother to use Pallets and Windows in unconventional ways. They don’t want to fake window vaults. They don’t want to fake Pallet Drops, run through, double back, drop it, slide if necessary.

Saying Nurse ignores mechanics is just a lie. You just have to use them completely differently than you usually do.

I'm not complaining about the nerfs. Quite frankly I find the Nurse easy to go against. But yeah, Killers would be fine if there weren't broken loops. I'm not wrong.

Why is it when you crouch and rescue somebody from the hook they start bolting away instead of crouching knowing that the traps are there?? I swear sometimes I just wanna go to the hatch and wait until they are all dead.

Thats the only thing why hags still do well. Give it a few month and survivors might have learned a few things

Hags been out for how long?

Also, hag buffed happen. She denies loops really well now.

Gosh, you really think Killers have 0 power at all and CAN'T OR WON'T GIVE GOOD KILLERS CREDIT FOR HAVING SKILL.

Killers are underpowered but some people can really play Killer super skillful.

Anyways @OP yeah, it's so annoying. Like, just crouch man lol you know there's traps?

    This one i can explain!
Sometimes survivors play minesweeper with the hag traps. Running everywhere to trigger the traps.
Either this, or they are not very smart. I never asked them tho.

Mind sweeper happens when someones in a chase and you're willing to take the heat, removing the hag from her chase, letting the injured survivor escape, and hoping you're skilled enough to get away.

The instadown addon from clown is the only way to make him somehow viable.
I disike the instadown on huntress because good survivors will notice and loop ya into oblivion and you have to wait for a mistake

I disagree, The Clown isn't viable period, just one annoying Killer with a really purposeless power. But giving him an instadown won't fix his problematic concept. No projectile based-anything in this game should give you an instadown.

Not true. After 2.0, you can land shots around alot of loops way easier now. The trucks have even been fixed (It's a miracle) Also, accept that The Huntress is viable, that if you DO have skill, looping doesn't always matter to The Huntress (This is only after 2.0) , and that her add on is complete BS like instaheals are.
It's the most stupid thing in the game. Instaheals and instahatchets need to go.

Predator actually no longer increases scratch mark duration, it just makes them tighter. (i.e. Instead of covering a large area, it covers a smaller area and shows you exactly where they went.)

Lightweight is pretty good as is. It's worth noting that scratch mark visibility is a curve. Toward the end of the curve, it's almost invisible. It's a little hard to describe, but there's some videos demonstrating lightweights effect lingering around. I'd recommend checking them out. It gives you a good feel for just how much it's already doing.

    Could you maybe link us?

  • Hey man,

From someone who solo survivor almost 95%.

I'm so sorry you had a bad experience. I really am: it's unmotivating when it comes to playing Killer. I am genuinely upset that Killers have experiences like this, it's why queue times are so high.

Maybe they'll do something, maybe. They should limit the use of perks or items when it's SWF or something.

But I am sorry, once again.... I don't have games like this when I solo queue, it must be because solo queue is balanced and SWF is OP. Idk.

    :(

However I think that you should get a constant amount of points every 10 seconds when you're not in a chase. If you do get in a chase, you'll lose a lot of points but if the last for a long time, you will get back the points that you lost and maybe earn more. :)

That actually sounds like a great fix. The main problem I have with it right now is sometimes the survivors need to hunt down the killer so they can get Evader points. 1) That is very contradictory and 2) it shouldn't be the survivors job to find the killer. The survivors shouldn't be punished because the killer can't find them.

    Completely and utterly agree.

My objective was optimally achieved when the Killer never managed to find me and chase me.

Isn't that the whole point? To do gens and avoid being caught by the Killer?

  • @Peanits said:
Honestly, I don't think it matters. I have zero issues finding another survivor to heal me. Even back when I did run self care, someone would usually show up mid heal to finish it off faster. Two survivors can heal each other in the same time as they could heal themselves with self care.

So if anything, it's base heal speed we're talking about. I could go either way on increasing that.

If it doesn't matter, you're proving the point of how it doesn't need to be touched then.

As it's not the core problem. It's the lilypad on the water that everyone likes to point out. Not the shark in the ocean, which is the length of gens to chases.

Self care doesn't need to be touched.

    Use bloodhound on her.

Even from gameplay, it's not hard to tell where an injured survivor is, let alone one that's leaving scratch marks.

    -She has map pressure
-Ambush, Is it really that hard to tell if someone's on a generator? Really? Use your brain.
-She is fun to use and go against, something they aim for.

No survivors are complaining, because infact, most of us think she's fairly balanced. In red ranks on PTB, it's been a very varied test so far - 4Ks here, 0Ks there, 1-3Ks sometimes. Personal experience here. Most of us already adapted, and I've even been using a special build just for her.

Everyone who's so quick to comments, doesn't actually bother with the PTB and actually playing it.

    This is my personal experience.

When she uses her ability for map pressure, she has no weapon against loops. It takes too much time to charge it while she has %110 ms. When she uses it in chases, a lot of pallets are not being used so you always have protection against her.

Her ambush is not that good. I need to be honest, maybe I didn't face enough good killers but I am in the red ranks too.

She is fun to play and go against, I have no objection here.

I think you are making a mistake when you say there are 4Ks etc. I don't think that I have ever done a generator in the PTB. Why would I sit on a generator, try to win the game in PTB? I generally follow the killer, try my new survivor perks, try to get her attention to chase me so that I can observe. It will be very different experience when she goes live because everybody will start to try to win the game as usual.

Routine-like matches are important to evaluate. To do a "regular" match in the PTB is important because they need experience of what a genuine match would be like in the live. Yes, it's good to break boundaries and go nuts and not be serious; try everything out. But both matches are as important.

The solution? Either not give a #########, or continue on to making your messages private. You're never going to get rid of any aggressive, salty, or rude people.

I understand DbD is implementing new report systems, but let's be honest, it's nearly impossible to ban everyone who harass each other.

@brady How does the pallet perk scale? I have only seen level 1 and at level one it's straight up garbage. I'm assuming it scales to 4, 3, and then 2? Even then every 3rd pallet auto breaking? I dunno. Seems like Brutal Strength would still be the superior perk. I do like the Hex perk which means it'll get nerfed before the end of the PTB I'm sure.

It scales to 2, which it comes in handy at some point. it's good for loops which are extremely exploited as all know.

Yeah, I hope it doesn't get nerfed. If it does, it should only apply to the survivor who cleansed the totem. Even then, I found this perk isn't OP. It just adds more caution to gameplay. Something that needs encouraging.

Also, not to mention how yet again a Killer gets top tier perks, and we're left with trash tier. (Deliverance is good atleast)

Are you kidding me? She has one perk that might be decent, Haunted Ground. Another is a perk that reveals her location when gens are done and the other breaks every 5th pallet. Sure one grants the Exposed status effect to an obsession but...so what? It's okay but certainly not top tier. Depending on how Spirit Fury scales to level III she might have 2 "Okay" perks and 1 "really good" perk, IMO.

Survivors are kind of in the same boat, with the exception of Deliverance. All three of the new survivor perks have proven quite useful. Maybe not "Meta" useful but I've enjoyed being a healing machine (40% faster after the easy 3 tokens) and the pebbles have actually helped with stealthing around quite a bit.

I'm not complaining: But the hex and pallet perks (Brain dead for name) will surely become meta like bamboozle. They give off interesting gameplay that really switch how things work. I actually love it.

Not the same for Survivors. I mean, none of this really changes the way things work except for DWM and Deliverance, but Deliverance is just a free unhook which something that's already easily done by fellow survivors.

  • @Tsulan said:
Yep. My prediction is, it will be meta as soon as the chapter releases.
The circle is complete. SC, DS, SB and now Deliverance. Will be the new meta.
Everything a survivor needs to be completely self sufficient.

    And you're complaining...because?

It's not DS. Also, not only is that getting a complete rework, deliverance applies a broken status effect for a considerable amount of time.

Also, not to mention how yet again a Killer gets top tier perks, and we're left with trash tier. (Deliverance is good atleast)

And from what I've played already, this Killer is really strong (not OP. dont mix the two)

DS needs to be removed entirely and a new perk to replace it.

Self Care doesn't need touching. I've explained this thoroughly multiple times.

The pallet changes are a GOOD THING. Enduring is in the meta right now due to the fact that when the vacuum was removed, survivors hitboxes are still active after the stun, which btw if you hit a survivor through a stun, it's stated that was completely unintentional.

Bloodlust in its current state punishes survivors that don't loop. They've stated their reasoning in the Q&A, you should watch it sometime. Although no opinion can be formed on the bloodlust changes until the PTB.

are you kidding? so what? you want survivors to pallet loop you more into oblivion so you get gen rushed to death and they all get ez escape? ######### is this game man

Again, if the hit for hit state of the pallets was intentional, and because none of you seem to understand that the devs stated IT IS NOT, I would not support the upcoming changes. But if that's the case, that something is not working how intended, I am in full support of whatever change regardless of which side it benefits most from.

You are talking to a survivor, you have to reailze that

You are talking to a killer, you have to realize that.

See how stupid that sounds? Stop justifying poor arguments with little points to back them up just because one player plays another side more. This is a discussion, there's no room for this stupid killer vs. survivor bullshit man.

PTB should be up soon, let me hear what you think of it will you? Unless you're just going to drop some biased, unjustifiable opinion.

Also, pallets are not the problem. Loops are. Prioritize your concerns.

It's not that big of a deal. Sadly nothing they can do. Simply go on to the next game, better luck next time.

A.) "Its not a big deal" is subjective. When you don't get a lot of opportunities to play, and the few games you do are not rewarding because the killer hard disconnects - it is a big deal.

B.) "Sadly nothing they can do" Thats flatly not true. The killer is the host of the game, and based on what I've seen, their programming logic is to not report back to Behavior servers until match completes. It should not be difficult to add a routine to the game that occasionally reports back to Behavior the current progress of the game. I'm sure its doing this in some manner already for other types of statistics. Adding in the blood points earned at that time should be trivial. That way, if the killer hard disconnects, the survivors could still get blood points since the last check-in.

I played on PS4 religiously, it doesn't happen often. It isn't a big deal, seriously. They've attempted to fix it, but they found there is nothing they can do.

Again, it doesn't even happen that often. Most Killers who dc, dc the proper way anyway.

  • Self Care is not broken, and I'll repeat it once more, is not in need of any buffs or nerfs. Maybe even reverse back to the old tiers, but it's not a problem. I'll thoroughly explain, and this is just from personal experience.

    1. The biggest concern with self care people seem to have: the risky action of bodyblocking.

People believe that if they nerf self care, or simply don't even have it as a perk, it will end this.

No, it won't, and it certainly hasn't. Any experienced player should not be afraid of being injured without healing yourself with self care. If I'm healthy, I'm still going to through a bodyblock if it's necessary. Guys, there's a perk that even supports it, used with No Mither.... David's perks....

Anyway, what people fail to understand is, if you have one person in your grasp, 3 others bodyblock and you hit them all. You have two options:
Wack them all and potentially lose the hook
Wack one or two, drop, and rinse and repeat. Many Killers have done this when there's a swarm, and it has resulted in many penalties on our end for not expecting the killer to drop and go after the first or second injured bodyblocking guy.

If that does happen: Everybody now has to heal, which is resulting in less generator progress being done (People are dumb and don't gen rush if they're all injured, and if they're all self caring that's 40s~ off a gen, which is about half a generator they missed out on completing. Statistics may be wrong, correct if so, but regardless time they are healing, is time they are NOT doing their objective, which is essentially slowing down the game.)

    "Self Care is a crutch"

Okay, I can see your arguments there. It's a very reliant perk, I agree. But so is Hex: Ruin, BBQ, and Nurse's. It's the super meta these days, and none of these perks are in need of a buff or nerf (minus the hex system but that's irrelevant). I mean, can't Survivors have a single perk that IS powerful? It just seems like everything we have as survivors is being totally picked at bit by bit... Utitlize your auditory senses, utilize Nurse's (You can't say Nurse's is trash perk as it doesn't barely work or else it wouldn't be META.)

The survivor was not found while healing for roughly 40s~(?), and yet you say they don't deserve the heal? Why not? You failed to find them even though they are grunting, blood pools, foot steps, grass noises, footstep noises... you still failed. Or even if you lost the chase, they obviously deserve to go on and heal.

And healing is not even a problem to begin with considering over half of the killer options, perks and powers included, OFFER INSTA DOWNS. But hey, healing is the main problem, right? Not the length of gens, length of chases due to loops, but it's the most basic mechanic in the game, right?

Not to mention, if Self Care gets touched, which by the sounds of it if it does it's gonna be a pretty serious nerf, I'll happily run Bond and Leader instead, which means: Faster Heals, Faster gen rushes, and more coordination! Actually hey, maybe you should nerf Self Care. It sounds way more beneficial. No salt, no jokes, I'm okay with Bond being meta and knowing my fellow teammates position nearly 24/7 instead of a simple 40s~(?) heal. By the way, this game is totally playable without perks even at Rank 1 (Not entirely the same for Killers...unless it's Billy or Nurse but it could be a give or take) and I never see much of a difference when I don't bring Self Care, which tells me it's not in need of any changes, but to each their own with ones opinion. :)

Yeah they should, as long as they don't hold the game hostage. And if they do, that's what the report system is for.

But that would have been a realistic high rank match. They need to see how SWF deathsquads are on high ranks. They do everything to make the solo survivor as strong as SWF. But it doesn´t look like they know what it really feels like to play vs SWF on high ranks. There was 0 looping shown. Just a survivor who dropped one pallet after another and still managed to walk Horvath around the map. You know how that chase would have looked with a rank 1 looper who knows exactly when to drop the pallet.

    but...but...

i don't wanna be as strong as SWF.. :( ....

  • The hit for hit state of the pallet is completely unintentional when they removed the vacuum.

If you're a Killer who says that's okay and is mad about this, then you must rely on some pretty cheap gameplay to get some hits down.
